Happy hour comedy show
This website offers many interesting places to visit, entertainment shows an restaurant discounts. I have used this website many times and always very pleased with the outcomes of my choices. Last night I saw a very funny comedian along with a terrific magician. Securing tickets is just downloading the information along with the tickets. I would recommend this site to others - and have done so with my Las Vegas friends. Thank you for offering these services- and making my life enjoyable.
Shari Sushi restaurant in Orlando Fl
We had the most wonderful dining experience at Shari Sushi. We went there for our 35th wedding anniversary and Diem, our waitress, approached us with Happy Anniversary and complimentary champagne. She was a very attentive, delightful, and helpful waitress that gave us wonderful service. We bought the $40 and got $80 worth of food voucher from Travelzoo. It was plenty of food for 2 people. We got 2 appetizers and 4 specialty sushi rolls, The food was delicious and the Strawberry Cone dessert was excellent. My favorite sushi was the surf and turf. We will be going back!

Customer service
Paid for my son and his partner to have a meal at the Ritz as a Xmas present. He decided it wasn't for him, even though it was after the 14 day cancellation period I rang Travelzoo, bit shocked to find out it is an American company. You are told you will only be charged at UK rate. Wow, what customer service, I was refunded the full amount of the deal. The lady I spoke to was amazing. Its a shame some of our English call centres don't have the same attitude. I have bought from them before but never had to contact them, don't be afraid of using this company their customer service is second to none.
907 Main, Central Square, Cambridge, Ma - Best Wedding We Could Wish For!
With my son and new daughter-in-law having had to re-schedule their wedding date twice before in 2020, choosing 907 Main was like it was meant to be. Everyone from Catherine at the Front Desk offering to deliver our guests gift bags for us to Liz setting up the gorgeous private dinner table were so accommodating, as were the wait staff and bartenders too! Not to mention what a beautiful job they did setting up the rooftop wedding ceremony itself - simply spectacular and breathtaking! Thank you to all at 907 for ALL you did for making N & J's wedding one we will always remember now with a smile! Mrs. B.
Used twice - 2 great experiences
In the summer of 2016, hubby and I went to Washington DC for a monument/museum vacation. We purchased a bus tour package (they had a special buy 1 get 1) and we were able to get transported to and from several monuments and museums in a day. The tour was great and also has a very cordial and informative bus driver... all for the low price of $29. Most recently, we had to stay in Boston for a long weekend for business at a convention center. I wanted to stay at the hotel across the street for convenience purposes and only Travelzoo had the best prices out of all the sites: expedia, hotwire, kayak, etc. Never count out Travelzoo!

Wow. they've been really good
Reading the other reviews makes me wonder...
I've used TZ for a few things locally and even used them for a travel package and have never experienced the 'horror' stories some reviewers are leaving.
Every promise made and voucher used has been honored without any problems whatsoever.
Thus, I am leaving them a good and positive review, but, based on what other info that I'm reading, I'll certainly use prudence when booking my next adventure.
Obviously, you should to.
What I am impressed with is that TZ has responded to each negative review here with a follow up response...
Candidly, a 'shady' business isn't likely to respond in any fashion.
So, in my multiple experiences with TZ, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them at all.
Best wishes!
Brilliant
My son and daughter in law bought my partner a voucher as a Christmas gift for a Gin and tonic afternoon tea for two at The Old Palace hotel in Lincoln near the cathedral and castle. For one reason or another we have only just been able to use this after being told by the venue that their offer had been extended. We arrived a bit earlier than we had booked, and were shown straight to our table. The waitress was very pleasant. The food was tasty, choice of flavours of teas, and choice of flavour with gin and tonic. Surroundings very plush with view through big windows of the city. An enjoyable visit. We decided we will return sometime to stay at the hotel and to be able to have a look around the area. Well done Travel Zoo on choice of hotel.
So disappointed in my most recent Travelzoo purchase
So disappointed in my most recent Travelzoo purchase. The write-up for the deal was not true. Travelzoo staff did not check up on claims made by the *** "Resort"Hotel on St. Pete's Beach either because they don't care or because they are inefficient. Whichever the reason, I ended up paying for a lot of hype. My room did not have a lanai or balcony. The daily yoga is only on Saturday morning. The free bikes , advertised that are pictured on the website and on the in room TV channel are NOT the bikes they offer. There were 4 old bikes available. The location of the resort was not on a bike friendly road. No social distancing if using the resort's chairs. I feel like Travel Zoo set me up. They should not offer these deals sight unseen OR with no invested concern on their transparency.

Lobster Lobster Lobster
Mio Fratello, Selbyville, De. Wednesday night special is lobster that is served in several different dishes. My husband & I both had the lobster diablo, salad, italian bread & coffee/arnold palmer. The salad was very fresh & had a delicious vinegarette dressing. The bread was warm & very good. The main course was served with a lobster tail that had been cracked & the meat was extremely tender with a great flavor. The sauce was a marinara served over thin spaghetti. You have your choice of several pastas. We were too full to get dessert. Our waitress (Joy) was polite, knowledgeable & very attentive. The tables were coved in a white cloth. Our bill was just under $50 plus our tip. The meal was excellent. I would highly recommend this restaurant. It doesn't open until one daily.
Stay at Wicker Guesthouse in Key West was the best
We had originally booked for a later date but the Wicker was able to accommodate us 2 weeks earlier keeping us at the booking.com rate. It was the true Key West experience from the perfect location, our room was probably just renovated so had absolutely no complaints. The pool is located next to a restaurant that has live entertainment so you can lounge by the pool listening to the music from next door. Great continental breakfast. Parking was limited but considering the location in the heart of Duval St. It is totally understandable. Entire staff was friendly, Pat was the best and Don, the owner was always present and talking with the guests. Ernestine Hemingway, the cat, was comical and wanted to visit. We will definitely return. I usually will not give anything 5 stars but if you want the true Key West feel this is the place to be.
Beware when booking with Travelzoo
Beware when booking with Travelzoo. We booked a trip with them only to find out we had really booked a trip with a *** company -***. We were supposed to have a boat trip around the island on our 2nd day which was canceled without any notice and we only found out once we got to the port -no refund was given. I tested positive for covid and was unable to fly home. I got in touch with *** and was told that I had to make all of my own arrangements, they were of no help whatsoever! I was in another country and didn't speak the language. Luckily the hotel let me stay an extra 10 days and I was able to (after many phone calls and lots of time) make my flight home an open ticket at no extra cost. I had to reschedule the transfer shuttle/ferry/shuttle once I tested negative and was told by Travelzoo and *** that I would have to pay for it even though I had already paid for it and wasn't able to use it at the time. It was about $77. I couldn't believe that they wouldn't cover it especially after *** Airlines and Hotel *** were so accomodating and they weren't the company that I had originally booked with. So, booking with Travelzoo is all well and good until you have an issue - than they are of no help at all. It's really bad customer service and we won't use them again.

Copacabana Angistri Greece
The Copacabana is a family run business in Skala, Agistri, Greece. They have rooms with views of the beach and mountains. Their food is the absolute best, it is all homemade with the most amazing desserts, even the sauces for the desserts are home made! See them on Facebook. They are lovely people who make you feel like part of the family and people return again and again. The island is small and unspoiled and most of the restaurants and bars are linked by family. I have been many times and wish I could get there more frequently. The island is reached by ferry from Piraeus harbour, Athens. It has a nightclub but the bars and restaurants provide the evening entertainment. If you want beautiful scenery, fabulous food and the most friendly of greetings, this is for you.The beaches are beautiful, the sunsets are amazing and the food fantastic, what more could you want?
TravelZoo Movie Night & Restaurant.com Deal Review: Misleading Ad, Frustrating Fandango Experience & Rip-Off Certificate
I recently purchased two Travel Zoo coupons for a "Movie Night for 2 w/$100 certificate Restaurant.com bonus" deal. The coupons were supposed to be good for "any Fandango movie tickets including IMAX and 3-D films", "including new releases". However, when I tried to buy tickets for a Sunday morning showing of 'Gravity' on opening weekend, the Fandango site said "unable to process order please try a different showtime". All the showtimes on Sunday were unavailable, but Tuesday showtimes were all available through Fandango. I had to call the cinema directly and speak to the manager to find out that they had plenty of tickets for Sunday. After waiting for more than 30 minutes on the phone with the Fandango call center, they told me to clear my cookies and "Ray" showed me how to do it. That worked and I was able to purchase the tickets. However, I was left wondering why Fandango would put a cookie on my computer to block a weekend sale for Regal Cinemas.
To make matters worse, using Fandango charges an extra 'convenience fee' which is more than a third of the price of the ticket to use the TravelZoo prepaid ticket. I ended up spending $56 for $30 worth of movie tickets through Fandango.
The Restaurant.com certificate 'deal' was also a total rip-off. The ad implied a '$100 Restaurant.com bonus' which made it seem like the restaurants on restaurant.com were available. The ad also said "Dining options include Zagat-praised steakhouses and top-rated sushi bars". However, the different 'restaurants' that were available were only places I'd take people to if I wanted to insult them. Plus, you don't get a $100 Restaurant.com bonus per se - you get a credit towards $100 worth of coupons for sad restaurants that you can only use in $5 - $35 increments, depending on the restaurant, if you spend one and a half times that amount at the restaurant, and you can't combine coupons. My $100 worth of coupons would cost me $150 (at least) to use.
I called TravelZoo to complain that the ad was immorally misleading and I pointed out that there weren't any "Zagat-praised" steakhouses etc., available. However, I was told that it was too bad for me. Overall, I was extremely disappointed with my experience with TravelZoo and would not recommend it to anyone.
Beware of Booking with Travelzoo: Lack of Responsibility for Travel Partner's Actions
Travelzoo is a website that offers travel deals to its customers. However, there are some things to be aware of before booking with them. In December 2019, Travelzoo sent out an email to its subscribers promoting a Thailand trip as one of its "Top 20" deals. The email included a link to the Travelzoo webpage, which had another link to the actual travel provider, Phoenix Holidays. Trusting Travelzoo's recommendation, a customer booked the trip for Feb 25, 2020, and paid $2,813.
Due to COVID, the trip got postponed several times, and ultimately Phoenix Holidays stopped responding to the customer's emails. A Travelzoo representative confirmed that the company was out of business, apologized, and asked the customer to send documentation from Phoenix Holidays for a possible refund. After the customer submitted the documents, Travelzoo responded that it had no responsibility for the loss because it was only an "advertiser."
This is a concerning situation because just because Travelzoo acts as an advertiser and front-end portal for its travel partners doesn't absolve it of wrongdoing of its travel partner. It has the responsibility to vet and ensure that its travel partners are financially secure and not scammers. Otherwise, it needs to let its customers know that it takes no responsibility in the event of loss and that there is, indeed, a real risk of loss.
Travelzoo did not make this disclaimer or indicate this risk. Had it not promoted the Thailand trip in its Top 20 newsletter and provided the link to the travel partner on its website, the customer would never have booked the trip. Had it stated that there was a potential risk of loss of advance payment because it does not take responsibility for its travel partners and does not vet them or hold back funds or a reserve for losses, the customer would never have booked the trip and lost their money.
Travelzoo now refuses to discuss restitution, even for the commission it made from the customer's payment. They simply provided a link to a Quebec government website to submit a claim (all in French) or contact the Travelzoo legal department. This is unacceptable, and Travelzoo needs to take responsibility for its actions and the actions of its travel partners. Customers should not have to worry about losing their money when booking through Travelzoo.
Jetline Vacations Review: A Scam Travel Tour Company to Avoid at All Costs
I gotta tell ya, I booked a trip to Lisbon and Italy for me and my partner through Jetline Vacations before the pandemic hit. The original price was $2800, but I wanted to upgrade to 5-star hotels and non-stop flights, so I ended up paying $3850. I paid half up front, but then the pandemic happened and our trip got postponed until October 2021. I asked for a refund, but they told me not to worry and that my money was safe.
Fast forward a year later, and a salesman contacted me saying that flights and hotels were more expensive now. He said he couldn't get me direct flights and 5-star hotels for the same price, so he rearranged our itinerary and included budget airlines and cheap trains throughout the countries. The new price? $5260. We got our itinerary after paying in full, but then we realized that most of the transfers from airports to hotels and train stations weren't included. Plus, the hotels were basic and we had to pay extra to upgrade. One hotel in Rome, the Hotel Gambrinus, was completely filthy and disgusting. They claimed it was a 4-star hotel, but it looked like it hadn't been updated since World War II. There was no computer, and they were checking in guests with pen and paper. When we got to our room, it was already occupied by someone else. They gave us a new room, but it was also filthy and had no electricity. My wife was so disgusted that she took our luggage and left the hotel. We had to book another hotel for the night and pay for a taxi to take us there.
We were on the phone with Jetline customer service 3 or 4 times a day, but they had all sorts of excuses. They gave us a train from Rome to Naples that cost 12 euros and took 3.5 hours to get there. We ended up paying 40 euros for a fast train that took only 1 hour. At that point, we stopped contacting them and did our own itinerary. In the end, we spent over $9000 for an 11-day trip. If I had arranged it myself, it would have cost me half that amount with better hotels, food, and no aggravation.
Let me tell you, folks, do NOT book any tours with Jetline Travel Tour Company. They are a scam. Travelzoo should really review these companies to make sure they're reliable and honest.
Disastrous Experience with Travelzoo: Incompetent Agents and Booking Glitches Ruined Our Trip
This review is gonna be a long one, but I gotta share my experience with Travelzoo. Let me tell you, it was a complete disaster. First off, they booked us at the wrong hotel due to some technical glitch. We were supposed to be in Miami, but they booked us for Atlanta. What the heck?! The confirmation email and pre-arrival alert email clearly stated the Miami hotel info. We tried to contact them, but their offices were closed and we were stranded in Miami until 1am. It was not a good look for two girls traveling alone.
The next morning, we called Travelzoo and the agent was so incompetent. She gave us the runaround and didn't seem to care about our situation. At first, she said they were fully responsible and would refund us completely and rebook us near the original location. She even said they could cover $300-$600/night. But then she suggested a Hilton in Princeton for $75/night. Hold up, New Jersey?! That's not even close to Miami. She apologized and offered us a few options, but it was a mess. After we selected a hotel, she put us on hold for 15 minutes and then came back asking if we had decided on a hotel. Like, what were you doing for the past 15 minutes? She then told us we would have to pay for the hotel and they couldn't guarantee reimbursement. We were stuck waiting in a random hotel lobby, and the prices were triple the original amount. It was a nightmare.
We finally found another hotel, but it was more expensive than the original booking. We didn't hear back from Travelzoo until the next day, and they only offered to cover up to $100. Are you kidding me? We had to book a hotel away from the main area for $400 a night because of their mistake. Our entire trip was ruined, and we ended up sleeping through New Year's Eve because we were so exhausted from running around for three days.
After going back and forth for hours, Travelzoo only offered to cover the original booking amount and didn't even accommodate us for their mistake. We had to cover the extra charges, which were several hundred dollars. It was a complete disaster, and I wouldn't recommend Travelzoo to anyone. Go with established travel sites like Orbitz, Expedia, or Booking. They have 24-hour support and are reputable. The agents at Travelzoo are rude, incompetent, and don't care about customer service or safety. I've shared my terrible experience with my combined 900k Instagram and Facebook followers, and I hope no one has to go through what we did.
Disappointing Customer Service Experience with Travelzoo: Ignored My Proof and Accepted Incorrect Information from Business Partner
I recently made a booking on Travelzoo for a two-night stay at a hotel in Montreal in late October. However, I had to cancel the booking within the "no penalty time" and was charged for one night by the hotel despite having proof from Travelzoo that the reservation was cancelled in time. I was surprised to see the charge on my Mastercard statement and immediately contacted Travelzoo to report the error.
Travelzoo "forwarded" my complaint to the hotel, but the hotel denied that I was charged. I provided Travelzoo with a copy of my Mastercard statement as proof, but they still accepted the hotel's incorrect information instead of my documented evidence. I was disappointed that Travelzoo did not advocate for me and simply forwarded my issue to the hotel without taking any helpful action.
I spent over a month trying to resolve the issue while Travelzoo did nothing to support me. Even after receiving a customary response from Lisa Oswald, VP of Travelzoo, asking me to rate my customer service experience, I never received any follow-up from Travelzoo.
While Travelzoo may offer good products and prices, I cannot recommend them if you run into any issues. In my case, they ignored my documented proof and accepted incorrect information from their business partner. If you encounter any problems, don't expect Travelzoo to help you.
Terrible Experience with TravelZoo: False Advertising and No Refunds
TravelZoo is a company that I would not recommend to anyone. My experience with them was terrible, and I want to share it with others so that they don't make the same mistake I did. I booked a trip for two adults in March 2021, which was supposed to take place in November 2021. The website clearly stated that the trip was fully refundable, which was the reason why I booked it in the first place. However, when the COVID-19 rules changed in the country I was traveling to, I had to cancel my trip. I contacted Jetline Holidays, the merchant that TravelZoo works with, for a refund, but they ignored me for three months. When they finally responded, they offered me a credit note or voucher, which I knew was not a good deal. I didn't want to accept it because it would expire without notice, and I would have to wait in a queue to use it. Moreover, it wouldn't be a full credit of what I paid for my original vacation, and my next trip would cost me 2x-3x what I paid.
I kept trying to get a refund, but Jetline Holidays kept giving me the runaround. I got desperate and contacted TravelZoo, hoping that they could help me. I wrote a review for them on ConsumerAffairs, and they responded kindly. However, when I emailed them with evidence of my situation, they told me that it was a no-change fee policy, not a fully refundable one. They basically told me to deal with Jetline Holidays myself. I was furious because I knew that I had read fully refundable correctly. I don't even know what a "no change fee policy" means. TravelZoo could be telling me anything they want and then blaming Jetline Holidays for it, yet they still do business with them.
To make matters worse, Jetline Holidays charged me much more later on and canceled a hotel, even though I had already asked to cancel the trip overall. They were the most difficult company I ever dealt with. I wish I had paid with my AMEX because Jetline claimed they didn't accept Discover or AMEX. If I had paid with my AMEX, I would have had my money back within days. Now, I'm out $1500, and I had to give back $750 out of my own pocket because the other traveler wanted her money back.
TravelZoo claims that I was the one in error and refused to take responsibility for their merchant who made the change. Their Trustpilot reviews are also oddly positive compared to here in SiteJabber. I've already attempted to reach out to them for help, but they've proven to me that they simply don't care. If you choose to use TravelZoo, be careful and read the terms and conditions carefully. They advertise deals that aren't what they claim them to be. I won't be reaching out to such a horrible company ever again.

I bought a hotel deal for a stay in NYC at the St giles (last week of Oct)
I bought a hotel deal for a stay in NYC at the St giles (last week of Oct). I paid the 50% deposit which was approx $436. As of Oct *, I called the hotel and it was closed due to COVID. I cancelled the package I bought through Travelzoo and am entitled to a full refund per the policy: "Cancellations must be made prior to 3pm local time, 7 days before arrival to receive a full refund of the 50% deposit (room and tax). The 50% deposit (room and tax) will be forfeited for cancellations received after this time or no shows. Modifications can be made without penalty within 7 days of arrival, rate changes may apply." It has been over a month and I have not received my money; any refund delay over 30 days would be deemed unreasonable under consumer law. They keep telling me "the hotel assures refunds will be granted" but do not provide a timeframe or take any responsibility for facilitating this fraudulent transaction --- deal for a hotel that's not even open.

We booked a trip in November of 2019 through 2019 and we tried to cancel the reservation. NO one answers the phones- the is absolutely customer service. We tried through AMEX to resolve this and Travelzoo said the had no record of a cancelation. Of course they don't they do not answer the phones
The company booked a trip for my dad, he needed to cancel it, they told us it was directed to one of their affiliates. Their affiliate will not provide the refund, I think they are going out of business and taking the funds with them.
False claim by Travel Zoo that the provider hotel declined the refund
False claim by Travel Zoo that the provider hotel declined the refund. The hotel informed us they were never contacted by TravelZoo regarding cancellation. I booked a package vacation for two in Paris, France via TravelZoo, total cost was $1518. Travel dates were 03//2020-03//2020, booking reference #***. During departure at LAX we were informed by the airline that the return flight(s) got cancelled due to COVID19 travel restrictions imposed by US government. We have immediately called TravelZoo and were advised to cancel the trip because the flight arrangement effectively became one-way. On the call we have confirmed we were cancelling departure and asked to start cancellation / refund process. On 03/*** we have also sent an e-mail message to TravelZoo asking to make a refund attempt with the providers involved (Hotel *** in Paris and Norwegian Airlines). Since then we contacted TravelZoo on 03/, 04/,05/,05/,05/*** checking the status of refund or possible credit and finally on 06/*** we were told that the hotel "declined the date change as well as the possibility of any refunds" and the airline refunds return flight in the amount of $384. On 06/*** we have contacted the hotel directly and got an immediate response that TravelZoo never requested to cancel this reservation or contacted the hotel regarding it.

My family had a trip booked for NYC from 3/**-3/**
My family had a trip booked for NYC from 3/-3/. Weeks before our trip, there were concerns about COVID-19 and I contacted the site by email to ask about how our trip may be effected. I was told as long as the hotel could accommodate us we were good to go and cancellations would be considered voluntary and non refundable. On 3/*** the state of New York went under a state of emergency and i was unsure what this may mean for our trip. I tried to contact Travelzoo by phone and kept being sent to a voicemail. I left my confirmation number, contact information and questions but never got a response. I also tried contacting the hotel located in Times Square to verify that they would be able to accommodate my family for our trip. After several hours of calling the hotel front desk, I was not able to get anyone to answer. The home office was unable to direct me to anyone at the hotel in New York. At this point, I’m unsure about being able to have a place to stay once we got into the city. Due to this concern, my family decides to not travel because of the risk involved of not having a place to stay when we got there. I emailed the company to inquire about a refund or a voucher to rebook our trip for a later date. I received an email from Travelzoo that “they unfortunately couldn’t refund or allow us to rebook because our cancellation was voluntary”. I have to argue that this cancellation is totally “voluntary” but more necessary considering the safety concerns we had combined with the lack of information about what was going on at the time. I’m sure this company will be more than willing to accept any government funding that may be available to them in the upcoming weeks, but have scammed many out of their money because of this pandemic.

Refund not received
I had to cancel my travel zoo holiday due to a death in the family, this was also before the period of cancellation time was due to expire so it should not have affected my refund anyway. I requested a refund due to this, provided them with proof as requested but I’m am still fighting to get my money back from them and have heard nothing since last year. It has been an extremely upsetting time already, this has been a very frustrating time being messed around by them. The reference number for the holiday was BOH7617. It was a 4 day trip to Poland for the December Christmas market weekend break to Krakow.
Claimed loss: £339
Desired outcome: Full refund asap.

(booking numbers 4673430/4 and 4673430/6). Total cost of the trip was $3358.00 and included transportation from LAX to BALI and back and accommodations. in BALI.
The BALI part of this trip was fantastic. The issue was returning to LAX. Jetline vacation issued us an itinerary in November, prior to us paying for the trip, with a return date of March 19, 2023. Once we paid in full, on Jan. 16th, 2023 we were issued another itinerary with a return date of March 20, 2023, We received another email on Feb 7, 2023 with same itinerary (return 3/20//23). We purchased a non refundable ticket from LAX to OKC for March 21,2023 based on these two emailed itineraries.
We left BALI on 3/19/2023 and returned to LAX on the 19th, not the 20th, as stated in our Jan and Feb itineraries.
Upon return to OKC, I emailed Jetline vacation and received a emailed response that they would look into this issue and get back with me in thirty days. When did not happen, I called them and realized that no one had addressed my complaint. After several phone calls with the agent from Jetline vacation, I was informed , several times, that our return date was the 19th, as stated in their email to me and thus then were not responsible . I questioned them about the emails from them in January and Feb with different dates and they refused to acknowledge these dates I also emailed copies of our January and February itineraries
We are requesting reimbursement of the hotel room on March 19th and reimbursement of food for the additional day. They are refusing to fix this saying it was my problem because I did not read the itinerary. They are refusing to consider the Jan and Feb emailed itineries to me upon which I based my return flight to OKC.
Desired outcome: Consider not using jetliner vacations

Terrible Customer Service and Complicated Process: My Experience with Travelzoo Voucher
I bought a voucher from Travelzoo for a fandango movie and a dinner at restaurant.com for only $29. I got the voucher a few months ago and forgot about it until I got an email from Travelzoo that it was about to expire. The email had a link that I clicked on and it took me to Fandango where I selected two tickets for a movie. I had to enter my credit card information and I did. After I completed the transaction, I realized that I had been charged for the tickets. I contacted Travelzoo to ask if this was correct since I had already paid $29 for the voucher. They told me that I did not follow the instructions on the voucher and that I should have gone to restaurant.com first. I explained that I was a new customer and that I had clicked on the link in the email they sent me. I also told them that I had already purchased movie tickets and that I wouldn't be able to go to two movies this weekend. I asked if they could refund the voucher since I couldn't use it. They said that they don't provide refunds and that I should have followed the instructions. I explained that I didn't realize it would be so complicated to use their product and that they should make allowances for new customers. They still said that they have a no refund policy. Their customer service was terrible. They would rather keep the $29 than cultivate a return customer. I don't think a company like that will last very long. My advice is to avoid Travelzoo. Their operation is borderline scam and they don't back the product they sell. Their customer service is non-existent.

Beware of Travelzoo: Poor Customer Service and Website Problems
I recently got an email from Travelzoo about a deal in Downtown St Louis at a hotel for a pretty reasonable rate for one night on Wed 11/23. I was excited to stay close by as there was a large boxing fundraiser nearby that night. I booked it through the email, giving all my information, but I never received any email from them confirming or saying it didn't go through. I checked everywhere, but there was nothing. I called the hotel directly, but they had no reservation for me.
A couple of days before I was supposed to stay, I suddenly received my email giving me my confirmation itinerary. I called Travelzoo to see what the cancellation policy was since I needed to quickly see if I could still go to the event and stay the night. As I was inquiring with the customer service rep about the policy, she first told me that they definitely sent me a message right away on the 10th when I made the reservation, making me sound like I was an idiot. But, I knew that wasn't true because they didn't send it until 11/20. I explained that I didn't want to cancel yet, I was just inquiring how long I had because I never got any info from them. She proceeded to tell me she already cancelled it. I was shocked and confused. I didn't ask her to do that, I was just inquiring. She apologized all over the place and said she could call the hotel and when the cancellation came through, they could ignore it. But, I didn't trust that. I said never mind, I'm done with Travelzoo.
Beware of Travelzoo. They have very poor customer service and obvious website problems if they're not going to send you a confirmation or any type of email about your reservation until a few days before. It's frustrating and inconvenient to deal with these issues, especially when you're trying to plan a trip. I wouldn't recommend using Travelzoo for your travel needs.

TravelZoo Review: Terrible Customer Service and Refund Policy
I bought two vouchers from TravelZoo for two people to stay at The Clevelands House Resort in the Muskokas, Ontario for two nights. TravelZoo's website stated that I could cancel within seven days for a full refund, but after that, the hotel's policy would apply. Being a savvy shopper, I checked the resort's website, and it said that I could cancel seven days before my reservation date for a full refund. Unfortunately, we had to cancel, and I contacted The Clevelands House. They agreed that I was entitled to a full refund and advised me to contact TravelZoo, which I did. I eventually spoke to Jamie and her boss Lana (real names? I doubt it). They told me that I wasn't entitled to a refund because it was after their seven-day policy. I informed them of the resort's cancellation policy, but they were unhelpful and dismissive. Lana even told me to "do whatever you want" when I threatened to sue them in small claims court.
I contacted the resort again, and they were incredibly helpful. They emailed TravelZoo on my behalf, but they received no response. Unfortunately, the resort couldn't give me a refund because they hadn't been paid by TravelZoo. According to TravelZoo's fine print, all disputes must go through their dispute resolution company. I called them, but they had never heard of TravelZoo. Frustrated, I contacted my credit card company, and they investigated the matter and charged back the amounts to TravelZoo.
My advice to anyone considering using TravelZoo is to steer clear. Instead, try Groupon or SkyAuction.com. We've used them many times and have always been satisfied. Dealing with the "donkeys" at The Zoo is not worth the hassle.

Disappointing Stay at Damson Dene Hotel Booked Through Travelzoo: False Advertising and Poor Customer Service
I recently booked a two-night stay at the Damson Dene Hotel through Travelzoo, and I have to say, I was extremely disappointed with my experience. The pictures that were shown on the website were completely inaccurate, and when I arrived at the hotel, I was greeted by two very rude receptionists who didn't seem to care about my concerns.
I explained to them that the hotel looked nothing like the photos that were advertised, and they simply replied with a dismissive "erm, well there was a lake at the back." Despite my reservations, I decided to go ahead and see the room anyway. However, I was given the key without any guidance on where to find it, and as I was walking up to the room, I overheard the receptionist speaking about me and my complaints.
When I finally entered the room, I was hit with a strong smell of smoke, and the walls were damp with cigarette burns in the bath and a curtain placed on the bed. The room was freezing, as it wasn't double glazed, and it was not at all what I had paid for. I was appalled by the condition of the room and the fact that it was falsely advertised on Travelzoo's website.
To make matters worse, the hotel was not suitable for residents as there was no lock on the doors. When I tried to contact Travelzoo to complain and request a refund, I was unable to find a phone number to speak to someone directly. This lack of customer service is completely unacceptable, and I am now out of pocket as I had to pay an additional £300 to stay elsewhere for the two nights.
Fortunately, the hotel we found was fantastic. It had boutique rooms and complementary wine and drinks, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. It was a far cry from the Damson Dene, and I would strongly advise against staying at this hotel or booking through Travelzoo.
Overall, my experience with Travelzoo and the Damson Dene Hotel was extremely disappointing. The false advertising and lack of customer service were unacceptable, and I would not recommend either to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday.

Disappointing Customer Service Experience with Travelzoo for Korean Spa Vouchers
So, I recently bought two vouchers for a Korean Spa from Travelzoo. I was super excited to go with my friends on Saturday, but when we got there, they wouldn't accept the vouchers because of some system outage on Travelzoo's end. I was so disappointed because I had to pay the full price, which was almost double what I paid for the vouchers. Plus, the Spa was pretty far from my home, so it was a real bummer.
I called Travelzoo's customer service two days later, and the first thing they suggested was that I could go another time when their system was working. Like, seriously? That's not helpful at all. I had to argue with the representative to get any kind of compensation. Finally, after waiting for a while, she offered me a refund of $30 and a $20 credit from Travelzoo. But, I had to pay $50 for the services, so the $20 credit didn't really make up for it. My friend had gotten a $30 credit earlier that day, so I asked for the same.
Then, I was transferred to a supervisor named Sean. He was really difficult to deal with. At first, he said that if they gave me a $30 credit and refunded me $30, it would cost them $60. But, that didn't make sense because the $30 they were refunding was my money in the first place. He kept arguing that I got the services, but I had to pay $50 for them, which was not fair. Then, he said he was only authorized to give me a $20 credit and that he needed to speak to his supervisor for the $30 credit.
I asked to speak to his supervisor, but suddenly, he said that they were offsite and there was no one above him that he could transfer me to. He asked for my friend's name, but I didn't want to give it to him. I was so frustrated that I just told him I was going to write a consumer complaint and hung up.
Overall, I was really disappointed with Travelzoo's customer service. They didn't seem to care about my situation and were really difficult to deal with. I don't think I'll be using their services again in the future.

Travelzoo Review: Great Deals, But Beware of Fine Print and Customer Service
Travelzoo is a website where you can find some great deals on travel and experiences, but you have to be careful when you make a purchase. It's important to do your research online and not make any purchases after midnight or while you're drunk surfing. Sometimes the deals are good, but sometimes they're not.
I recently bought a ten-course tasting menu at a restaurant called iNG, which I had always wanted to go to. I saved $6,3%, but then the restaurant dropped the quality of the menu and closed for remodeling for 3-4 months. I was locked into Travelzoo's boilerplate and had to fight with them about whether it met their standards or not. It's important to read the fine print and check all the limitations and exclusions for menu, expiration date, and holidays. If you don't, you might regret it later.
If something goes wrong, Groupon is the best at fixing it. Living Social has too many limitations and fine print, and it took me months to correct my Travelzoo mistake. I had to do a lot of customer service training at Travelzoo along the way. So be careful or you'll spend a lot of time with semi-unempowered people at Travelzoo until you finally get to talk to someone who can help you.
Travelzoo is not a member of BBB, and they have a lousy B- rating with 49 complaints closed in the last 3 years and 27 closed in the last 12 months. That's very bad. If you can't resolve your issue with Travelzoo, file a BBB complaint online or over the phone. It won't cost you anything, and BBB will try to help you. Good luck!
Travelzoo Deal: Winery Tour, Wine Glasses, and Gourmet Lunch - Total Bust!
I gotta say, I bought this deal from Travelzoo and it was a total bust. I mean, I thought I was getting a steal - a winery tour, wine glasses, and a gourmet lunch for only $29? Regularly $62? Sign me up! But man, was I disappointed.
First of all, we had to make a reservation for the tour and when we got there, there was only one other couple there. The tour guide took us on a walk to see the vines, but they were mostly dead. Then we went back to the main building, which used to be a biker bar, and saw an empty room where last year's crop was supposed to be. Apparently, it got wiped out by a cold snap. Not a great start.
Then they tried to sell us on a wine tasting for an extra $24 per couple. We decided to skip it, but they took away our free wine glasses anyway. And the tasting portions were so small - like, one ounce per taste. What a ripoff.
Finally, it was time for the gourmet lunch. And let me tell you, it was anything but gourmet. We each got half a ham and cheese sandwich on rye bread, plus two tiny pieces of bread crust with nuts and a slice of cucumber. That's it. And I had to pay extra for a half glass of wine for my wife. We drove three hours round trip for this?
I called Travelzoo to complain, but all they did was give me a ticket number and tell me someone from "Merchant Services" would call me back. Two days later, I had to follow up with another customer service rep who said he would "escalate the issue," but I still haven't heard anything. What a waste of time and money. I'll stick with Groupon from now on.
Disastrous Spring Break Trip: My Experience Booking with Travelzoo
I gotta say, I've used Travelzoo before and it's been awesome. I've told all my buddies and even my work peeps about it. But, my last vacay that I booked through Travelzoo was a total bust. I took my daughter to Bimini, hoping for some chillaxin' in the sun. But, as soon as we got to the hotel, we could tell something was off. There were a bunch of college kids there, being super loud and annoying. Turns out, like 90-95% of the guests were college kids there for some all-night ragers. They were drinking, yelling, playing music, and even breaking stuff. We complained to the hotel staff, but they said a bunch of people had already checked out because of the noise. We didn't get any sleep for the four nights we were there and we couldn't even enjoy the pools or anything because the students were everywhere. We called security a bunch of times, but they said it was no use because the kids would just start up again a few minutes later. If Travelzoo had told us that this hotel was a popular spot for spring breakers in March, we would have gone somewhere else. A lot of other people who booked through Travelzoo were bummed out for the same reason. I feel like we wasted our money on this trip. It was a total disaster!

Disappointing Experience with Travelzoo: Terrible Customer Service and Lack of Support
Me and my hubby decided to celebrate our 30th anniversary in Ischia, Italy and we booked our trip with Travelzoo. But boy, do I regret not reading the reviews before booking! We thought we were booking with Jetline Holidays out of the UK, as all of our communication was with them. But things didn't go as planned. On our second day, we were supposed to have a boat tour of the island, but it got canceled without any notice. We were so frustrated, as we had cut our sightseeing short just to make it to the port on time. And to be simply told that we weren't going out was just unacceptable.
To make matters worse, I had to take a covid test less than 24 hours before our flight home and I tested positive. My husband had to fly back to the US as planned, but I was stuck in another country with no help from Travelzoo/Jetline. Roger, who had been helping us with our travel arrangements, suddenly became unavailable. And when I spoke to a woman, she told me that it was up to me to get in touch with the airlines, hotel, transfer arrangements, etc. I was so disappointed with their customer service. It was terrible!
I had to make arrangements with the hotel and spent a lot of time on hold making phone calls to make my flight home an open ticket. But my biggest complaint is that working with this company is fine until you have a problem. They disappear and won't help at all! And it's really hard when you're in another country and you don't speak the language. I wasn't able to take the scheduled shuttle/ferry/shuttle to the airport due to covid, but Travelzoo/Jetline refused to reimburse me approximately $77. I was shocked, especially when the hotel and airlines worked with me and they were not whom I had originally booked with. I had paid for the transfer, and they should've been rescheduled at no extra cost just like my flight.
In conclusion, I would not recommend Travelzoo to anyone. Their customer service is terrible, and they don't help you when you have a problem. It's better to book directly with the hotel or airline, as they are more likely to work with you and help you out.

Disappointed with Travelzoo's Recommended UTOVacations: Unfair Treatment & False Advertising
I've been a fan of Travelzoo for a long time, like 15 years. I booked my honeymoon hotels in 2006 and have been hooked ever since! They always have great deals and recommendations, like their Top20 deals. One of these deals caught my eye for a family vacation on June 21. I booked it through UTOVacations, who Travelzoo advertises for.
Unfortunately, my mother was diagnosed with late-stage cancer and I needed to reschedule. I contacted UTOVacations within a week of booking, but they told me there were no available dates. This was frustrating, especially since they were advertising new tour dates at the same time as Travelzoo! (I have screenshots to prove it.) They told me to contact my credit card company if I wasn't happy with the travel date, so I opened a dispute. But then UTOVacations said they would have given me other dates if I hadn't filed a dispute, and that I would lose my security deposit. This was after 2.5 months of following up with them.
I checked the contract terms and saw that I was entitled to a free reschedule. Nowhere did it say that I would lose my security deposit if I filed a dispute. I started looking into UTOVacations and found reviews that said they take you on "mandated shopping trips" (like timeshare presentations) that weren't mentioned in the Travelzoo advertisement. I only booked with UTOVacations because Travelzoo recommended them.
So I called Travelzoo and asked why UTOVacations wouldn't reschedule me. I even said I would travel on the original date. After 6 weeks of following up with Travelzoo, I was told that upper management was still handling my case. Meanwhile, UTOVacations deals were still being advertised in the Top20 every week! There were even times when I heard the Travelzoo customer representative laughing while reviewing my case notes. When I asked what was funny, they said they were just clearing their throat.
Overall, I'm disappointed with UTOVacations and Travelzoo's handling of my situation. It's frustrating to see UTOVacations still being advertised on Travelzoo when they wouldn't even honor their own contract terms. I hope Travelzoo takes this seriously and stops advertising for companies that don't treat their customers fairly.

Quit Advertising Exoticca
Exoticca offers deals that it cannot deliver. Please quit advertising their special deals. If you book these deals, they inevitably cancel the trip so you have a credit and then book at a higher cost. They have done this to me twice. Most recently was the 10 day trip to Kruger and South Africa. First they blamed it on the trip not being filled with enough people. Then, they blamed the cancellation on "operational errors." After I pressed them, they admitted they could not get cheap enough flights. This is a rip off and they canceled with too little time to salvage a summer trip. They also did it with a trip to Morocco. They should not offer trips that they cannot deliver on.
Thank you.
Tanya Zerbonia
Desired outcome: I would like the trip that was promised at the price that was advertised.
This is a long story so I will try to be brief and if you need more details, please let me know.
I booked a trip to Morocco for June, 2021 through Exoticca in July of 2020 after seeing it advertised in Travelzoo Top 20. It was on a date that had the lowest price ($1299) but worked best for our schedule. As the trip approached, the company did not provide airline details and about 10 days before the trip, they cancelled citing Covid as the reason (lots of stuff in Morocco was still closed down, supposedly.) Being a member of many groups about travel on Facebook, I kept seeing people in Morocco on tours, etc so I was suspicious. We rebooked that trip for the same dates in 2022 but of course, now had to pay $400 - $500 more each. That trip did happen in June of 2022. It wasn't exactly what they promised, but we were okay with it overall.
In July of 2022, we came across a deal advertised by Travelzoo for Exoticca and a 10 day trip to South Africa and Kruger. Once again, it was a dream deal and fit my schedule perfectly. It was $1499 plus additional money for excursions. We tried to book immediately but it sold out within an hour. We were bummed. Two days later, they opened up that date again for the same price and we were able to book. We paid the amount owed and waited. 5 days after the last payment was due, they notified us by email that the trip was cancelled because there were not enough people signed up. I highly doubted this as it sold out quickly the first time. I questioned this and then they changed their answer to "operational issues." They couldn't really explain what this meant. Lastly, they sent an email saying they could not get flights for us but that is not true - wha t they meant is that the flights were too expensive for them to make a profit. They had 10 months to book flights. My belief is that they entice people to book these special deal trips and then cancel them - Afterall, they did it to me twice. I am furious and they will not take any action. They need to honor the trips the advertise at the prices that are agreed upon. This is a bait and switch scam. They put your money in an account and allow you to use it to book a future trip... at a much higher price. It is complete crap.
If you need me to send you the emails that I exchanged with them, please let me know.

Accommodation St Agnello, Hotel Unconventional
Booked a holiday to Italy, Sorrento and Rome, advertised on Travelzoo. Reference FNP40193.
When arrived at hotel was allocated a room with a bunk bed, despite itinerary stating a double bedroom was booked. As we are both in our seventies we deemed it unacceptable and asked to be moved.
Hotel refused unless we paid an upgrade of 80 Euros. contacted Travelzoo customer support, who was very helpful, however we had to pay the extra and try to claim it back.
Representative of the company phoned us and apologised, said that he had forwarded it to his supplier to sort out. To date this hasn't happened. This wasn't the only error on this holiday.
I am not happy that we booked a holiday with Travelzoo, which was not as advertised and now have to rely on a supplier of a third party for recompense. We have used Travel zoo before on a number of occasions however we may think twice in future.
Desired outcome: We need our 80 Euros refunded.
