First, let me say that my heart goes out to anyone who is undergoing this problem. Keep the faith, there is light at the end of what can be a long tunnel. Most often water intrusion results in inconvenience and costly repairs. There are many exasperating moments in the home restoration process. Water extraction, drywall repair, reorganization your home, and occasionally dealing with unscrupulous people. It can be a daunting task. Dealing with insurance companies is yet another hurdle that must be cleared. The combination of these factors can result in high anxiety. Factoring in all of the aforementioned scenarios, the very worst part of my experience by far, was my selection of Art Plumbing and Electric to replace my copper pipes Should you choose the services of Art Plumbing and Electric for your plumbing needs be sure to research the company thoroughly and ask them to clearly define what constitutes a “total copper pipe replacement”. I didn’t and my lack of due diligence was to my detriment. This communication is a brief synopsis of my experience with the company, hopefully, yours was or will be different. To begin, there were several instances of misrepresentation of the truth on their behalf. On one occasion, a company representative informed me that a technician had been dispatched to my home to complete an assessment of problems with a specific phase of the project. Guard gate personnel and home cameras show no documentation of the visit. The next promise for service just simply didn’t occur. Both an email and text message sent by an Art Plumbing representative indicated that repeated attempts to contact me via text messages, voice mail and email were ignored. There was absolutely no record of these communications. The company was not able to provide information supporting the alleged contacts. I was initially informed that

Art AC explained the differences and the long term results that would be expected. They did not try to pressure me into extensive extra work. They let us decide on the final system replacement. They came exactly when they scheduled and performed professionally. They "up front" information did not change and we are happy with the results. They have also followed up afterwards to make sure everything is functioning correctly.

This this the second time that i have used this company for 2 different problems and they have been great. Great prices. Very friendly, knowledgeable, professional,. I highly recommend this company to everyone. They save me with a pluming issue that i had an emergency. Thank god for them. I had no else to help me my regular air conditioning / pluming guy disappeared on me and couldn't find him anywhere and i have a contract with him. So thank god for Art Pluming. Our home had been without air conditioning for two days before I called Art Plumbing. Service was scheduled for the same day! I was delighted, as another company had said it would take a week to come to the home. The technician, John, was professional in his manner, and explained patiently what seemed to be the problem and the options available to fix the air conditioner. He worked for hours in hot, humid conditions to install a needed part and went above and beyond to investigate another issue with the display pad. He is quite knowledgeable and a pleasure to deal with. I highly recommend him as a skilled technician and an asset to his profession.
ART Plumbing completed three plumbing projects totaling $39,000 and in each case, the projects were completed on time and passed inspection without issue. Great customer service. I now use ART for all my HVAC needs as well. Outstanding!

This Family owned 3 generation company does fantastic work! They are honest, hard working and the stand behind the work that they do. As you know in Florida you can get taken because of the transient nature of our state, this is a company that you can trust. They call and confirm there arrival time, they will send you a text or email with the a picture of the technician that is on there way and a introduction to the person that is coming. They follow up with more info on the issue found and how you were treated during the appointment. Who does that? Who cares that much anymore? Art Plumbing does, that's who! I can not say enough great things about them!

These guys are great and very attentive to detail. Dj, *** and *** all came to my luxury condo in where the toilet had a clog in the pipes in the wall. Had maintenance *** it and they even changed the toilet to a new one. Art plumbing came and detected the problem right away, what was needed with no nonsense. Dj, *** and *** all knew how clean I keep my apartment and they made sure to cover the floors and any service that could get wet. They even made sure all the bathroom floor was clean and wiped. They left the work area perfect. I am very happy with the men that work for this company. The work was A+ but cleaning up which many don't do they did perfect. I knew my nearly 18 year old unit needed replacing, and he helped me make the decision to do so, in a very professional way. I did not feel pressure and he answered all my questions to where I felt like this was the right time for this purchase. I was scheduled for installation, and Robert was the installer. Again, another well-versed, well-mannered representative of the company. I now consider myself a customer and will be using Art for my plumbing, electrical, and AC service. The company is clearly doing something right to satisfy my high standards of customer service. Thank you, Art Plumbing; it is truly appreciated!

From the great customer service with my initial call, it was easy to get a timely, same-day appointment, and they arrived at my residence within 1-hour of my call.
I had FANTASTIC home repair service from technician James M. He was timely and extremely respectful of my home environment with the wearing of shoe coverings and a mask. He was very knowledgeable and thorough in his explanations, taking the time to show me what was needed, and what work he did. His visit as a work professional was by far, one of my best in-home repair services that I have ever had!

Called to have my kitchen faucet replaced
Called to have my kitchen faucet replaced. The tech arrived, inspected the leaking faucet. First thing she did, she tried to up sell water damage/restoration company to fix the inside of the cabinet. I didnt ask for it, i called for plumbing service. May be if she completed the work and prior to departing, perhaps could suggest, but while i am trying solve my water leak problem and she tries to up sell probably the sister company. That is not professional. I did not solicit her opinion. She then proceeded with an estimate to remove the leaking single hole sprayer faucet and replace it with a builder grade cheap plastic grade of the same type for $841 on top of the $89 service call they charged to come over, for grand total of $930. I asked how much is the labor and she said $541. For 50 minutes of work, that's how long it took for my plumber to swap the fixtures. You decide for yourself. This is called *** the customer not doing business. I am a mechanical engineer with 40 years of experience in general contracting and construction. I know what is reasonable and what is ridiculous. This was ridiculous. Needless to say, i declined. So, the next day i purchased the same type, but a much better brand DELTA from *** for $95 plus 2 new valves for $20 and hired a local plumbing company that charged $100 for labor for total of $215 vs. $930. That is $715 of pure greed.

I contacted Art Plumbing, AC,& Electric, and consider myself to be lucky to have James Matthews dispatched to my home. From the moment he arrived in his truck which was stocked with what seemed like every tool and solution to any plumbing issue that you could imagine. He was courteous, professional and showed the utmost respect for my home. He was extremely patient, taking the time, to not only tell me what he needed to do, but also to answer every one of my questions without hesitation. He discussed the whole process of what steps he would take to diagnose the problem, provide an accurate estimate, and complete the work that needed to be done. As it turned out, it was my main drain that had the major issue. Roots had grown and spread inside the pipes. James showed me the photos after he cleared the lines and I was sort of shocked but relieved because James was able to not only clear the main drain, when he left, all of my drains flowed more freely than I could remember. I cannot say enough about the service that James was able to provide. I would not hesitate to recommend James and Art Plumbing to anyone with plumbing issues. I purchased a brand new, higher end American Standard unit with *** a few years ago. Installation was poor and had to be re-installed at certain times during the afternoon. Since installation, I have had nothing but issues with this unit.
Most recently, the 4 year old motor had to be replaced because despite all of my calls, noting likely motor issues, and incomplete annual maintenance checks, the "seasoned" HVAC techs refused to check the motor. In fact, in Sept, the HVAC tech said the unit was wired wrong (so he fixed it) and the fan was set to the max speed, so the motor was running in overdrive since the unit was installed.
Upon receiving the invoice, I called my Service Partner Plan Coordinator, inquiring if *** would split this astronomically high invoice, so as to hold *** accountable for their shortcomings and lack of proper inspection of the system. I was informed the owner would call me back to discuss, to which he never did. My HVAC tech was able to get him on the line, he refused to even meet me halfway, and spoke lies as it related to my invoice (which was in black & white, in my face). He also wouldn't provide me with my warranty after stating I wanted it to take my business elsewhere.
This was the straw that broke the camel's back. *** has lost a very loyal customer! I'd advise all others looking for HVAC services to look elsewhere.

I am a responsible and caring landlady and was worried about my tenants A/C not working in 95 degree heat three weeks ago
I am a responsible and caring landlady and was worried about my tenants A/C not working in 95 degree heat three weeks ago. I phoned this company and it was a complete disaster that involved 3 visits without repair. The same inept technician was sent twice and was never able to diagnose the problem. He reprogrammed the thermostat and replaced a capacitor. He admitted that he didn't know if that would solve the problem at the end of the second visit. The following day, the A/C was still broken. I phoned the company and requested a more experienced technician considering that the first visit was $329 and the second was $354 and that my tenant's A/C was still broken. The third day, a different and more experienced technician was sent. Upon arrival he diagnosed the problem to be the compressor and said that the unit needed to be replaced. When I asked how soon the unit could be changed, their answer was 6 days and the estimate I received was $6200. I phoned a different company and a new A/C was installed the very next day for $1000 less! I then phoned ARTPlumbing requesting a refund for the two first visits and after getting the runaround, they refunded only the $354 from the second visit. This whole series of transactions caused me much grief in light of having unhappy tenants due to the lack of A/C and the many visits into their unit which were unnecessary especially during a pandemic. Had an experienced technician come first, the problem would have been properly diagnosed. In light of all of the disturbances to be fair, I should have only been charged the fee for one service call. I feel that I've been taken advantage of and highly discourage anyone from using this company.

I had a problem with a broken water pipe and called to have them come out and find and turn the water off at the meter
The service man arrived and after about 20 minutes was able to stop the water leak and then went back to his truck and started writing me an estimate to repair the break
I have had a lot of experience with PVC pipe as I was 35 years in business and did landscaping and irrigation work

After about 10 minutes at his truck he knocked on my front door and showed me an estimate in excess of $700 to repair $10 worth of PVC pipe
Evidently he saw i live comfortably and tried to take advantage of my age and I guess he figured that I knew nothing about the repair
I told him to leave my property and offered to pay for his time and told him a few kind words as you can imagine
When I called the office originally I told them I had an emergency as water was pouring out of the broken pipe
The dispatcher told me it would be $59 emergency call to come out and then per hour for his labor
He charged me over $200 to come out and simply turn my water meter off
I paid and then went to Home Depot and spent $7.95 for the parts to repair the broken pipe
The way I calculate their exorbitant pricing is over $300 an hour for their service
I'm just wondering how many other uneducated people they have taken advantage of over the years I now understand how they can afford all that expensive advertising they constantly do
I was in the service business over 35 years and my theory was to treat customers properly and fairly and they would continue to come back to do business with a reputable company

I called to have the wiring inspected
I called to have the wiring inspected. The quote to check the wiring was insanely expensive. $1,430.00 to install a junction box in attic and a diagnostic for trac light in living room. I should have stopped there. The first thing the tech says after looking around is that my 2 fuse boxs are discontinued and needed to be replaced, and he couldn't find parts, and it could be a fire hazard. Also said he wouldn't do any work until smoke detectors were installed. I agreed since some work was done by the previous owner who wasn't an electrician. I have 3 issues: The first is the tech did not say the smoke detectors would be battery powered only. Art plumbing does electric work so I thought (my mistake) that the detectors would be hard wired since they are at around $225-$250. I could have gone to a hardware store and bought one for around $40 and installed it myself. In fact, I went on the Kidde website, the cost for the Model P4010DCS-W is only $54.99. So Art Plumbing charges $200 to screw 2 screws for the detectors. If I knew that, it would have been less expensive to do the job myself. The second problem is they do not provide a cost breakdown. They claim that their accounting office determines the charges. I have asked for an itemized invoice and was told they only provide the cost of the job and they won't provide a breakdown. To me that means they will hide any overcharges. You can't price compare if they hide their prices. Until they prove I'm wrong, I stand by my statement that they pad their fees in overcharges. The third is that they cover themselves for the shoddy work done. On the invoice it stated, "Electric is not responsible for drywall damage or repair that may be incurred during the panel installation, however drywall cutting will be kept to a minimum.", but the tech cut out a lot of drywall to install a new fuse box. The hole is bigger than the new box even though the original box had a smaller opening. Also, the tech did not ask where the smoke detectors should be installed. One is on the ceiling in the hall which is okay, but the other 2 are in random places. In one room it is installed on the wall above the closet. The one in the master bedroom is in the middle of the room instead of above the door. I regret doing business with Art Pluming, AC and Electric.

This company came to my house and caused damage
This company came to my house and caused damage. While doing the installation, they cut into my shelving and knocked big chunks of plaster from my walls. The cuts to my shelves weren't even done properly. My husband told me they were supposed to come back and fix the damage. Some time later, when I asked when they were going to return, he said they told him they don't do that kind of work. I'm shocked and feeling some kind of way about this, and I feel like it's racial that they would come into my house and leave this kind of damage. I work for Miami-Dade public works, and when we do this kind of work or any kind of work, we clean and patch up any areas we damage. I can't believe they were paid $6335.00 and would leave the walls and shelves with this kind of damage. I have pictures of how they left my house.

Date of initial - 6/11. Installed on 6/15 to 6/18. Water leakage Repair on 8/3. Heater replacement on 1/28/2022. Water leakage repair again on 9/21/2022 and 11/20/2022 & 11/23/2022. The amount of Money you paid the business - $5,075 for a new air conditioner supply and installed. The water leakage from the roof has been happening since it got installed, and it still leaks during heavy rain. Basically, this company hasn't been doing a good job since the beginning. I've had to deal with multiple issues with the *** unit, including several instances of water leaks because of their bad installation. The latest problem is that the fan stopped working, and now they're saying that the unit is no longer covered for repair because it's been more than a year ***, and they want to charge me $680 for labor costs.

This company put in a new AC unit about 4 years ago. This summer, the unit needed fixing, so we called them to come and check it out. They said we needed a new coil, but our warranty had just expired, so we had to pay for it ourselves. They finished the job and covered up the unit without telling us that the coil was actually defective. It was still working, but it was damaged. We only found out because our tenant went to change the AC filter and noticed that the coil they had just replaced looked old and was all messed up. The fins were bent and torn. We called the company and they sent a technician who said it was working fine. He saw the bent fins but refused to recommend a replacement. I've been trying to get them to contact me, but they haven't responded, so we can get this defective part taken out. We feel like we've been ripped off. The job was done in July XX XXXX and cost us US ***. I sent them pictures, but they're ignoring us. Please help! This company is not trustworthy at all. They're very dishonest. They were probably hoping we wouldn't notice, which is why they closed up the AC so quickly. It's shameful.

I also signed up for their yearly maintains $1100. 2 weeks late my AC started freezing up. They come out found nothing. 1 week late it freezes up again. They came out saying the blower motor. I paid $870 for labor as the part was cover. The very next day my AV would not stay on. They came out saying we need to replace all the ducks in the house for the AC to work and someone would call for a quote? It comes on then shut off. As of now we must shop vac every 2 to 3 hours and it is full of water. Once we do that the AC works. When the pan gets full of water the AC shut off. The AC was purchase in 2017? My roof ceiling is full of water for the AC. I need this resolved. I call them 11/13 about the AC and I was told someone would come on around 2pm 11/14. It 4:30 and no call. I need my AC working and someone repair the leak on my roof ceiling.

On 12/5/2022 I had an appointment for an A/C repair done with Arts Plumbing and Air conditioning. The guy came and told me that the problem I had was too much humidity in my apartment. He did some tests and checked my system. After he was done, he said I should change the thermostat. We talked about it and he said that if the humidity gets too high, the A/C would turn on to fix it. But it didn't do that. So, I called Arts and talked to a service manager named ***. He said he would send another guy to check the system again. This time, the guy said the problem wasn't the thermostat, but maybe a leak in my duct system. He used a tool in a vent to figure it out. He said I should get the A/C vent sealed. Arts sent another guy and he agreed with the first guy. He said it would cost $2400.00. I told him that was way too much and asked for a refund of the $650.00 I already paid for the wrong repair. But I haven't heard anything from Arts yet.

On 08/11 my Wife called Art Plumbing cuz our A/C wasn't cooling down the house no more. Art sent *** to our house. All Components on the A/C been working, Art found out that the A/C System is low on Freon and told my wife it needs a refill. In the meantime, art tried to find a leak inside the system with an electronic leak detector but said there ain't no leak inside the *** than refilled the System with Freon, had the A/C run and measured a 4 Degree difference (A/C was set to 79, it should be a 20 difference, so 59, but A/C was 63) and decided to fill the system with more Freon while the system was still running. He than told my wife, that apparently the compressor was in bad condition (He couldn't say that before filling $400 in Freon in the System?) and needs to be replaced soon. As soon as he was done filling more Freon into the A/C the Compressor started making noises and the breaker started to get hot, resulting in the Breaker to pop. He than showed my Wife how to put the breaker back in and left. The result of this reckless action by Art is that the Compressor is now broken cuz the System was overcharged (talked to three different A/C Companies) and Art won't fix it, they just say I need a new A/C System cuz the A/C we have is already 8 years old, and needs to be replaced. I talked to *** (Manager) on the phone, and he just said the system is in bad condition and needs to be replaced.

The company put in an AC unit, which has warranties. They also sold me an extra labor warranty. But within 24 hours of the installation, the unit caused an electrical fire in the outside wiring. They fixed it though. The unit has had many problems over two years, until it completely stopped working on or around August 28. I let them know about the AC unit failing on August 28, 2022. Their technician came the next day, but he didn't have the part needed to fix it. For about two weeks, nobody at *** would give us a specific time for when the part would arrive. We had to keep calling, but they never called us back. On September 12, 2022, ***, the Director of *** Operations, got involved after we complained to the call center. They tried to give us an update. Finally, on September 20, 2022, *** was able to give us a status. They said HI and gave us an update from the parts team. They said the update is expected by the end of *** and the harness is available. On October 3, 2022, when we asked for an update, *** asked other employees to give us an update. But after 3 days with no update, when we asked again on October 6, *** told us to wait until the following Monday because the parts manager wasn't in the office. On October 10, 2022, when we asked for an update, *** asked others on his team for an update. As of October 12 at 7 PM at night, nobody has given us an update. We've called ***, the call center, and sent emails, but no luck. We've been without AC for more than 6 weeks now.

Estimate date 09/16 Install date 09/20 Contract Price $5792.22. AC and Electric provided an estimate on 09/16 for a mini split AC installation on my perimeter wall, including permits. The contract was signed, and installation occurred on 09/20. The sales rep present during the quote also visited pre-installation. When inquired about permits, he assured they would be provided in two weeks, claiming city approval for later issuance. After ten months and numerous calls, permits remain unissued, and the AC department manager is unresponsive. The permitting department offers only excuses, attempting to secure a mechanical permit instead of the required structural one. The city's permitting department states installations must have prior approved permits. Initially contacted through a local service, I was approached by Art and AC for the installation. The sales rep requested pre-installation sign-off for convenience, assuring their reputation and backing. However, the lack of permits and city inspection after ten months raises concerns about the legitimacy of the installation and whether it was wired correctly.

We had a service call on June 29, 2022 for a leak from our a/c. They said it would be $129 for the service call plus any work. The technician asked who usually services us and I said CAC but they couldn't come that day, so I wanted to try and fix it. He said we would be more expensive because they don't pay their technicians and do a bad job. He looked at it and said it was a drain leak and would cost $441 or $512 to fix. I said no, CAC said it would be $49 to fix, they just couldn't come that day. I said I'll just pay the $129 and call the other company. He said why not, you have the money. I said excuse me? You don't know my situation, it's not your business. He kept saying I know you have the money. I said I'm not doing it, and I've never been treated so badly in 40 years of service calls. Then he said I can do it for $290 but won't clean the drain pan. I said no, we're done. He kept saying I know you have the money, and I said I'll complain about this. He said go ahead. I sent a complaint that same day. Later, a manager called and apologized and said he would talk to the employee. When I mentioned the person's name, he said he's one of their best technicians. I felt like nothing would be done. The technician didn't seem concerned about my complaint, so I think this might be their normal way of operating. Something should be done to prevent this from happening again.

March 4 I purchased a new AC unit along with ductwork for $18,500 from art ac and plumbing. Since March I've made several complaints due to the new unit not working, house being without air, duct work falling and unit not working efficiently. I am also still waiting on art to correct the permit from March in order for the city to inspect the install. I also need insulation in the attic which despite me calling contractors to do it has yet to be complete because 1 each contractors has pointed out the ductwork has been installed incorrectly and has kinks depleting my airflow. Also, without a finished permit. The insulation maybe tampered with when the city inspects. I have tried most recently to contact the assigned person *** at art to continue to resolve these issues but no response. To date, my electric utility bills have increased, my house still has hot pockets, especially at night, work has not been permitted, and ductwork install has been sloppy.

I purchase a townhouse and moved in on March 15. The house was very hot. It felt like hot air was blowing. I saw that Art Plumbing's name was on the A/C unit and on the thermostat. The thermostat said "Call for Service" It showed that the unit had been installed just over a year so I called them. A Tech came out and "tested" and said that everything was fine and that I just needed to give it time to cool off; I was experiencing the heat because we were going in and out the house. There is no air blowing out of some of the vents but he didn't check that. I paid $59 for him to come out because I didn't have a service contract. I turned the A/C all the way down but it was still hot in the house; 2 weeks later I called them again this time I ended up paying $544.90 which included the fee for a service contract and for the Tech to suction up a leak from the A/C and then he said he topped off the coolant. To date, it is still hot in my house and no air is blowing from some vents

Had a new A/C unit and water heater installed in January , but A/C Unit was not installed properly nor permit at time of installation
Had a new A/C unit and water heater installed in January , but A/C Unit was not installed properly nor permit at time of installation. We signed a contract with Art Plumbing on January 2 for total of $9,857.00 to replace the A/C Unit and Water Heater(Invoice #XXXXXXXX). The A/C unit is a 4 ton American Standard variable speed 16 SEER split AC System. The water heater is a 50 gallon Proline State Water Heater. The sales rep is named ***. The installation took place on 1/10. The water heater was not installed properly and the internal elements corroded 5 days after installation. The contractor replaced the elements instead of replacing the unit altogether. The new installed A/C Unit does not have the proper circuit breakers which damaged our nest thermostat. Also the box the air handle sits on, that was replaced is not sealed properly and leaks air, sufficient insulation was not used to cover drain line or taped properly. Still waiting for issues to be corrected and Unit to pass inspection to close out permit. Inspection Supervisor came onsite in July for inspection, but had to cancel because unit would not pass inspection. Tech came onsite in August and documented issues with A/C Unit, but circuit breaker were not changed or other issues addressed.
