You have the most ridiculously absurd policy I have ever encountered at a grocery story, or any store for that matter, relative to sales of alcoholic beverages. My wife and I, who are both in our 60s, witnessed an 80-plus-year-old woman get carded last week. She was purchasing a single bottle of wine, along with $135 worth of groceries. We watched as she fumbled through her cards trying to find her identification. The question is, for what logical reason would you card someone whose 21st birthday was quite obviously a good 60 years in the past... I don't expect an answer to that question because there is NO logical reason to card anyone when there is absolutely no doubt they are much, MUCH older than 21. We too were carded... Somebody might guess my wife and I to be in our mid to late 50s, but no one old enough to sell alcoholic beverages is going to guess us to be younger than 50. First and foremost, your policy inconveniences customers for NO GOOD REASON. It is time not at all well spent, which is definitely not a good model for any business. Carding people who are obviously much older than the legal age to buy alcoholic beverages serves only one purpose: it unites us older folks in the realization that Wegmans is willing to piss off and inconvenience its customers for the sake of a harebrained policy. Try making an effort to be reasonable, like only carding people who look to be under 40, or even 35. The chance of someone looking 20 at age 40 is slim to none. The chance of someone looking 50 to 80 plus and being 20 is zero. Please, step up your game and stop this absurdity. The elderly woman in front of us wasn't happy and nor were we... Is that your goal?
employees parking in wegman's brooklyn ny location parking lot for customers
I visited your new Brooklyn store and was very pleased with the selection and quality of your products as usual. However, I was at the store at approximately 6:45 am this morning (before opening time) and observed a few employees parking in the rather small parking lot close to the store entrance. One employee vehicle was parked in a spot next to the...

I have been told that wegmans really takes pride in being a good neighbor to its surrounding residents... I have complained several times about the blowing of snow into a retention pond at night... Now it hasnt snowed in 4 days yet your crew is basically in my backyard blowing snow into a retention pond at 8 at night... Its very loud my wife works night...

I purchased this ham on Christmas Eve for dinner with my family on Christmas Day. This was the most horrible ham; I was embarassed that I had served this! It was fatty and tough and not lean; a lot of redder meat which was gross and a ton of fat. I paid $28.10 for this ham and I am on a limited income so when I decided on a ham this big I felt that there would be leftovers. I don't even want what is leftover.
Can you please reimburse me for this ham? I have always put Wegman's meat above the rest but unfortunately this one did not meet your high standards.

chicken from the produce area
I've brought chicken from the woodmore town center in largo MD. I have brought the chicken from the produce section in the past and never had issues. But my issue is the chicken white or dark meat is very tough after you cook it. Never had a problem. What ever hormones you guys are putting in the chicken is messing up the Wegmans brand. I'm throwing away all of the meats from the store after that experience.

On Friday, November 22, I purchased a sashimi (sushi) meal from your prepared food department. I also purchased a Container of sushi rice. My boyfriend purchased cooked food. We ate the food upon arriving home ten minutes later and within 6 hours I had stabbing stomach pains followed by vomiting and bloody diarrhea. This continued several times during the...

On 11/19/19 I was eating lunch in Wegmans Cafe and a Loomis employee came in wearing his vest holding a bag and a soda cup. He went over to the soda machine and with 1 hand held the cup and in the other hand held his sandwich and pushed the button for the soda. His weapon was on his right hip and clearly visible. I talked to several staff at Wegmans about...

Chicken avocado bacon sandwich was made with the fried skin on the chicken. Totally gross. I bit into it and thought it was paper. I opened up the sandwich and pulled the skin off to make it edible. I asked the 3 people at the grill counter if that is normally how they made it. They all said yes. I told them how gross it was. In unison they say "I'm sorry".
Oh yeah, well, that helps. Never again.
meat
I bought few pork ribs at the cherry hill nj wegmans that I had to returned because it smelled like rotten eggs when I open the package. The same thing happened today when I opened organic beef chunk. I'm really disappointed at the meat quality at that store. I really like that store but I will need to unfortunately start shopping somewhere else because of...

Bought a container for the first time with the Wegman's label and I am absolutely sure that the cream portion is less than 1/2 as it should be. After putting it in my coffee, I had to put much more than usual to lighten the coffee. So I tasted it for creaminess and flavor and came up way short of both, the creaminess and the flavor. I think you should call it 1/4 and 3/4. Until you replace it with the 1/2 and 1/2 I am used to drinking, I will be looking for another place to purchase my 1/2 and 1/2 for my coffee.
lottery machines
why would you move the lottery machines all the way down by register 1 when most people walk by them and buy on impulse. there is no impulse if you make people work for it. the catering was just fine where it was. I think it is silly to put it where you have it.
also, while I'm on a roll, are you trying to be act like subway in the sub department? why does it take 3 people to make my medium sub. one person gets my bread and mayo and then passes it to the person standing next to them for veggies, then passes it to the meat and cheese person, then packages it up. WOW what a waste of man power. all while the sub line was 6 people deep. I just don't get where are the managers and who is watching the house!
self check out
I would like to express my utter anger at you placing self-checkout registers inside the Bridgewater store. I am not for them, never will be. You are taking jobs away from people including teens who I see regularly working for this company. I also see some older women and men at the registers. I go to your store for the products and because the register...

After no less than 5 attempts I have been trying to get Wegmans's pharmacy to call me when my script is ready. However, it's been absolutely impossible for that to happen. I'm starting to think that it's done purposely. All my information is on file and is correct and has always been . I cannot see why this problem is still occurring. My scripts have been...
Read full review of Wegmans Food Marketslow stock/no stockchase in formula wegmans brand whole wheat bread
This has to be one of the busiest stores in Greece. Throughout the past year, it seems like there are items that are constantly low or out of stock. For example, in the creamer section there is a Silk Brand Hazelnut creamer which has been out for weeks now. The vanilla flavor Quart for Silk Brand has also been out of stock for over a week. In the Bread Section, Wegmans put out on display roughtly a month ago a Gluten Free Mulitgrain Artisan Sandwich Bread by LaBrea Bakery. It must have been a best seller because all of them were sold. Today I grabbed the last one of the white bread today. There has not been any restock. There was an Annie's Brand GF mac and cheese product small box that must be either discontinued or out of stock and it has not been stocked for weeks...will see if it is available somewhere else.
Lastly, Wegmans apparently has decided to use the Strohman Bakery facility to now manufacture their Wegman's 100% Whole Wheat Bread. With that change, the formula of the bread has now changed to add monoglycerides which are NOT healthy. Why does the formula have to change? Certain members of our family have food/dietary restrictions and have been able to eat this bread without issue. Now we have to look for an alternate source that doesn't have all the extra preservatives, etc. It's seems that the bottom line for Wegmans is profit rather than being nutritionally sound and giving all their customers a wide range of options. Instead, limiting these options and choices will force customers to go elsewhere. Disastified customer.
asking for id to buy alcohol
I' m a 50 years old man.. Last night in that store buy a 6 pack of beer and at the register inmediately was ask to show my id.. I use to be assistant store manager in the competition harris teeter and the policy was any person under 35 must show an id, what is your policy about it, because 3 days before this happen I ate at the restaurant and drinking a glass of wine and nobodu ask me for it and was offer a second glass could be for my color of skin and born in a different country was discriminated at this store?
staff
I have been a long time customer since my working days in Rochester, NY in nineties.
Now as retired person living in NJ, I find your employees need training like in Whole Foods how to talk to customers. Most of your young employees particularly "BLACKS" are way too loud when talking to show up upstairs to eat during their break. For instance talking and face time on their cell phones. There is no place in our Country for such loud mouths. With my European background, I find Americans in particular the younger guys and in particular Blacks are far too loud and are disliked in all over EU particularly in London.
prepared pizza
On Thursday 7/25/19 at approximately 7:30pm, I stopped into the Lyell ave. store to purchase a few items. One of those items was a prepared pizza. I would say that I typically eat the prepared pizzas approximately 2 nights a month. I noticed that all of the pizzas in the display appeared darker than usual and the toppings appeared to be dried out. I ended...

I spent $ 160.60 today on groceries. A bottle of hydrogen peroxide leaked all over my bags, getting produce, bakery, and many other items wet. Additionally the ammonia I purchased also leaked all over the ground, because luckily it was on the bottom of my cart. I had no time to return to customer service, and had to proceed home with my damaged parcels. I...
