This complaint revolves around a water intrusion event that occurred under my house. A pressurized supply line sprang a leak, allowing water to spray under the house and upward , toward the underside of the subfloor/ flooring. Not spending time under my house, I of course, did not know of the leak until I noticed moisture evidencing in the house and warping of the hardwood flooring.
I immediately contacted my plumber and had the leak repaired.
I have subsequently filed a claim with Allstate. The claims individual with whom I dealt immediately denied the claim, telling me there was rot under the floor and that the problem had existed for far too long for Allstate to cover the damage.
I asked for a supervisor to review the case and was contacted by a second individual. That person told me to simply take up a small section of the hardwood floor, to demonstrate that there was no rot damage. I did this and additionally supplied a video, demonstrating a solid, albeit soaked, subfloor.
I submitted my further evidence to both individuals and have since contacted them three times, by telephone. Neither of the claims representatives will respond.
I have a fair and honest claim circumstance, but cannot get it resolved through normal business procedure. I am most dissatisfied.
Desired outcome: I need a response and resolution of my claim. I have done all that the claims individuals have told me to do. Now I need Allstate to cover the damage. I need the coverage for which I pay thousands of dollars every year.
