My family and i have also been taken for a ride by waypoint homes so badly infact that i am gathering information from other victims to give to my attorney in order to file a class action lawsuit against them if it were up to me the ceo fred tuomi will have nothing left. They are liars and worse than slumlords. Punish them and make them live in their own homes.

We just moved out and done everything right. They are charging me for rent already paid, and for damages that was that way when I moved in. Taking my entire security deposit plus wanting more money. The entire year living in this home and dealing with waypoint homes was HELL!
We are having major problems with our home in Palm beach county infested with termites and roaches. I want out. It has made both my kids sick as they are allergic to roaches and my anxiety through the roof . They have cancelled # service calls have huge holes in walls etc my daughter is pregnant and high risk and so far nothing has been done. I asked them for copy overall thru they have on their computer not everything was marked they promised to add it and have not as I have not seen a revised copy. Alarm is faulting they say is my responsibility when it was wired wrong to begin with. I don't have grass I have weeds and sand they say my house needs to be tented and I need to remove my whole family dogs fish tanks food. It's horrible. was never told there is a admin fee of 8.00 attached to every water bill never recieved gate clickers was told after oh there an extra 50 dollars
I just got a rental in Palmdale Ca and my property manager never provided us with clickers to get in the property even though I payed for a lease in advance already. Its a gated community at first we got in with a code. Then it stopped working, I Notified manager and four weeks later nothing. I hate this company they are useless.
I only been a resident for a few months and my basement was flooded, they assured me before moving in that the finished basement would NEVER flood and that I only need renters insurance in case of fire or break in and etc. I am a fulltime college student that is pregnant and all of my baby things and my books for school amongst other things was damaged due to the flooding. They refuse to replace my items that was damaged and told me that's why they tell us to get renters insurance, well I have renters insurance and they don't cover floods, none of them do. I need help as I have called other places like fema and red cross but they cant help unless your state has been declared a disaster state.

I have lived in their property for almost 7 yrs, , , never been late on rent and this month I asked for a 9 day grace period to pay rent in full...1445.00 today and the remainding 200.00 on the 14th. they would not. In fact, they told me I would be receiving a 3 day notice to pay or quit ! Are you serious ? You would rather have a property sit empty than wait a lousy 9 days ? There is another of their properties just four doors down from me that has been re-rented 4 times in 4 yrs ! Plus, I rented with a washer dryer. It became useless because of mice/rat infestation, , , , they chewed right through the wiring. They could not fix or had no desire to do so, but would not adjust the rent to reflect not having the appliance any longer. I'm done. I am in the process of contacting the bbb and was going to ask my att to start class action, , , but if you are still in the process of doing so I would rather strengthen your case than to start another. We signed into a year lease with this home because we love the neighborhood (athletic club community with an elementary school and lots of families) and it was a cookie cutter brand new home built in 2015. Since we've moved in this home has become a disaster. We have had maintenance here almost every couple of weeks for repairs. Some of our locks weren't locking, our fireplace wasn't working, our dishwasher stopped working, and the worst of it all our AC has broken 3 times and now, the final straw: the ceiling is leaking from the AC pooling water in the attic. Maintenance has scheduled and rescheduled appointments with us without notifying us, so we have wasted hours in a day waiting for them only to call and find out they weren't coming anymore that day. This is extremely irresponsible and disrespectful - My fiance works for the Federal Government and I work for the State so we cannot continue to take time off to wait for a maintenance tech that isn't showing. I have contacted the property manager directly and she was kind and got some of the issues resolved in a timely manner; but now we are dealing with a leaking ceiling and a technician that showed up 4 hours late. When we called in to complain the lady who answered the phone at maintenance told us to shut off our AC until they arrive.. Mind you it's late July and 99 degrees outside. The technician also informed us that we have to wait a week for a pump to fix this issue because the house was built and AC was installed without it; when it should have been installed because there is no where for the water to go. This home was not inspected properly and there has been nothing but inconvenience between this home and WayPoint company. I will not rent from this company again; in fact we overpay for the house we rent currently especially with all of these issues that have been happening and are seeking legal action for the lack of inspection on this home.
I have been a tenant in Los Angeles for 1 and 1/2 years. I am being evicted because I paid my rent late and used a CAH form of theirs and part payment in check made out to them from my chruch instead of a cashier check or money order. I was told that they had already sent a processor to give me a 3 day notice. I explained that I had already sent the payment. I heard nothing else from them until I tried to find out why they didn't accept my payment and a few hours later I was served with an unlawful detainer. Thought there was no court stamps to show that it had been filed and the forms that are court stamps on them are from two years ago before i moved in. So they would rather try to evict me then to just cash the payment. But they didnt return the check I sent either. I am going to take the to court and see what happens.

I have another complaint for Waypoint Home rentals. The $45 each tennant pays for a credit report to be ran seems to be bogus. I received a 40 page contract and upon reading it and discovering all the rental expenses and fees that were not disclosed upfront in their ad, it made me uneasy. I requested from Waypoint a copy of my credit report we paid $90 for. I was told no I could not have it. In the application they had me send them my bank account statements and my retirement statements. I asked for a refund and notified them I would dispute the charges. When I called my card company to dispute the charges, imagine my amazement when they told me there was a $90 charge to a Waypoint Computer Software Store. Nothing at all about a Home Rental Company. As the moment the best I can say is 'shady". I guess we will see if I get a refund and what they do with my financial information.
I am currently a tenant and they are doing my family and I more than wrong. Well it is their leasing agent who isn't doing her job and I got multiple Government Agencies that have been working with me and know all about the situation. I will be filing a lawsuit against them as well.
Hi my family and I have been renting a home from waypoint homes for almost 2 years now. My kids are sick all the time with upper respiratory infections, sinus infections, etc... We finally realized why. This house is infested with Black mold and they have been notified and still refuse to do anything about it. We have had numerous active leaks we reported that have gone months without being repaired. We have at least 4 active leaks in the house as of today. We even gave them a 7 day notice to withhold rent until they were fixed. That was months ago. I had to pay a licensed mold assessor almost $400 today to come out and take air quality tests and a couple swap samples. Well have the results tomorrow. We have plenty of pics, emails, doctors visits, etc... we just really need an attorney to help us fight this horrible company
