Residential trash pickup
I live on a dead end street near the end. There is no room at the dead end for large trucks to turn around. On several occasions since moving here, the trash truck driver for Waste Mgt. has used my driveway to turn around. When doing so, the truck tires leave dark black tire tracks on the concrete which is difficult to remove. Also, the Garbage trucks are very heavy and if the drivers continue to use my driveway to turn around that can create cracks and crumbling to concrete leading to permanent damage. This happened today on July 22, 2023. I have a security camera recording of todays incident. Unfortunaly, Waste Mgt is not open on Saturday to take a complaint by phone or online. I will call on Monday.
Desired outcome: I would like Waste Mgt to advise their drivers not to use my driveway or other customer driveways to turn around with out explicit written consent. I also want them to have my driveway professionally cleaned(pressure washed).

WM Truck blocking public parking garage exit
I was trying to get out of a public garage when I found a WM truck blocking its only exit. There is a wide driveway between the building at 380 W Washington Ave in Madison WI and the public parking garage behind it, and there's a small loading dock to 360 W Washington on the left side where trucks will often unload. Most trucks know to park at an angle so as to let cars out of the garage--it's fairly intuitive. This truck driver, however, decided to park right in front of the gate despite there being plenty of room for him to park at an angle. When I pulled up to the gate I saw the driver pushing a dumpster into the 360 building. I yelled, "You are blocking the exit to a public parking garage!" I know he heard me because he twitched as I said it, but chose to ignore me and pushed the dumpster inside the building. There were cars lining up behind me as I waited for him. After a few minutes, he finally came out and again I told him he was blocking the exit to a public parking garage. He did not apologize--he just said "thank you" and drove off. This is frequently a problem with WM trucks--this particular one had WDNR #10149 and LC# 58191 on its door. I have photos of the truck.
Desired outcome: I would like an apology and know that this particular truck driver has been spoken to about this, and for WM to ensure that drivers are properly trained on how to approach this particular loading dock, even though it should be intuitive

Overbilling, cancelling service on a year pre paid account
Waste management has to be one of the most unethical companies i have come across. We were late on our yearly renewal for 2023. I contacted the office to pay our year fee of $658.26. This fee covered us from 12/01/2022 to 11/30/2023. From this point we thought we were good for the remainder of of 2023 (at least until December).
Unbeknownst to us, because we were late on the renewal payment we incurred another late fee that totalled $101.50. To break that fee down it is as follows: $55.00 for a resume service (keep in mind we paid a year in advance, and our service was never stoped), $27.00 for a fuel and environmental charge ( Fuel for what? there was no fuel or environment cost to the company?), $2.97 Regulatory cost recovery charge, $16.14 for the late payment charge..
So a $16.14 late fee charge for being late for paying a year in advance all the sudden becomes a $101.50 late charge after their ethically insane attached fee's. We were signed up for paperless billing and again, had paid in advance, so WM was not on our radar. The only reason i knew to call the office was a note left on our can. So i called and paid the ridiculous $101.50 charge just so my prepaid service didnt stop, thinking finally, i have solved the WM problem.
To find out today, 19 Jul 23, that our garbage was not picked up, and our pre paid service was cancelled. I called to inquire to be told that because our previous late fee was late to be paid, we had been billed an additional $83.24. that fee was for: $55.00 for resume service (again, up until today, no service had been stopped), $25.35 for fuel and environmental ( again, not sure what fuel cost the company incurred by taking a phone call), and $2.89 on regulatory recovery charge.
To recap this, the company was paid for a year of service, albeit late. A total of $184.74 of ridiculous late fee's was stacked on a $658.26 yearly service bill. That almost a third of the cost of the service for a year. In addition, stacking unwarranted fuel cost and environment fee's on what's essentially a phone call or internet transaction is totally unethical.
This was a prepaid account that you decided to cancell the service for, even though you had already been paid for it bc bogus, stacked late fees were not paid.
Desired outcome: Get my trash that you were paid for picked up ASAP, and revise / train your accounting office of fee's

Unreasonable bills and unsigned agreements
I bought a house last year and the previous owner left a WM trash can there so I decided to call up WM and start garbage services. On a phone call I was told it was around $80 a quarter and so I agreed and gave card info and started services. The second quarter I was charged twice for some reason so I had to call and get the random second charge canceled, which took 2 separate phone calls. When the bill for the next quarter rolled around it was around $95, so I said nope I'm done, and I called to cancel services before the quarter started. This was done 2 weeks before the current quarter I had already paid for ended. While calling to cancel I informed the WM that I wanted to cancel services and told them that they had never dropped off a can to my house, but that I already had the one I had been using so it wasn't part of any of my contracts with them and I asked if they were going to try to come pick it up anyways and if they would try to charge me. I was told they would come pick it up, but I would not be charged since they didn't drop off the can to begin with. I left the can out for 10 days and they never came so I put it up and then got a bill a month later for $150 saying they tried to pick up my can but it wasn't there. around this time a random $7.50 bill also showed up on my account for some unexplained reason. I called WM and informed them of the situation and how it was explained to me that I would not be charged and that I had left the can out for 10 days and they never came. They told me no worries, put the can back out and leave it out and they would come get it and they would wipe out all the charges on the account. I left it out and they finally came and picked it up, however instead of wiping out the charges on my account they slapped another $109 charge on top of the other charges and sent me a bill for all of it. I called and told WM what happened and they said they would have to send the case to their legal team and I didn't hear from them again for several months. Now I got a letter from a collections agency trying to collect the nearly $300 bill that they tried to slap me with just for canceling services with them. This is totally unreasonable and spiteful behavior and they have no justification for charging me to pick up a can that was never part of our contract. If they had dropped me off a can upon starting services that would be different, but it was my can that I already had and they not only had no right to pick it up, but they had no right to charge me for doing so. I never signed anything that agreed they could take my can nor that I would pay them to do so.
Desired outcome: All I want is for Waste Management to clear the bills that they are trying to collect from me and stop contacting me.

++3 missed or improper recycling pickups
3 weeks ago, I watched a WM driver put recycling in the same hopper as residential waste. I notified the company and since then my recycling has not been picked up even tho their site insists it was picked up yesterday. My container is still at the curb, full. My normal pickup days are Thursday and every time I reported a missed pickup, they said that the recycling would be picked up the next business day.
Desired outcome: proper pickup of paid for services (recycling)

Trash can still not received
Requested a trash can on 6/27. As of today, no trash can has been received. I have contacted customer service and been told it should be there tomorrow, or its 7-10 business days. I'm on day 13 as of today. I have WM at my other location and never had any issues or problems. And that city is a bigger area than where I'm at.
I have also been charged with another bill coming up soon. This is beyond ridiculous.
Desired outcome: Just bring me my trash can please.

Setting up new service
I am absolutely appalled with the amount of time I have been on-hold over the past 2-days JUST TO SET UP SERVICE! I spoke with someone after holding for 20min. and was then transferred to another dept to begin the process all over again. Yesterday I was on-hold for 30min. before hanging up and going to the website, and after entering information was prompted to call the [protected] because additional information was needed. I called the number at 3:00pm PST and the VM said that the business was closed. WHAT IS GOING ON? This is why competition is needed, if I had an option to choose another service provider I would. Your voice message has the audacity to say you value people's time, you clearly do NOT VALUE PEOPLE's time...you waste it! And you lied, saying the expected hold time would be 4min. right now I have been on-hold for 53minutes and counting.
Desired outcome: Fix your phone system. HIRE SOME EMPLOYEES to manage the phone lines. This 98% automation is NOT WORKING.

New Service
Both my Wife and I have called multiple times to set up service at a new construction residence. We've been placed on hold each time after "talking" with virtual prompted assistance. Our hold times have been for nearly an hour each of the 3 times we've tried across multiple days before hanging up. We called on 6/30/23 and twice on 7/6/23.
I even have service currently at the home we are renting and had service previously at a home I owned.
Desired outcome: I need new service ASAP!

Set up of new service at a new house is nearly impossible
I spent TWO days attempting to figure out your "smart assistant" Lisa and concluded she is pretty dumb. I litterally called and spoke with Lisa about 20 times. Each time, she eventually hung up on me! The issue is that the home is NEW construction and the address has never been entered into your database. Thus, when 11Lisa asks for my account number OR my address I am stuck. I cannot Pass Go and am always Go Straight To Jail.
My ultimate solution was to 'guess' that if I pretended to b a contractor working on new construction I might be able to trick Lisa into sending me to a live person.
IT WORKED! The live person tried to forward me to a representative that could help... but they were all busy. I have been on now on hold for about 5 minutes as she attempts to confirm that she was able to get in touch with someone to call me ASAP.
Thanks,
Dave Hanks

Desired outcome: Please send Lisa back to school and give her some education. Your answering system should ALWAYS provide a "live person" option for Customer Service. Otherwise there is simply no Customer Service at all.

Fees after service cancellation
Waste Management's bills states the following on their bill:
"By paying this, you agree to continue service during the specified period and to the terms of service at www.wm.com/OMR with no refund for early cancellation...If services are cancelled after initial acceptance, you will be assessed a cart removal fee of up to $75 plus applicable taxes and chares including fuel surcharge environmental and regulatory cost recovery charge..."
So, I fulfilled my contract and completed my time with them and did not want their service any longer. I cancelled the service, and they stated I had to pay the $75 fee. I stated, but I am not accepting this bill nor am I paying or cancelling early, thus, there would be no charge. They stated that they are going back to the previous billing that I already paid. I stated, but that already ended...and they said, that doesn't matter. I then stated they can't just make up a law as they want it to apply to them. This is very easy to read, and it states: "BY PAYING THIS...FOR EARLY CANCELLATION... IF SERVICES ARE CANCELLED AFTER INITIAL ACCEPTANCE OF SERVICES"...
Desired outcome: I want them to not change me the $75.00 and to get their garbage cans off my property without charging me.

Trash pickup
This company will go to great lengths to prevent picking up your trash. They did not pick up my trash on Monday. I called several times and each time given a different reason on why it was not collected. I was then told it was going to be picked up on Tuesday but they never came. I called again and they told me it would be picked up Wednesday but they never came. I was then told Thursday and again nothing. I was told they would pick it up Friday and yet again nothing. I called at the end of the Friday to be told they are not coming. I have never been lied to so much by a company. It is really unbelievable.

Returning waste container in proper place
For the past 3 weeks and times before, I have had issues with the driver returning my waste container back where he retrieved it from. I have phoned in and reported this just minutes after the driver left each time. In addition, supervision has not reached back out to me, per a representative's request. Attached is a picture of where the can sits for pick up, and a video of where it is returned. I do not really care for a follow-up call. Just relay to the driver, do not place it in the middle of the sidewalk in front of the neighbor's home.
Thank you.

Trash pickup
Worst company ever. I hope they go bankrupt. They keep sending me bills, service was all paid up and ended 6 months ago. Can't get a hold of anyone. Trying to shut off service is like going through a bad divorce. Was on hold for over a half hour, just to be told they sent me to the wrong dispatch. Spend a second half hour waiting to get someone, just to tell them they shouldn't have billed me. And this isn't the first time.
Desired outcome: Just want them to leave me alone

Container return fee
I am willing to return the container myself to avoid the excessive $75 container return fee. I spoke to a representative from Waste Management's corporate customer service department. The representative said a self-return of the container is certainly possible. When speaking to my local Waste Management customer service department, however, everyone I spoke with said I could not return the container myself. This seems exceedingly unfair and scheming.
Desired outcome: I am willing to return the container myself in order to save the excessive $75 fee. Or, I would like the return fee waved if Waste Management is deliberately keeping me from returning the container myself in order to extract the return fee.

billing
waste management is a complete joke. I called about bill and was put on hold for 56 minutes and transferred 4 times. last time I was transferred I tried to cancel my services and they said they would have to transfer me again. you know what I said to them but can't say here. my name is Dannie Campbell and live in Evansville IN. my account # is [protected] with this so called company. I tried to email them with this complaint but don't provide that all they have is their customer service phone #. and I won't go through that again. I tried to cancel on phone # provided and they put me on hold and then said would call me in 5 minutes but took them 15 minutes. never use waste management again.
Desired outcome: respect

Compost trash cans
I am an apartment manager with 8 units. We have to use a dumpster and pay extra for a lock due to people using out trash in the ally way. Putting these compost trash cans out will definitely cause our ally to be dirty and defeats our purpose for a lock. I recently was told I had to have and pay extra for them. This is unacceptable! Especially since you cut back service to once every other week for regular trash service and started charging more. The people of this town are not very happy with waste management and soon will begin to rebel against waste management. I will be removing the compost trash cans from my property and will refuse to use them! I can not afford to pay extra for them.
Desired outcome: Waste Management gives the people the choice to want compost trash cans and increase the service to what it was before.

Trash cans
Three times they took my trash can because of plain being lazy , they pull up the lift dumps the can and the guy just leaves it in the truck and pulls off with it in the back of the truck , I pay for two trash cans and im tired of the hassle about getting a replacement can ! If I call the local company the lady there is rude very rude and never does anything until I call the corporate office which I guess I will have to do again ! They are getting very bad reviews in this area and continue to do ! I want my trash can replacement since I pay for it !
Desired outcome: I want my replacement trash can !
Replace my trash can that the lazy worker took again for the third time !

For 3 years I've asked that our trash dumpster be picked up. Nothing has ever happened
I work for the property management company JLL. I'm in charge of the maintenance on the AT&T site located at 4353 Atlanta St. Powder Springs GA. 30127. For over 3 years I have asked that a garbage dumpster be picked up because our company changed providers. We have Republic now. Around the time we changed garbage providers WM bought Advance Disposal. I've contacted people from your company on and off during this 3 year period. I've offered to pay your company to empty the dumpster and that way your crew that is responsible for removing the dumpster can have an empty container. Nothing ever happens. You don't call me back, I don't have an account number, but you could be making money off the dumpster for over 3 years, but instead you have left it here on my property and nobody will touch it. I'm almost ready to paint it Republic blue and tell them they can have it. After all, it has sat here and you all done care enough to take your property back.
Desired outcome: Pick up and remove your dumpster.

Over paid to have trash can removed
I recently canceled my Waste Management account with a zero balance. 2 months after I canceled I received an email saying I owed $121.10 to avoid cancellation. I couldn’t call them so I had to use the online tool. I was told I was billed up to $75 plus applicable taxes for my trash can removal. But they deliver it for free so since I cancelled services they wanna bill me an outrageous amount for the trash can removal. Even if I was billed the full $75 for the trash can removal, how does the added tax add to $121.10? I live not even 1/4 mile away from waste management. I would have delivered it myself and not had to pay $121.10. Completely outrageous
Desired outcome: Save the paper and don’t sent me the bill

Poor Service
I am so done with WM... over the last month the service is becoming worse , last week they missed my pick up on 05/30 , they rescheduled the pick up for 24 hours no one came by when I called back they promised me some one will come the next day (06/01) I called to confirm I was on schedule for that day , they missed it once again , they came out 06/02. Then today they came out for the normal pick up they did a partial service , left my trash can turned over , with a bag still in it , ands the recycle can also had trash in it . I have been requesting someone from management to give me a call to discuss our future relationship and it's been over a week , and still haven't received a call. I have attached pictures of todays service. My next email id going out to social media along with the pictures if I can not get results.
Desired outcome: please call me to discuss the outcome.
