A Mixed Bag of Experiences on Toyhou.se
Toyhou.se, a platform for character repository, adoptable trading, and roleplay community, seems to evoke a range of emotions from its users. While some appreciate the customization options and the supportive community, others express concerns about moderation issues and lack of timely responses to critical matters. The site's invite-only system and premium features add layers of complexity to the user experience. It appears that navigating through the drama and potential risks of encountering inappropriate behavior requires a cautious approach. Despite its potential for creative expression and character organization, Toyhou.se seems to struggle with maintaining a safe and well-moderated environment for all users.
Absolutely annoyed/angry at mods
I wish I can give them a 0 star. They took ALL my characters. I don't have any of them
They stole them from me with no warning. I'm absolutely livid. This website sucks and all they want is money, no happiness. Just money. They don't understand how much I spent on them. When I mean by stole I mean by the ADMINS stole my characters. STOLE.
Toyhou.se's Disappointing Response to Harassment and Theft of Designs
I gotta say, I'm pretty disappointed with Toyhou.se. I've been trying to get one of my designs back from someone who's been using it inappropriately and harassing minors, including myself. I showed them proof of their predatory behavior, but it's been two whole weeks and I haven't heard a peep from them. It's not okay for people like this to be allowed to keep using the site like nothing's wrong.
I mean, seriously, what's the point of having a reporting system if they're just gonna ignore it? It's not like I'm the only one who's had to deal with this person, either. They've been stealing other people's characters and tracing art left and right, and it seems like nobody's doing anything about it.
I get that running a website is hard work, but come on. This is a serious issue that needs to be addressed. It's not just about my design or the other stolen characters, it's about protecting minors from predators like this. I hope Toyhou.se takes this seriously and starts cracking down on this kind of behavior.

Review: Toyhou.se - A Place to Store and Showcase Your Characters, but with Potential Issues
Toyhou.se is a website that has been around for a while now. It's a place where you can store and showcase your characters, whether they're original or fan-made. The site's owner, Lulu, is in charge of keeping things running smoothly, but unfortunately, some users have had negative experiences with her. Some have reported that she's unhelpful and slow to respond to reports, which can be frustrating if you're dealing with a problem on the site.
One of the most notable issues with Toyhou.se is the complaints thread. Some users have found it to be a joke, with little to no action taken on reported issues. Additionally, some of the more popular members of the site can be quite aggressive if you vent about something they don't like. This can create a hostile environment for new users who are just trying to get a feel for the site.
Another issue that some users have reported is the requirement to put trigger warnings on posts. While this is a good practice in general, it can be difficult for first-time users who may not be familiar with the concept. This can make it harder for them to navigate the site and feel comfortable sharing their work.
One of the biggest sources of drama on Toyhou.se is the closed species community. Some users have reported that it's very elitist, with a closed group of owners who talk negatively about members who don't have high art skills or "good" OC designs. This can create a toxic environment where users feel like they're not good enough to be part of the community.
Overall, some users have had negative experiences with Toyhou.se and have chosen to leave the site. While it can be a great place to showcase your characters, it's important to be aware of the potential issues and to take steps to protect yourself. If you're looking for an alternative, some users have recommended Charahub as a more positive and welcoming community.
Review of Toyhou.se: Customizable and Organized, but Beware of Underage Users and Unsavory Content
I'm a big fan of Toyhou.se, I even splurged on premium to make my pages look extra fancy. However, there are a few things that bother me about the site.
First off, I want to make it clear that I'm over 18 and I'm involved in the closed species community and I also create NSFW art.
One of the things I love about Toyhou.se is how customizable it is, even without premium. You can really make your pages look unique and personalized. The organization tools are also really helpful, especially if you have a lot of characters to keep track of. The message boards can be hit or miss, but I've found them to be helpful on occasion. And of course, like any site, there are some really nice people on Toyhou.se.
However, there are some downsides to the site as well. One of the biggest issues is that there are a lot of people under 18 who lie about their age to gain access to the site. This can be really frustrating, especially if you're trying to avoid certain types of content. Another issue is that complaint tickets often go unanswered for a while, which can be really frustrating if you're dealing with a serious issue.
Another thing to keep in mind is that you need an invitation to access the site, which can be a bit of a hassle. And the interface can be a bit confusing at first, especially since there isn't a lot of explanation provided.
Finally, like any site, Toyhou.se does have its fair share of unsavory characters. There are people on the site who are into some really disturbing things, and unfortunately, not much is done about it. This can be really concerning, especially if you're trying to avoid certain types of content.
Overall, I think Toyhou.se is a great site if you're just using it as a storage site for your characters. If you stick to linking it and avoid interacting with other users, you shouldn't run into too many issues. However, if you're looking for a more social experience, you may want to proceed with caution.
If you're still interested in the site, feel free to hit me up on Discord (BRONZE#0002) and I can send you an invite code.
Toyhou.se Review: Banned for Accidentally Entering Wrong Age
So, I had a bit of a rough time with Toyhou.se. I accidentally put in the wrong year for my date of birth when I signed up, and because I'm a minor, they thought I was trying to fake my age to access 18+ content. I mean, I did click on some of that stuff, but I always clicked away because it made me uncomfortable. I'm not into that kind of thing.
Anyway, I got banned for it, and even though I tried to explain what happened, they never responded to my emails. I've been trying to get in touch with them for a while now, but it seems like they just don't care. I don't know how many people are running the site, but it's pretty frustrating to not even get a response.
Aside from that, the site itself is okay. There are some people on there who probably shouldn't be, like pedos and stalkers and kids who are too young to be using it. But luckily, I never ran into any of those types. Overall, my experience was pretty good until I got banned.
I know I should have changed my date of birth in the settings, but I have a bad habit of saying I'll do something and then forgetting about it. It's just how I am. But still, I don't think I deserved to get banned for it. It was an honest mistake.
Anyway, sorry if my sentences are all over the place. This is my first review, and I'm not the best at writing. But I wanted to share my experience with Toyhou.se so that other people know what they're getting into.
Review: Toyhouse - A Great Site for Artists and Writers to Showcase Their Characters and Stories
out there. However, despite the lack of moderation, Toyhouse is still a great site for artists and writers alike to showcase their characters and stories. The site allows for a lot of customization, from character profiles to group pages, and the HTML and CSS options really allow for users to make their pages unique and stand out.
One thing to note is that the site is mostly geared towards roleplaying and character creation, so if that's not your cup of tea, then Toyhouse may not be the site for you. However, if you're into that sort of thing, then you'll find a lot of like-minded individuals on the site.
As for the user drama, it's unfortunately a common occurrence on any site with a large teenage user base. However, as long as you stay out of it and focus on your own content, you should be able to avoid any unnecessary drama.
Overall, Toyhouse is a great site for artists and writers to showcase their characters and stories. While the lack of moderation can be frustrating at times, the customization options and friendly community make up for it. And if you're willing to support the site, the optional premium subscription is a great way to do so.
Toyhouse Review: A Heaven for Artists, but Lacks Proper Moderation and Support
Toyhouse is a website that is truly amazing for artists. It has a lot of features that are very useful for them. You can store your characters, sell them, create worlds for roleplaying and story telling, create literatures, and more. It is a heaven for some of us and incredibly useful.
However, if you ever need to report something, the chances of anything being done are below 1%. No matter if it's a predator, scammer, or someone who is harassing you, the changes and improvements on the website are incredibly slow. Even after 4 or 5 years, the website is still on beta (which is why you need a code to log in). There is only one staff member for the whole website with over 3k users active daily, and that is obviously not nearly enough. I now have over 20 reports sitting in the report section, and none of them get answered. I had even more on my old account. I don't know why the owner doesn't add mods or admins, but it makes it really hard to deal with sometimes. There are many people who simply do not listen to the rules and post things they're not supposed to. Most commonly, they post uncensored NSFW despite the many minors on the website, and weird OCs romanticizing terrible things (in that case most commonly nazi oc's).
Overall, there are many nice people on Toyhouse. But since it takes ages to receive any sort of action from the owner, there are a few bad apples laying around where the only way of protection is a block.
Other than that, it's a nice website. Once it is off beta and has more staff, I will definitely recommend it. But right now? Never, no matter how much I love the site.
Toyhou.se Review: Terrible Banning System and Lack of User Safety
Toyhou.se is a website that is supposed to be a safe space for people to share their creative works, especially their original characters. However, my experience on the site was not a positive one. In fact, I was wrongfully banned three times, which left a sour taste in my mouth.
One of the biggest issues I had with Toyhou.se was their banning system. It was terrible. They would take down innocent characters at the speed of light, even if the character had one simple trait from their weird species. Meanwhile, predators, stalkers, and groomers were running freely on the site. Children were getting banned by random people that they had a bad experience with, and people were not being taken seriously by the mods and never getting responses.
The worst part was that they didn't warn you or let you try to fix your mistakes, especially with the age falsification ban. When you contacted their email, they simply ghosted you. It was frustrating and made me feel like I had no control over my account.
In my opinion, the website is basically only good for scamming groomers. Creepy adults that the Toyhou.se mods somehow take seriously. When I was banned, my friend was permanently banned as well. Why, you may ask? Because two adults who loved to take advantage of minors banned us because we told them we didn't want to talk to them anymore. We were instantly banned (since only the adults are taken seriously!) and weren't allowed back. My account is banned for 4 years while my friend's is permanent.
I just do NOT recommend Toyhou.se, especially for random kids that just want to store their ocs or writing. If you're planning on doing that, start running because GOOD GOLLY is that site awful. And, mind you, in the screenshot it says I interacted with sexual content (which I did NOT, it just says that for every age falsification ban which is quite harmful since I did nothing of the sort lol. I didn't even know you could upload nsfw or have nsfw on the site, so I believed I was okay).
Overall, my experience on Toyhou.se was not a good one. I would not recommend it to anyone, especially those who are looking for a safe space to share their creative works. The banning system is terrible, and the mods do not take the safety of their users seriously. It's a shame because the idea behind the site is a good one, but the execution is lacking.
Toyhou.se Review: Toxic Community and Lack of Moderation Make it a Poor Choice for Creators
I've been using Toyhou.se for a few months now, and I have to say, my experience has been less than ideal. While it started off well enough, things quickly went downhill, and I wouldn't recommend this site to anyone who values their creative freedom.
One of the biggest issues with Toyhou.se is the toxic community. If you happen to write something that doesn't sit well with the majority, you can expect to be harassed relentlessly. I myself was accused of being "suspicious" simply for venting about a topic that's close to my heart and affects me in real life. I'm short and often compared to a child due to genetics that I have no control over. While I've learned to live with it, it's still hurtful when people make comments about it. Unfortunately, on Toyhou.se, this seems to be a common occurrence.
What's even more frustrating is that the moderators don't seem to do anything about it. The forums are a mess of people shouting "CP" at things that clearly aren't, and the entire site seems to rally behind them. It's offensive and frankly, exhausting.
If you're looking for a place to store your characters, I'd recommend creating a Neocities account instead. Don't waste your time or money on Toyhou.se - it's simply not worth it. While the site may have some redeeming qualities, the toxic community and lack of support from the moderators make it a less than ideal choice for creators.
Toyhou.se Review: A Toxic Community with No Moderation or Support
This website, Toyhou.se, is not worth your time. While it may be popular among those who enjoy creating original characters, it lacks any sort of moderation. The admin seems to be incompetent and refuses to hire any help, which is ridiculous considering the size of the website. It's been in alpha development for years with no sign of ever actually going public, but even if it did, it wouldn't matter much since getting a code is very easy.
The website is full of doxxing, harassment, stalking, and callout posts. Drama-hungry children seem to be the norm here, to the point where there are multiple "drama" blogs dedicated to talking about the users who use it. These blogs are often full of nefarious claims, to the point where many users feel like they're walking on eggshells while being on the site. Users have no etiquette and will openly dogpile you if they disagree with you. If you like problematic material such as anime with 18+ themes or transgressive works of fiction, forget it - they'll harass you off the site.
If you have any issues with the website, don't bother raising a ticket. They won't get answered for months at a time. If you're okay with being scammed, having your characters disrespected or stolen, or otherwise planning on locking yourself down on "quiet mode" and being a hermit, then go for it. However, I've never been on a site as badly run or with as many reactionary, cruel users in all my years.
My advice would be to stick to other OC sites such as Refsheet, Charahub, or OCbin. The lack of moderation or concern from the admin is absolutely monstrous. They seem to be complicit in allowing users to make insane bogus callout posts accusing people of horrific crimes ranging from pedophilia to abuse. I actually think the admin is scared of the userbase and backlash, and they've lost all sense of a backbone. It's the users that control the website, and they do it by bullying and harassing others.
Toyhou.se Review: Disappointing User Experience, Toxic Community, and Paywalls
I've been using Toyhou.se for a few years now to keep track of my original characters and artwork, but I have to say, I'm pretty disappointed with the site. It's not very user-friendly, and there's not a lot of guidance available unless you already know someone who can help you out. Plus, there are some really toxic people on the site who can make your experience pretty unpleasant. I've reported a few of them, but only one person actually got banned.
I've had some serious issues with other users on the site, too. One person promised to give me back a character, but then refused to do so even after I provided proof. When I reported it to Toyhou.se, they said they couldn't do anything because the conversation happened on Discord. And then there's another person who keeps stalking me and encouraging others to make false reports against me. All Toyhou.se has said is that they'll keep it in mind for future reports, but they haven't actually done anything about it.
It's not surprising, though, that the site has problems like this. There's only one admin now, and they refuse to hire any new staff. And some basic functions, like looking up certain forum posts or mass uploading characters and images, are locked behind a paywall. You even have to pay to customize your profile! And honestly, it's not worth the price. The site is broken and has been in beta for years. The only way to get in is by using codes or paying, and the admin won't do anything to stop people from selling or trading codes for outrageous prices.
I really can't recommend this site to anyone. I've seen people get wrongfully banned while actual bad people get to stay on the site. And if you do decide to leave, you won't even be able to see your characters anymore. Plus, there are a lot of pedophiles on the site, so I definitely wouldn't recommend it for minors. If you're looking for a Toyhou.se alternative, I suggest you keep looking. There are better options out there that will be much more worth your time.
Toyhou.se Complaints 4
Toyhou.se Review: A Frustrating Experience with Account Creation
Toyhou.se is a website that is supposed to be for people who want to showcase their art and characters. However, I had a really hard time trying to make an account on this website. It was a complete waste of my time. The website is just AWFULL. It tells you that you need a code to make an account. What website does that? It's just ridiculous.
I tried to find a way to get a code, but I couldn't find anything. I even tried to contact the support team, but they didn't respond. It's just frustrating. I don't understand why they would make it so difficult to make an account. It's like they don't want people to use their website.
Overall, I would not recommend Toyhou.se to anyone. It's just not worth the hassle. There are plenty of other websites out there that are much easier to use and don't require a code to make an account. Save yourself the trouble and find a different website to showcase your art and characters.
Toyhou.se Review: Serious Safety Concerns and Lack of Moderation
Toyhou.se is a site that's got some serious issues. There are a lot of people on there who are up to no good. Predators, abusers, stalkers, and art thieves are all over the place. And it's not just adults who are causing problems. There are kids on there who are lying about their age just so they can access NSFW content.
The moderation on Toyhou.se is pretty much non-existent. I've had a ticket submitted for a well-known pedophile for over a year now, and I still haven't gotten a response. It's really frustrating to see this kind of thing happening on a site that's supposed to be a safe space for artists and creators.
If you're thinking about joining Toyhou.se, I would definitely think twice. There are a lot of risks involved, and the site doesn't seem to be doing much to protect its users. It's a shame, because there are a lot of talented people on there who deserve better. But until the site gets its act together, I would recommend staying away.
Mixed Experiences with Toyhou.se: A Review
Toyhou.se is a website where you can keep track of all your characters. However, I've had some issues with it. I lost a lot of my characters because I got banned, even though I didn't do anything wrong. It's also really hard to get a code to join the website. I mean, seriously, these codes are super hard to get. So, if you're thinking about joining, you might want to think twice.
Another thing that I don't like about Toyhou.se is that there are a lot of bullies on the website. I've had some bad experiences with people who were just mean for no reason. One time, I even made someone some free art of their character, and they blocked me! I mean, what's up with that? It's not like I did anything wrong.
The only good thing about Toyhou.se is that you can get compliments and free characters. But, other than that, I don't really see the point of using it. If you're looking for a website to keep track of your characters, there are probably better options out there.

Toyhou.se Review: Great for Organizing Characters, Terrible Customer Service
Toyhou.se is a website that's really good for keeping track of all your fictional creations. It's a great place to store all your characters and their stories. But, let me tell you, it can be a real pain in the butt when you need to report a problem to the helpdesk. The admin takes forever to respond to reports, and it can take hours, if not days, to get a response.
I've been having some serious issues with someone stealing my characters, and it's been a real headache trying to get the admin to do something about it. They've only been warned once, and the problem is still ongoing. It's really frustrating, and it makes me wonder if the admin even cares about the users on the site.
Overall, I'd say that Toyhou.se is a good site for keeping track of your fictional creations, but if you run into any problems, don't expect the admin to be very helpful. They're slow to respond and don't seem to take user complaints seriously. So, if you're looking for a site with good customer service, this might not be the one for you.
A creator that has about 87.3k subscribers on YouTube named Rainbott has seemed to wrongfully had their account permanently banned. On twitter it appears that Rainbott has lost artwork, and can't contact toyhou.se.
