Dollar Tree - store

I have gone into this store every Friday or Saturday for the past four weeks and I will never return unless something is resolved. The store manager is terrible as he only cares about tasks and not customers. The line was going out the door and there were at least six employees in the store, but the focus was on stocking the shelves. Even the store manager was stocking shelves and the only employee who was at the register was an elderly woman. Of course, he put her on the register because she would not be as fast as other employees when it comes to stocking shelves. The store manager was stocking his shelves near the front of the store, saw a huge line going to the front of the store, which is approximately 40 people. YES 40! A customer approach the store manager and asked him to add people to the register, but he did nothing at that time. About a dozen people walked out of the store and the manager still did nothing, which is probably because he cares about the look of the store and not the profit of the store. Ten minutes later I am still in line and finally another employee shows up from her break and decided to take customers. This was a much younger employee and she put her earphones on and called one of her friends and clearly had a personal conversation talking about her dating life and the dating life of her friend while ringing out customers. Even Walmart treats their customers better because at least at Walmart they will have cashiers at the registers without earpieces on. At Dollar Tree the employees simply ignore their customers and treat them as if they wish they would leave. If they cared, then the store manager would open more than one register and would focus on customers first and not on his shellfish tasks. If it were not for customers, then he would not have any shelves to stock…….BTY…….it was the store manager and not another manager because his name badge said STORE MANAGER. And when I asked the elderly lady, she said he was the store manager and not an assistant manager. When I asked her about the register issue, she said he is a very lazy manager and does not care about his customers nor employees. Next time, you should hire a person who was fired from the DMV and Walmart…..they might be better than this inconsiderate idiot. On a final note….I teach retail management as I hold a PhD in business. Therefore, I took pictures and I have uploaded them for my students to see so they know what they should never do. I even took pictures of your customers putting down their products and walking out the store. GREAT PLACE TO WORK AND SHOP!
