I purchased a warranty for my 2020 Mercedes and also a few months ago for my daughters 2021 Bronco sport. Combined both warranties cost me over $8,500. On October 3, 2024 I brought my car into the mercedes dealership for a leaking radiator which turned out to be a defective welded joint. After several calls to Total Auto Protect the dealer finally got a response to send the documentation to them. They declined the claim and stated it was caused by "fluid" which is not covered! The damage was not "caused by fluid" so I responded in this manner asking for a call back to discuss. I have been calling the phone number 3 times/day for over two months and NEVER have been able to get through (listening to the recording for an hour each time then being disconnected, answering service was used for a short time stating they will contact me within 24-48 hrs - never heard back from anyone). I have filed a complain with the Attorney General's office, Better Business Bureau, Consumer Affairs and my next option is to file a complain with small claims court. This company is NOT a legitimate company, DO NOT USE THEM! I cannot stress enough the frustration with this company. They do not answer the phone regardless which button you push. THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM. Has anyone else filed a suit against Total Auto Protect? If so, please contact me as I will be filing suit today (12/16/24). I have also sent them an email requesting a cancellation without any response. Please spread the word NOT to use this company IF you are contacted or able to speak with someone!

Read the negative reviews and complaints. This company is a total scam and does not stand behind anything they tell you. My car was in the shop for over a month trying to contact them (me and the dealership). They FINALLY respond and rejected a defective radiator joint due to "fluid"! Then they would not respond to anything (several phone calls, emails etc). This company is a Total Auto FRAUD! I have emailed asking for explanation, I have emailed asking for a cancellation, I have emailed asking for a contact person, I have emailed asking for legal contact. None of which has been responded to. I have been trying to contact them daily for three months without response including 3 phone calls per day (that is 3 hours per day waiting on the phone for them to answer). I have over $8,500 invested in this fraudulent company.
Read the negative reviews. Those are the real ones! a rating of 3 stars is because they have posted fake reviews! Try to contact them yourself, they do not answer and if you are lucky enough to get through they will reject EVERY claim with a BS response and not give you a chance to discuss with them. My car was in the shop for over a month trying to contact them. DON"T PURCHASE FROM THEM!
