So I called to cancel my dumpster because they have been raising their rates every three months for the last five years. My contract expired 16 months ago. I just have not got around to canceling. Waste Management [WM] Ethics

I am a fairly new employee a little over 90 days now I got hired to a schedule I agreed to and management has changed my schedule 4 times I am supposed to be working 5 days a week and they forced upon me 4 days one week and 5 days the next, I can’t live on only 4 days of work every other week I tried talking to my manager and he brushes me off. I want the schedule I agreed to when I got hired I wouldn’t have taken this job if I was going to be treated like this.

Desired outcome: I want to work 5 days a week with Saturday every other week and day off during that week thats what I agreed to in my interview when I was hired.

This is the 4th time my two 96 gallon trash bins were placed at the edge of my drive way in less than a year and the driver never picked my trash up but marked my account online as serviced! Waste Management [WM] Cost to cancel service, trash can pick up

I have been a customer since 2017 and when I started the service there wasn't a fee to cancel service and have the can picked up. Now I am being told if I want to cancel my service, they are going to charge me almost $90 just to pick up the can. I have offered to deliver the can to the dump and was told "no". The charge is unjust as I have been a customer for 6 years. I can purchase a rolling garbage can for less than $90. It was a used garbage can when I received it, it was not a new can.

Desired outcome: To cancel my service at the end of September and not pay to have the can picked up. I have paid for service for September.

This complaint was not resolved. I was told to call WM and I have in the past and was told there is no way not to have to pay the removal fee. It is a shame that you have to pay extra (rent) for the can and no matter how long you have their service they charge you $75 to pick it up if you cancel.

Waste Management [WM] Pick up waster at 202 west harvard st. inverness fl 34452

My name is peter viola 202 west hatvard street inverness fl 34452 phone #352.341.3117. Your waste control people keep leaving the cover open after pick up. We get a lot of rain here and each time the dispenser fills with water causing me to dump it out. I'm 84 years of age and handicaped and it's painful and dangerous for me to do this. I have complained 3 times via email and 2 land line phone calls to your citrus county office all to no avail. Please help me or else i will be foced to find another company. Ty. Peter viola.

Waste Management [WM] Non service

They’ve missed my trash pickup several times and I’ve called to complain. This past week they missed it again and I had enough so I canceled my service with them and now they won’t refund the remaining money that’s owed to me. They claim that they just keep that money because they have a no refund policy. I want my money for their lack of performance and reliability… this is by far the worst trash company I’ve ever delt with… I now know why their a multi billion dollar company and that’s because they steal from people… I am very unsatisfied with their services and demand my money back!

Desired outcome: Refund of $22.30It’s not about the money it’s about the principle and providing what they claim to offer…

Waste Management [WM] Recycle container was never emptied

My container was never emptied. I placed it out the day before, along with my mother’s recycle container. I called and waited for 30 minutes, no one answered. I did a chat, and was told it would be done in 24 hours. Never happened. I then went to my WM app, and stated the there was a missed pick up. Was told it would be done in 24 hours. And still, there sits a full recycle receptacle at the end of the driveway. It will sit there for two weeks, regardless of what the HOA says.

Waste Management [WM] Continuing harassment of a garbage service I canceled

Waste Management customer ID per this invoice: [protected]

I cancelled service on this date.

Talked with Holly after I was transferred 3 times.

I was assured that this service was closed.

After the assurance that this account was closed, WM withdrew $297.22 on 4/6/23.

Called WM and talked with Maryann and was told to me that even though the account was cancelled, I had to go into my account and delete the Auto Pay.

On 4/18/23, I deleted my credit card information. Maryann also told me it would take 2 months to get my money back.

To my surprise, on 4/21/23, Waste Management deposited $297.22 in my account.

Called WM again because you sent another invoice. Talked with Arie and was assured again that this account will be closed and no balance due and no future invoices in the mail.

Now today 7/2/23, I get another invoice for service,

Waste Management [WM] Trash pickup

I have ordered a dumpster, small office trash. When they brought the dumpster I advised the driver to move the dumpster to face street instead facing the driveway where lots of cars are often parked. Said ok and did not move it. No problem until they came after hours July 26 and they said they could not pick it up because it was blocked by a car. I called and they said I need to reschedule for an extra $155 fee. I asked them to cancel my service because I was not happy how they handle it from the beginning. They said the could not cancel and I have to write a letter of cancelation. I did write a letter and sent it to address in Texas. Aug 9 they did not pick up my full dumpster, they said drive way is blocked again. Yes it was, that is why I did not want dumpster there from the beginning. I want this dumpster picked up and service canceled. I am not happy with this company. Just taking my money and making excuses not to pick up my trash.

Desired outcome: Pickup dumpster, close account no extra charge, refund any fees since trash was not picked up for a month. Not happy with service.

Waste Management [WM] They won't remove their cans

We canceled our service so it would end with the billing cycle at the end of July. We were told our last pickup would ve July 25th and we should leave our cans out and they would be removed.

No one picked then up on the 25th so I called. They said a different truck got them and would arrive on the 26th.

No one came on the 26th so I called late on the 26th and was told we got moved to the 27th but someone would definitely be out Thurs the 27th. I told them to please make sure as we have an HOA that doesn't tolerate visible trashcans and we had to leave for a weekend trip Thursday's afternoon.

We got home Sunday and they were still there.

I called Monday July 31st and was told in no uncertain terms I should take them in because no one would be out till the end of August.

A few problems. We have new cans for new service and no room to keep them not visible. Also they never contact me so... why at the end of August?

I asked for a supervisor. They apologized and promised someone would be out the next day.

Anyway, it's August 10th. Our cans are still here. I'm afraid our hoa is going to fine us but I have bo way of knowing when someone will be here. I've tried calling back but hold times for supervisors are long and I have to work and one time I got one and they couldn't hear me then disconnected.

So... I'm not sure what to do except apologize constantly to my very patient neighbor.

Desired outcome: Remove the cans and don't charge us because they didn't before the billing cycle was over

Waste Management [WM] Pick up

This is the second time my yard wast containers were taken at pick up. Called customer service both times. Once I got through to a live representative, it was a very unpleasant. The first time it took three weeks the first time get a replacement when I was told it would be delivered the same day I called. This happened four times. Today (aug 4) I spoke to someone telling me I won't get another container until my next scheduled pick up day. I have two acres and pay someone to clean weekly for me, and now I have nowhere to put this? I do pay this service.

Waste Management [WM] Billing

In May 2023 our HOA WM monthly bill included a notice of a rate increase. The notice stated the increase required the HOA's consent and we had the right to terminate the service agreement. The notice stated payment of the bill will serve as consent. May 8, 2023, we responded (within the 30-day period specified in the notice) by certified mail that we did NOT consent to the increase and wished to terminate the service agreement. The June and July statements contained the same rate increase. In additional, there was an additional increase in August. The local WM customer service has not responded to our numerous letters and phone calls. We have not paid the invoices because we not agreed to the increases and WM has not rescinded them or agreed to terminate the agreement. We wish to resolve this so can move forward with another company.

Desired outcome: final corrected bill and agreement termination.

Waste Management [WM] Trash service

I called in complaining about the reocurring $40 fuel service charge on 8/2/2023 @ 9:45 am. I was then transferred to an agent in the save account department where I was talked down to and interrupted repeatedly. They made no offer or effort to retain my business after 7 years of loyalty. Upon request of cancellation I was informed of a $75 container pickup fee. This is not acceptable and they have lost a customer...permanently.

I never agreed to this fee, and this fee was not in place when I signed up for service and received the cart 7 years ago. I would like to waste management to remove the fees that they charged after I cancelled service.

Desired outcome: The cart removal fee of $75 was not in place when I signed up for the service 7 years ago. I never agreed to this. Please allow me to leave as an unsatisifed customer w/o charging me a fee that I never agreed to.

Waste Management [WM] Trash pickup times

I believe that your customer service is non-existent and that you are oblivious to complaint. The noise levels of your pickups are threatening to People's health quality of Life and you have ignored even the police and their efforts to try to mitigate this. I have had the Cobb county noise abatement department try to fix the problem and they have been unable to reach anybody with any gravitas to actually finally fix the problem my senior citizen apartment complex is adjacent to three of your pickups on Chastain meadow road in Marietta Georgia. They come in the middle of the night beeping picking up trash and waking up many of us who are not in a physical position to have that happen with regularity. We have called with virtually no success over time. Shame on you and I know you don't care.

Desired outcome: Change your pickup times from the middle of the night to after 7:00 a.m. . None of us understand why that is not doable excuse after excuse after excuse for years.

Waste Management [WM] Company policies

After 44plus years of owning an automotive repair business we closed our doors on 5/31/2023. We used Waste Management the entire time. We called Waste Management on June 2, 2023 and canceled our account. I was told by the agent that they would still be collecting that week because it was already on the schedule. I was also told that they would continue to charge us until we vacated the premises. I explained that we hired a company across the street that was a lot less expensive and that they would be delivering a large receptacle to handle our garbage and that they would be disposing it. We had until 6/30/2023 to liquidate and remove all of our property. We successfully removed all property and vacated by June 23, 2023. I received a bill for $633.93 from Waste Management for the month of June even though they did not perform any services for us. I was told to send an email to an address explaining the situation. I did so on July 24, 2023. I wrote a detailed letter explaining why we should not be billed and attached the two receipts we had for disposal with the other company. The only response I received was to tell me to call the main commercial phone number and try to resolve the situation. So, I called the number again and was transferred to the cancelation department. I spoke with Alexus and again explained our situation. Her response was that the operations department did not accept our cancelation. That's it! When I questioned this she said that she and I should not even be having a conversation about it. So, I was sent in circles and they refused to discuss anything further. The company is unwilling to address my situation so that is why I am submitting this complaint.

Desired outcome: Cancel our account and remove the charges for services that were never done.

Waste Management [WM] None sense cart removal fee

I cancelled my service with Waste Management before new service period started. I got a bill that saying I owed a $75.00 cart removal fee. I never agreed to this fee, and this fee was not in place when I signed up for service and received the cart. I would never have agreed to receive a cart from waste management if their was a removal fee for returning the cart. They cannot charge me for a service that I never agreed to.
