Request for early astro termination without any charges incurred
I have been a customer of Astro since 2015. In February 2022, i decided to change my decoder to ultra box because that would give me better viewing of Astro programs whenever the weather is not good. And i had to sign up for a 24 months contract which will end on 12/2/2025 Since using the ultra box, i find that Astro has been repeating its old program...

Subscribed to Astro sport pack with promo amount RM79.90 with 2 years of contracts from Jan 2023 to Jan 2025.
During July 2023 I have add on variety channel with additional of RM10.
But my new Bill was charged RM130.
I have call up them but they keep not able to reply a logical answers.
Then I request to pull 0ff of the new channel so hoping my future bill will revert back to the original RM79.90.
But I was informed bill amount will be RM106 instead RM79.90.
Desired outcome: Reinstate my bill to the amount you have promised.
Astro Termination Complaint a/c no [protected]
1) Sometime in Oct 2022, I call up to terminate my account.
2) A few days later, I received a call that the account is terminated and I did
not required to return any equipment
3) In early of the year 2023, I received daily hassle call from Astro to pay outstanding payment of RM 58.75. I did not received any bill via email on this amount
4) The hassle call continue every day from different people.
5) On 19th April 2023, for the sake of all this hassle, I settle the RM58.75 and thought , every thing is done
6) On 3rd May 2023, I received a new bill of RM80.50 for reconnecting the Astro and fees for month May
7) I call Astro on the same day and was assured that the May fees will be cancelled since I have not use it and she directed me to the termination department but could not get through after waiting for donkey hours
8) I call again the next day and Ms Anna , make a report for me No [protected]
and advise the Astro will call me in 24hrs.
9) No call after 2 days, and I call again and Mr Tanesh make a report again No [protected] and again forward me to termination deaprtment. After a very long waiting time I mange to speak to Mr Daniel and he prepare the termination report No: 638051437A and advise me that the account could only be terminated at the end of the month and I must pay the outstanding May fees of RM80.75 or otherwise it cannot be done
10) Today 5th May, Mr Tanesh call me again and say that I have to settle these RM80.75 which I did not use and its the Atro policy or otherwise have to show prove that someone in Astro call me with regards to the termination in Oct/Nov 2022. I took his advise and found that the phone only have 90 days record on incoming call and is upto Feb 2023. and the Feb call from Astro is 03-[protected] at 9.07am .
The above is what happened and AStro is now unwilling to cancel the May 2023 fees that I did not used and terminate the account accoundingly
Warning:- Astro will hassle you day and night will all this call and does not send /email billing copy

I lodged a report last Friday morning (31/3/2023) regarding modem but until now the problem is not solved. Sadly, this is not the first time this has happened before. I waited until Monday there's still no sign of call from your so called technician so I've decided to terminate your broadband service. When I was using TM, they can solve this kind of issue in one day.

Customer service
Very bad customer service experiences. Please improve on it.
There was one time my tv box broke down and I contacted customer service. The first time the customer service said they will send a technician to my place to fix the box but they never come! So I proceed to report for the 2nd and 3rd time and all I got was the EXACT SAME ANSWER as previous agents - 'Sorry, miss. We have already filed the case and working on it.'
I waited for two weeks but still no one come. On my 3rd report, I called the technician and he told me he already quit his job! How amazing is the customer service?! I cannot belive I need to wait that long for the same issue that I have reported two weeks ago! This should not be a service that a big company can provide and the follow-up service should be done by the company, not the customer! I only got the technician to come over after I reported for the 4th time.
Also, I reported another issue today. The customer service ended the messages before he confirm I have no other issue to ask. What a great service, Astro! Extremely disappointed on your service.
Astro Broadband
I reported that my internet was down on the 24 Feb night via Whatsapp. A technician came on 26 Feb but cannot resolve it because he mentioned it is the TM modem problem and he mentioned that he will arrange for a TM technician to fix/change the modem. It is 3 March now and no response from Astro. Opened numerous report numbers 16427094, and 1645179 and to no avail. The reply I received was a technician will contact me. It has been 8 days now and Astro is still arranging for a technician to check. 8 days without internet is totally unacceptable.
I do not know how long Astro plans to send a technician. 2 weeks? or 2 months? I am seriously considering canceling everything from Astro including TV. The service is so bad, it's beyond description.

Service Currently Not Available (SCNA)
I have been enjoying some UHD Channels for several years until recently the SCNA error message appeared. Efforts to resolve the errors using the online guide failed and finally decided to communicate with the agent.
It feels like being scammed when I was told that the issue can be resolved by ASTRO sending a technician for which I must pay RM65 or free of charge with condition that I re-contract for another 12 months.
I have been paying the monthly subscription, but have not been able to enjoy the full service for what I have paid for, particularly the UHD channels. Unless I choose one of the 2 options above! This is not a scam?
Desired outcome: Resolve the SCNA issue and allow me to fully benefit from the monthly subscription!

I ve informed astro staff abt shifting hse on 19th dec. She took down my new add n said the technician will contact me within 1 week. No calls received. Called up astro n the answer was same. Followed up again n was advised tat usual procedure is grace period of 21 days. Fine enough. Already shifted hse. Called astro on 4th jan why no calls from technician. Was advised by staff tat they hsve been waiting some documents from me. I checked the sms date wch she gave me wch was 25th dec but noted no sms received on te said date then she asked me to cek saying might be 26 or 27th dec. How dates can be might, I dont understand. Well thro phone ceked abt te required doct n emailed to them. Thereafter I submitted a complain to astro thro web n received a mail indicating a list of docts needed. Did send on 6th jan bt till tdy no one called to finalise te problem nor did I get the astro connection yet.
Desired outcome: Why at the first call staff didnt inform abt the docts needed. N aso during few follow up calls made. Why was not allowed to speak to the officer in charfe wen requested. Why till tdy no action taken
ASTRO Termination Penalty
My name is R Paravathy A/P K Raman Nair, i were the Astro Customer for more than 20 years. When I decided to terminate my account, they billed me a penalty of RM749.63 for the termination. Since being their customer i were a very good paymaster. I never delay or miss any payment.
Deposit not refund nearly one year

As per my letter to you dated 14/1/2021, our maintenance staff already remove all the decoders few months ago, your staff just take it back without any other services.
Therefore, our boss disagree the dismantling charges which is RM335.00 & unwilling to pay the charges.
FYI, i see the refund amount still RM2, 743.24 from bank statement, means that Astro still charge us the dismantling charges.
Besides, I'm sorry I found out there is a 2 months security deposit which is RM 10, 560.00 paid on 26/8/2016, may i know how long will it take to receive the deposit refund?
I hope to hear from you soon about the procedure for receiving the refund, which is RM10, 895.00 in total.

Astro is scammer / cheating
My Name is Raj and my Astro A/C no is [protected].
I transfer house on November 2019 and send notification via email to astro too. As usual, phone line hanging very long and long. This is Astro poor services. After so long, very recently check my CTOS and notice have outstanding RM 241.40. This is for Dec 2019. Is it fair? This Astro is worse than a scammer.
Today (28th June 2021 @ 20:09:31) have paid the amount because need to clear my name from CTOS. Really very painful when pay for nothing at this hard time. Astro is worse services. Not easy to reach them but they disconnect very fast if you have outstanding and accumulate bills as their which. This is the way Astro sucking poor people boolds.

Astro IPTV manipulative way of extending contract
I called Astro Customer Service sometime February to cancel Astro Services as the program quality have deteriorated and there was not much choice. We intended to switch to Netflix - while maintaining the Maxis broadband service.
The customer service personnel advised that I need not cancel and can continue to go on with the Maxis broadband service without the purchased Astro packages. She also offered some free channels, mostly local.
I agreed.
Today (May 12th), I was getting ready to move to a new location. We called Astro to check for the process to relocate and switch the owner to my wife's name, as well as enhance the Maxis to a fibre broadband (unlimited data). To my shock, the Astro CSP told me that i was on a contract and cannot switch ownership.
I was shocked. I had wanted to terminate the service in Feb, but the CSP has evidently added a 2 year contract for "offering free Astro channels "which i did not request.
This is a very underhanded, manipulative way of Astro catching the customers unawares.
I this times of Covid and MCOs, we depend heavily on the quality of home broadband services. Astro did not provide any consideration of value ( I wanted to cancel the service ) by providing these cheap channels and bind me to a 2 year contract.
Desired outcome: Astro to give me the option to outright cancel the subscription OR give the option to transfer the ownership to my wife and upgrade to the MYR 129 Maxis broadband package.
Malaysia serials in Astro Vanavil and Vinmeen
Hi, i would like to complain about the local malaysian serials in astro vanavil and vinmeen. Why malaysian serials only based on ghost stories and serial killer stories alone? Continuously we are watching this kind of story plots since June 2020 which may influence negativity in the community and kids at home. Complains are sent to Malaysian Hindu Sangam as well. Please choose the story plots which can give positive influence to the family and community. Please avoid favourism by choosing only few directors or production team, which is very bad. This favourism only made this kind of low quality programs being approved by astro team.
Desired outcome: Please open the opportunity publicly to everybody without seeing favourism by choosing few selected people's projects only.
Repetition of movies being played
All Tamil channels on Astro:
There are so many tamil movies that can be played on Astro. But all the time, the same movies are being shown on Astro.
Please show some movies that are not shown yet on Astro instead of showing the same movies that Astro plays all the time. Example, Minale has been shown many many times and still showing again today. I wonder why. Kindly stop playing the same movies again and again repetitively. Moreover, Singam movie. This movie is always being showed as well all the time.
There are many other movies such as Taalam, JayJay, Perazhagan, Ayutha Ezhuthu, Kadhal Desam, PriyaSaki, Laysa2, Vinnaithandi Varuvaya, Adhavan, Nandha, OK Kanmani, Kadhalar Dhinam, Kutty, Aaru, Roja Enaku20 Unaku 18, Nepali, Vikram Vedha, CCV, KO, UthamaPuthiran, Sethu, Kovil, Manmathan, Mudhalvan, Kanathil Muthamital, Run, Dum Dum Dum, and the list goes on...
On the other hand, I notice that Astro also show all the nice movies later during the late night (eg 11pm) rather than 1pm, 3pm 6pm or 9pm.
Please take note on this and I hope that Astro will make it a point to take this into action/consideration as it is not only me who is complaining but many of them.
Please make our Covid-19 Quarantine more excitement for us staying indoors.

Astro customer service can't even solve my astro problem. Their people instructions are not so clear and they are so impatient. I was like hello I am waiting for them almost 30 mins to chat regarding to my problem but they don't even bother to wait for 3-4 mins. It sucks. I know they need to face other customers too but I paid so expensive for monthly and they still cannot afford enough people to work with them? I hope astro could do more better than this and I was wrong again. I think it's time to find other alternative :)
