This so called "company" but looks like a circus,
They received the payments for $19, 99 and then started to ask documents to verify the payment
So i told them to cancel the order, and again they sent me an email asking for documents
So i told them again to cancel the order and refund, and they have sent again a prepacked email asking to verify the order
I finally sent them 10 emails 1 week ago, and they never sent an email with the cancellation and refund confirmation
In addition by the phone they told me "you are a fraudseter, and it is well know that americans are fraudsters, and you want to cancel the order and refund because you are a fraudster, like most of americans"
So i believe they don't like americans (They are in netherlands)

I checked with the credit card company and the payments is "cleared" and i checked the status on avangate.com and it's "under evalutation"
Don't buy from this scammers, they will receive your payments, they will send you a prepacked email asking for documents, and if you want to cancel the order and the refund, they will never answer you regarding the refund
They are a ripoff company, very not professional
I will go ahead and contact better busines burea if required

Its a scam from my experience.
Did a 7 day free trial with Worthpoint. Cancelled 2 days after. Never got a confirmation of cancel. Never got a reply asking for confirmation. Avangate sets up a recurring $19.99 scam billing despite cancellation. Called Credit Card company, they immediately sent it to the fraud investigation department after seeing Avangate.com name on the charge.
Should have known better when a company use a shell company to charge when small legit businesses would never use a shell company to charge.
My purchase from Avangate was in March of this year (2014) and was for support in resolving an issue I was having with the speaker (audio) drivers on my laptop. After an hour of direct effort on my computer, they left me in a condition where the computer would only boot up in "Safe Mode." They hung up at that point and I've heard nothing further from them. Their bills for $169.99 (one-time repair work) and $49.95 (monthly update service) were billed and paid through PayPal. I have disputed those charges from the first time they appeared on my PayPal statement, but have thus far been unsuccessful in getting them removed.
Avangate is a scam and a ripoff. Avoid Avangate!
In addition to this complaint, Avangate never just charges the US$ amount specified at the time of purchase by both the software vendor or the Avangate payment form.
YOU WILL ALMOST ALWAYS BE CHARGED A "FORIEGN FEE" by your bank several days after a purchase through Avangate. When Avangate is contacted by the customer, they always blame it on your bank.
If legitimate software vendors would use legitimate payment processors there would not be a "FORIEGN FEE" charged.
Advangage aka Bitdefender
Sells a not great product. I like others had computer hacking and receive what I felt was an inadequate product. Advantage representatives, agent's Bitdefender's customer service team, does not permit termination of the contract, and will claim an auto renewal clause option where no actual contract signature (even electronic) can be determined. Even if you desire to terminate earlier and provide notice of termination, Bitdefender and Advantage will still go through with any autorenewals. Buyer be warned, this company and its agent practices some unsavory business practices for all the forgoing reasons, plus others mentioned on this website. Not sure why PC websites promote this antivirus software, makes one question the credibility of such authors given so many consumer complaints.
I signed up for a free/trial version a couple of weeks back and, due to terrible (or perhaps brilliantly deceptive) web design 'activated' full membership and was charged for the service. Trying to get a full refund has proven impossible. They have also refused to provide details of their legal counsel. Buyer beware, Worthpoint are a scam site that will seek to charge you for a service that you never asked for or requested.

I got an email from Avangate after having to compalin non stop as their Engineer had taken my information from the company and proceeded to stalk me via email, phone and social. I was recieving 7 atleat calls a night at 2am in the morning with scary voicemails advising who he was not to mention the emails he was sending advising he had taken my information from the company when I did business with them. On having enough of this I demanded a refund but was only told it needed to be investigated as per the scam as they froze and locked up my computer forcing the purchase of the software. On finally having enough of not only the stalking and complete breach of my personal privacy I contacted the online fraud department of the FBI with the information of what has happened. I sent daily emails to the company for ten days and received an email from one of the companies a month ago advising of the refund which has never turned up. Today I received an email from Avangate advising of a full refund. the only question is will I even receive the refund as so far they claim they have yet no monies has turned up in my account. I will be adding this to the fraud lodgement with the FBI until I get my money back. Has anyone actually had their money returned efetr the email refund notification?

i brought from this company they looked really good when they sent me a code i entered unto me p.c it scran my p.c and then it frozen i switch my p.c off and when it came back on there was a blue screen telling me i had downloaded a infected files .ive emailed them all day no reply i will be intouch with my back to make a charge back and the items they are selling are infecting p.c .you have wreck my p.c and now its costing money to put it right
this is the worst company ive ever come across .i wish i had read all these complaints before i parted with my money .you should be looking after people not scamming there money of them by offering then a rubbish program and then saying you helping them with there p.c
It's the first time I did a transaction through Avangate. It is the worst experience you can imagine. It took them 10 hours to come back with an email, telling me that my transaction looked suspect. They asked for prove. The attachments requested by them were mailed to them. But they just don’t respond. Its 25 hours since I’ve ordered URGENT SOFTWARE, but they just don’t care.
Debited my credit card $269.95 when I havent renewed my authority or subscription as I no longer require the product.I would expect a full refund & no longer use of the card details without my renewed authority.

I paid for a parental control software that doesn't work on my phone or tablet. I was assured by a sales rep that I would get a complete refund if the software didn't work. Four emails later and a "declined refund" notice from Avangate via PayPal, I am determined to continue to try and get a refund. I will find more sites like this one to post complaints about the company. They refuse to refund money for a product that doesn't work. Clearly, they don't care about their customers' opinions about them or their products. I will never EVER deal with them again, and I will spread the word as often as I can.
I am having the same trouble with BITDEFENDER and AVANGATE. They are scam artists and they too have taken another payment this year from my account without authority. I cancelled BITDEFENDER last year, the day after buying the crap and they still took the payment. I was never refunded that payment and now they have taken another. My bank is dealing with this fraud.
A firm called Superior Tech Help along with payment through Avangate cost me $299.00 Superior called me backed saying they are not affliated with Avangate and stated they took their software back, my computer was unprotected. Recommend staying away from Avangate and any firm affiliated with them.
I have been waiting for a refund for over a month and I get the same thing as other's that it's hung up in processing and their processing dept. has no phone number so they can't be reached even by their own people but by e-mail. I have been calling
asking everyday to speak to someone in their finance dept. but they say they can't even reach them even if it was an Emergency.
BUT MY REFUND OF $489.00 IS STILL BEING PROCESSED! I KEEP GIVING THEM MY NUMBER [protected] as they always ask for. my name and whatever else they as I just get promises, promises, promises that I should see it back in my account

I had a company call me saying they were from microsoft and my computer had been hacked. Since it was microsoft I ask them to please fix this. My daughter comes home and tells me this is a scam. She called them to take off whatever they put in my computer.
I was charged $1797.00 by Avangate and she got a confirmation number that it was removed but Avangate never paid me back. A few months later I got the same call. This time I Dave telling me I turned off security for my computer. So while he is fussing at me my daughter calls microsoft and they get in there showing where he put in 13 (?) trojan viruses. So he said he would refund my money and I said good and hung up. Then and now I continue to get 12 - 16 calls back to back while microsoft put up a firewall they can't get into. She proceded to tell me This is COMODO.com and also geekbuddy remote. So now Dave is angry with me and keeps shutting my computer off. Before it goes down it says my bank is being invaded. I turned off the computer and here come the phone calls. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH ANY OF THESE PEOPLE. After losing money they will hound you to death. Pay pal was of no help for me. Mary
If you're like me, you bought at a "discount" their HP Drivers Update Utility DGTSOFT Order # [protected] on October 19, 2015 for £12.91.
It is a scam! Says after the scan I need 22 drivers updated. Ok fine so you click download and it looks like its doing something. Then select install and it just freezes every stinking time.
Checked against 4 other driver update utilities and my system is just fine.
So since Oct 20th I've been emailing dgtsoft and no reply. I try to call their number +[protected] and the number doesn't exist. So try variations of that number and still nothing.
What I'm worried about is what they will do with my card info or try to charge another license fee a year from now.
Man after all these years and finding this company's link on the HP main website I thought it was safe. Guess I'm a fool. And yes ADVANGATE is the "mothership" and is a company that handles the selling of other companies products such as dgtsoft. Advagate is in Amstelveen, Netherlands.

Don't have much to tell, got my credit card bill had a $39.90 charge, don't know who they are, don't know what the charge is for, emailed them no response guess the BBB is next, oh yeah don't know how they got my credit card number.
on the 1st of feb i ordered a program online from
tweakbit that was supposed to clean up my computer
what i got was a program that went through my
computer (remotely) and showed me everything that
needed to be cleaned up
i was then transferred to a "senior" technician, who
tried to sell me the actual product to clean my
computer for $245
within an hour i had bought and canceled the order,
my money was refunded
a few days later, on the 5th of feb, a charge of
29.95 was made by avangate to my bank
i called and told them i didn't buy anything and
wanted a refund
since then all my calls have told me the same thing,
that i have been sent a refund
there is no refund in my account and i've been
calling ever since
i was emailed a statement to show that the refund
had in fact been sent to my bank
what i got was an invoice for 29.95
the word refund doesn't appear anywhere on the page
i called again to say the statement doesn't say it's
a refund, and i was told because the 29.95 has a
minus in front of that this shows it's a refund.
a invoice is a receipt for a purchase... it is not a
refund
i was told to contact my bank, that the money may be
on hold
i called again (good sign this isn't a reputable
company when you have to work this hard to get your
money back)
i was told the refund was sent and they could send
me an email as proof
i told them that i had the email already, and that
the money was not in my account
i was told that according to them a refund was sent
and i should contact my bank, that sometimes the
bank puts the money on hold
i said, my bank would never refuse money sent to
them, and that it wasn't in my account
i was told the refund had been sent and that i
should contact the bank
i said, but the money's not in my acount, what if contacting the bank doesn't work? i was told i wouldn't have to call them back and that the refund had been sent by them and to contact my bank
i canceled my card when the bogus charge came up
over a week ago, and have now filed a claim
i think tweakbit is also a questionable company, and
avangate certainly is
i like how avangate responds to compliants by not
addressing the complaint, just telling you to
contact them, or saying goobly-[censored] that makes no
sense what so ever, they just shuffle you back
through the process again, the loop approach
this, also, a sign poor business relations, or worse
taking people's money cause they can
there are just too many complaints, all the stories
have a similar ring to them
the more we report them, the sooner they will be
caught for fraudulant business practices

I ordered the ABBYY 12 fineprint software and it did not load correctly. I filed 2 support tickets. Both were closed within a day of filing the issue and both tickets were closed as "solved" without the company ever contacting me. This smacks of bogus software pedalling on the internet. I contacted paypal and my credit card company to block payment. No worries here. Just don't order anything from Avangate.
They do not list if the product is Mac compatible. Pretty dumb for a software company. When I complained, they told me I should have tried if first. I did not try is because I was not going to waste my time and a disk since there is 5 minute limit on the test product. The followed up by saying I should gift the software to a Window using family member. I stopped payment from my credit card. Terrible company, there to misinform and take your money.
I purchase Kaspersky total security and it does't work, at the activation does not work.
I just realized that you had debited my account of the sum of 39.99 euros for a renewal of subscription bitdefender that I've never accepted! thank you for refunding this transfer abusive.
