Hiya i am complaining about funds been taken out of my bank account for a loan in which i didn't get and i am wanting that money put back into my account as that is the money that i am meant to live on and the above company said i had to put a complaint in before it gets refunded to my account the amount was 79 pounds and if you need to speak to me about this my number is [protected] and my name is christopher heslop. What a shower of ### this company really is.i rang up after having 80.00 taken out.just like everyone else here.they said no money would be taken out unless I get a loan.i never did have one.but these low life ### who got no morals took the money anyway.report it with your bank as a visa dispute. You should get your money back.on the basis they are no good liars .I will be going to the f.s.a to report these tossers .lets all get together make the same complaint and shut these ###s down

AK Management unlawfully took money from my account without my say so, and under the consumer and credit act I AM entitled to a full refund. this company are breaking the law and need to be stopped. I have got my bank on the case and also I have contacted the police over the matter. I did not enter into any agreement with this company if they can call themselves that. they are SCAMMERS pour and simple. YOU HAVE PICKED ON THE WRONG WOMAN HERE AK MANAGEMENT, I WILL GET YOU STOPPED

Also took in by these shysters for £79.
All through the call I was repeating 'you aren't going to take any money from my account are you' ?
to which the mendacious young lady always replied 'no'.
Guess what ? £79 disappears and they even have the gonads to send me a receipt.
Complained after waiting 25 minutes on phone, they say 'they'll listen to call'
Apparently I was quite happy for them to take the cash and agreed to it, so don't trust these people, they are dishonest.
Tried a Chargeback and NatWest wouldn't do it, some use they are.
Have reported AK Management to Financial Ombudsman and am going to complain to Herts Police also.
Will be writing (recorded). Let you know but be advised. SteveC

Hi AK management are due to take money out my bank next week n I am so worried I told her on the phone I was a single mother on benifits and by the sound of it there's nothing I can do apart from wait for the money to be took out I have emailed saying I wanted to cancel as I didn't want a loan they were offering but I thought they didn't take any fees until you had been accepted for a loan as
I did ask her what are the conditions of the loan she sed there was no upfront fees :( I really don't know what else I can do
I have had no reply to my email yet :(

i applied for a loan online. after few days on the 25/10/13 I received a phone call from this company saying that they could help me look for a loan and it will only take a few minutes of my time to go through the application the lady confirmed me that they had no upfront fees or hidden costs like other companies and there was no obligation. She asked my bank details for the loan to transfer to my account and my card details for verifying my account so I gave them my bank account and card detail in that point she again confirmed me that no money would be taken from my account until the loan amount is deposited to my account. On the 30/10/13 £79 was taken from my account, I rang them immediately and demanding a refund because the loan amount was not in my account. they said there would not be any refund as i have authorized the payment. then i told him i authorized the payment after the loan is deposited to my account as the lady promise, they said there was no such conversation taken place. then i demand the recorded agreement, as soon as i said that he hang up the call, after every time i call them they just hang up on me. According to the Consumer and Credit act 1974 I am fully entitled to a full refund. they did not provide any service to me yet taken my money, no further correspondent have been received from them since. So how could i get my money back. Is there any authorities that could punished this thief?
so now how could i get my money back.

I received several phone calls after inquiring about a Loan I told everyone of them I wasn't interested to remove me from their system as a loan wasn't the right choice for me. Now a week or 2 down the line £79.00 has been taken out of my bank account I am livid as I havn't agreed to any of this with any company.

i have also had £78 taken from my bank after being told NO MONEY WOULD BE TAKEN FROM MY BANK UNTILL I GET A LOAN i am on
a pension the money they took was for my gas to cook as i on a special diet and it was for my electric so thanks to them CROOKS
i have to live for 7 days after paying my bills on £3.51 I HOPE THEY SLEEP WELL AT NIGHT i also bet i dont get a responce from them
nothing but LIES LIES LIES i intend to take this further as i may have to be hospitalised untill i can get my money back THANKS AK NO FOOD NO HEATING

I have had exactly the same situation. They called me but I never went through not agreed to take a loan out with them and now they have taken £79 out of my account! How can I get my refund back?

i still have not heard any thing from ak finance and i class them as theives every time i phoned i got through to a different company i was told verbaly that NO money would be taken from my bank untill i secured a loan i allways thought a verbal statement was binding but not in our case it seems to work only for them we should all post our dealings with ak finance on twitter, facebook and any other site we can find it might not help us but it might stop others getting robbed

I am absolutely livid this company has gone into my account and taken 89.99 for absolutely nothing, now I cannot get a hold of them, my bank is useless and I didnt even get a loan.i need help to get back my money.

I also was accepted for a loan through this company via phone and they said i would receive an email from them to finalise the contract but never received so i rang my bank and told them the situation and gave them the names of the companies they run under and they have now stopped my card and are changing my bank card details with a new long number so they cant take a penny out, i also advise you doing this, if you dont receive an email within an hour do what iv said, you can also recall the money back from them through your bank if you let them know prior. if you are having problems you can catch me on [protected]... thanks

Just to give you guys a bit of hope. I spoke with this company on 3rd December - I asked at least 3 times "Do you take any money from my account before I get a loan, cos obviously I don't have any money until I get a loan otherwise I wouldn't be asking for one". Was re-assured several times, no they don't - they take the money when you get a loan. I received my email with my lenders the same day, 3rd December from Money Essentials. I emailed them straight back the same day and said none of the lenders were suitable as I wanted installments so I wanted to cancel the agreement. I came home from work yesterday to a letter from them with a debit slip attached dated 10 December, welcoming me as a customer. I went ballistic - their offices were closed so I sent an email and followed up with a phonecall this morning. The chap I spoke to (after eventually getting through) was decent enough and he confirmed the payment had been taken by mistake but because of my email cancelling, it had been refunded. I kinda know this is nonsense cos I emailed on 3rd and payment was taken on 10th...but, low and behold, I have actually been refunded. If you don't have a number for them - this is the one I got through on [protected]. I also emailed admin@a-kmanagement.co.uk...good luck guys - there's nothing worse at this time of year and when you're already desperate!

Also - it was £89 they took from me...I also found previous complaints on other websites stating amounts of £54 but this was around 3 years ago. This company have obviously been doing this for a while and it seems the charges have skyrocketted. But, I have got my money back - despite them taking it out of my account. What I do find confusing is that they received my email on 3rd (same day as phone call) saying I wanted to cancel - they took payment on 10 December (according to the debit slip) and they refunded same day (I checked my account today and it hit my bank around 11 / 12 December). The letter they sent me welcoming me was dated 17 and attached the debit slip dated 10 yet there was no mention in the letter that they had refunded me or acknowledging the fact I'd cancelled. It was only when I called them this morning that I discovered they'd refunded. I don't know if it made a difference that I'd cancelled on the same day I spoke to them and received the Money Essentials email but stay firm...try calling the number in my post above. Be warned though - when he answered the phone, it wasn't answered professionally...it was almost like calling a residential landline until he asked me to confirm my name and address..he knew straight away who I was and without even asking why I was calling, he told me the money had been refunded - before I even asked him!

A payment of 89 has been taken from my account without my permission. I would like this refunded ASAP. My contact number is [protected] and that the only contact I have. This has been taken under fraudulent access to my account and details. However you do not hold all correct details for me ie phone number and email address. I want all my details removed at the same time. Would do this by phone if I could get through.

i was unaware when applying for a loan that this company would take the sum of £89 from my account.
I think its a total scam and people should be made aware of this before applying for a loan. if someone like myself has a minimum wage job then they cannot afford for this sum to be taken especially without knowledge. I would like a refund as soon as possible

hi there, im a mum of 4, I apllied for a loan but NOT with ak management, they bought my details from another company! thay took £89 out of my bank and left me with no money for a week. just spoke to someone on the phone he said ill be receiving an email and ive got to reply to it, then my details will be passed on to their refunding team and APPARENTLY should receive a full refund within 30 days. lets see!

I have had the same happen to me.. promised they would phone today, but tried to phone them and the number is now non exsistant.. they steal peoples money on promises of a loan. but all they do is lie. I have contact trading standards.. but i expect nothing will be done.

Complaint 1)

“Fees are taken without consent /authorisation or before they are due”

AK Management do not take fees without consent or authorisation, every customer who is approved by one of our loan consultants is notified that our fee is scheduled for a minimum of one week’s time. Unlike many other Independent credit agents or brokers AK management do not take an upfront fee, the fee is scheduled for a minimum of one week after the initial consultation, this gives all of our customers plenty of time to review their options and receive a loan into their account before a fee is due. During this time it is possible to contact us via telephone, post or email in order to request more loan options or to terminate our service if your situation has changed. Details of how to contact our Customer Services Department can be found on our website or at the bottom of this post. We schedule the fee for between one week and 5 weeks after your initial consultation, although we do not necessarily always deduct the fee during the first week you should anticipate that we will.

Further to this AK Management never request a fee from a person with whom we have not held a telephone consultation with over a recorded phone call. If we have debited a fee from a customer then we will have had a telephone consultation with that individual during which the facts will have been explained carefully and consent granted. We have a strict internal policy regarding this, all consultants at AK Management are subject to constant and ongoing extensive quality control checks which are selected at random throughout the day. We also have in place compliance oversight procedures which require the compliance department to examine each account where an individual has claimed that a fee has been taken despite no consent being given.

Complaint 2)

“I have not spoken to AK
Management but they have taken a fee from me”

Again we only operate via recorded telephone consultations, we only take a fee from individuals who have undergone and have been approved for a loan offer via our recorded consultations. We only have access to bank details which are provided by our customers over this recorded telephone call. AK Management is regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority and various other regulatory bodies. In accordance with our license we are required to submit to all information requests to these bodies, any wilful fraud on our behalf would result in the revocation of our trading license. As a result we have a strict policy in place which makes it impossible to debit a fee from any individual without undergoing a recorded consultation with them. During this consultation the individual in question must indicate they have been actively looking for a loan and agree to our procedures. If we have debited our fee from an individual who does not remember this initial consultation and believes identity fraud of some kind has been committed, you should report this to our customer services department. In the rare instance that the details indicate that identity fraud may have indeed taken place our customer service advisers will refer the account to the Compliance department who will then investigate for any potential fraudulent activity. If we believe that fraudulent activity has taken place we will of course refund the fee in full as soon as possible. However we have found that the overwhelming majority of allegations of identity fraud have not been upheld because the complainant was found to be the one who made the original loan application or because the card was used by a partner or close relation of the cardholder with the cardholder’s knowledge. When an individual enquires about a loan online they are often inundated with offers, phone calls, texts and emails. It is often easy to lose track of which companies you have or haven’t spoken to, which is why at AK Management we always insist that our customers write down our details at the end of the consultation to avoid this situation and unnecessary stress on our customers’ behalf.

Complaint 3)

I have not gone ahead with a loan but I have still been charged a fee

AK Management is an independent credit agent, whilst we maintain a close working relationship with our panel of chosen lenders due to the volume of loan applications we receive it is not always possible to keep track of who has received a loan and who has not. Our fee is scheduled for a minimum of seven days after the initial loan application giving you the customer a minimum of one week to inform us you have chosen not to proceed with a loan or that your situation has changed and that you are either no longer looking for a loan or require more lending options. It is made clear at the end of each consultation that the onus is on the customer to inform AK Management of any change in circumstances, to do this you only need to contact our customer services department by responding to the email we send you or by contacting us via telephone. It is possible to inform us of your decision to withdraw your application via post, however due to the immediacy of email and the telephone it is recommended you contact through one of these two mediums.

Complaint 4)

Payment is taken though the customer has cancelled the request for a loan.

If you decide to cancel the agreement with AK Management all you need to do is contact our customer services team; you can do this over the phone by ringing [protected] between the hours of
9am- 4.30pm Mon-Fri or you can email us at enquiries@moneyessentials.co.uk

We respond to all emails within a maximum of 48 hours, but usually the response time is much sooner. If in the incredibly unlikely event that you did cancel your agreement with us and a payment is still taken all you need to do is contact and explain the situation. We will then search our records for the email/recorded phone call in which you cancelled and refund you.

It is important to note that due to the nature of the way AK Management operate we require you to notify us directly of your decision to cancel, rather than any lenders we have recommended to you.

Complaint 5)

AK Management misleads customers by saying that a fee will only be taken if a suitable loan is found for the customer and paid out.

AK Management is an Independent Credit Agent and not a lender; this is made clear at the beginning of every phone call. This is why we schedule the fee for a minimum of one week after the initial consultation. This gives all our customers at least seven days to obtain the loan and arrange for it to be paid into their account, if there are any problems acquiring a loan our customer services department are available to talk to.

Complaint 7)

AK Management operates a scam.

AK Management is a legitimate business registered here in the UK, fully licensed by the Financial Conduct Authority; we are completely compliant with the law and are subject to the same rules and regulations of any other business operating in the United Kingdom. We appreciate that there is a small percentage of customers who have misunderstood the process, for this we are genuinely sorry but we do work with our customers for a full six months after the initial consultation in order to ensure customer satisfaction.

Dear Chelale,

Our customer services department is now closed, their opening hours are 9am-4:30pm Mon-Fri and as a result they are currently closed. We take a MAXIMUM of 48 working hours to respond to all emails or letters. As explained in our last post our fee is scheduled for a minimum of one week's time after the initial loan application. Receiving a loan is relatively simple, there are instructions and contact details for each of our lenders in the email we sent to you the day you made your application with us, if you have any problems or wish to view more lenders please either email us or contact customer services by phone between 9am and 4:30pm (lunch is between 1pm-2pm) for further help.

I've had the same 89.09 pounds went from my account without authorise I can't believe this is happening I am overdrawn because of this no money to live on I tried to ring them yesterday was told my call was very important to them which they didn't answer after 55 minutes of waiting, I shall be informing the ombudsman

I have been looking for a loan for weeks for £2000 and have been turned down every time due to my credit score so imagine my surprise and joy when I was on my way to work on Tuesday and received a call from al management telling me I had been approved and they just needed my bank details to confirm I had a uk bank account for the money to go into. I didn't have my card details on me so she said she would call back today 12/06/2014 about half 11 for the and so she did but the I began to get suspicious because they claim to be a top profession company yet they kept calling me Sophie even though my name is
Louise. After coming off the phone I decided to research money essetionals and what do I find that they are just another broker not a loan company and I find this website so I immediately emailed ak management and told them that money essetionals weren't given permission to take anything from my account and that ak management was having their consent revoked until I had the loan I applied for processed and in my account and if anything was taken or even attempted the FO would be informed and the transaction listed as fraudulent with my bank who automatically involve the police and that if the truy believe that i am all talk no action then go ahead and try me and speak to vanquis who are now under investigation after I reported them. Less than 5 minutes late I received an email from money essetionals informing me that they were in partnership with ak management and should consider the email confirmation of closure of my account and no payment would be taken. I will be keeping the email as evidence incase they do but my advice guys. These companies don't give a toss if they take your last penny all they care about is making money so threaten them with ever organisation going don't run yours bills up an call because they don't work I speak from experience just bombard them with emails because high quantity at once crashes their systems and provide some sort of exams of when you have taken action against a company that pissed you off. That's all I did threat and example and I had a rey in minutes

i was only looking at a loan website online gave my name bank details and they took 70.00 out of my account iam unemployed and now i have to wait for a new card from my bak and i never agrred to there terms and conditions they just took the money from my account and now loan copamnys keep txting me every morning and nighttime and the same happened to my girlfriend what should i do

This is the first time I heard about this place . I have been charged £89 for something that I didn't sign up for. I don't want to use this place never wanted to and never will. I want a full refund of £89 ASAP as I need that money. I never agreed for them to take my money out of my account and never had a confirmation email or call from them to do so.
