Violation of privacy of aol mail agent
In sending financial documents to [protected]@gmail.com, aol chopped the name after the dr and added the aol domain name. Thus my documents were sent erroneously to dr@aol.com. I wrote to dr@aol.com asking to delete the documents but I did not receive a response.
aol committed a grave and possibly costly error.
Is your board able to find out if dr@aol.com has my documents from [protected]@aol.com. If the documents have not been opened, if may be possible for aol to delete them at the dr@aol.address.
I am at a loss of what to do. Please help or advise.
Sincerely,
Paul Gilon
Desired outcome: aol deleting my documents at dr@aol.com or letting me know if the documents have been opened. If so, I will have to change my bank and related businesses.
Unethical Behaviour On Aols Part
Aol Won't let me comment on news articles anymore since May. Nothing I say or have said is in anyway offensive. They won't even let me post a simple " lol" Tired of every comment I make getting rejected for NO reason what-so-ever when people curse and are offensive and are still allowed to comment. This is complete and utter nonsense and Aol needs to stop this once and for all!
Desired outcome: Being able to comment again without rejection.
i'm blocked permanently, too truthful and honest, it's a violation of free speech, boycott aol's sponsers and advertisers, class action lawsuit is in order too
AOL has been totally censoring my comments for twenty five years. I kid you not. Total censorhip at its best. I've written them thousands of feedback to no avail. AOL either ignores you or blames you for their problems.
You're not alone. On August 1, 2021 the AOL moderators simply started rejecting every comment I posted and I, too, have never done anything against their guidelines and rules. I've had my AOL email account for 30 years and I'm "offended" by this kind of censorship when they hypocritically claim to "welcome your comments." I made one comment by going to the "feedback" site at the bottom of a comment page and now I've even been blocked from using that. The fact that this is so unfair to people like me who are polite while allowing hostile and vulgar posts constantly by others is what bothers me the most.
I have the same problem. Also a member for 30 years. So what is the solution? Has anyone been able to find the root of the problem?
AOL rejects everything I say. I made a simple statement that there is a First Amendment and it rejected that too.
AOL rejects everything I say. I made a simple statement that there is a First Amendment and it rejected that too.
Viewers agree you can't trust this News Anchor
Disgusting story - with Rachel Maddow, a true journalist, right on the cover.
You don't name the false divisive spewing likes of Tucker Carlson, Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham
If this is an "ad" - you should not allow/promote this type of ADVERTISEMENT. IT APPEARS LIKE REAL NEWS.
TOTALLY DISGUSTED WITH AOL
Desired outcome: NEVER PRINT ADS / STORIES LIKE THIS
Dishonest disgusting biased news reporting makes me sick daily
AOL News is clearly biased towards liberals/Democrats and against conservatives/Republicans.
AOL now reports on False News stories mostly against Biden. Where was this AOL Reporting on fake news when President Trump was in office, crickets…. AOL promoted fake news stories against President Trump almost daily. AOL promoted the story that PResident Trump said to during disinfectant to fight off Covid knowing this was no True. AOL is failing to report on All of Bidens failures as a pretend Idiot Dementia Patient pretend President. Where are the true stories on AOL about Idiot Biden's failed border crisis that worsens by the day…. AOL Crickets… Where are the AOL news stories about the horrific conditions in Afghanistan after Biden's failed attempts to leave Afghanistan in a professional and courageous way.
Desired outcome: AOL needs to report honestly, unbiased and actual news for both sides Democrats and Republicans
Unable to comment on news feeds
I have been unable to comment on any AOL news feeds for months now, for no apparent reason. I write a comment but it always gets "rejected", even if I just type in "test" or another innocuous comment/word.
Desired outcome: Please fix this issue it so I can make comments to news feeds and other comments. This has been going on for about three months or so now.
Billing / refund
I was informed Thursday by one of your technicians that the System Mechanic we've been paying for since 07/18 had never been installed. Your technician installed it on my machine 09/09/21. I then realized it was not on my husband's computer, so I called yesterday, 09/10/21, and your technician installed it on my husband's machine yesterday. I informed the technician that I would like a refund for the 38 months I had been paying for it and never had it. I was transferred to the billing dept. and was told they would let me have one month free, $4.99. I said that was not acceptable and asked for a supervisor who, surprisingly was busy and would call me back. Of course, I never received a call. This morning I had to call tech support because we couldn't get on my husband's computer. The technician walked us through it and also informed us the Tech Fortress that we had been paying for since 06/20 had never been installed. We have been your customer for over 20 years and this is not the way we should be treated. We are in our 70's and our only income is our Social Security. We trusted you.
Desired outcome: A refund for all the months we have been paying for System Mechanic and Tech Fortress.
AOL comments blocked
I am being blocked for factual comments on Ivermectin that are found on the NIH.ORG site. This is a week now.
Repeated attempts to comment have been blocked for severl days.
Desired outcome: UJn block my account and allow freedom of speech
aol is in bed with big pharma and the dems, they don't want covid cures, the want you to take the poison experimental jab, many people have died needlessly from not receiving cures like ivermectin and hcq, the whole lot of them have blood on their hands, it's beyond sickening
technical support on an email problem with verizon.net - agent hung up on me.
Look, I have been calling 4 times for help with sending our email on my verizon.net account. previously your agent helped me get by AOL's abrupt and disabling arrogantly installed, security which cut me off from my email which I use for business. However, after we got my email to receive, once having obtained a specially generated password, I soon found out I could not send mail out. on my first call back I was impressed how hard an effort was put in to get my outgoing mail actually being sent, but to no resolution. He just couldn't get it to work. So I was to be transferred to a technical expert. He then put me on a line but I was holding for an extensive period of time when my wife had a matter which required us to go out and I hung up. Thereafter, I have called back to get your agents, one at a time, Peter, Caye and Jessie, to transfer me. Instead of being transferred, the phone line went to a dial tone as I was hung up on. My case number is [protected]. I just want to get through to someone who will get me able to send mail out.
Gerald A. Dienst, Esq., 1517 Burr Oak Road, Toms River, NJ 08755, Tel.: [protected], email: gerald.[protected]@verizon.net, alternate email: [protected]@Comcast.net.
Desired outcome: Get to talk with an adequately experienced Tech Expert who will resolve my issue.
AOL and its CEO are a Communist Organization which denies Free Speech
I sent the following to the Aol Feedback Line. it will do nothing. I am looking for the AOL CEO's email.
AOL and its CEO are a Communist Organization which denies Free Speech
I would like the removal of today's 9/02/2021 for denial of my free speech. This moderator is appalling. This person rejected my Wall Street Journal Post on the Taliban selling confiscated equipment to Iran. WSJ is a left-leaning Organization. This is not the first time, this moderator has even rejected an AOL Article. IMO, you are operating a Communist site as you do not allow me to dispute any rejection.
Desired outcome: The Removal of the Moderator
can't post comments for about a month now
For some undisclosed reason when I try to post anything to a article i get the same message:
"Your comment has been rejected - Your comment has been rejected as it does not align with our Community Guidelines."
I did not violate any posting rules of AOL that i know of so. Even if I say "I agree" to a comment it get rejected. Why and for what reason and please be specific if there is a reason.
I have been posting for about 10 years and now for some reason everything is rejected
I have seen and read many post that are very vile about republican politicians or people. Many posts are a lot worse than what I ever posted and say a lot worse than I ever did and I see they are still posting
Thank You
Desired outcome: be allow to post comments again or tell me exactly what it was that violated a AOL posting rule
i get that same message too and my comments are truthful. i guess aol and the minions hates and can't handle the truth because it destroys their liberal narrative.
i have been muted .....why, at least you could let a person know . and for how long
why was i muted
Moderators rejections
The Moderator blocking my post as redundant while allowing the liberal Lucyfire to trigger people with her redundant Post. Hey, Freedom is Reach, I fought for your right to reject me. Where did you fight? Imo, the AOL moderator protects the liberal writers but refuses me. Liberal probably working for Media Matters attempt to trigger anyone that they disagree with in an attempt to get me to make inappropriate statements. When I enter redundant post they are reject and I am allowed to post to the entire article.
Desired outcome: The Removal of the Moderator
aol comments
For some reason aol is blocking me from making comments and if I said something inapproate I apologize and will adhere more to their rules better. I have been on AOL for over 25 years and always thought that I was following the rules and a lot of the comments I have seen seem to be a lot more out of line than I thought mine were.
Desired outcome: Allow comments
Everyone of my comments rejected
Every time for 3 months now whenever I comment on AOL It's always rejected. Even if I send a " lol" it's still rejected. I follow and always have the guild lines. As far as I am concerned this is harassment . I'm sick and tired of AOL censoring what they want and do NOT follow their own rules! Something needs to be done asap about this as I am not the ONLY person this is happening to.
Desired outcome: I want to be able to voice my opinion again without a simple comment being rejected.
Commenting on stories of the day
This issue probably started around August 8, 2021, maybe a little earlier
I have been with AOL for probably 20+ years, and Never had a problem with making comments on the website, to their 'stories of the Day'. Now suddenly and without warning, I have been completely BANNED from commenting at all! By the way, I PAY to have AOL on my P.C.; and commenting to "stories of the day" is part of AOL. I understand them maybe 'rejecting' a comment here or there...but to Ban Anyone Completely and Forever? IN THIS CASE, it's ME they are doing it to, and it is NOT okay! Where is our right to "Freedom of Speech? I WANT MINE BACK! I am a law-abiding Citizen, always have been, and I know my Rights! I Pay to be on AOL, and to read those 'stories of the day'; and making comments about those articles, comes along with it.
I am a good, decent human being...an elderly lady in the throes of early onset Dementia. Reading the articles and replying to other people's comments keeps me going and my brain engaged. I always try to be respectful of others, even those who have differing opinions from mine.
When commenting to other people, we often use the word "you" not necessarily in a bad way, but AOL automatically assumes when I USE the word "you", that I'm talking bad about the previous person's comments; even if the word is meant as a 'generalization'. For example, If I respond to the previous comment made by someone by saying: 'You' do know that 'so and so' didn't get a college degree', they would reject my comment. But when others do the same thing, THEY don't get rejected! But NOW, I have been banned for Life, for no real reason I can think of. I'm fairly certain that the people rejecting and banning myself and Others, are in another Country, and that English may not be their first Language. All I know is that I need this, and it's part and parcel of AOL, since their name is at the top of the comments' page. THEY therefore, are "running the show'. Please help me get my voice back. "Rejecting" a comment here or there is one thing, But Banning someone for Life is something completely different. I've seen and read so many truly ugly, hateful comments made by others, who NEVER get rejected, let alone banned! I don't understand!
I called AOL, but of course they said there was NOTHING they could do about it...Really? They are the entity that puts these things on their website.
I HAVE to add this: There is a guy who often comments on this same AOL website who uses 'filthy' words (names re: women) not only as his 'Username" on AOL, but then continues to use those same 'filthy' words throughout his comments. And his comments are always filled with emojis and other junk stuff...I guess so we will overlook his filthy words. It's IMPOSSIBLE NOT to see the words. He's fooling no one but the Censors; who allow ALL of HIS comments through! HIS comments are NEVER even 'rejected' by AOL, let alone PERMANENTLY Banned, as he should be; but I have been banned for Life, and I don't use bad words. Something is NOT right here! How is it possible that these people who do the 'rejecting' and 'banning, ' even if English is NOT their first language, don't know 'filthy' words when they see them, and Ban THAT guy?
Desired outcome: I want my voice back, and to NOT be permanently banned from AOL's comments website!
Community conversation
AOL is blocking/rejecting any and all comments I send. I have not been giving a specific reason for this censorship. I follow their guidelines and never use foul language or profanity. I do disagree with many of their far left leaning stories and attacks on conservative life style and conservative points of you. It seems disagreeing with their liberal slant is cause for my censorship.
Desired outcome: To be able to have my comments posted without censorship.
Well, I am liberal and I've been dinged. Just a few mins ago, I made a comment concerning drinking & eating during church services. I got "red-lined" and asked if I was sure I wanted it posted, that there was language that was offensive. So, I checked each category and what I said DID NOT fit in any of them. I didn't curse, nor insult or attack anyone for their comments. In fact, most of us were on the same page. I didn't even state my religious affiliation as a few did. The frustrating thing is, they make sure you can't connect with them and they don't tell you what the "offensive language" was.
Suddenly my comments/post were not allowed.
I can not comment on anyone's post in the 'comment sections'. I can vote 'up or down' but comments are declined. Happened about 3 months ago and I am surprised there is no recourse or information.
I've been an AOL member for 20+ years.
If I have done something wrong, explain (examples) and tell me. I will, can, would correct it.
I really don't want to go to another server-BUT I will if this is how you treat a very long using customer.
Do you use an algorithm to determine or one individual who is having a bad day?
Just flip a 'button' and allow me back.
Desired outcome: Allow me back to commenting and posting in the 'comments' sections.
Same exact thing happening to me after 26 years with them ! Thumbs Up or Down, but every reply immediately rejected...
Agree.
My comments are always blocked
Hi guys, All of my comments are rejected no matter how innocent in script they are. I love to make comments and try my best to follow your rules.
Did I at one time say something bad? During this deadly pandemic people need to know that vaccines have saved our butt many times over the decades... many more will die if we don't convince others that it's important to get the shots because it WORKS!
Anyway... please let me comment or let me know what I need to do to fix the issue.
Thanks, Viki
Desired outcome: let me make comments on news stories
AOL news reporting, the continuing lies they print, and their bias.
Right here on this page, aol claims that they find resolutions for folks' complaints! Ha! What a joke... But it's not unexpected. How did aol solve the problem with their targeted "cancelations" of our conservative bloggers' posts on aol's news feature? They simply stopped offering us the opportunity to express our opinions!
"take your ball and go home... Right, aol?"
Bottom line? I thank you creepy folks at aol for being so biased and left-leaning! There are now multiple new sources where we can share the truth and urge americans to reject aol's socialist/communist/marxist agenda.
Desired outcome: TO MAKE MYSELF FEEL BETTER ABOUT MY PATRIOTISM FOR MY COUNTRY!
News
The American people aren't stupid. The Presidential Election was stolen by Corporate America. All the Fake News and slanted stories turned people against Trump. Yea, Trump is obnoxious and crude, but he is a business man and worked for the American People. This piece of sh__ we have now is killing the American Dream. Are you happy Corporate America? AOL should report the news and not distort the (so called) news.
The Only thing he worked for is himself. The American people voted, and the election wasn't stolen. If you and others actually think it was then show the proof. But you can't! Only thing fake is you people who believe in was.
