I have been what I believe is called a "shadow ban". I dont cheat! look at my kill/death ratio, that alone should show if I cheat or not. As much as I suck at this game I enjoy it, it brings my friends and myself together. Im 65 yrs old, and at a point that I dont care about stats, I just want to have a fun time with the games I play, which is few, so the ones I do play I invest alot of time in. Now its a disadvantage to my friends and to me that I enter a game and subject my friends to a really long wait to get in a game, at times the wait is horrendiously long, so just tell them to play without me. This is unfair, and after watching many videos on poeple streaming this game, they I gues have a way to ban people if those people kill them in a game. If this practice is enforced by the developers of the game, then maybe I should find another game to play, which is a shame because I have invested much (money and time) in this game and would hate to stop playing this game because unfair RULES that apparently the company enforces. If I was guilty of cheating then a perma ban I would understand, BUT I DONT CHEAT! Check my gaming record on mw 2.0/DMZ and what other game mw 2.0 offers. I DONT CHEAT! Ban the real cheaters (mostly the streamers)

I'm writing this because my account for mw2 has been ban I tried giving pc a chance to play and when my game crashed it put me in a temporary ban for like 20 minutes so my ping was over 200 and a little later it turned into a permanent ban im not a toxic player by no means I tried to appeal the discussion but no luck I was ban on may 14th 2025 please help

Dear activision, please please please I request you to adress my case once again please I have been banned falsley without any reason or notification or warning as per my searches and etc I found out that softwares like icue. Hi,
Was playing for a few hours, jumped off to take a break only to find out 20 minutes later I've been permanently banned
The ban suggests i was using third party software which I was not or never have..
Upon appealing it was instantly denied and completely closed
I recently spent £29.95 on the battle pass and obviously the games itself which is expensive
Would love for this to be resolved..

First there is still too many hackers who are blatantly displaying that they are, because we can no longer kick them from games. Second it will put me in a game with my squad and not load the game to where we have to disconnect and lose 30 sr and have a 30-minute suspension for not even being in a game.
You give the hackers mass amounts of SR and don't even give the people who are playing by the rules the sr to combat with the loss we are having due to the game and not of our own accord.
Desired outcome: I would like the SR i have lost throughout the times i have had to disconnect due to it not putting me into a game. I also want the option to kick hackers out of the game

I purchased COD MW2 unknowingly 2 days before the end of their season 2. I purchased the more expensive Vault edition. Before I could even learn the game, the season was over, and my "benefits" from buying the more expensive game were gone. I opened tickets several times with Activision and Battlenet/Blizzard. Blizzard referred me back to Activision. Activision's "Support" told me not to buy a game two days before the end of the season again. I had no way of knowing the season ended in two days, or I would have waited for the new offerings for season three. I've asked for a manager several times and I keep getting the run around from different support folks. I told them at this point I would settle for their new battle pass offering for season three, the black cell package. When I bought the game the advertisements on the battle net app never mentioned season dates. Their ads are deceptive on purpose.
Desired outcome: I would like them to either refund me the difference between the Vault edition and standard edition, or provide a pack of similar value to make up the difference in price.

Now I am shadow banned again on 4/19/23. I can’t enjoy my game that I paid for because of false accusations and the type of system you guys have. In relation to the email sent at 03:44 CET on the 14/04/2023 stating that my account "has been permanently banned for using unauthorized software and manipulation of game data" and that my ban will not be overturned is completely unfair for someone who has paid €70 for the game and has never run any type of cheating software on my Xbox Series X, and I'm quite sure it's not even possible to do that.
Looking at my K/D ratio and my stat's it would be quite obvious that I'm not cheating, I just enjoyed playing this game (before the new season I was still able to play it) as it brought back happy memories of playing the original Modern Warfare 2.
Additionally, as your software has had access to my console I am requesting access to the data and logs that show evidence of the unauthorized software that you claim was running on my Xbox. Furthermore, as your reply seems like a blanket automated reply, I wish to make an access request under Article 15 of the GDPR regulations for a copy of any information you keep about me, on computer or in manual form in relation to the above incident including the existence of automated decision-making, including profiling and meaningful information about how decisions are made, the significance and the consequences of processing.
To summarize I am requesting an investigation into the unauthorized software you claim was running on my Console along with the logs and personal data you have obtained from me. I will happily co-operate by allowing a security engineer access to my Xbox to investigate, either through physical drop off or through a remote session.
Furthermore, now as I have no way to play either the multiplayer or the campaign, I am requesting a full refund for €70 and 2500 cod points as what I paid for is not fit for purpose.

So, I suppose there is no need to be polite. Since Activision does not care about reputation, let's try a more uncivilize approach. The thing is I and a lot of other honest players are constantly being shadow ban for no reason. Players abuse the report system and honest players who can play well and use all equipment that game provides find themself in shadow ban.After some point there is enough only 1 false o raghe report to end up in SH for week after week.Obviously till this week "under Review" nobody make this review job. I see same people and chiters in the matches.When SH time run out players can play 1-5 games and if they play well some stupid kid makes a report because they don't understand how to combine smoke and thermal optics. So support does nothing. What would motivate businesses to provide quality products and services? I think the imminent danger of money and reputation losses. Everyone knows that now there is a process of Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard. This can be used as leverage. It may happen that some crucial financial or just embarrassing information could be published in social media. And it may have an impact on that precious deal.I don't know how hard this impact could be but I am sure it could be unpleasant. You know, like shadow ban. After all, I could do not play in CoD MWII or use another account, however why should I pay thieves? And of course it is important to remember that I am perfectly safe from any problems that Activision could think of. I am physically and legally unreachable. Shadow ban bug
I have been shadow banned probably 15 times in this game. It started after the game launched, and every time the ban gets lifted it comes back after a few games or 10 kill game. When big name streamer got banned they fixed it temporarily, bit now its back. In the past 2 weeks I was shadow banned 5 times, the ban last about 3 days, every times it is lifted, it is back after 1-4 games max, regardless of the number of kills. I was once banned on a 2 kill game! Another game with 5 kills!
I contacted support but They didn’t help in any way. I was only able to play for about 2 hours in two weeks.

It's been about twelve years. I have loved you and hated you, but I keep coming back. You have been my first love of gaming. I have invested in every Call of Duty title with hours of gameplay and multiple grinds for mastery camo, and since Black Ops Three, my credit card has also invested its time. Recently I have been permanently banned for having "unauthorized software and manipulation of game data." While it stinks I can't play, I am more frustrated that I am being accused of Cheating or manipulating the game to unlock game content. I have done no such thing. I have grinded and earned everything in MW2 and Warezone 2.

Things I think caused the Perma Ban: (I am guessing, Just changes I did the month before the ban)
I download the Steel Series app for "The Final Beta." I unlocked mastery camo without touching RPGS or riot-shied. (enough DLC guns that make this possible). I also had a Nintendo 8BitDO adapter plugged in for my Elite series two controllers to connect to my PC. (I used this to play Hogwart on the big-screen TV; Elite doesn't have Bluetooth. )

Wow you guys sound like me right now. I too have just now been banned and I am a legitimate player. I have had my account since 2010. I have been banned for "unauthorized software" and "game manipulating". I stream and value my account so I would never cheat. My account is too precious to me. I'm seeing a pattern with this though. Before I got banned I just finished grinding my Interstellar and Orion camo. Got it on all weapons including rockets, riot shields and melee weapons. Then after that I played 3 rounds of Resurgence RANKED for a job well done. Got 1st place on 2 of those 3 matches, my packet loss was averaging around 30% so I knew something funny was going on like being in a hacked lobby. I have the Steel Series Headset so I use the app. I also use MSI Afterburn to overclock my GPU. So I wonder if these things have anything to do with it as well. Hopefully not. Hello there...I too was banned just last night for no reason what so ever...i kept having crashing issues with my pc as my internet would switch between wifi and ethernet..so i uninstalled my ethernet drivers and reinstalled them during this time i had to install msi software for the drivers...i fixed my issue but then one game later couldnt find a lobby and bam i checked activisions site and i was under appeal. then this morning perm banned...do you know if you had anything like that on your pc...along side a rgb program like icue

I've been playing FPS on PC for over 20 years now & have always been extremely good at it. I've never cheated or run any kind of software to cheat in all my years (going back to original Counter Strike & Ghost Recon days). Of course w/ every new game comes learning new maps, weapons & map clearing tactics in order to dominate the competition. I was on hiatus w/ no PC for a good amount of years & recently built a $3000+ rig because I wanted to get back into gaming. @ the moment MWII was just released & was most popular within my clan/friends who game. This is the only game I play, & because of that have logged over 12 days worth of time in Tier 1 & Hardcore multiplayer. Apparently getting very good @ a game is now a disadvantage because I've been shadowbanned for over a month now w/ no actual investigtion into my account while continuously now getting disconnected while trying to play through the ban. This is extremely ridiculous that I spent what I did for my PC & the first game I get (spending over $100) I can't even enjoy because of Activison's broken anti-cheat algorithm (Ricochet) & broken reporting system. I can't even contact or talk to anyone in support because they have none & have yet to address this. @ this point the game has become almost unplayable w/ no solution or compensation in sight. Desired outcome: Fix the broken reporting system. Activision/Blizzard is now Microsoft owned. There's no reason they can't invest on a legit & proper anti-cheat system to tell the difference between dedicated great players & cheating players.
So my shadow ban was taken away a few days before season 3 dropped. I was back to normal joining games quickly and having fun again. Of course I was weary when season 3 dropped and said I wouldn't spend money on purchasing it. After 2 weeks I gave in and purchased the Black Cell season 3 pass for $30. I was playing an S&D game with 2 other party members. I was on the bottom of the team kill list & randomly got "disconnected from server", to find out I am again on the shadow ban list. Just a week after purchasing the new battle pass, I was put back on the shadow ban last night. It's damn appalling to see this billion dollar company get away w/ taking people's money and then not providing a satisfactory service of gameplay. I'm tired of this nonsense. Activision/Blizzard/Microsoft has to be held accountable for this absolutely ridiculous non-efficient & fraudulent system. Right now I can't connect to any game and remain out over $150 & over 14 days worth of gameplay & grind time trying to unlock weapons skins & so forth. Some players can be out right verbally offensive & racist in game chat & don't get this kind of treatment. It's an F'ing joke.

Shadow bans on Call of duty Warzone 2
I recently have travelled to the USA on vacation, my girlfriend has a pc so I set up a battle net account and continued to play as I normally would.
I have now been Shadow banned around 11 times with varying time limits of each ban. Each time my account is restored as I am not using third party software or game altering engines to cheat. I lost multiple weeks of playable experience and am reluctant to buy the full game from the service I have received. I understand that once my account is under review there is nothing I can do other than to wait for it to be lifted. Frankly I love the idea of the report system and having the player base be able to report suspected cheaters. However as an above average player with a 2+kd I am getting continuously mass reported as this is the only viable reason for the repeated bans. I'd love to see this feature have some sort of fail safe in place or potential white listing of accounts who have a track record of high kill games and repeated lifting of shadow bans. Its obviously highly frustrating being a genuine player who has supported the company for 10+ years and has invested countless months of my life only to be left with a bad experience on this most recent Call of duty. The desired outcome would be to lift my Shadow ban and to white list my account or begin fixing the mass reporting issue so players like myself don't continue having their gaming experience ruined.

It's getting out of control, but I'm not sure how to say it. This is the 7th time I've received an unjustified shadow ban. Why am I being penalized for playing well in the game if I'm doing well? It's out of control now. I purchased the game for the second time on this account to support my real-life friends in playing, but you guys keep doing this shadowban for no apparent reason. From Black ops 3, I have been a supporter of yours, so please fix your game issue. I spent almost $175 on your game, which is just so unfair to me. It is quite unpleasant to be unable to play the game on a Monday Afternoon .And have to wait for you guys to un shadow ban me for days.

Unable to play the game due to constant shadow bans(Account under review) one after the other, There's no way to appeal them either, They aren't dealt with in a timely manner. The whole of season 2 I've been almost completely unable to play the game, The shadow bans get lifted but there's no grace period and I get re-shadow banned straight away.
Desired outcome: Shadow bans to no longer exist or to no longer punish innocents/non-toxic players.

As a loyal and genuine fan of the Series, I obviously bought the game to grind for skins and prestige again. Having bought the vault edition and grinding the Battle Pass, I left my home in February 23 to work offshore for two months. Came back home and casually wanted to play a game of shipment, just to find my account had been permanently banned for no reason. Looking at my KDR and other stats, it's evident I never used cheating software. Besides that, it wouldn't make sense AT ALL tot cheat on a main account that has existed for 10 years. Appealing on the support page does obviously not work. Second appeals are not possible and emailing does not work either.
It is absolutely outrageous that Activision goes around taking money from customers to then unfairly ban paying customers without giving any opportunity to actually appeal individual cases.

I've tried reaching activison support and got a automated message back and I've made multiple tickets and they all given me the same response.
