Bought an item today at VV. Didn't see there were two tags on it. Actually did not see even one. Advised cashier I didn't see a tag. She says it's $24.99. I said "really", I bought the same item 10 days ago for $6.99. Since I get the senior discount, I bought it anyway. I take it home and then I see the second tag on it at $7.99. I take a screen shot of it and return to the store. Tell the cashier/supervisor. She says: oh, that's probably from the other one you bought. I said no, do I have to bring it in for you to see it? She says, yes. It's an awkward item so not easy to carry. I bring it in and she says I don't know how that cheaper tag got on there. It's the higher price and said she herself had priced it so she knows. I said that she has to give it to me for the lower price. She says "No, I don't" and shows me an unofficial looking piece of paper that says VV can sell it to me at the price they choose. It has been my experience in other stores if an item is double price tagged, they would honor the lower price. I guess VV does not do the honorable thing. I am a 5 day a week thrift shopper at our three thrift stores. I drop my donations at VV, as I live five blocks from the store but after being treated with such disrespect, I will be a donation to the Mission Thrift store. I am currently gathering items to donate this Thursday. I dealt with Bonnie and she was lacking in customer 1st service skills.
Desired outcome: An apology and a gift card to shop.
