This company put in a new furnace in December
This company put in a new furnace in December . The house was empty and up for sale at the time. The seller promised a new furnace because the old one stopped working. I had another company check and service the furnace and A/C unit this summer. They found serious problems with the furnace, like dangerous levels of carbon monoxide leaking into our basement due to the wrong installation. We had to turn off the heat completely because it was a health risk for my family. They said the exhaust pipe from the furnace to the outside was installed wrong, causing fumes to build up in the unit. The service company said I should contact the original installers because they did it wrong and damaged the heat exchanger, which needed to be replaced. So, we contacted the install company and showed them the invoices for the repairs and pictures as "proof" because the owner said I was given wrong information. My husband and I have been professional and calm about this, asking the company to take responsibility for their mistake and help with the repair costs. The company has been slow and unprofessional in their response, and they haven't taken responsibility for their mistake. We've given them many chances to talk to us and find a solution, but they haven't offered any resolution.
