Disarming of g4s bank protection officers / pay reduction

Good afternoon, I am writing this complaint in regards to one of the most complete and total disregards for employee safety and well-being that I have ever seen in my entire life. As you know, Allied Universal has purchased G4S. And as you know, they have recently disarmed the Bank Protection Officers, reduced their pay, and essentially established to all of us that work for G4S as to how they are going to operate moving forward.
On what planet would it ever be acceptable to take grown men and women's lives into your collective hands and further put them into danger by disarming them when standing security outside of one of the most contentious places in the community, a financial facility? I personally stood that job for 2 years before accepting a different contract and can tell you from experience I had just as many hair raising situations outside those banks as I did in South Helmand Province, Afghanistan. People threatening to kill bankers, tellers, clients, guys asking me if I can hold their firearm for them, needles on the streets, people doing drugs in the parking lot, people open carrying into the financial facility, crazy nutjob "1st amendment auditors" showing up taking pictures of my every move for 2-3 hours on end, etc. I mean my first month on the BPO contract I had a man refuse to leave the entrance of the bank until someone killed him! He told me "I aint leaving until you or the cops kill me". What if that man made a run at me with a knife and he was faster than me in a dead sprint? The list is too long to write! How on earth can high level executives be so ignorant of security officers safety and take away from them the ONLY chance of survival when faced with a deadly force situation?
Have we come to a place in the private security realm to where the fear of lawsuits and occasional negligence completely overrides human life? This was purely monetarily motivated by all parties involved at the contract negation tables. There is no other way to put it. Allied Universal should be ashamed of themselves for such an incompetent high level decision.
I did 9 years in the Infantry Marine Corps and never once was I EVER allowed in such a dangerous position without being fully equipped to defend human life. You now not only have guards standing outside with no firearm, you have completely changed their entire tactical response mindset should something violent happen to them, or their clients. Who on earth conceives of something like this? Who comes to the table and says the words "I think it's a good idea to disarm the guards and take a dollar off their overall pay"? Who comes to the table and says "I think this will benefit the employee, the client, and our overall mission with this particular contract."?
Does your own CEO, Steve Jones, not say in the Ethics PDF online "One aspect that never changes is our

Tell me, how on earth does disarming a guard help safeguard the Bank of America contract? Its people that work inside? The customers that do business there? And the financial facility itself? You know how many clients loved the fact we had firearms? Why? Because they said it made them feel safer! Is Allied Universal just pumping out all the right words on paper and not adhering to them in reality? Why should any of us G4S Employees stay around for this kind of reckless abandonment of officer safety?
I demand the CEO himself email all of us to explain this decision to every single G4S employee as to why this benefits the ones actually standing the contract and their clients. Why do all the top level executives get to make such boneheaded decisions and NEVER have to have accountability of this? Did some politically fueled conversation go down in a corporate office along the lines of "guns are scary, guns make people feel unsafe, guns are bad, guns are unnecessary."? Or did one of you say, "We can save so much money by doing this". We you trying to impress Bank of America by your money savings skills? Unbelievable.
I hope you all can sleep at night because if I made a foolish decision like this there would be no way on earth I could sleep or look myself in the mirror. This was complete and total reckless abandonment of common sense.
Loomis has their guards with a Glock pistol, drop holster, and 3 loaded magazines that contain critical defense ammunition. So they escort money all around town, show up to a financial facility, and walk by a G4S guard that has no firearm or any other form of defense. That makes ZERO sense. Why do they have firearms when they only run a truck with two guards in them and G4S does not when they have thousands of people onsite every month? ITS NONSENSE. Cops cant even respond to an incident at a bank as quickly as a guard can that is already onsite.
I hope this complaint reaches the highest level of management possible in the shortest amount of time. I am sick and tired of head offices making these foolish decisions without actually consulting the employees themselves. I demand accountability and reassurance of my personal safety and wellbeing should I ever have to stand that contract again.
Desired outcome: Re-arm and give the pay back immediately
Longs Peak hospital
Allied Universal Security at the Longs Peak Hospital (Longmont Colorado) told my husband he couldn't be seen in the ER unless the officer search his wallet. Security does not have legal rights to search belongings and they do not have the right to say someone can't be seen in the ER. 08/24/2021 at 11:30 am. Talk to manager in security and the officer on the phone hung up on my call. He was very unprofessional in the ER Lobby and on the phone.
Parking lot security
Date 8/21/2021
Time: Between 7:20pm -9:00pm CT
Our vehicle was broken into in the AMC Tech Ridge 9 Movie Theater parking lot in Austin, TX. The truck was in a handicap stall, in direct line of sight of the security officer parked in their pickup truck at the end of the lot. Based on the stalls, the criminals would have had to pull up near the rear of the truck, jump out, smash the window and flee. The vehicle's back window was busted out. Clothes, personal items, a back pack containing wallet with ID credit cards, etc that was under the seat, were stolen. Only the clothing on hangers were visible. One could also assume persons were scouting out vehicles looking in windows.
My complaint is that the way the security guard was positioned, the only way to NOT have seen the crime is if they were not paying attention to activity in the lot or ignored it.
We may reach out for further resolution.
Desired outcome: reprimand, future dash cams, approaching suspicious activity or reporting it.
Unprofessional and lethargic leadership
I submitted a complaint before this year but still nothing has happened. The management is awful. Nothing gets done and they are very lazy. They sit in their office and sleep while patrol men are sitting in the company vehicles with no air conditioning. This is a safety hazard considering the rising temperatures. They are still incredibly unorganized and let the 3rd shift people come late with no consequences. They barely let me have off when my fiancé was in a car accident. They also come in a put in their own hours and sometimes they are not even there. They also are forcing people to stay over everyday even if they cannot. When I say stay over I mean 16 hour shifts. I for one have missed multiple appointments because of this. I understand the policy but this has to be in some violation of labor laws. They expect you to come in the next day and do it again. Then they complain that they are paying too much in overtime but they keep scheduling it. The supervisors never stay over for work either. They aren't even there on weekends. They do not hire the right people for the positions they need. If HR was to come and ask the employees about management they would all have the same response about how terrible it is. They also have unarmed people at armed post which may be in violation of the DoD.

RETALLIATION/ Harrassment
This report is in reference to Allied Universal Decatur, Alabama staff member "Neoma ?" She is over the posts involved. NUCOR, Double Tree by Hilton in Decatur, and a Tissue Plant in Barton Alabama. I was working at NUCOR when I got a better offer from another company making more money. I decided to put in a two week notice with my then Supervisor (Billy ?) and told him I didn't want it set in stone just yet. I had worked 1 week with the other company when I had this discussion with Billy again. He said that I hadn't given him ANY notice. I said ok as of right now I'm giving you a notice but again, I don't want it set in stone. After 1 more week with the other company, I decided I wanted to stay with Allied Universal. I called Billy and told him I wanted to stay and he said ok he didn't see a problem with it that he would call (Neoma ?) and let her know that I wanted to stay. This is where the trouble begins. I looked at ehub on my phone to see if they had scheduled me further. Instead I was taken off the schedule without being notified as the schedule on ehub isn't always right. I called Billy and he said that Neoma had taken me off the schedule. I called Neoma to find out why. She told me that she was not going to send someone to fill a spot and then keep someone who had put in a two week notice. After nicely telling her I had bills to pay and asking what was I supposed to do, Neoma became very rude after me being as nice as is humanly possible. She had ABSOLUTELY NO reason to be so rude to me at all. However, this is something that would continue with any correspondence we had thereafter. She then said she had a position at a local (to her) hotel that she needed filled if I wanted that. I didn't, but I took it to pay my bills. So, she sends me there. After being at the hotel for roughly a month, a position comes open at a Tissue Plant in Barton, Alabama 15 minutes closer to home. It was found in an ad. Instructions were to call the Supervisor Michael Kennedy. So I did. He said I'd have to get in touch with Neoma at the Decatur office. I called Neoma. Again she was very rude telling me I'd have to get in touch with my (Manager) and the (Manager) Supervisor at the plant and get them to approve and handle the transfer. So I got in touch with my Supervisor and told him this. He said I would have to call Neoma to get it approved. I told him I did and she said that he and the other (Manager) would have to oversee that. I had sent Neoma text messages on two occasions when she finally called back. I was asleep, my wife answered the phone. Neoma was also rude to her telling her that again, my supervisor would have to handle the transfer. When I told my supervisor this he said that she was actually over it and he would call and find out what's going on. He said that Neoma said that she wasn't going to move someone that was already assigned to a (manager). I was never told we had (managers) I was led to believe we had supervisors. That's unimportant for now however, Neoma has broken company policy in that every employee has the opportunity to transfer or move up to better themselves and she should not be rude EVER to ANY employee! She also should not retalliate just because someone wanted to try out another job then decide they wanted to stay with the company. If I'd known she was going to put me through this nightmare, I'd probably went with the other company.
Desired outcome: Be transferred to the Barton tissue plant and Apologies for both me and my wife.
Nepotism at a post/site
This is a complaint regarding Eddie Flournoy the post commander at Red Bull in Santa Monica, Ca, and his brother Romeo Washington who also works at the same site. I been working here for a few months now and since i been here, Eddie Flournoy has been causing too many problems at the site which are constant harassments towards selected guards including myself, intimidation, and threats by Eddie. HIs brother Romel Washington, has made so many mistakes at the site to the point where when we bring it up to Eddie, he says "Romel is a respected guard, and dont worry what he does". The moment i have committed a small infractions or any other small mistake, Eddie would bully us to the point, that we fear for out jobs. This is nepotism at its finest here. I tried talking to the office about this problem, but a fellow guard secretly told me that all complaints against Eddie in the past have fallen on deaf ears. There have been many guards in the past that just had enough and quit and some fired for asking too many questions. The only reason i wrote this here, is because other guards referred me here even though it would most likely go unheard. But at least i tried, and Allied Universal needs to be held accountable for negligence, bias, hostile workplace environment, and allowing Nepotism between Eddie Flournoy and his brother Romel Washington.

This company sucks. They buy out their competitors but pays minimum to their employees. Security is a 24/7 job but if you try to contact a manager or supervisor, it never happens. Need a call back or a return text have fun that won't happen.. For minimum wage you are on your own. Take my advice try a another career! Don't work for these crooks.
Service complaint
On plaza located on canola and victory the security of parking lot has approached us on many occasions with the accusation of loitering and demands to leave the premise, without any reason any question if I'm shopping or not which in that plaza the store petco is the main store for my shopping there could be more people in their cars and he doesn't approach them it's a racial harassment I have spoken to the property management but the harassment still continues he went as far to tell his boss that he sees us at night time in the parking lot

This particular incident involving an Allied Universal Employee of which is the Supervisor for the FEDEx Ground Packing warehouse located in St.Petersburg, Fl. Employee involved named "Floyd" active supervisor on duty on said day of 13th month of July, year 2021 morning shift. I've provided a voicemail complaint regarding the sexual harassment forwarded to Human Resources Representative Myla regarding incident.
Incident occurred 07/13/2021 8:30am of which transpired in the security lobby in the glare of security cameras. The security guard has repeatedly tapped my posterior area in accordance to security searches. On said date 13th, July 2021 of which marked the third (3) offense transpired. I repeatedly asked the employee to refrain from the estranged mode of search of which resulted in an verbal altercation and I'm now forwarding a formal complaint as well as advising legal processing.

Security guard
Today my sister went to San Leandro hospital to visit my son. She was confronted by an angry security officer. He told her she couldn't go to visit my son and started pulling and pushing on her. A nurse from the hospital witnessed this all unfold and told him he was wrong. She went to get the administrator and she agreed he was not supposed to put his hands on her fit no reason at all. This guard is a liability to this company. He takes the integrity away from this company. I was also greeted by an African American guard at highland hospital that allowed someone to pass him by and created a security breech. Then started to yell down the hall insults as I walked to the elevator. These types of guards should never be part of a prominent company as such. They are live wires and will cause lots of confusion and lawsuits due to their irrational behaviors. No guard should act as such. It makes the company look bad and can and will cause liabilities that this company don't need.

My paycheck
The last 4 weeks, I am short almost 200hrs. My employee number is 9104957. You own me almost 3000 for the last 4 weeks. Worked 102 hrs and got paid for 8hrs. Worked for 108hrs got paid for 50.75hrs again worked for 102 hrs got paid for 56 hrs. They gave me only 56hrs with 56hrs regular instead of 40hrs regular.
Desired outcome: Pay me my last weeks hours and this year.

I have a site manager named Bhavleen Saggo, he shows bias and uses harassing words when he comes at site. He had a friend working here who used to leave the site at night for 5-6 hrs and he didn't do anything until everyone came to know about that, moreover, one guard mandeep used to sleep at night and was his friend, he used to say him it's ok try to get your sleep pattern better and didn't removed them from the company. But the employees who are working well, he shows bad behaviour to them. He is a person with very much ego, no team management skills, no leadership skills, as a manager he is worthless. He should not be given a position of an employee and I don't know how can he be a manager.

On April 9 2021 we found out that allied lost the contract at the site . Steve Wasyl told us that we would be paid for unused vacation time since we couldn't take it because we didn't have enough people. Then he said the state of Pennsylvania says they don't have to. Also they put out an ad hiring with sign on bonus and when hired 2 people said oh that not for your site and they had a referral bonus that they refused to pay. Also there is alot more unfairness

Operations managers are often friends or relatives of guards they supervise.Often showing favoritism in OT and issues when they arrise.
Officers are poorly informed and mislead on the amount of OT that they're allowed to do.Please send someone to evaluate and speak to guards so we can get the treatment and respect we deserve

Same here when I was working at the west la branch. Friends of friends and family is what ruined that branch office. Eventually I was bumping heads with them and I got kicked out of that branch.

To be Champion National, we the remaining employees, have been treated like scrap by the new administration, there are not enough officers to cover the operation, in compliance with the client contract, we'd been working anywhere from 16 to 18 hrs a day 7. Days a week, to keep the client safe, secured, and happy, all for the benefit of Allied, to prevent a contract forfeited, and lawsuits to Allied, and we don't get our overtime hrs paid, some of us are owed up to 50 hrs from more than a month, past, what are we to Allied Universal? We need our hard earned money paid to us and we need to be treated with the dignity and respect. With the start of this working week, I was unsettled with being notified by my downtown Boston Ma, site security manager, of the sudden directive that this work site will no longer be affiliated for security from Allied Universal Services continuing forward. This proclamation indeed troubles my continuing thoughts most certainly. A week prior & with a feeling of welcome refresh for anticipations employment achieved status contribute with Allied Universal Services, along with long sought coincidently most favorably recognized appreciative employment benefits blessing!

You have Officer Herring at Bayfront Hospital that is Very Rude to the customers. This behavior is uncalled for as he is here to assist with checking in patients and there families. I watched him be rude to several people. As I got closer I was irritated and didn't want to even deal with him. Yet he still was rude with just asking him one question He needs to know that his attitude needs adjusting. I work with several allied officers and it is ridiculous how some of the officers encounter with han beings.

I stop working for Allied Universal because of many reasons like this one. AUS is a big company that don’t care of properly training guards and specially their supervisors. All AUS cares about is having as many accounts as possible and making money.
Post commander in Santa Monica Ca
Through word of mouth I heard about this site and how someone in here posted about Eddie Flournoy, the post commander at Red Bull in Santa Monica. Well i'm here to also write about my horrible experience dealing with this corrupt man. He has done so much workplace violations that I cant post everything at once... but here is a list of the things he has done while I was at Red Bull from 2018 to January 2021.
- Eddie Flournoy admitted to me that he likes to create a workplace toxic environment to keep everyone in check at Red Bull
- Eddie Flournoy admitted to me that he's an "[censored]" and that is part of his job description.
- He is paid by the client to be full time post commander (mon-friday), yet almost the whole time I was there, he never showed up mondays and fridays.
- He intentionally blocked off crucial cameras (cctv) from the building hes in charge off just so the other guards are not watching him. That created a security liability because no other personnel had access to those cameras anymore and left the building exposed.
- He targeted the most experienced guards such as myself because we knew his work ethics were wrong and would confront him about it.
- He harassed almost all the security personnel about certain AUS policies such as uniform, attendance, and COVID-19 protocol, but he violated all those policies himself. He would show up in random JORDAN shoes and jackets that are not part of AUS approved attire. He would call off in less than 4 hours prior to his shift starting and force the graveyard officer to stay on multiple occasions.
Those are just a few examples of the things Eddie has done at RedBULL. By the time I left the place, he has already lost about 4 other experienced guards between October 2020, and January 2020. All those guards including myself, all left because of his hostilities. As of March 2021, he has lost an additional 2 guards including a shift supervisor and another guard is also planning to leave soon. In all, those are 7 guards since October 2020 that left because of him, and all of them had many years working at RedBull. That tells you that we are not the problem, EDDIE FLOURNOY IS. He is a menace to both security over there and the client. The West L. A branch office is aware of all these complaints for the past 2 years and yet nothing is being done about him.
