lies and cheats
I previously was salesman at Elgin Toyota and everything being commented about this dealeship is true. The problem however does not lie in the salesmen. For the most part the salesman are good men and women but they are FORCED to do unscrupulous things under the direction of Bob Ellis. The problem is Bob Ellis the GM. The little troll with glasses at the managers desk. Everyone that works for this man hates him with a passion. Not one person at Elgin Toyota respects this individual. Nothing and I mean nothing happens at this dealership without his ok. His only concern is getting you to part with your money and he will do and say anything to get you to sign a contract. He will then hide behind his lawyers when you have a problem or issue. He is a liar, manipulator, and a bully. You cannot trust him any further than you can throw him. He threatens his sales people with emotional, financial, and social ruin on a daily basis. Look in the sales peoples eyes when you get there. They have the 1, 000 yard stare usually associated with people who have suffered PTSD. Bob Locquercio is the store owner, Mega millionaire, and he is responsible for this. All of the salesman and women are starting to organize to get rid of this tird (B.E.) I worked there for 2 years I made life long friends but regrettably had to quit because I could no longer stomach the daily abuse and allegations of misconduct that are spurious lies and completely untrue. I can prove it. One year later, 11/18/09, I went to visit my friend there because I need a car. I was there 5 min. when Bob Ellis came up to me, rudely interrupted us as to why I was there, and promptly thru me out because he is holding a grudge from 1 YEAR AGO. He said that I owed him $1000 for a car another employee smashed I stood up to him and quit because of his lack of ethics and unwillingness to seak out or listen to the truth. He then sent me an email that said that he was getting an order of no contact against me and that I was not to contact him, the store, or his family. Mind you I have NEVER threatened this man in any way shape or form Ever. I was actually at his store to buy a car from my buddy. Read the back and forth email below to get an idea of what really is going on behind those beedy little eyes of his.

rip off
I purchased a Toyota Coaster from Toyota Trinidad Limited last year. The vehicle was listed with all the features listed below:
Center Door
Rear Window Wiper
Front Headrest
Fuel Lid Opener
Rear Window Defogger
Intermitten Windshield Wiper
Digital Clock
Factory Air Conditioning System
Brakes Front Ventilated Disc and Rear Drum
High Speed Sensitive Power Steering
Reverse Warning Buzzer
Driver and Passenger Sun Visors
Tripmeter
Front & Rear Mud Guards
Side Door Mirrors
and listed at $440, 000.00 TTD. I explicitly inquired to confirm the features. I paid amount quoted however the vehicle came with half the features. The sale rep Brendon Ache signed agreeing that the features are missing. The company to date has refused to install or refund me for the features. The director later stated if I want the feature that was suppose to be on the vehicle I need to pay an additional $92, 000.00 TTD.
After all this horror with what is suppose to be a reputable company I went to purchase parts from them as the vehicle was in a accident. The total cost of the parts was approx. $56, 000.00TTD, and I casually inquired if I will get a discount due to the size purchase and if was GIVEN. But I already had a manager's check for the full amount. I was told to pay with the check and I will receive a refund for the difference. It has been 5 month and still have not received the refund. The director "Andre Baptist" sent me an email stating if I drop any and all legal action against Toyota Trinidad he is issue the refund for an approx amount of $17, 000.00TTD.
Toyota Trinidad and Andre Baptist has gone from using Trick and Bait tactics to Ransom Tactics.
I'm shock that a reputable company like Toyota can allow a pig headed man set such a reputation for them in one of their locations. How can the heads of a company stand by and allow a director rob customers and tarnish their company's reputation.
I have copies of all documents to support my claim and emails from the director "Andre Baptist"
I hope Toyota this issue can be resolved and not allow one man acting as a director to tarnish their company's name.

called me a liar
Personnel at RK Toyota had me in vehicle that we were very interested in. We were referred by a business associate of my spouse. They were very pleasant initially. After narrowing the decision down to two cars Rk told me to overnight test drive it. We are business owners and called the original salesperson after the overnight in the '10 Camry LE and wanted to know how much it would cost to add certain amenities to it. After listing the amenities he mentioned we would come out cheaper buying the XLE. I came in after work that day 11-3 and they were closing. He put me in the XLE with rider plates. I preface by saying in my life I never did an overnight test drive and it insurance details were never explained to me by any of RK personnel.
We decide to go with the XLE. Saturday morn I did an internet search to ensure the buyer's invoice presented was a fair market price (looking for a deal). The search resulted in 3 different dealership trying to compete with the MSRP presented by RK. To be fair to RK I called the dealership with the most competitive offer and RK; I asked them both to fax the best offer. RK faxed 30k and the other organization couldn't beat that. My wife and I were going to buy from RK. I get 5 calls on my cell phone on 11-7 from RK on our busiest day at the store. One of the messages I saved where the RK salesperson accused me of driving the vehicle to other car lots (was at my store all day). He left a very distasteful, nasty message where he called me a liar! I was upset. These accusations were made without having any conversation with me by a gentleman that I never met in the week of dealing and interacting with RK. His manager called me (while I was with a customer) and berated me and also said I was playing games and lying. He wouldn't really let me speak. I left my store after closing and called the District Manager and asked him politely if we might meet. He agreed.
When I got to his office I played the message left by his employee. He agreed the employee was out of line and begins to tell me he was under a lot of stress. He told me he was brought in to “clean up the dealership”. We came to an understanding that evening. I received apologies from him and his employee who left the message. My wife and I decided to continue with the deal. He put me in another dealer plate. We decided to finalize everything on Monday. We communicated during the week via email and text about funding the purchase. Thursday this area had a severe tropical storm. I went to work. I had no problems with the morning commute. We actually had a busy day at the store. I did close about 30 minutes early because flood warnings were in effect. The commute home was very smooth. I had to make one detour away from a flooded area. As I approached my neighborhood (about a block away) there were high waters. I trailed a truck and a car. They made it, but I stalled. Two neighbors helped me push the car into the yard. The next morning it didn’t start. I called the district manager in question. He mentioned I should contact our insurance company. I told him the vehicle had not been added yet. He mentioned we would have the service department at RK look at it and then move forward. AAA towed me in and I called him as I was in route.
As service was looking at the vehicle to determine the problem I spoke with him several times (he did not arrive at work yet). During the last conversation I mentioned a concern about the insurance. From that point on he let me have it. Even after the understanding on 11-7 he again called me a liar, said I wasn’t a Christian, threaten to sue me for the $10, 000 dealer deductible and it went on and on. At a point I even put him speaker phone and his staff heard everything he was saying. He would not allow me to speak at all. I was very upset. One of his co-workers mentioned he heard most of what went on apologized for the manger’s actions and words. He gave me a ride to work. We are not buying the vehicle and will never do business with RK. We are reporting this to Toyota Corporate.

My experience was great. I got my previous Prius there. I've always gotten good service . John is wonderful. Lamar is wonderful and the manager is great too. My previous car was totaled. I love the car. I took a trip to the Outer Banks with my daughter. We saw wild horses and had a great time. And I only filled the gas tank once. Yep, only once. I really love that car. I would recommend Lamar, John, the manager and the girl in finance. They're all wonderful, kind people. I've always gotton such good service from them.
My experience was good. I've bought two other cars there. Lamar was great. He first worked with my daughter, and then with me. I paid cash. It's a nice car. It was all right!
I thought it was one of the best car buying experiences I ever had. We were thinking about a new car. That day I said, this is it. We were down around that area, so we went in. That, and I wouldn't ever buy from Casey. Marvin did a great job. He took the lead. It's a nice car; I like it.
I am part of the management team at the dealership and I just found your posting, this morning. I apologize that you had a bad experience, but before now, we were not aware of your concerns. We really do appreciate you as a customer of ours. My direct dial number is 431-6507. Sincerely, Tom Kline, Controller
shady shady shady business practices
I too fell for thier games. I think its called bait and switch-what they do there. My experience was terrible also. The staff doesnt know squat about what they are selling-they are lucky that toyota does good advertising and has a great website. The Rk website only leads you to one thing- a credit application- so they can see if you are even worth thier time. Second, Every issue I brought to management, they had some excuse about someones kid being sick or under a lot of pressure_funny thing is the guy i worked with told me the pressure he was under was from his boss!- bla bla bla... so glad you posted this and I hope others ( there are others) post as well, maybe we can save someone else the agony of ever having those jerks in thier life. In closing, since then i have researched lther local toyota dealers and they also say lots of great things about themselves, but they also have many awards from toyota and other reputable organizations- rk has none.
extremely poor customer service
I contacted the fleet manager at Right Toyota (Elvis) and worked out a deal to get a new RAV-4. Elvis told me about a car that would be coming in and he would make sure he called me when it got there so we could complete the transaction. He completely dropped the ball. The car came in after two weeks and was sold while Elvis was "asleep at the wheel". These car salesmen continue to jerk you around and live up the their bottom feeder stereotype. Stay away from Right Toyota.

Hello, On Monday November 9, 2009, I took my 2008 Scion in for an Oil change, Rotation of Tires, and to Fix Fenderliner (as it was rubbing tire). I was there for 2 hours. I ordered A 2017 Venza with custom options. After waiting 2 months, I was informed that the combination of options that I ordered were not available. However, they did have another car with different options. Nice game. They got the order knowing that it could not be fulfilled and then attemped the switch. Nice try.
Then David Maus Toyota would not respond to my requests for refund of $1, 000 deposit. My Credit Card Company took care of that saving me time and aggravation in filing a law suit.
Take this as words of warning in any dealings with David Maus Toyota.

I had bought a car from david maus toyota earlier this year and im pissed they went over my payment amount that I wanted and went to get service this past weekend only because they have free oil changes for me but of course there is some other ### wrong in this case it was my brake fluid and not happy and it costs me 95 bucks I have to pay a high car payment plus this I wish I had never bought the car there and the advertisements say that they do whatever it takes like scam ppl
While wintering in Florida, we took our Avalon to David Maus Toyota in Sanford, Fl for it's 60, 000 mile service. The car was returned with greasy foot prints all over the drivers floor mat, which took them an hour to clean when we returned to the dealer. But wait! When we drove home to Indiana a couple days later, we found oil on our garage floor. Our local dealer determined the oil plug was loose, no new gasket had been installed, and we had lost over a quart of oil on the drive home. But this is not the end of the story.
When we took our car to our local dealer for it's next scheduled service, they informed me that the radiator coolant overflow reservoir had been topped off with power steering or transmission fluid! True story! This contamination corroded the radiator seals and hoses, costing me more than $250 in repairs. This error is even dumber than not tightening the oil drain plug!
I wrote certified letters to both David Maus and the service consultant, Ty Ostreicher asking for reimbursement to correct their errors. Neither bothered with a reply. For the record, the Certified Technician shown on the inspection report is one M. Corbin.
I strongly recommend you stay away from David Maus Toyota. They provide absolutely the worst service experience I have ever received, and they will make absolutely no effort to make things right. STAY AWAY!
bad services
I want to state my grievances which I experienced at your work shop in Sunny Toyota kanpur road..
While driving from my home town Allahabad to Lucknow in my way on Tuesday 3rd of nov-2009 at 10.30;am
I called up at your work shop regarding my vehicle’s pre appointment Qualis No- UP-70-AB-7387, in order to avoid inconvenience vice-a-versa ; a female receptionist passed my call to another concerned dept where my appointment was been observed.
Around 11.40 am I reached your work shop where I met Mr, Abhisheak, and here it took me almost 2 hrs 20 minutes to get my vehicle registered for service which is supposed to be due at 79 km. imagine 2 and a half hour I had to wait to get my paper done I wonder what factor took your staff take such a huge time ? And at the other side your work shop promises your customers for getting service done in 6o minutes ( express). and here it took me 2 & half hr to register my Qualis.
Here I gave my typed slip to this gentleman mentioning 16 points of work to be done in my vehicle; at 6.30 pm on the same day, when I sent my driver to collect the vehicle, where he learned that leave alone 7 out of 16 points, none was been done to my surprise, and instead of fixing my seat’s problem your work Dept staff ended up breaking my front left seat’s spring lock which was supposed to be fixed since it was working loose and had to be repaired or change, and they got my illiterate driver sign the release paper with the bills …. Mentioning that the owner refused to flag the additional work due to his own time problem …… imagine ! and all my journey of 5 hrs from Lucknow to Allahabd, with the distress and uncomfortable posture I maintained out of that seat along with other co passengers you can imagine very well
For your information just due to all these irregularities and UN professionalism I stopped sending my vehicle to Rajendra Toyota varanasi which is half the kilometer than your Sunny work shop… I wonder why I exhaust extra 120 km to send my vehicle to Lucknow (Sunny Toyota )
At last now I guess I must find another place where my vehicle could be taken care of followed by right kind of service…. As a customer I am highly disappointed.. here! Or I must instigate people to opt for owing another company’s vehicle rather than ….TOYOTAS’….. Due to poor service and- UN professionalism .which I practically experienced simultaneously right from 2 places 1st from Rajendra Toyota Varanasi and now from Sunny Toyota Lucknow … alas! you cant expect me to leave my work and keep sending my vehicle all the way 200 km from Allahabad to Lucknow, and its neither possible for me to afford with such a vehicle and the deplorable services given by you.

wheel bearing assembly
I have a 2008 Toyota Tundra, approx 61, 000 miles. The right front bearing have gone out. I contacted toyota and was told that item is covered under the powertrain warranty. Too bad for me that warranty is only 60, 000 miles, eventhough I am only about 1, 200 miles over the warranty toyota would not help me out. They said if I had been doing all my service ie...oil changes with them then maybe they would have helped me out. WOW, that sure doesn't seem to be very good treatment for their customers (not to mention a $43, 000 pickup truck) I buy a new truck every 24-30 months and have never had a bearing go out on me. Atleast government motors (GM) gives a 100, 000 mile powertrain warranty. Guess its time to go back to GM . BEWARE of the Tundra '08 and up, I have found numerous bloggs online where people are having the same problem with bearings going out, some at 15, 000 - 20, 000 miles. I guess toyota doesn't care about their customers enough to fix an obvious problem they selling. BY THE WAY, THE TUNDRA CREW CAB CAN NOT PULL A 5TH WHEEL TRAILER BY DESIGN FROM TOYOTA.

buying a new car
Toyota of Pacific Beach is terrible when it comes to sales and finance! I bought a brand new scion tc from this location. The salesman who was helping me out knew absoutely nothing about the car, and didnt even know how to open the sunroof, yet he was getting commission on it. Once I bought the car, he forgot to fill the car up with gas and also sticker the documents to the inside of the window. He compained that he was tired, because it was after 10pm at night. When I had to deal with finances after, the associate forgot to print up some of the paperwork I had to fill out! I swear there were mistakes left and right, and I had to deal with horrible service! I suggest anyone who is looking to buy a car, steer clear of this dealership!

service
Toyota Scion of Escondido is the worst when it comes to customer service. They definitely work you around their schedule, instead of putting customers first. Most of the managers for the service department are extremely rude! They may quote you once price, however be aware that price is never set in stone! I had service done on my scion, and was quoted a price, and signed for it. When it came time to pay, the price had completely changed, and they had done the work without my approval. They are dishonest and and a rip off. Their customer service is far less than satisfactory. They better wise up or they are going to lose more business. I definitely will never go back again.

recall
I bought toyota corolla S 2009 rebuilt and my friend also bought same year corolla S rebuilt. He took his car to toyota dealer and they did that for free because it was RECALL and he told me that you should make a appointment when i called them she asked for VIN# i gave she booked me for recall service when i went their lady goes OH your car is rebuilt so we can't do that. I don't know whats difference i am paying same insurance ICBC inspecters passed to be on road now its toyota's problem and these guys saying we don't want to do that. IF TOYOTA DIDN'T DO THIS RECALL FOR MY CAR I WOULD NEVER EVER BUY TOYOTA VEHICLE AGAIN

If you went to Granville Toyota on Fraser, I am not surprised you had a bad experience. When I went for a new Camry I was really excited about it. I got into some good natured negotiating at first, then the furtther along we got, the more conflicting was the salespersons (EU) promises, to the managers (BM) to the finance office (FY). I bought the car taking their word that they would follow through on what was agreed, but when it came to the day to take delivery, I didn't get accessories I was promised (visor and undercoat), paid a different price because they said freight costs had increased since I ordered the car, and was forced to pay for some theft insurance they said was already on the car. Now I'm not the most loud spoken guy and my English isn't perfect, but I'm NOT STUPID, as they thought i was because they actually tried to convince me undercoat was applied when there was still bare metal in the wheel wells and no sticky black stuff on the underside! Also I really was dumb or was tricked into not getting a copy of the deal sheet the day I signed the deal and left my deposit (only got credit card receipt at that time), but I know they offerered me $700 on a "rewards card" in writing. What was the most insulting thing to me was when I looked at the open file on the finance managers desk, on the original deal sheet I had signed they had the audacity to change the handwritten 700 into a 400! I didnt even say anything about that because i was really in shock they would go so low and was even second guessing myself at the time if it really was 400 or not, and being already frustrated about the other things, I didnt even care about their rewards program(suppose to be like cash on your next purchase). I went along with everything since it was a beautiful day, I just wanted to get out in my new car (Black 2012 v6 Camry SE) and just vowed never to purchase another Toyota again. But after thinking about it and talking to people, I realize it is the dealerships fault and nothing to do with the brand. Should have asked earlier, but everyone I talked to who drove Toyota for a long time(a lot of people), knows of this stores bad reputation for sales and servicing, lying unprofessional and rude staff, unethical pricing "policies" (and many other horror stories, even from insiders!). So unless you want to learn the hard way, what i learned was to goto Regency or Openroad in Richmond, and STAY AWAY FROM GRANVILLE TOYOTA!

I looked at http://newboldtoyota.zoomshare.com and found it to be very helpful. Shopping for my Dad is hard enough without sending him to a bad dealership and upsetting him. When I called [protected] I could not get pricing info on the phone, so I went to their web site at www.newboldtoyota.com. I got an online quote. I had the quote in my pocket when I went back in. I was given a much higher price than I was quoted online for the exact same vehicle stock number.
Why did I get two different prices?
This is a RIP-OFF dealership. When I was brought up to the Managers Desk, Keith told me that the Internet department doesn't price correctly and that the model was highly sought after. I walked out!
STAY AWAY!
scam, do not use!
We bought a new 2010 tundra, the company had it brought in, we took the truck home and did not notice the deep scratches in the bed;we called and took it back in, and all they wanted to do was lousy touch up at first then they they offered a bed liner but only if we paid 300.00 and they pay 75.00;we have called toyota 3 times and they have contacted them and still no response how would you like to buy a new truck and then discover a bunch of scratches and then as if you haven't paid enough they want you to pay for something that was not caused by you;which they hint that you did.

poor customer service
They registered my toyota prius incorrectly. Although I told them my car was tax exempt and the bill of sales included no sales tax, they paid sales tax on my car to the ct dmv (even though the car is tax exempt in ct). Then they lied saying I was supposed to have supplied a tax exempt form. According tot he ct dmv there is no such form. My boss bought a toyota prius from them and the from the same sales man, and he didn't supply any special form. When I bought the car they even confirmed that there should be no sales tax. They made a misstake and let me clean up their mess. It took almost 3 months to get a refund from the ct department of revenues and I spend $ and make several phone calls to get it all sorted out. Toyota of morristown refused to take any responsibility or compensate me for their error. Further, the car was supposed to be registered in both my wife's and my name, and they only registered in my name.

consumer fraud
On 7/18/09 I sent my "like new" 2007 yaris to maroone toyota for 30, 000 miles maintenance. Their garage gave me back a car that was altered and dirty.
—
I trusted them enough to send my car in for maintenance every 5, 000 miles as stated in their advertisement. This time I went in for 30, 000 mile scheduled maintenance. Since that maintenance visit, I have become more and more sure that my car is not the same one I sent into their garage.
I believe that both front car seats were replaced. The airbag "on" light was green, now is "yellow". One tire shows excessive and uneven wear which was not there before, possibly due to an alignment problem. The rear view mirrow is different now and may not even be a "toyota part".
Before I went to your shop that morning, I thoroughly cleaned inside the car from top to bottom (even the arm rests and under all the rugs). When it came back to me, I found the carpet beneath the driver's side rug was worn out. This makes no sense because I just cleaned the carpet that morning and there was no wear & tear beneath the rug at all. The upper portion of the "stereo with cd player" dash panel is definitely not the original, with a dull finish now compared to the shiny finish it had before. The radio sound is also louder now than in the past. The metal surfaces of the arm rests on both front doors appear worn out, with a dull finish, not shiny as before. The gas cap is not the same one as before. The headliner fabric around the edges shows signs of having been cleaned, but mine was never dirty... Etc.
—
I want someone to show me those places on the yaris that permanently record the vin, not just the upper dashboard and paper labels, so I can confirm the vin myself. With the changed condition of the car's interior and uncertainty regarding mechanical problems, i'm afraid the car might not be safe for me to drive. I just don't know this yaris anymore. I wonder whether this car was given maintenance every 5000 miles like mine was. Is this a 2007 yaris with 2005 parts?
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
One is very clean, one is very dirty. One is like new, one is wear & tear. One is from Japan, one is from Mexico, because Mexican coins were in the pocket (no offensive to our Spanish friends). Do not recall the car ever went to Mexico. Just compare them side-by-side, even people with extreme near sight can see the different between them without going to pull engine ID, but our service director in Maroone Toyota apparently does not get it. He probably saw too many dirty hands, so who cares about one more. But one bad apple is one bad apple, It is one more than enough. It is taking one to pollute all. That the reason why GM is no longer to be number one. Because that same GM I had complained on April, 2007 did not take my words seriously. In my opinion if one company has to be so desperately to do these tricks. The ending of the empire is near. " Intent to defraud" behavior is always worse than "unintended", and history will be the judge
literally sickening imagery in advert
I nearly vomited up my dinner a few minutes ago due to a sickening image contained withih Toyota's new TV advertisement. The literally sickening image was of a man in a public spa bath surfacing the water with a bloodied bandaid stuck to the side of his mouth and him taking a while to realise what it is. How disgusting, especially given I hadn't just finished eating my dinner and nearly vomitted it back up. I enjoyed my dinner - spent up long time tonight preparing my favourite meal. I am annoyed that this advertisement nearly caused me to vomit it back up! I'll now have to wait for my stomach to settle down after seeing this advert before I can have any dessert. Very poor taste, Toyota! This advert was on channel 10 at around 8:30pm.
