I rely on sending my work out through click n ship because standing in line at the post office is just as bad. At the present time I have racked up approximately $148.50 in unprinted labels because their website just freezes up. What this amounts to is 9 times I tried to get the postage and it froze up and the 10th time it worked. But they did manage to charge my account every single time! They do give refunds, but I will have to put in for a grand total of 36 different refunds in order to get my money back. I have just tried to print another label and the system has frozen up twice. I'll probably have to put in for refunds on those also. I am checking into using ups. There has to be another carrier in town.

Click n'Ship labels didn't print for me either (maybe because I'm on a Mac?) And I angrily discovered there's a 10-day time limit in which to apply for the refund. The engineers should've set it up so people are notified if it's not printing before it charges your credit card. Stay away from this site, they don't even e-mail you your password if you forget it, you still have to sign-in with your secret hint. Then it locks you out if you try too many times.

Try going into the "Properties" menu in your Adobe Reader (5 or above) and looking fo any internet settings regarding "bring up in browser window" or something to that effect and disable it. I found after successfully using C&S many times, that after I updated to Adobe Reader 8, I couldn't print a C&S label (6 tries and 6 charges for 20 bucks each). After I unchecked the "browser" thing in Adobe Reader, I then printed a test label and everything is fine again. Also, sometimes the Adobe Reader (PDF) window might hide behind the browser window. Minimize everything to make sure it isn't hiding.

I was pretty steamed to begin with but to my shock and amazement, the USPS technical support guy actually had the answer to my problem (he's the one who suggested I check the browser thingy on Adobe Reader)!

I still don't agree or understand why you still get charged when you put the unsuccessful label back in the shopping cart though. The fact that it was returned to cart would indicate to most people that no transaction had taken place. Kinda sneaky not to tell you at the time and bombard you with confirmation e-mails the next day.

I pay all bills online or phone or bill pay for rent everything else. Win both ways no late charges & no lost late misdirected mail. Fed ex & ups cheaper for a pound and more
Put insurance on al usps packages also there tracking is horrible useless :-(
Keep a track of all bills
Never put mail in a blue usps box always get receipt from post office. If you do you are at risk for lost late mail. Never buy another stamp.

I hope you could help with this ok i spent a lot of money on shipping stuff through usps & paypal shipping.

Also in the past i had the post office come to my resident and pick my packages up for me i paid 39.00 dollars plus insurance was on the packages which was useless cause the post office are not scanning packages in i'm right here in maryland it took three days for a package to get to baltimore was not scan until deliver to recipient. This is a major problem of the united states (all post offices) not just local it happens all the time sending and receiving packages no tracking information only information that it
Has been delivered.

Now every package that i have i must get them scan in at the post office a bit inconvenient but i have to do it (cause i will get nothing but the run around a more lame excuses) . Also packages could get lost before getting delivered even if you have insurance on it packages should be scan in to track every move just
Like fed ex ups they are even able to tell you when you will get it.

With usps you will have no idea when you will get your package. Also with ups or fed ex they never leave packages at my apt door. On the other hand usps keeps leaving packages at my door after requesting not to in advance three boxed packages were stolen due to being left at apt door. Had no insurance they knew it from the start gave me nothing but excuses. Said they were going to pay but never did. Requested documents letter & receipt in advance.

On august 9 2007 i refused a package wrote return to sender on it also it had delivery confirmation on it. Until now it's saying that i still have the package.
( i don't) i put in in the blue usps box outside cause there is in front of my apt building. Ok i called the 1800 usps number they said they will located it. (they have not because they did not scan it in) like a day later ms. Moneke (brentwood post office post master) she said she will try to located it asked if i have tracking number said she check her post office.stated she get back to me.

Called her september 5 2007 gave her tracking # she ask for the address stated that it's delivered and that's that. She also gave me the post office in ca number [protected]. Called them and ask them if they recalled a package they
Said they will not be able to tell & they properly got it to the sender but they did not scan it in.

Now i'm scare to put my mail in any usps blue box even a letter i will have to go in and get a receipt for it. Also i'm force to pay all my bills online even rent through bill pay. I will longer even have the post office come to pick up my packages i will inconvenience my self and go to the post office. Always put insurance on all packages cause they will give neighbors your package. You won't see it again

Attention present and past University of Maryland students or anyone who has had a College Park or Berwyn Heights Md. mailing address since 2001.
Beginning 7 years ago, I've received 1000+'s pieces of 1st class mail, DMV notices, end of year financial statements, Jury Duty Summonses, actual credit cards, billing statements , "Final Notice" certified mail notices, mail from university departments that were mailed to University of Maryland students and student organizations at addresses other than mine in College Park, Md that were either forwarded to my winter home in Florida or delivered to my home of 50 years on Norwich Road in College Park, Md 20740
View pictures of students mail delivered to me at http://www.dennisabe.com

In past 3 years, The situation has been under close watch and the following documents will show over 400 pieces of my mail has been misdirected by the College Park Md Post Office. I have had the same address since 1957. This ongoing problem of me not receiving my mail during past 7 years has resulted in me paying many late charges, having my credit rating affected, having my water service at my home turned off, car insurance rate increased and spending 1000+ hours and much expense addressing the problem cause by the failure of the College Park Md Post Office to deliver the my mail correctly and not correcting the constant misdirecting of my mail.Recent examples since speaking via phone with College Park, MD Post Master Danny Bell's assistant Raynell on 1/17/07 are the 22 statements for 7 Bank of America accounts in addition to Sears, Home Depot, utility bills and others that are either missing or returned to sender marked as "undeliverable". or have vanished.

The USPS is a complete joke. Their overpaid and indifferent employees wouldn't cut it for 2 days at a real package delivery company. I have made the transition to move all of my eBay packages from USPS to UPS. In some cases it costs a little more and my customers are upset but hey, too bad, go cry to your congressman. They have lost items that I had sent Priority Post, it was registered as being in transit for the longest time. They claimed it was delivered and I told them it was not. They said they wanted me to provide proof it was delivered. WTF? I paid them to deliver the item and then to provide that very proof to me. Now I'm suppose to prove a negative?

I can ship by UPS across the country (light weight stuff) that won't fit in the USPS super tiny flat rate boxes for almost HALF what the USPS demands) and I get twice the service. UPS picks it up where I work daily for free cause we have a friendly fellow in brown delivering stuff to us daily. He scans in our packages and wow they are actually registered as being in the system. A package isn't moved without being scanned. Insurance is free for the first 100 dollar value. No more BS paying more. I don't have to pay them to tell me they actually did what I asked them to do. They provide delivery confirmations for free. They also can tell you when an item will be delivered. I am amazed the USPS is still in business but I guess we still need someone to bring us our weekly grocery coupons on Wednesdays. Oh right, and also to bring us those NetFlix videos. Other than that, who can trust the USPS. Heck, half the time lately, our postman (letter carrier for you lazy employees but nobody ever writes letters anymore so why call yourself that) doesn't even deliver the grocery flyers we find them sitting in a huge pile beside the garbage can near our mail boxes.

If it wasn't for laws written to screw the public and protect the USPS from prosecution and acts of negligence there would be a lot more job openings for unemployed people.

Click N Ship is by far the worst system I've ever used. It never works. Not worth your time or energy. Back to Fedex or UPS

I too have been more that inconvenienced. Recently my accountant showed a double charge I didn't catch. I contacted the USPS but they will not provide any refunds for transactions for over 60 days. So I'm out the $$$ So much for the savings they claim. Many years ago, a mans word was his bond. Not now with the post office - Rain, Sun, or Snow - you better watch your back. Its not the carriers that are the problem, its the administration.

As of Jan 2012, Click-N-Ship still screws up - why do they even register a trade mark for it. Not even Microsoft can make software so bad for so many years. And for sure, it is clunky and slow to use. Too bad because the idea is great.

I agree that the click-n-ship web program is useless and you should not waste your time trying to use it. It doesn't store shipping history correctly, the design a label feature is awkward and clumsy, and the customer service is terrible. My express delivery didn't get their the next day as it is guaranteed by the USPS. So, I put in a request for a refund, not realizing I was supposed to go to the post office. Well, they didn't say anything to me about it and granted the refund. Then, 6 weeks later, they said I used the label after I requested the refund (I have proof this is incorrect) and they demanded the money back! I wrote 3 emails asking them to reconsider and they refused. So, I paid it and now my local post office says that there is "no proof" that I mailed it on the shipment date and there is no details of the transactions! (I see all of the comments about how they do not scan things before they leave the post office.) They said that they requested the details and come back the next day! Next time, I will pay the extra $$ and go UPS!
