I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding the persistent and serious issues I have experienced with my RAM truck since its purchase. These issues have not only caused significant inconvenience but have also posed a grave safety risk to my family and me. Despite repeated attempts to seek resolution, the responses from RAM have been inadequate and dismissive, further exacerbating the situation.
Initial Issues and Response: A couple of days after purchasing the RAM truck, we began experiencing electronic malfunctions, including automatic gear shifting and sudden display shutdowns. These issues occurred while driving, which raised immediate safety concerns. Despite reporting these problems, RAM dismissed them as minor and refused to replace the vehicle, stating that such issues were common.
Breakdown Incident: Approximately a few months after the purchase, the truck suddenly stopped at a traffic light during peak summer hours. This was an extremely hazardous situation, especially with my daughter in the vehicle and the heavy traffic conditions. RAM’s response to the incident was delayed, and the recovery process was poorly managed, leaving us stranded in scorching heat for over an hour.
Subsequent Issues: During a trip to Saudi Arabia, despite pre-travel servicing, the truck broke down again due to an engine belt failure. We were left stranded for several hours, and despite repeated attempts to contact RAM for assistance, the support provided was inadequate. The truck has then been at the RAM service center for 45 days. Initially, I was promised that the vehicle would be parked in shaded areas, but it was left in an open yard, exposed to extreme temperatures. The parts required for repair have still not been procured, prolonging the inconvenience and causing undue financial and emotional strain on my family.
Current Situation: After the truck was returned following a one-month repair process, we were assured that all issues had been resolved. However, just one month later, the vehicle broke down again without warning, with the brakes, steering, and battery failing simultaneously. My family and I were once again stranded on the road, narrowly avoiding a potentially fatal accident. The truck was towed back to the service center, where it has now been kept for an additional week. Despite claims that the vehicle has been serviced, I have lost all trust in its reliability and safety.
I request an immediate action on this matter. My family’s safety is at risk, and I cannot, in good conscience, continue to use this vehicle. I expect a prompt and satisfactory resolution, including potential replacement of the vehicle or an alternative solution that guarantees our safety and compensates for the numerous hardships we have endured.
