We have purchased a mattress from www.worldstores.co.uk and received it in a timely manner.
I noticed that there was something wrong with the mattress and after a closer look I found out that it was incorrect! They sent us incorrect size mattress and it was also way cheaper that the one we ordered. My husband contacted WorldStores and explained the situation. They asked us to show them pictures of the mattress. We took some photos and sent those to WorldStores. Two days later they replied that we received what we paid for! Beyond ridiculous! We argued with them a lot but it took us nowhere - they did not refund our money. Stay away from this site!
Doors
Doors and door furniture ordered 20/10/16. Delivery promised for 25/10/16. Card payment of £359.92 cleared 24/10/16. Confirmation received for delivery 24/10/16.
Joiner booked and retainer paid for 26/10/16.
26/10/16 door furniture arrives in two separate deliveries. No doors. Phoned to say no doors with the delivery and was informed they will arrive Thursday, had to cancel joiner and forgo retainer. Email confirmation of door delivery Friday email confirming not to take Thursday off work as the doors will be another couple of weeks.
Phoned several times and emailed. Asked to speak with a manager and was told it wasn't possible.
01/11/16 gave up and emailed to request a refund. Was told 3 to 5 days but the compensation would not be granted as I didn't wait for the doors. 09/11/16 emailed again to say no refund received where is the money, what is happening. Received an emailed response stating that the refund could be issued, but no compensation would be given as is not company policy and I'd not waited for the doors. I replied for them to just refund my money.
Phone this morning and asked to speak to either a floor manager, or a member of the management to which I was informed that was not possible.
Told him to take down my work number and for a member of the management to call me back today before 5. He said he'd register the compliant and the phone number, but could make no promises. Said he'd Action the refund which would take 3 to 5 days. I asked had the refund not already been actioned on the 1st, or again the 9th? He said not. I told him I'll be applying to my bank to claim the money back.
I've registered a complaint with my bank and applied for a refund.
Faulty mattress
Don't go anywhere near Worldstores - unless you want to worst customer service experience of your life - they are appalling in every way.
I purchased an Ortho foam mattress in December '16 which collapsed within 6 months although the person sleeping on it weighs 65kg. I asked for a refund and then the fun began... four months... 60+ emails... lots of pictures being sent by me ...and endless delays by them and 3 times just dropping my case.
Eventually, they promised a refund... naturally it was late arriving and then - guess what - it was £45 short.
It's clear to me that their strategy is to delay responding to a complaint for as long as possible and put numerous blockages in the way in the hopes that the customer will just give up and go away.
It's an utterly disgusting company.

False promises and no stock
I ordered and paid for on 6/10/16 an in stock, with advertised delivery date for 11/10/6, a coffee table which had no tracking info until the delivery date, that stated it was awaiting shipping, so I waited all day for nothing. I tried calling and got you are number 13 in the queue for the complaints department, that said enough to me. I sent them an email asking what was going in, to be told the supplier had a technical error? saying that they had no delivery date. I was furious as I had ordered it specifically for the following weekend party on the basis of the promised delivery, they never called me and knew they didn't have it available, they have no warehouse of their own. They said the would offer a refund and I replied that I expect back the same day, I am not a licensed money lender and would be breaking the law, they even had the cheek to close the complaint as solved, not without the repayment it wasn't!. They responded with it would be made within 24-48 hours of their refunds department sending an email, they never did and I needed that cash to purchase it elsewhere, at a much higher price. As a result I raised a chargeback, 2 days later, with my card as paypal had an automatic delay before I could escalate to them which I subsequently did as well. I ended up getting the table elsewhere and they did manage, brilliantly, to deliver it before the weekend. In the end the money finally reached paypal going into my bank 8 days after the failed delivery. I failed to check them out first, I normally do, and found a litany of complaints against them for various failures, they appeared to stop when they received £25m from Goldman Sachs, obviously used up as they reverted back to normal within 2 months. They even had the cheek to send a request for a review of customer service, what a joke, I did not fill it out. If they hadn't moved I would have go down the road to their office or the director that lives in Twickenham, I did tell them I would have called in if I had been in Wimbledon, where they are now located.
In the end they lost me, my neighbour and yet another bad review to add to the large list. They don't even rate 1 star.

Chest of drawers
Failure to deal with complaint. Having ordered at 9.29am on Thursday I eagerly anticipated my new chest of drawers on Friday. It didn't arrive. Ok I thought, it's the weekend now so it possibly won't arrive until Monday. Annoyingly the link from the email for tracking the order didn't work. So I waited in again on Monday. Surely it would arrive then. But no, still didn't arrive Monday. So again waited in on Tuesday very aware that if I wasn't home when they tried to deliver I would be CHARGED for a RE-delivery. Surely this wasn't normal service. I tried to contact them. No phone numbers anywhere. So I submitted an email via their website. An automatic response told me they are busy and would reply within 72 hours. Really? Should I wait in another 3 days in the hope it arrives. What if there is an issue with my order I thought. I asked for more information and chased for 2 days. With no luck I tried to raise the issue with the member of staff but was told it would end up with the same person anyway.
No product received
Is there anyone at Worldstores I can speak to? No delivery on the date as promised, no email communication and after being 15th in the queue on hold, eventually I got through, and was told to hold the line by an operator and guess what, was back to being 8th in the queue. The on-line tracking info has been saying the same thing for the last four days, waiting for despatch.
I filled in a customer services request but still no response. One of the worst companies I have ever dealt with.

Extremely poor customer service, false information and no product delivered after being order four months ago
I ordered a bed from Worldstores on the 6th May 2016. I was aware that there was a lead time of 10 - 14 weeks so I expected it to be delivered by the 12th August at the latest. I was informed via email on the 6th July that there would be a possible delay and I was given a 10% refund as compensation. I was happy with the service up until this point and did not regard the delay as a huge inconvenience. However, I then received a text message on the 15th August informing me that my bed was due for delivery on the 18th August. I knew to expect the bed any time between 08:00 and 18:00 (as per the Worldstores website), but because I had not been contacted by 17:00 I decided to call for an update. According to the customer service representative my bed was due for delivery on the 20th and not the 18th August, a day I had to rearrange for the 22nd August due to nobody being home. I had again not been contacted by 17:00 on the 22nd and when I called for an update and I was assured that the bed was still out for delivery and I should expect it that evening. I dismantled my old bed in preparation only for no bed to turn up and having to sleep on a mattress on the floor as a result. I called Worldstores the next morning to be told that the bed was out of stock but I should expect the bed later that week due to additional stock being delivered. I complained at this point but no compensation was offered, due to the "risk that I could cancel the order after receiving a gesture of goodwill". I was going on holiday and so rearranged the delivery for the 5th September, only to be informed on the 2nd September that Worldstores were no longer working with the bed supplier and a full refund would be issued. I was offered a 10% discount off my next order, which is not something I will benefit from as I will never use this company again. I was given false information on numerous occasions and am disgusted by the level of service (or lack of) that I have encountered. I have no compensation to show for my inconvenience as the 'full' refund that was issued was minus the 10% refund I had been given for my earlier inconvenience.
Terrible service
These guys are terrible, they really don't care about their customers!
I have ordered a shed for my father and several days ago he finally received it. ShedsWorld customer service rep promised they'll help my father with it. But in reality the delivery guy just dropped it near the gate and run.
My father is a 70 year old man who was not able to carry it into his backyard without any help!
I took a day of and went to my father's house to help him.
Multiple deliveries not made, lies and deceit
The delivery did not arrive on Saturday (again)despite receiving notification on Friday at 17.10 it had been despatched. I was promised delivery on Saturday and told a call would be made 1 hr before delivery. Not only did the delivery not arrive but Worldstores did not even have the common decency to call to say there was problem.
My anger now is because Worldstores clearly operates based on dishonesty, lies and deceit. The website clearly states / indicates you have the product in stock, in your warehouse and they are available for next day delivery. This is a lie. I believe your website is operating under false representation and deceiving customers based on false promises.
My parents have now both stayed at home for 2 Saturdays ready to receive the promised delivery which did not arrive

I can't say anything good about WorldStores and I had a really stressful experience with these guys.
First of all I decided to order from this website because they claimed they had a next day delivery which seemed like a great deal. My order did not arrive and I contacted these guys to ask what was going on and they tried to assure me that my order was on its way. Nothing arrived.
They lied all the time and told that I need to be more patient.
About three weeks later they finally told me that my order was not in stock, and the worst thing was that it was not available even when I made my order! These three weeks I just wasted my time and these clowns made fun of me.
Demanded my money back and they said sure, but of course that was another lie.
My advice is to stay as far as you can from WorldStores and don't even think about ordering anything from them.
Did not receive order
Placed an order with ShedsWorld and they promised the next day delivery, but my order did not show up. Waited patiently for several days and decided to ask them about my order but they did not reply.
They took my money and scammed me! Too bad I did not read the reviews, I was shocked when I found out how many people were scammed by ShedsWorld! Save your money and shop elsewhere.
Sofa not being delivered and multitude of failed promises and lies
I have never had an experience with any company as bad as this company, how they stay in business is beyond my comprehension.
Failed deliveries, broken promises, no updates, no resetting of expectations, no proactive contact, no escalation process.
All this is then compounded by agents how can hide behind process and policies to absolve themselves and business of any accountability. If you promise something to be delivered on a date and then advise that should not have been promised but no updates as to when you can expect (literally no one knows) then confirm a new delivery date and repeat the whole process you have to form the opinion nothing they can or will ever say can ever be trusted.
I really wish I had seen these reviews before I ordered, I only went off the "Feefo" feedback displayed proudly on their website which is quite clearly not representative of customer experience.
Please, please read all the reviews before you deal with this company as my opinion is not the only negative viewpoint on here so this must tell you something...don't buy from them unless you want to be disappointed and wasted weeks of your time.
Bed & Mattress
I bought a bed and mattress on the World Stores website, deliberately picking products that were in stock and could be delivered in 2-3 working days. I thought it was strange that I didn’t get a confirmation email but didn’t think too much into it. Two days later I still heard nothing from World stores and no money had left my account. I called the company and they could not give me any information about my order because their systems were down. The customer rep told me that if no money had been taken, then the order didn’t go through. I decided to look for another bed and mattress from a different website. The following morning World stores took the money out of my account and text me to inform me that my bed wouldn’t be delivered in the 2-3 day time line; instead it would be delivered over a month later. I called World bed stores again and cancelled my order. I was told company policy meant it would take 7-14 days to get my money refunded. All in all, pretty pointless shopping experience. Spent time and money calling them and now they have over £200 of my money for nothing, and are keeping it in their bank account for two weeks. Negative experience. There a plenty of web sites shops out there – just go to another one. Don’t take the risk.
Not Delivered and they don't care.
I am 37 weeks pregnant. I ordered a new mattress from these and it was arranged for delivery today 01-03-2016. we were told between 7am and 8pm. This morning we got up at 6.30 and stripped the bed and had the old mattress removed, ready for the new one to go straight on the bed, this was because we were told it would need time to rise as its memory foam and quite squashed when it arrives. 9.05am call from driver stating 20 mins away. he arrived, and said...''its not on the van, its ticked on the list but it isn't on the van. customer service will contact you'' with that gone.
I rang customer service - left in a queue for 40 minutes and then cut off. I emailed them to explain I need a mattress I'm 37 weeks pregnant and ours is gone. The reply - sorry for inconvenience I'm waiting for the courier to confirm delivery date. I explain I need it today as arranged and reiterated 37 weeks pregnant. Email back - wont be today (literally said won't be today) he then sent another email saying FRIDAY - basically sleep on the floor for 3 nights in your condition. This is completely unacceptable and disgusting. Worldstores are the worst company you could ever use, to leave a heavily pregnant woman sleeping on the floor because they cant be bothered shows exactly what type of company they are. Totally Disgusting and shouldn't be able to trade! Why cant they arrange a courier to deliver the mattress today, its clearly with a courier, to then tell me it will be Friday is completely unacceptable.
Mattress
i purchased a mattress on line from world stores on the 29th dec 2015 they took payment more or less straight away. i have had to regularly chase this. to then be told by customer services that the product has sold out and they are waiting on a new delivery. i then chased again for a delivery date once the produce was in and was given a date of the 22nd jan 2016( pls note nearly a month later after taking my money) to then have item delivered damaged. i then refused to take the item as damaged and got back in touch with customer services. every time i call them i am waiting on the phone for over 20 mins. i then finally get hold of someone they promised me a call with a delivery date for a new one on sat 23rd jan2016 or monday the 25th jan 2016 still no reply back . so i phoned again today the 26thjan2016. and asked what was going on, i said to the person on customer service to contact the delivery team whilst i was on the phone because it had taken me so long to get through, he kept me on hold for 10 mins then said i should get a call within half hour to arrange a delivery time. still heard nothing back, tried to call them twice and number keep becoming unavailable. i had enough of them telling one excuse after the other. now i just want my money refunded back until they can give me a delivery date and would like compensation for poor customer services and damaged items and everything else along with it.
Late delivery, not prior warning not possible to make contact with the company
Made the order on the 7/11/2105 for a day bed and two mattresses so that our nieces can come and stay. 6-8Weeks we had received one mattress having waited in all day from work. The remaining mattress and bed have not been delivered. Received a call about 2 hours ago from a delivery man at the door of our house. I have my own company 75 miles from home and my fiancé is also in the office so cannot wait in all day/week/month year on the off chance that this appalling company might turn up with the goods! Who can actually stay in all day, everyday and not go to work.
I have tried to make contact on numerous occasions through email and by telephone. The telephone rings out after half an hour and I have had no response to any emails. The company's behaviour is fraudulent and they should be banned from trading.
The worst experience of my life with any company anywhere in the world. Absolutely disgusting way to treat people.
Card was charged twice
ON November 22nd 2016 i placed an order (Order ref: WS0291421) for a bunk bed and two mattresses and dinning table with 4 chairs. The next day my card had 2 pending payments of the same amount ( total order amount). I immediately contacted the customer services team to refund me as soon as possible as the order amount was not small and my card could go to minus. They replied that i will have my money back in 7 working days. I borrowed money from my friends to put on my account so bank does not charge me for going over the limit. When time passed i contacted the customer services again and another ticket was raised with formal reply. When i asked what happened to the first ticket no explanation was given just that the first one was merged to the second. I raised another complaint via online form, which was added up to my ticket. And no reply. So it seems that whenever there is an issue there is no one who wants to take the ownership for the case and solve it. And the most irritating thing is that i just received ( 10th of December 2015) an email asking to provide my 16 digit number of my card so refunds team can verify whether my account was charged twice! What was that? this is completely unacceptable! IT looks like more as a scam! They claim to be a professional company who would like to be a leader in retail sector and they do not have a system to check the history of payments and orders of the client? I hope managers read this and take actions. You need to invest in your customer services and provide a proper training. And of course i hope i will be refunded as soon as possible. Gulia
Recieved moulded 2 panel bi-folding door of wrong width, not fit for purpose.
I ordered two doors for my mother from Worldstores on the 29th October this year. The first, a glazed wood panelled door, arrived two weeks after the date and was the correct fit. The second, a moulded 2 panel bi-folding door, arrived only last friday. When I opened the packaging, it turned out that the door was 1981mm x 610mm, some 150mm less than the original width(1981mm x 762mm) that I ordered! As a result, the workman couldn't fit this door for the bathroom. I contacted Worldstores the following saturday aftenoon, only to be told to contact their customer service department. On Monday, I attempted to contact their CSD, only to get an automated message and be put in a queue. Two attempts were made and I was kept waiting for 10 minutes and 20 minutes respectively. Both attempts failed. The same day, I opened a dispute with them via Paypal and demanded a refund for the second door I ordered. On Tuesday, I received a reply via email stating that my request for a refund was declined and that I would be contacted that day to arrange for a collection of the item and its replacement with a door of the right measurements. So far, there has been no response to my request. I will keep pestering them until they get their act together and sort this out, otherwise I will take further action against them. I really should have ordered through my local Wickes first and saved myself a lot of bother.
Corona high end king size bed
Bought this bed 2 yrs ago thinking i wouldn't have to buy another one for a long time how wrong was i. bought with a full bedroom set comprising of 2 Triple wardrobes. 2 bed side cabinets. 1 dressing table. 1 4 draw chest it wasn't cheap. the beds head board has cracked right across the bottom which holds the bed together after emailing everyday since Thursday and getting no where apart from being told that its being looked in to by 4 different people.i have even offered to buy a replacement head board and all i get is its been passed on to courier and as soon as we hear back on a price we will be in touch. at my wits end now as bed has now completely broken. the picture below is the wood between the 2 legs on the headboard that holds the slats and side boards in place
Internal Door
I ordered a door to be delivered within a week. On the delivery date I got a text, but it didn't arrive. I have contacted the customer service desk twice and they have contacted the delivery company. The order is now over 11 days late and they are unable to locate where the item is. Basically I've paid for nothing!
I would never use Worldstores again and would strongly recommend anyone to look else where.
I am very disappointed with their service and hope they refund me.
