packaging
I opened my box I got from American Eagle in my bedroom and I started unwrapping everything. When I looked back at the box, little cockroaches started running everywhere and they were in the bags the clothes were wrapped in as well. This is disgusting and I am extremely upset with American Eagle as well as the fact that I'm going to have to pay for someone to come spray my house now.
shipping service
I got an email from AE saying my package was out for delivery yesterday. Yesterday came and went. No package. I wait for it today. Check the status this evening and it says notice left no safe place to leave the package. There was NO notice, I was home all day, and we have a front and back porch that is safe. No one came by. So they lied and my package was yet again NOT delivered. I will not be ordering from AE anymore. It was shipped with Ups and then sent to USPS who always messes up deliveries. When the company decides to stick with ups I may order with them again. I will also be returning what I ordered whenever the hell they decide to deliver it.
khaki super stretch jeggings
As a tall girl, it is extremely difficult for me to find a pair of pants that fit well. Last year, I tried on the super stretch khaki jeggings and instantly fell in love. They fit perfectly. However when ordering the exact same size (10 long)this year, they came at a different length. Instead of being long, they look rather short though the tag says otherwise. When hold them up to the pants from last year, you can see the difference in length. They do not fit correctly and I believe there might've been a mistake. I am disappointed by the pants.
customer service
On Monday, September 2nd 2019 I was in the American Eagle store located in Carolina Mall in Concord North Carolina. From the time we entered the store no one acknowledged us and no one gave us any assistance. When we finally chose items we were going to purchase and went to the register the girl at the register and a manager were having a conversation and never acknowledged us standing there. I finally had to ask them if this is where I pay for my items. The girl at the register said yes and then continued folding clothes. When she finally finished and begin to ring up my items she was not very friendly at all. I will never... And I mean never shop at this location! If I did not have my son with me I would not have purchased anything. As a black woman I can't help but feel this why I was treated so rudely!
manager angela pepper
I am writing to complain about a manager that refused to give me my military discount. Her name is Angela Pepper in the Midlothian VA, Chesterfield town center store.
I do not carry my husbands ID but I do carry his Discharge papers with me. ANd I was paying with my USAA card. SHe not only was rude but refused to honor the discount because I didnt have his ID. Why would I carry his ID? I am married to him. Does this mean that he has to do all the kids clothes shopping? I carry a AEO credit card as well but from this point on, I refuse to shop there. I left my items and walked out. My husband then called her to talk to her and she was just as rude and told him she is not giving us the 10% discount for serving her country. He wanted to jump through the phone. These service men and women are the reason you get a choice to work in a retail store you dumb [censored].
My husband is a Marine and will always be an Marine .
I want my discount and I want Angela to be put in her place as to why she has freedom. ANd I hope her rudeness and sense of "power" made her feel good.

i’m complaining on how they treated us and their rude tone
I got a pair of jeans Off the clearance rack and there were other pairs of them in different sizes on there too for 29.99 when I went to buy them they rank up full Price off the clearance rack and there were other pairs of them even though there was no sticker the workers told us very rudely and told us that they were not from the clearance. I did not enjoy the way that they talked to me and my friends.
american eagle
I bough this shirt a couple of weeks ago and have worn it 2 times. The first time, I washed it on cold with like colors. The second, it came out as you will see in the picture below. I did nothing different but it looks like it has big bleach splotches all over the front. I like the shirt and would love to have a replacement for this item if possible.
american eagle active & extreme flex young mens jeans
I am reaching out in reference to a pair of AE Jeans that I bought for my son in the past 6 months. Both pairs of jeans now have identical vertical tears next to the pockets in the rear of the jeans. The size of the jeans was not an issue, (30 x30) as my son has a thin, athletic build, and was fitted for these jeans by associates in the AE store in Moorestown, NJ. After noticing that the Active Flex jeans had a tear in them, I assumed it was simply a fluke, but after his Extreme Flex pair tore in precisely the same location, I felt it might be more of a design issue with the jeans. I would like to either be refunded for the price of these jeans, or receive some type of voucher to replace them, as I feel these particular items have not lived up to the normal quality that my family has grown to appreciate from your company. I've attached pictures of the jeans to show you the tears in each pair.
Please let me know any other information I can provide to help resolve this issue?

payment
I work in aerie and my complaint is I got paid way less than last time. Which is 152$ when I worked 5 days even closings which is more hours. I work in part time. My last payment was 214$ and I worked 2 days and it doesn't make sense. I would round my hours to about 20 hrs and got paid 152$. It's not fair, I've been working my [censored] off and get way less that I got last time.
unethical behavior
During the VERY short time I spent inside of the American Eagle at Summit Mall, I overheard the manager (I believe her name is Chelsea), refer to two black associates as "Monkeys" to another white manager, and if that weren't bad enough, she directly berated one of the associates she was talking about and I was in shock when she said "I'm not sure what i...

I was shopping at my local AE I was not greeted, I was not given any eye contact but I was close enough to read the two workers in the stores names on the tags. I was standing back towards the fitting rooms there was no one else in the store when I was doing this. And neither the floor manger or the associate came to help me. I walked up to the associate...

I was shopping on a Tuesday afternoon and the only customer in the store. I politely declined assistance as I was simply browsing to kill time before another appointment. After looking at a pair of pants I dropped it and the security tag bounced off. I promptly picked it up and put it back on- I've worked retail before and know it's polite to put thing...

service complaint
There were items on a table which had a sign marked $7.99. An associate said that $7.99 was the correct price. When we got to the register, the manager said that the items were not $7.99 and when we explained that to her she did not honor the $7.99 price! Good customer service would honor the price and then make the correction later! We will never shop at this outlet location!

After buying a pair of your black high-waisted tie waist linen shorts about 2 weeks ago, I put them on for the second time and the butt of the pants ripped in multiple areas. I went to the Windsor store where I bought them and informed a female employee about my situation. She told me that the reason they ripped was my fault, that I was much too big for the...

I have a complaint on Taylor the acting store manager when I was there at 6:30 pm on 6/20/19. My daughter attempted to purchase a kimono robe in the clearance portion of the back of the store. There were several kimonos only hanging on a rack on the back of wall and the sign directly on the rack said "30% off bralettes". When we got up to the counter she my daughter was told by the man ringing her up that they were full price. The girl "Taylor" came over and said no it is 30% off the bralettes. I said well it in on a rack full of kimonos and doesn't say bralettes. The so called manager - Taylor just walked off without speaking to us further. I then told the guy that they need to correct that and he agreed and said that they were in the wrong place. After getting in to my car, my daughter and I discussed how unhelpful Taylor was. She then proceeded to tell me she was rude to her when she asked for a dressing room. She told my daughter rudely that she was on break. She then huffed and let her in. I then went back in the store to get her name. I walked up to her and asked her if she told my daughter she was on break when she needed a dressing room. She said yes she told her she was on break and she had to go put her cigarettes down to go open for her. I asked her why did she feel the need to tell her she was on break and be rude about it. She LAUGHED AT ME. I told her I would go to counter and get her info and she then followed me and said she would get it for me. I told her how unprofessional she was to laugh at me and it wasn't funny. She said she didn't know what my problem was and that the sign was for bralettes. I asked her where were the bralettes then? She then said what did I want her to do- bring her cigarettes to the dressing room with my daughter? I told her how ridiculous this sounded. She just didn't get it and how rude she was. She then told me she wasn't giving me her name and she was calling security. I told her to call them and they would give me her name. She then gave me her name with shoving her name tag in my face. I walked to the door and she yelled "GET OUT OF MY STORE". Is this how they train their managers?
employees / customer service
So today on june 15, 2019 me and my sisters walk into the store and were looking at the clothing and another customer was walking out and the alarm went off and we were away from the door yet the person working there told us to be honest y'all need to just get out of our way while telling the other customer she's good to go? Read full review of American Eagle Outfittersmanagement disrespecting employee and potential employees
I am a former employee of an Aerie. Aerie's message is be yourself and be body positive. I got a job at Aerie after the store i was previously working at was closed. I got the job almost immediately and told my friends who were in need of a job to apply. 2 of the girls I worked with at my previous store looked more alternative rather than clean cut. Aerie continuously hired other girls who fit into their definition of "pretty", despite their very own message about being "aerie real". My friends were denied of a job because of the way they looked. Aerie missed out on having 3 hard working and reliable employees, my two friends and myself. I quit this job after I felt disrespected and lied to about scheduling. They NEVER put me on the schedule but kept hiring new people to take my hours. I then got a another job so I could make enough money to live off of. After I informed Aerie management about my new job, they treated me as if I had traded them.
Black Friday rolls around and my new job asks me to work thanksgiving night and black friday. I tell them yes because Aerie had not been consistently scheduling me for a few weeks. After a few days i shockingly get a few hours at Aerie. While i'm there the store manager asks if I can work Thanksgiving night and Black friday. I tell her that I've already told my other job that I will be there for them, and she says to me, "So you basically told them to kiss my [censored]". That was my last shift. After a month of maybe getting 24 hours THE ENTIRE MONTH, i was DONE. I am a very hard worker and would do anything they asked of me including trying to go through the maze of a back room they had and almost injuring myself multiple times trying to reach the very top shelf with a huge box of over priced bras. Never once did I treat them badly or disrespect anyone that worked there. I think it comes down to catty women. At the time I worked there I was 19. My store manager was in her 30's. I am not going to tell all the details of what they had said to me and how they treated me out of respect that i shouldn't even have for them. I am truly disgusted in how your company is letting management treat their employees or potential employees. Disgusted.
customer service-gift receipt
On June 13 I was shopping at the American Eagle Store at Carolina Mall in Concord, NC. After waiting in line for quite awhile another register opened and I was called over. After the clerk got my information for reward card I indicated to her that I needed a gift receipt. She hurriedly reply to me was "Oh! No problem." At the complete of my transaction I asked for my gift receipt and she said "Oh" and looked confused. She told me I'd have to wait for the girl on the other register. I overheard her telling my clerk she needed to process the gift receipt prior to the end of the transaction. She brought her key over and started banging on the register and said she couldn't get it on that register. She called over another clerk who indicated she could get it on another register. She printed the receipt out and said it works just like a gift receipt because they can pull up the transaction. I went home and the next day proceeded to wrap the gift pulled out the receipt and it was a duplicate of my receipt with all of the prices. This puts me in a very awkward situation since it's a gift and I'm not sure if the sizes. I spent $117.54 on three items-one was cologne. The service was absolutely horrid and no one acknowledged the errors that caused so much unnecessary time. And then to find out it was still not right was "very" disappointing.
Sincerely,
Deborah Ayers

shorts
I had ordered two shorts through your online system to in which I had returned the shorts due to them being larger then expected. I went to the store and took a 40 minute drive to get the correct size. We were charged for both shorts and only received one pair. When I called the store the manager on duty was rude and unprofessional. She failed to give me an update and said I needed to drive there to replace the order and pay for a delivery fee. We are loyal customers and the experience we had with her was unprofessional and upsetting. We want out shorts and a refund. This is ridiculous and should be resolved immediately not when people from your corporation feel like it
