i was accepted for a loan and they also took 79 pounds out of my bank and because i didnt need the loan anymore i rang up for a refund and was told to email them i have done so 4 times and rang and still havent got my money bak

well, i have complained, cried down the phone to them because there not helping at all! I have 2 babies and they have taken out the money I use for shopping. I have phoned trading standards so I suggest you all contact them as-well as I was told by a trading standards officer that if they have breeched there contract WHICH THEY HAVE and it sounds like you are all in the same boat as me. then you can claim not only your money back but also compensation. anyone wishing to contact them phone [protected] even if you all just phone up and make them aware. This company needs to be stopped from what they are doing. When you phone this number, you will get through to the citizens advice. listen to your options and then select the one that says consumer or something like that. explain what has happened. Apparently you can request the money back from the bank. Ask you Citizens Advice agent about this. Also don't forget to ask AK Management for a copy of the conversation you had when you applied/ IF you applied. It will cost £10 but it will be worth it if you know for a fact you are in the right. I applied for a loan, got told will get the specific loan I want and they will take £79 out of the loan after I get it. I am a single parent on benefits. I did not get offered the loan I wanted, so decided not to bother with it and A K management took the £79 out of my account anyway, leaving me short of money to pay bills I wanted loan to consolidate and short of money for food and stuff for kids.

Well apparently we are all liars. i have been advised to write to them to tell them i want the funds put back into my account within 10 days. if they don't i can take them to a small claims court. trading standards gave me this advice. They are bang out of order they told me i am not getting my money back. i asked if i should go and collect everyone's bank card in my street and get loans out on them. they said you can if you want!
Do not use this as a means of getting a loan. I was wanting a 10000 pound loan for debt consolidation and a new car. Instead I recieved emails from lenders offering me 750 pounds. What good is this? After reading the reviews I wasent taking the chance of them withdrawn the 79 pound regardless of the loan so I cancelled my card before they could. If you need a loan stick to banks, if your credit rating is below good like mines is try a credit union. This is a scam u shouldnt be paying 79 pound to be offered loans which are no good to you. Avoid no matter how desperate you are for a loan this will only empty your pockets further.

(Not supply you one) not only that they even say the lenders can pay out as quickly as two hours! Once again stating there not giving it to you. They actually explain clearly. So your paying for a service not a loan direct from them. And all of you on job seekers saying you can't afford £79? Did you really think you would get excepted being unemployed also? So all of you asking for a refund that wouldn't happen as you agreed to all the terms in the call which they would of stated at the begin of the call. well they scammed the wrong person here as ive been in contact with bbc watch dog and will be in contact with the police they cannot take money out of peoples bank accounts whether you gave bank details or not when they made promises they wouldnt until a loan was in place, no loan been agreed on or taken out. so watch this space because i intend to name and shame this company until i get my money back in my bank account where it belongs

ak managment what a waste of time also taken £79 from my account trying to get this back however all they keep on about is terms and conditions they are SCAM company despite what they may tell you. For me to get a copy of any "transcript" they want a further £10 which i would imagine they want my card details again!
My advice to anyone is avoid anyone company asking for a broker fee this has been advised to me by a financial advisor as they are all scadulous.. Also if you are struggling to get your feees back there are ligit companys that can help all i can say to AK MANAGMENT WHOEVER YOU OPERATE UNDER...TUT TUT at least robin hood wore a mask...
well, its been OVER 3 MONTHS NOW. I still have not had a refund. So I am taking them to a small claims court. Trading standards have told me to right them a letter and post it recorded delivery with a deadline on it for my refund. I will let you all know. they aint gettin 10 working days to refund it though. There getting 5 working days. I have had it with waiting 4 them.

Hi this has also happened to me, I have spoken to consumer advice and they hav stated to send a letter stateing you. Were mis informed which is illegal under the mis representation consumer act and to state under section 155 of the consumer credit act a broker can not charge more than £5 and to give them a resonable time limit to refund the money or that you will be taking further legal advice! I hope this helps for the people who have been scammed by this company and I will be follweing this advice, also I must add that the company has now been reported to trading standards!

I have had the same experience with this scam artist company today. i have sent and received emails today and will hopefully get my money back within 30 days from today here are the emails (the first one i sent is at the bottom) hope this help some people out of the same situation that i had this morning
I can confirm I wish to cancel the application for the third time now and want you to process my refund minus the £5 administration fee. You now have to refund me the remanding £74 by the 3rd April 2013 (30 days).
If you have not refunded me the £74 by the above stated date as per your terms and conditions, I will take this further and have already completed the paperwork to take your company to the small claims court to get my money back.
I will also contact trading standards and the financial ombudsman service. I am very sorry about this but your company is quick to take the money even when a loan has not been found, but seem to take a while to return it when it is clearly your error.

I want to cancel any agreement we have.
I spoke to a member of your staff on 22nd of February enquiring about a loan. There were no funds in my bank until today and you have taken the £79. I have not been able to get the loan due to bad credit and not being able to get a suitable guarantor.
I have been reading your terms and conditions under section 1d i have the right to cancel within 14 days
1d. Under the Financial Services (Distant Marketing) Regulations 2004, You have the right to cancel the Agreement within 14 days of receiving these terms and conditions. You can write to, tell us verbally or email us. In this event We will refund your fee within 30 days of the date on which We receive your request to cancel your application. Any written requests should be made to: Compliance Manager, A K Management (UK) Ltd, 1st Floor, St James House, Northbridge Road, Berkhamsted HP4 1EF. "Days" here include Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays.
I understand that from section 7a i will only be refunded £74 which i want asap sue to you keeping a £5 admin fee
7a. You have the right to cancel this agreement under section 1d. You may also end this agreement at any time and for any reason thereafter, by giving Us written notice by post or email which You may serve at any time whether or not You believe We may have been in breach of our obligations under this Agreement. In the event of cancellation under this section 7a, we will discontinue any further referrals or future consultations on Your behalf. So i wish to end this agreement due to the fact of not being able to get the required loan (as in section 7a any reason).
I have not entered into a credit agreement with anyone due to above reasons and state your term and conditions 7b
7b. If You have applied and cancelled through A K Management (UK) Ltd, trading as Money Essentials for a loan finding service through one of our subsidiary companies, we will comply at all times with the Credit Consumer Act 1974. You will be refunded (if requested), regardless if We have fulfilled Our obligations under this Agreement, if you have not entered into a Credit Agreement with one of the service providers We introduce You to within 6 months of the commencement of the Agreement.
I am wish to end the agreement today and state section 9.
9. The effect of ending the Agreement 9a. When this Agreement ends, our duties and obligations under this Agreement will come to an end. Your One-Off Fee will be returned in full, only if we failed to perform our obligations under the Agreement due to no fault of Your own. If we did fulfil Our obligations under the Agreement, Your One-Off Fee will be returned to You in full (less £5 for administration) by Us, unless section 7b applies. You will not have to pay Us any more money. 9b. Any agreements You have in place with Our referred service providers will still stand 9c. If You cancel or end this Agreement with Us, it is Your responsibility to cancel the scheduled One-Off Fee to service Your Consultation with Your bank. 9d. If your financial circumstances change during the Term of this Agreement We may refer You to our Insurance Providers, Utility Firms, Pension Providers, Debt Advisors, Insolvency Practitioners or any other Financial Service Providers to identify a solution which better meets your needs at that time.
I expect the £79 fee to be returned to my bank less £5 admin fee within 30 days as stated in section 1d.
