After receiving a excessive usage warning from Comcast home internet, ostensibly from overusing Netflix movie downloads, we were advised by customer service to switch to business class service which has no usage limits. Since the switchover we have had nothing but problem after problem. Starting with simply getting a mobile broadband modem we ordered at the same time as the business server, one month out and a litany of excuses later it is supposed to be "on the way". Next we found out that someone in our neighborhood had hijacked our wireless router, and after locking it down attempted to get out DYNAMIC IP address changed, only to get the run around by numerous sales and tech support people who patently didn't know what they or each other were doing. One said it could be done, another said I couldn't someone else escalated it to the next tier of support, who were supposed to, but never called us back. Most recently we were told we could set our modem as a pass through and let our router control everything, in theory, allowing us to change the MAC id so we would get a new IP address from Comcast. During this fiasco, tech support somehow managed to lock up the modem where it would no longer take remote commands from them, and were going to send out a tech support person to our home to fix it today between 2-5. Well after all of this, color my suspicious, so I called at 2 pm to check and make sure support was still on the way, and much to my expectations, the call had been canceled within the system, for reasons unknown to the tech support person we called.
