Employee of BSNL Useless
I have taken recently landline of BSNL and Internet connection.
BSNL employees are not working at all. The work invironment of BSNL is not good and they do not work at all. I think BSNL should be privatized to get benifit for INDIA and all customers.
BSNL employees takes money for the landline connection.
All TV channels should do sting operation against BSNL employees.
My exchange still does not provide with broadband services
I am registering this complaint under frustration on the services available from BSNL telecommunications.
I have applied for a broadband connection at my nearest service provider(vaniyamkulam BSNL exchange) For a broad band connection for about six or more months. I haven't yet received a connection. Its a pity that the largest service provider cant look forward for a connection so seriously. My nearest exchange i.e Ottapalam exchange provides for the connection to everyone who applies for it within 1 month... Still our exchange has not replied for my application...
Terrible experience
I guess customer service has different definition for BSNL. It shall be named customer harassment. Each guy tries to pass the buck by giving a number to call and it means customer issue is resolved to them. They oblige you by picking up the phone for you. I have called on following numbers so far 1500, [protected], [protected], 2845155, [protected], 2847511, [protected], 080-[protected] I have talked to different officials in BSNL. Every time I call if luckily someone picks up. I could guess the response now. People will give another number and drop off without giving any proper response. They even won’t listen to you properly. Single number shall be there and they shall resolve the issue by reaching out the proper person themselves. As a consumer why shall I be running about the people? Suggestion there, outsource your customer service.
Visiting Exchange (not fruitful either):
I had first time visited Indranagar exchange to apply for a connection. My application was reject and was told to get address proof from my employer. I got that in 2 days and visited Whitefield exchange on 21/06/2007. To my wonder they responded they don’t accept company letter as address proof now, No coordination. Reluctantly, they accepted my application after so much insistence.
After that I have visited Brookfield exchange twice getting time off from my private job. Last I visited on 16/07/2008. I was stopped to meet any official as some meeting (I guess some fight) was going on. I was asked to meet a lady. She finally told me it’s not done because of port issue. I had got the same response when I visited the exchange 2 weeks back. I have read on many blogs common excuse of BSNL port, cable or modem issue. What do you expect here customer go and buy a port himself. By the time I tried to turn back to senior official in exchange. They were not in good mood so refuse to meet (I guess Mr. Gondavar). I finally had to give up and come back. I have no interest in going to exchange again and have a humiliating experience there.
Ad Campaign:
BSNL puts a lot of money in doing ad campaigns. Please understand nothing can give you customers more then word of mouth. Now, I understand fully why people don’t suggest BSNL even if BSNL has the best schemes for broadband.
Low Motivation level of BSNL employees:
I have painfully interacted with at least 10-15 officials. One can say immediately they have no motivation for the job.
Finally I got disconnected my phone lost all my hope 080-[protected] on 26/07/2008 and applied for Airtel on 26/07/2008. Person came at my home to get the form filled and to my surprise I got everything setup and running on 27/07/2008 (Sunday). This is called service. Thanks Airtel team, you have contributed a lot to development of India.
TATA's and everybody ot there pls don't do the same mistake as you did taking over VSNL BSNL IS A VIRUS AND IT SHALL BE QUARANTINED.
today i am in full mood. i will start from begining. i applied for a broadband connection, after ten to fifteen visits to bsnl office atlast they provided it. but this horrible story didnot stops here. net came for only fifteen minutes and absent for whole day. when i complaint about this they convinced that next day it will be alright and this drama continued to about twenty days and at last when i went to office to disconnect it there are three workers in the office all busy on personal problems. the telephones provided to listen customer's problem, these people are solving their personal problems and this conversation goes at least for half an hour. at last one of them stops being judge and i went to him and he said go to that man when i reached him he was talking on phone i waited for twenty minutes and when he stopped and saw me, he send me to the third man and the third said this problem will be solved the next day. now you can think next what will happen.
PLEASE DO NOT GET CONNECTED TO BSNL BROADBAND SERVICE. or get ready to be mad.
THIS IS THE WORST SERVICE THAT I HAVE IN MY LIFE PERIOD. IF THEY CONTINUES THIS ONE DAY THEY WILL BE SURELY CUSTUMERLESS AND WILL REGRET IN FEET OF CUSTOMERS.
I am having the Braodband connection since Jan31, 2008. But I am facing a typical problem that my broadband is working with computer but my telephone is dead. I am able to surf through the same connection. what could be the reason. Local exchange is facing difficulty to solve the problem. Inspite of number of reminder they are unable to solve the problem.

BSNL Brokefield service is the worst service provider. I am really suffering because of there service providing.
I applied for BSNL 750 unlimited plan on 05 Oct 2010 now its 5 march 2011 and continuing ... but still i am with no internet connection ...

Couple of days ago my internet connection was lost. As guided by the BSNL staff i how ever got it back by re configuring.
Now i am not able to check my usage data, when i try to get to the portal the page does not show but the notification 'forbidden' sec. I is important i check the usage, because three years ago, i got a huge bill, some thing like Rs 25, 000 and more, i had to make a dozen trips, make un necessary payment, reconnection charges and it got resolved after three months! I suspect that some thing like that may happen again.

Frustrating delay in shifting & non-functional phone
I'd applied for transferring my BSNL phone+ Broadband from Jayanagar to Marathahalli area on 3rd Nov, 2007. However, after 2 months, nothing moved. In the meantime, I also lost the acknowledgment receipt. When I went to the local office, they said they can't track the request without the receipt & forced me to lodge a new request.
I lodged a fresh request on 9th Feb, 2008. Since the original request wasn't processed, I ended up paying tariffs for the 3 months as it was the pre-requisite for processing the new request further (crap!). After 4 months of numerous follow ups in various BSNL offices, a person came and installed the landline on first week of June. When I asked about the broadband connection, he said another person will come & install the same.
Again 1.5 months passed by and the broadband is still not installed. The phone has worked only for a few days in this period & is generally dead. I've been to BSNL office enough no. of times to have lost all faith in it's system. The phone calls never gets answered & the employees have a general 'don't care' attitude. The web-site's complaint form leads to a error page and the call center reps can answer only very limited queries & direct you to the local BSNL office for every other thing.
I'm frustrated beyond imagination & have lost all trust in this company & it's services. Please treat BSNL only as your last option as it may lead you to cry forever.
Mobile service of BSNL at Place Pandavpara Distt. Baikunthpur, Korea, Chattisgarh is not giving proper services. Always tower problem occured. some time it will zero for 4-5 days. We have informed & complaints to SDO(Telecom), TDE(Telecom) Ambikapur, Surguja, CG & CGM (Telecom) Raipur, CG but no action taken by concern deptt. They said we are arranging BTS for replacing. All mobile subscriders of this area are not happy and going to another service like Airtel, Idea, Reliance. It is very much surprising that why BSNL deptt. are not taking action for providing stable service to this area.
Please take this matter serious and help for proiding proper service for us.

Poor service, worse customer service
BSNL Dataone is one piece of ### Broadband service period. For the first 3 weeks since I signed up, I got no service or extremely frequent disconnection. No Customer Service number for Pune. The "toll free" number was always busy. I finally called on the number they used to call me, in order to establish a connection when I had made an application. Every time they would ask me the nature of problem and take down my details and promise me some action. Things moved only after I threatened to terminate the connection and make a formal complaint. Even now, I have slow internet speeds, frequent disconnections or no connection at all. I got disconnected 3 times while writing this complaint.
I will not recommend this Broadband service to anyone.

I am Ashish from Indore Today on 04th of july '08, I got a message from BSNL "Thank you for choosing BSNL Tunes. You will be charged Rs. 20 as monthly subscription fee in your current bill". I was not dialed any no., not sms any thing even not press * button then how can the service activate on my mobile. Costumer Care says we can't do anything (they always do nothing).

i do agree with the negligible attitude of BSNL service provider. They are making things more complex for eg. if we want to check the uses record we cant get it easily. They frequently change the website address used to check the uses of Broad band.

Looks like the wires are worn out. We are BSNL customers from 10 years now. 10 complaints have been registered for the latest issue we are experiencing. The online complaint number is an utter waste. It keeps giving the same confirmation number 2004 or 0304 whenever you try to register a complaint. No action is taken. I also called the Junior Engineer at [protected] and informed him about the issue. He plainly refused to do anything about it until a complaint is registered online. In his records, there were no complaints registered by us.
When the system itself is faulty, how do you expect us to log a complaint. The person was not at all friendly on phone and is highly inapproachable.
The phone is still bad. It has not been corrected. Hope someone responsible would read this and try to help.

Didn't get internet connection
I took a WLL connection (No. 044 [protected]) on 3rd Mar 2008, mainly for internet. Till now I didn't get the internet. Whenever I asked them, they are saying modem is not available. The plan I'm in is a Combi Plan which has an unlimited internet access with some free cols. It's their mistake of not providing modem for such a long time. But I was made to pay bill for internet usage as well. It was so unfortunate that a Govt company cheating its one people. Now I was so frustrated that I want to return the connection.
I took a WLL unlimited Internet connection No.[protected] on Dec/2011. But the said WLL connection not working in my Desktop and Laptop from the beginning. So, I humbly request you kindly solve the problem of my net connection as soon as possible.

I took a WLL connection (No. [protected]) on 13th Sept 2011, mainly for internet. The WLL device shows its signal strength correctly, but till now the phone is not activated and I didn't get the internet. Whenever I asked them, the authority saying it will activate within hours. Many times I complainted to the BSNL Trippunithura exchange([protected]) but they didn't respond to my complaint.

Refund of Security Deposit
I had submitted duly filled application for surrendering of my BSNL Telephone line (91-20-[protected]) on 28 Jan 2008 as I had shifted from Pune to Mumbai. I had mentioned the address to which BSNL was suppose to send the Security Deposit Refund Order cheque. Till 8th May 2008 I had not received the refund cheque, I had to visit to Pune to check the status of my refund order.
I visited telephone exchange to check the status, here they asked me to go to Shankar Shet Road Telephone Exchange. I reached this exchange at 1:32 PM which is late by 2 mins from their lunch hours. I was asked to wait outside till 2:30 PM. After 2:30 PM I went to check the status, I was suprised to see that the cheque was returned from installation address to BSNL since 22nd Feb 2008. Even after mentioning the new address, BSNL sent refund cheque to old address. BSNl represntative was not at all concerened about the dealy and said to me that the cheque would have been kept in cupoboards till subscriber does not come here.
Due to negligence from BSNL side I had to visit Pune, take holiday from my work. In order to send the cheque to new address BSNl representative have to edit the customer profile. To avoid the pain in updating customer profile BSNL sends the refund cheque to old address. Customer has to visit different telephone exchanges to get there money.
I think BSNL has to now bring change in their working culture to be in this competetive market.

Broadband connectivity
Broad band services was provided to me on 30th April 2008. However after two days i.e. from 02nd May 2008 the adapter connected to modem provided by BSNL is not working. Complain was lodged over phone and also in person. After a lapse of more than 10 days still there is no response. But I have received the bill to be paid towards the modem charges and services charges.

First of all make sure ur : user name and password
bothe are correct, if yes
then in dial up connection under options tab increase the "idle time before hanging up" to maximum like 24hrs.
then under security tab select : "Require sequred password".

I have applied for broadband internet connection on 25th of july in Bangalore. I have been dumped with useless instrument at home for which the number(080-[protected]) is alloted but still connection is not given it is already 14 days now but still i dint get my broadband connection. When I call them they give me all the numbers(6 to 7) to contact the concerned person but never could able to speak to right person. Whats frustrating is I dint get any call from BSNL atleast once for letting me know my status.
My concern is if this the way (lazy) BSNL treats its customers then I won't see many days left when all its business moves to other service providers like AIRTEL/ TATA/Reliance.

Bsnl service in pune gets on you big time.
Firstly they outsource the modem installation to a private firm. Customers who don't better opt for the 'help' offered.
It's ok you would say.
But what do you make of this ?
It's been over 10 days since our connectivity is down. I figured it was a problem from the service as the 'link' LED would blink for some time before going down. This cycle would repeat without it getting steady.
So it's a connection problem I deduced. The log messages in my laptop (a fedora core 7 installation) confirmed the same.
How does one lodge a complaint?
Well the official number is 1500 which is offered for namesake and you can be sure that nobody will be there to either register or follow-up your complaint.
Ok, no problem you may say. Let's go to the office. The office is located opposite the Enfield showroom, adjoining the post-office (for our area).
One thing that strikes you is that there is no process for registering and handling complaints at the customer care centre itself. Still, an official gives us his word that he would send over a line technician to check our connection.
Well, let's see what happens now.
The line technician comes to our home, presumably checks the telephone line and deduces that the line is ok and that it is a modem related problem. He didn't even need to switch on the modem or do anything with the PC (SO HOW ON EARTH DID HE DEDUCE THAT IT IS A MODEM PROBLEM?). This was done in my absence and my mom didn't know how she could any better.
The line-technician gives my mom a reference to the firm that handled the modem installation.
Well, Well... things are not going good
I take my laptop and modem to our good neighbour's home whose bsnl dataone connection is fortunately up. I hook up and presto, the link line is functioning normally. I check the log messages and I see that the link is up alright.
A call to the modem installation firm at 020-[protected] has me talking with a guy who claims that he can sort out my problem despite me explaining my best that it is NOT A MODEM RELATED PROBLEM.
He say's that notwithstanding the nature of the problem he can fix it but his service is a paid service for a nominal amount of Rs 150/-
Why make a fuss for 150 Rs/- ? Why make a fuss at all if your connection goes down periodically (every 6 months, almost precisely).
Why make a fuss if almost every other consumer of this service encounters this kind of a problem and is having to shell out his money for a problem that's not his creation?
I think the only reason is that the broadband service is good. Just that the customer service ensures that the consumer gets a NIGHTMARE OF A SERVICE.

Turning off power supply to your modem for one minute and then restarting your computer.
Mostly, your modem will start working.

Dear Sir,
With due regard I want to bring this to your kind notice that since the BSNL department of Jodhpur is causing lot of harassment to me and members of my family in matter of raising bills, recoveries, over billing, demanding money (bribe) to settle the claims, missbehavior on telephone etc.
The following are some of the examples :
1. I applied for telephone connection in my name Vipin Bihari Goyal, after installation I was informed that my telephone number is 2716634 about four months back and now today on dt. 3.5.2008 the department again informs me that my phone number is 2716095. In the past also such changes were made and huge claims were raised against me. There is some manipulation or trick by which the outstanding claims of one person are made the liabilities of other person. One such case of Paliwal STD Booth at Deonagar Road, Jodhpur was published in News Papers and I suppose that some similar type of trick is being played with me also. Kindly conduct a detail inquiry in this matter, so that action can be taken against them.
2. Since I am working as FA & CAO in Rajasthan State Government Department, I am frequently transferred from one department to another. On such occasions my resident telephone also needs to be shifted . Every time the authorities of BSNL delay the matter and cause lot of harassment. They remove the telephone of the old department the very day but do not install another telephone of new department where I have been posted for many months.
3. For example when I was posted in Rajasthan Aayurved University, Jodhpur the official telephone at my residence was 2711442 and during my posting in that department from July, 05 to July, 06 bills of very high amount were raised since government permits only 200 calls per month. I have to deposit that entire amount personally from my own pocket. When the authorities of BSNL were contacted they said that there is some technical default that we are trying to remove but no correction were made and I deposited amount worth 50, 000 to 60, 000.
4. One telephone in the name of my wife Smt. Pushpa Goyal was install at my residence 11/634 Chopasni Housing Board, Jodhpur and its number was 2701485 for quite a long time we were regularly making payment of the bills. Ultimately for the month of August, 2005 to Nov., 2005 BSNL raise the bills of Rs. 10516/-. We were so fad up that we requested the department to adjust security amount with interest against the above pending bill and can take balance amount from us. But the authorities of the department demanded bribe specially Senior AO Shri Paliwal was adamant that either I pay bribe to him or he will lodge an FIR in the police station. Since we wanted to discontinue the phone, which was our legal right, so we continue to request to adjust the outstanding amount. He even sent two persons to our house that threatened my family members and misbehaved with them. Ultimately Shri Paliwal made a complained to Police and we being law-abiding citizens deposited the amount on 30.4.2008.
5. We have also received a notice for outstanding recoveries for Rs. 1140/- for a telephone No. 2704873 in the name of Smt. Pushpa Goyal. This telephone was never install at our house.
6. I informed to General Manager BSNL Jodhpur Shri Anupam Sriwastava vide letter No. 2660 dt. 29.6.06 about some of the discrepancies in the capacity of Registrar, Rajasthan Aayurved University, Jodhpur but no attention was paid to it.
Kindly take action on all the above points of my complaint filling which I will have to a go in the shelter of law. Meanwhile I request that all the following connection of BSNL in my name and also in the name of my wife must immediately be disconnected and I am ready to pay any outstanding till today. If you continue after this day we will not be responsible to pay the outstanding bills.

I tried a lot to activate caller tune my mobile but every time i get the dissatisfaction and there was nobody to help me out. Neither i got the correct web address for himachal caller tunes.
I called many times on customer care but nobody taken care of that.
So i just changed my number.
Overcharged BILL
BSNL people had enabled the Broadband connection on 29th Feb, 2008, evening (last day of the month). But they have charged me for the full month from 1st Feb, 2008. I went to the BSNL office, spoke to the account officer over phone but no one is giving proper response. Can anyone help me out on how to escalate or solve this issue with BSNL? They have charged me 900 rupees extra.

From my cellphone am not able to send sms from last 1 month. I launched a complaint on 18th(Complaint No:D1800229). Every day am calling to BSNL Callcentre([protected]), every day some or other person(Bhagya, Bhavya, Shakuntala, Abhilasha, Chetan, Devi, Gayatri, Etc) will pick the call and tell next day it will be ok. Very poor service kindly help me. My Mobile No is [protected]. The number is with my Grand Father's name, i.e Manjunath Jois. We are reciding in Bangalore.The callcentre people are herrazing me.
