delayed and missing bags
Dear sirs,
I recently returned to Alexandria from Athens after a six days holiday with my family on flight number (A3 952) which arrived (13/8/2017) at (12:30 am) at Alexandria airport
I have four bags that did not arrive to Alexandria with tags number 1) 0390 A3 94157
2) 0390 A3 [protected] A3 [protected] A3 47 92 89
I spoke with (Ms. Ghada Hassan) at the airport and she informed me that they would be in touch within 24 hours to inform me of where and when my luggage would be tracked down and arriving. It has been 3 days now, I have spoken several times since my arrival to Aegean airlines call center and to the airport and no one has absolutely any information concerning my luggage.
I hope that the bags will be located and sent back as soon as possible.
I believe that I'm entitled to some form of compensation from the airline, specially that on my way to Athens one of my bags was delayed for more than 24 hours and after filling the claim form, I was informed that I would receive a compensation for this delay.
The trip was totally ruined as I arrived on a Sunday morning which was very hard to find open stores to buy clothes and essential stuff including my medication, I wasted a lot of time and money to replace some stuff in addition to the stress to sort things out and make my kids happy as possible.
And to make matters worse I went to the airport on my way back to Alexandria for the compensation and no one helped me out, and to add up arrived safely to Alexandria to find 4 bags missing on my arrival this is not professional at all this was my first trip on this airline and definitely the last.
Please do not ignore this letter, I would like us to try resolve this problem without court proceeding and legal costs.

On July 22, 2017, after I arrived in Athens from Larnaca, I travelled on Flight A3-7076 from Athens to Skiathos with about two hours delay. This was not a big issue as the returning flight. I would like to focus on my returning flight A3-7077 of July 28, 2017, from Skiathos to Athens. I arrived at the airport early and went to the Aegean desks for the check-in. There the employee said me that I have a seat for the first flight from Skiathos to Athens but for the second flight from Athens to Larnaca my seat is Standby. I was travelling alone and was anxious as this has never happened to me before. After that, I went through security and then to the gate, but the gate did not open at the scheduled time and no announcement was made for any delay. The passengers were upset and asked the staff why the gate did not open yet without any response. Also, there were not enough available seats for all passengers as the Skiathos airport was enough small and another flight had a delay. All we were waiting until they announced that our aircraft did not arrive yet from Athens. I was so nervous and anxious as I had only an hour between the flight to catch my next flight from Athens to Larnaca and also I needed some time to ask for a seat in Athens.
After about two hours delay we arrived in Athens and during the flight, the staff announced that my flight A3-910 will have some delay to catch the plane and fly with it. When we arrived in Athens the staff was waiting for me and for other four women to take us straight to the other gate. Luckily, when I arrived at the gate the staff gave me a seat and I flew with my flight.
After the difficulties and suffering, I arrived at Larnaca airport and reached the baggage claim area, I was shocked to discover that my luggage was lost as I was waiting about 45 minutes but my luggage never arrived. Immediately I contacted the baggage claim representative and he assured me that my luggage probably was forgotten in Athens. Thus, the representative asked me to fill out a claim form and said me that my luggage would be on the next flight and a taxi will bring it to me in Limassol tomorrow morning. It is also worth mentioning that due to a lot of time I wasted in the baggage claim area, I lost the last bus route and I had to take the taxi that cost me enough.
The next day I was waiting for my bag or a call from the Aegean lost & found the office to inform me about my luggage but I received nothing. Thus I was calling at all telephone numbers of the Aegean offices but nobody answered me. After a number of times that I called to the lost and found office someone answered and said that my bag did not arrive in Larnaca airport yet. I was so nervous due to all situation that happened to me, I never expected so inconvenience from this airline.
Finally, after two days I received my bag with scratches and a torn on the angle.
Aegean airlines lost my bag during transit from Leros airport to London don't hear throw after charging me 45 euros to check in my bag that was of hand luggage size. This was because a transfer tag was not added to my bag so was left behind at Athens.
I am still waiting for my bag and an apology from Aegean Airlines. They are greedy and incompetent. Fly with someone else
poor service and terrible customer relations
My name is Jennifer Zoio and I flew from Bordeaux to Athens and then Athens to Larnaca with my husband Vasco. At Bordeaux we were told that the luggage had to be cleared in Athens, i.e. taken off the belt and out the front doors and back in again at the baggage drop off.
We had a short turn around but enough time until we went to the baggage drop off. We chose a queue and queued for 20 minutes when we got to the front they said that this was only for families, and many of us were just couples and instead of moving us to another queue she waited till we got to the front. By this time there was only a very short amount of time left. The main queue had at least 200 people in it and no way to get the bags on the flight - we had mobile boarding passes. I asked the women behind the counter how we could catch the flight if we had to join this queue and that we would miss the flight. She said to me I DONT CARE IT IS NOT MY FAULT YOU ARE IN THE WRONG QUEUE. She enjoyed it!
My sheer luck I heard another women talking to a business class employee about the exact same problem and she also was now going to miss her flight. I then told the lady that I had the same problem and then another person came and said the same thing. So this business class employee went to the main check in counter and asked the man to check us all in before the people in the queue.
The whole thing was chaotic and the most useless piece of organization I have ever seen in an airport. I would NEVER fly with Aegean again. It is ludicrous that the baggage cannot be checked through.

Good day,
I had a flight from Heraklion to Limnos with a stop over in Athens. I only had hand luggage. I had no problem. I arrive in athens and i try to go through to my next flight. I get stopped and told i need to check in my hand luggage due to creams that were more then 100ml. I tried to find another solution but i understand the rules. So i try to manage my booking to at least pay a reduced amount however the online system didn't let me. I was thus FORCED to pay 35 euro instead of 18! This is unacceptable. Also on almost every flight we are told to give hand luggage in for free due to too many on board. This is unacceptable! This is robbing us blind! We try to understand the rules. However how is it fair to want to pay online but the system refuses!
I will await a solution for this. It is unacceptable as i said before. I expect better service from one of the best airlines. I am very disappointed!

I have booked and paid a ticket online, and find out my self that I have make a mistake in booking >
Instead of booking 20/6/2017 to 1/7/2017 ...I booked 20/7/2017 to 1/8/2017 so this mistake of mine cost me extra 212 Euro, after asking you through Jordanian agent of Aegean, you have refused to VOID same day ticket issue.
Therefore, I have to pay extra 212 Euro to change my flight date, which I was very frustrating and was also a very bad experience to me ...
In facts, I was processing to book all the family with Aegean Airline, but when I make mistake and start struggling to refund or change without any charges, it stopped me from booking for my wife and my two children, and think of other airline .
My booking date now is a proof that I make a mistake .
I felt so bad also because I'm forced to fly Aegean, and my family will not fly with me, this will be my last flight and the most expensive as to pay over 702 Euro for a flight Amman Athena Milan Athena Amman...
that's why I think its a RIP-OFF
I will always remember what happened to me with Aegean Airline, and will always discourage people from using your airline family and friends ... I will never forget how I was ripped off because of a small mistake in entering the dates for the booking cost me so much money for nothing, in addition to the frustration of your negative reply and clarifications .
and for sure Aegean Airlines will be banned from companies That I manage ...

Having booked a return flight from Paris to Athens through Ebookers, I had called Aegean to include luggage on the flight and paid for. What was not mentioned is that the payment was only for one flight. Due to having my credit card stolen in Athens, I could not afford an extra baggage on the day of bag drop off and they provided NO, I mean absolutely no help in dealing with my situation...you didn't care. This could be avoided if you mentioned it, now I'm stuck at the airport and not going to be able to prepare for my job interview. Worst customer service...I recommend a refund for my flight, this is not how you treat your customers, absolutely scandalous...

aegean not complying with star alliance baggage policy
We booked a flight with Singapore Airlines as the main carrier from Athens
to Auckland - via Frankfurt and Singapore. With Aegean and Air NZ later taking on legs of the journey.
Singapore baggage policy is that bicycles can be included within checked in baggage at no extra charge. This was the reason we chose this flight.
Star Alliance policy is that the main carriers baggage policy applies
throughout. For our first flight on Aegean, we should have been able to
apply the Singapore baggage terms.
Athens Aegean staff ignored this policy and insisted that their policy took
precedence as we were flying with them first. They would not read, or
reference the relevant policies when shown (incredibly arrogant and
ignorant). We were charged 55 euros by Aegean.
Once in Singapore, we saw a Singapore Airlines helpdesk who both helped us and informed us that we were entitled to a full refund as per the terms and conditions.
However, once we emailed Singapore for said refund, they shirked. They said we had to pursue with Aegean, who also shirked. Both Companies are under the Star Alliance umbrella, but do not adhere to the respective policies.
Aegean are charging baggage without a fee applying. Our contract is with Singapore, so they are also at fault for their non-assistance in the matter.
Exactly what my comment was. However, their argument is that Aegean wrongly charged us fees and therefore should refund us.
The carrier who issued you the tickets is the one to process your refund claim. Not the codeshare partner that SQ chose to "subcontract" part of your journey.

It seemed that yesterday, was the last day I could have bought the 1.000 miles missing to continue to be eligible as a silver member.
No message was sent to my e-mail - as it used to be your method- to inform
about the procedure that I was to follow to comply with your regulations.
Today I checked my account and I realised that I have deen downgraded overnight.
It is evident that you changed the procedure without informing explicitly the members of your programme.
I am asking to consider my case and allow me purchase the number of the miles required so as to retain my silver status.

My wife and I flew from Naxos to Rome on the 14/09/2016. When we checked in at Naxos the guy behind the counter told us he could not check our luggage through to Rome from Athens as his printer was broken and he could not print the tag. He told us we had to collect it in Athens then check it back in for the flight to Rome. The flight to Rome was a connecting flight with only 45 minutes between arriving in Athens and departing fro Rome. We explained how if we had to do this we would miss our flight and he advised us it wasn't his fault. We went to the office at the Airport in Naxos and complained and the lady there told us we had plenty of time and shouldn't be so precious. When we arrived in Athens we went straight to the transfer desk and told them of our situation. The 2 ladies behind the counter made a couple of phone calls and advised us we should go directly to our boarding gate as they had organised for our luggage to be transferred. We arrived in Rome our luggage didn't. We filed a claim at FCO and left. This is now 40 hours later and still no luggage. I have called Aegean's customer service line who informed me they couldn't do anything, I should call FCO lost and found on +[protected]. I have called this number (which i have checked is correct) 21 times. Not one of these calls have been answered. A couple of times it was engaged so there is somebody there, just not answering the phone. I have emailed Aegean through their website 3 times, no response. I have sent 4 messages to Aegean via Worldtracer's website, no response. What are we supposed to do? We have no clothes, no medications and no support from Aegean.

Together with my boyfriend we were flying on the 1st July to Thessaloniki (SKG). Booking number 8BI5ND, flight with transfer in Crete (HER).
We were informed on the board of the plane that all the luggages are not flying with us. We have to add here that we were flying to Greece for a wedding to attend and we have planned to leave Thessaloniki after to days to our next holiday vacation. We were promised already in the aircraft that the baggages will be delivered to our hotel the next day (2nd July) so we were not that really panicked and it would be not a big issue if the promise would be fulfilled. Also in our stop in Crete we were promised once again that in the worst case scenario the baggages will be delivered the next day. To our big surprise when we arrived in our final destination in Thessaloniki nobody got a clue about what had happened and that there is any delay. Nobody got an information about what is gonna happened. We have today the 3rd and the baggage is still nobody knows where. Since two days we are leaving in constant stress, calling every single place we can think about ( aegean customer service, airports, lost and found enz. ) and nobody has an information about our luggage. We could not attend the wedding and our vacation is already ruined, we are stuck, we can not move anywhere not to mention that we do not have clothes for the weather here. We do not get any information from the customer care what we have to do in this situation, we can check it on the website which has also not very clear description about this. We have complained about it at AEGEAN AIRLINES, but they do not respond . I have never ever experienced such a bad service and we are not talking here about cheap airlines but about star alliance member.
Taking into consideration our mental stress and emotional damage as well as not being able to attend the wedding we expect a full refund of our plane tickets as well as financial recuperation. We do expect aegen airlines to show at least a little customer care and respond our messages and call us.
flight assistance with no training / sensitivity in dealing with children
Date of incident : 3rd December 2015 on a flight A3 772 AT 16:25 From Larnaca to London Heathrow Reference number:6H4KU7 We just had a very bad and unpleasant experience flying to London from Larnaca.No flight assistance ! Travelling with twins of 2 and a half years of age. One Toilet in economy out of use. A constant queue of at least 8 people for just the only one toilet available and we denied access in the 1st class toilet when we asked of the one of the twins who was sick, could use it. Since one of the babies was sick and rather scared of the flight we Asked if one of us with one baby could take 2 seats at the back which were empty, thus given the chance to relax without being influenced by the other twin who was crying, but in the meantime the seat was taken over by single persons who were lying down taking over 3 continuous seats. Upon our request female flight assistance firstly replied she cannot help at all and then we asked another who said that we should ask other passengers ourselves...and walked away. When the plane finally landed and of course we were the last to leave the plane trying to collect all of babies staff, none of the flight assistants offered a helping hand till the cabin crew head came asking if she could do something since none else was actually offering help but only standing above us and looking...of course I said that its the only airline I flew with and had NO SENSITIVITY ABOUT SMALL CHILDREN! Two more things: we were told upon boarding that we could take the double stroller which we handed at the gate in Larnaca, that it would be given to us at the plane door when we land. No stroller was found at the plane exit and had to carry the babies till the baggage claim where we found the double stroller away of the allocated conveyor belt and literally thrown on the ground on the other end of the baggage claim area. Babied were give toys and activity books one hour and a half before landing . This was done by the cabin chief who came from the first class and not from the flight assistance at the economy. I would like to take my complaint further
