I had a reservation for 3 nights from August 1- August 4th, 2024. I called Holiday Inn Express on July 31st at 4:09pm to advise my flight was not arriving in Milwaukee until almost midnight on the 1st and having to pick up a rental car I didn't expect to arrive at the location before 1am. I arrived at 1:10am on the 2nd only to be told by an extremely unhelpful front desk employee that there were no rooms. I clarified I had a reservation, she asked for my name, and then said she sees the reservation, but they got busy and now have no rooms. I asked how could they give my room away when I paid and she replied I had not paid anything. After traveling from Houston and arriving at my destination only to be told the room I had partially paid for was not available, and with NO offer of any assistance such as "let me see if one of our other properties may be able to accommodate you"... I had no choice but to walk out of the lobby, sit in the car and start the process of finding another place to sleep at 1:16am. This was the most unbelievable, disappointing and frustrating hotel experience I've ever had.
Claimed loss: $112.37- I paid on 6/9 when reservation was made with an additional $283.61 to be paid upon check in.
Desired outcome: I want a refund of the $112.37 which is the amount I had paid when I made the reservation on 6/9/24.
