troybilt pro string trimmer
I purchased a troybilt pro 4 cycle string trimmer in March 2018. Took out of the box end of May followed all directions. Fired it up. Ran for about 4 minutes it shut off and started smoking. Would not start again. Lowe's wouldn't take it back had to take to service center on your list in Anniston Al. Been there 5 weeks and still not looked at. Weeds are getting very high and am in need of this trimmer. I have bought many troybilt products but this may very well do me in.
troy-bilt tb685ec weed wacker with electric start
The TB685EC is a piece of garbage, my sister bought this for me at Christmas 2015 so in usage its less the one and a half summers old and I have had nothing but problems with this unit from the start. Let me detail the issues with this product:
1. When I finally got around to using the unit I the spring of 2016 the first thing I ran into was there were numerous missing screws. Well not a issue go to hardware store and buy a pack of screws and install them.
2. Notice the unit was lacking power from the get go, figured that was the way it was suppose to run. Later found out that is not how she is suppose to run and complained about it to no avail.
3. Fuel line busted and I replace the bad ones, but still ran badly.
4. Pull rope keeps pulling out of sprocket and won't retract. I have pulled housing several times and fixed the unit but it keeps doing the same thing every few days.
5. Figured I would use the remote start unit and charged it over night, The unit never did work. I opened up the unit and found the mother board was burned up in a spot so that is useless.
6. Now today the unit will start but wont run but a sec.
Today I am done with your product, I am going to buy a another new weed eater that I shouldn't have to work on and it won't be troy-bilt. I will NOT recommend your product to anybody, it is just poor craftmanship and poor product. and you should be ashamed by your standards.

the self propelled function is no longer operating.
Three months ago, I bought the 21-inch tb280es Troy-Bilt self-propelled lawn mower. Now the self propelled function is not working. The Operators manual was no help. I tried to take the case off, using a YouTube video, but I was unable to locate all of the screws. So now I have wasted 2 hours. I'm having to push the lawnmower around. I paid about $300 for the lawn mower, because it was a Troy-Bilt and because it was self-propelled. That's a lot of money for me. I can tell the cord is still attached to the handle because when I squeeze the variable speed handle, I can see the cord move. But the front wheels are not responding to the cord or to the pulling of the variable speed handle at all. I'm probably facing a $50 dollar to $75 bill at my mechanic shop. Any of your efforts or words of condolences would be appreciated.

I own a grass cutting business and figured my old weed whacker needed a brake and I would just use it around my yard. So I went out and bought this piece of crap weed whacker that worked for about three weeks then quit running won't start. I have cleaned the carb, changed the air/fuel ratio and the idle and changed the oil, but still it won't run. So how about you guys stop making cheap crap that won't work. My other weed whacker is 20 years old and runs like it is brand new. I am very disappointed in this product; I will never buy from you again and I will definitely recommand to not buy this brand to everyone because it is crap.
pressure washer
Used this pressure washer ONE summer season (6 times) and through the the winter once a month. I have replaced the fuel, changed the oil and put fuel stabilizer in it and it WILL NOT RUN. I am a mechanic by trade and have come to the conclusion that Troy-Bilt products are absolutey junk! I have purchased 4 Troy-Bilt products in the last 5 years and have thrown every single one away, and this one is short behind it.

pressure washer
Purchased a Troy-Bilt pressure washer from Lowes on 6/3/18. Followed the directions to assemble the unit and used it earlier today on my back patio. Within a half hour a major leak developed in the pressure hose. Called Lowes and they said nothing they could do. Had to go online to order a new pressure hose at a cost in excess of $50. This is outrageous. The hose should have been replaced for free. Horrible quality control and very poor customer service.

I used promotional code CHATWITHUS to make a phone purchase of a twin bagger attachment (19a70034oem) on 4-13-18. I received a 10% off deal and free shipping under order [protected]. The Troy bolt representative told me the order would go out on the following Monday morning and I would receive a email confirmation. I did not receive a email and called on 4-16-18 at the end of the day. The representative could not confirm a email was sent and had difficulty finding my order. I was then told the order did not go out that day but that I was given a tracking number 1Z4F531Y0362837458. The order was expected to arrive on Thursday but was missing in transit. The package arrived by UPS on Friday. The driver dropped package and did not knock or ring doorbell. My parents were home so they attempted to stop the driver due to the poor condition( torn with large holes) of the box but he drove off. My parents put in a complaint online with UPS and attempted to contact Troybilt but were consistently placed on hold.
I waited on hold for about an hour and until I finally reached a Troybilt rep. on 4-23-18. The first rep. stated she would email me a shipping label to send the package back via UPS. She then stated it would take 3-4 days to get a label, 7-10 additional days to get a credit, and then I could replace my order. I told her that was not acceptable and asked to speak to a supervisor. The supervisor told me the same but offered to let me pay for the order a second time and wait to get my credit. I explained that Troybilt sent me a used and damaged item instead of a new item and I am expected to pay for their error. He said yes. I explained that he was not making any sense. Troybilt quality control should have caught the error before shipping and I was not willing to wait an additional 3 weeks to receive my order. I was also not willing to pay a second time for an item I have not received which screamed fraudulent to me. I told him I would be filing a complaint with the BBB and Troybilt. I asked for a claim number and he gave me [protected].
sn# [protected] troy bilt pressure washer 2800 psi gas
I bought this pressure washer in November of 2014. After that date, it was started with considerable difficulty and used once. Considering it is a pressure washer and only used occasionally, we did not try to re-use again for some time. After several unsuccessful attempts to start the washer I took the washer back to Lowes for trouble shooting or service in August of 2017. They sent it to their small engine service contractor. The instructions on the service order was it will not start. The technician reported that he found contaminated fuel in carb and main jet clogged. Cleaned main jet and unit test to specs. In March of 2018 we again attempted to use the unit. We put fresh gasoline in the unit and followed on how to start the "easy" start, and again it will not start. Returned it to Lowes who were NO help, left it there as it is a piece of junk. Will not buy a Troy-Bilt Easy start anything ever again. Preferably no Troy Bilt anything.
tb 130 lawn mower
I bought this TB130 lawn mower in June, 2015 at Lowe's in Woodbridge, NJ
Works fine, but the entire housing needs to be replaced. (rotted ) I have owned many lawn mower in the past, but none have rotted like this Troy bilt.
This mower is unusable at the moment unless the housing is replaced. I hope you will be kind enough to send me a replacement housing.
Thank you,
Kelly Ali
sn #[protected] worthless pressure washer that you refuse to support
Had I know that you don't support your products I would have never wasted thousands of dollars on Troy-bilt products from String Trimmers to a Garden Tractor. I am appalled that a six month old TROY-BILT pressure washer, used once for ten minutes, will not start six months later after having been properly shut down and prepped for storage. What I am so angry about (to the extent that I am banned from your face book page which will just add fuel to the fire on Social Media) is when I went to the Troy-bilt site for support I was brushed off and sent to Briggs & Stratton. I do not give a damn that they build your pressure washers (I can see why considering the class action law suit against you for crappy pressure washers) it's your name on the machine. If you don't build it or support it then why the Hell is your name on it? Had I done my homework I would have seen that you have the lowest possible rating on Consumer Affairs, and never bought any Troy-bilt product. But like so many other consumers I was duped by your advertising. Not a mistake I will make again, I will never buy another Troy-bilt product, and I will do everything in my power to educated the masses on the piss poor quality and lack of support of and for Troy-bilt products. Be assured that I have only just begun my campaign against Troy-bilt
troy built hyper tough h25b leaf blower
It ran just fine for about 3-5 hours of use, then it slowly (3-4 minutes) stopped running. It was gradual and steady. It just slowed down until it stopped running. It now will not start. Very upset! Where I purchased it (Walmart), had a 90 day return policy. Of course I had no receipt, and I'm pretty sure I've had it at least 4-5 months. The date of manufacture on the unit says 01/ 2017, so it's less than a year old from the time it was made. Not sure what the manufacturer's guarantee is, but it's at least 1 year. Need a new leaf blower, or make an upgrade to a more reliable unit. I'll pay the difference, and send the non-working unit back.
No complants
Where can I buy replacement parts of the hyperter tough h25b blower?
I have a hyper tough blower h25b and i am looking for the replacement carburetor, purchased in 2016 also a parts manual. thank you, bolkowbob58@yahoo.com

poor quality
Approximately 5 years ago, I purchased a Troy-Bilt lawnmower, 830 series, from Lowes. It worked OK for the first couple seasons, although there were a few issues right away. The first thing was the back safety flap at the rear that kept getting stuck up under the deck.
After a couple seasons the lawnmower became hard to start. It would start, but you had to pull the cord about 10 times to get it to. Also, when it first starts, a puff of smoke emits from the exhaust.
Last year it really started screwing up. The transmission for the self-propelled mechanism started making a terrible sound when engaged. No cable adjustment would eliminate it. I knew it was something with the gears inside the transmission. It still moved but sounded really bad. I planned on looking into it the next season since it was late in the season when the noise began.
This year the front axle fell out of the deck right away. I wanted to get the grass cut one time before looking into the transmission. There are 2 plastic split bushings on each side of the front axle that fit up into a hex shaped cut out in the deck. It's part of the mechanism that allows for the single lever adjustment of all 4 wheels. The front axle rotates in these plastic bushings to raise or lower the front wheels. This has to be nearly the most ridiculous engineering I have ever seen. The bushings are split in order to be able to put them on the axle. They are plastic. There is no other way to slide something on the axle because 2 "levers" are welded on each end of the axle. The hex shaped holes that are stamped out in each side of the deck get deformed from the weight and forward/reverse action of using the lawnmower. Basically, the deck of the lawnmower is junk after 5 years of use. A $400 lawnmower lasts 5 years. Not too good of a life for such an expensive lawnmower if you ask me.
I purchased this lawnmower because of the Troy-Bilt reputation. I had no idea that MTD had bought out Troy-Bilt. Had I known that I never would have bought it. Honestly, this lawnmower is a complete piece of crap. The engineering and materials is substandard. I can't speak to Troy-Bilt's quality first hand before they were bought out by MTD, but I'm sure it was much better than after MTD got their grubby, sub-standard mits on them. I have a very small flat yard. Takes me about 15 minutes to mow the entire yard. This lawnmower was not abused in any way.
The "replacement" transmission that MTD came up with (because so many people were having problems with it) is $100! Obviously, after 5 years of use, my lawnmower is no longer under warranty. Many others on the Internet were complaining after one season of use. I think the only reason mine worked for nearly 5 seasons without a major problem is because my yard is so small and the lawnmower didn't get any heavy use. Actually, it got SUPER LIGHT use.
In order to fix my lawnmower, I have to buy a $100 transmission. I, also, have to devise, engineer, fabricate some kind of clever repair for the deck where the front axle mounts in order to put the axle back where it's supposed to be. Or, buy a new deck (ain't happening). Is it worth it? I doubt it.
The lawnmower is junk. I bet all Troy-Bilt/MTD is built just as crappy as this lawnmower. Don't waste your money. Troy-Bilt IS NOT the same company as its past.
useless product
Purchased a Troy-Bilt Lawn Edger Model TBE575 and have used it less than 25 hours. After having to replace two belts, it stopped working altogether and I was informed by the repair shop that it was not worth fixing. Getting Troy-Bilt customer service to respond, by e-mail, phone or letter is fruitless. Troy-Bilt used to make reliable products when they were factory order only. However, since MTD is manufacturing their products the quality, reliability and customer service have tanked. If you are in the market for a lawn edger, do not purchase this product.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.

I purchased a Bronco lawn tractor, joke, at Lowe's two years ago. I was wise enough to purchase the extended protection plan from Lowes. I have had the tractor, joke, replaced completely, in the shop (4) times for the drive train falling apart and the mower deck has continued to work but the tractor will not move. This lawn mower, joke, is the worst product...
