I’ve been to the BioLife on McKnight road twice now. Each time I have been there the person at the front Dess has been extremely rude. This past time I went in and the person barely knowledged me at the front. I could hardly understand him and when I had to ask again what he needed me to do he gave me an attitude. They put me in a room where I waited for more than 20 minutes past my appointment time that I felt like I shouldn’t have been in because it looked like a conference room and it made me feel very uncomfortable because no one else was in there with me. When I got called to come out I was at the front for a short amount of time and then I was told to follow the guy to the nurses office and there was no nurses in the office he told me to wait in the hallway for a nurse to come and that was it. About five minutes later three nurses I think one or two of them are training they come up to the hallway stared at me and asked me “what I was there for?” confused I said “I’m not sure I think I’m here for a physical the guy just brought me over told me to sit and wait”. A couple of seconds went by and one of the nurses asked me “well did you do your fingerprint they ask you questions etc?”. I said “no, but I did it the first time I was here but I had to leave right before I did my physical because something happened so I don’t know if maybe I don’t have to do it again?” Right then and there two out of the three nurses yelled and jump down my throat saying “no! that’s not true you still have to do it again so why are you here?” in a very rude way. I again repeated myself and said “I don’t know the guy brought me here and told me to sit down and wait for a nurse to come maybe you should ask him.”. At that point I was told to go into the office with the two nurses and they proceeded to ask me questions. I’m sorry but that is no way to talk to someone who is in there for donating plasma if I said the first time I am not sure the guy just told me to sit here and wait I feel like one of those nurses should’ve went to the front or asked for my name and asked one of the guys upfront why I was sitting here waiting instead of being rude to me because I was not given the proper information that they needed. Well after that I went to go get my vitals checked and two of the nurses who had approached me the first time asked if they could watch him while I get checked for my veins and I said it was fine. The guy then put the rubber band around my arm put it around my left arm he was able to find a vein put it around my right arm and had made a comment about my tattoos. Well I am very heavily tattooed on my arms and on my right arm I have a tattoo that is in the inside of my elbow where most of my veins are, the first time I was here I had no issues with my tattoos they were able to find a vein. never once did anyone ever say that I could not donate if my tattoos were covering any of my veins. Well One of the nurses who was training made a comment about not being able to stick me close to my tattoo and the guy said “no that’s not true, we just can’t stick it directly in the ink” and they started going back-and-forth about if they can do it or not right in front of me which I found that to be very unprofessional. Well the guy had trouble finding a vain in my right arm so he calls for a second opinion when the other nurse finally came over and saw my arm the first thing she said with an attitude was “well you can’t stick it directly in the ink!” Whereas the guy explain to her I know that I just need a second opinion on finding a vein. while she was looking and looking and she started tapping next to my ink and the guys “like do you feel that be right there that’s where I was thinking that we could that vain next to her ink” and she “said I feel it but that’s nothing I would stick anything in” and they were literally talking about me with an attitude in front of me. And then she walked away and the guys like “unfortunately you don’t have any good veins that we can use so you can’t donate” and that was it. No follow up no recommendations no nothing. I asked him “is this for the rest of my life I can’t donate is there anything I can do to make my vein stronger like is there anything I can do to help fix this?” and he just stared at me and said you just can’t donate and I was like OK and I walked out. I’m sorry but this is the most unprofessional place I have ever walked into and I have worked in retail with people for the past 10 years and I don’t think I have ever been treated so poorly before. I know plenty of people Who are fully tattooed on both arms and they donate every week. The first time I was in there not one person not one single person said anything about my tattoos and actually the nurse was able to find a vein and I’m pretty sure it was underneath my tattoo and didn’t say one word about it not being viable because my tattoo was over it. My tattoos are extremely extremely visible he saw that I had a tattoo over the inside of my elbow where my veins are and not once did he say anything or say let me check this before we move any further. Every single person I encountered yesterday was extremely rude and disrespectful. Honestly every single person in that bio life center should be fired and replace for how they treat their customers. I will never recommend a single person to walk into that plasma center and donate their plasma to them just because of how rude and disrespectful they treated me not once but twice.
Grandville mi biolife
I’ve been donating for over 3 years. I know they’ve been taking patients for way longer than that. Why is it they cannot seem to figure out a smooth process!? Waiting an hour just to check my vitals. Another 30 minutes just to get a chair. Another 20 minutes to get poked. Another 10 minutes to get me off the machine and out of this place!? WHAT IS THE POINT OF APPOINTMENTS!? This place should run like the movie theater! You know what time and how many appointments you have. You know the average time it takes to pump. You know how many chairs you have in the building. You know how many workers are scheduled! For the life of me; I’ll NEVER UNDERSTAND. It’s absolutely ridiculous! This place should run smooth as butter. FAR FROM IT! on top of that; these workers are joking around, taking their sweet time! JOKE
Desired outcome: STAY TRUE TO YOUR APPOINTMENTS!

Employee
The last 2 times I have donated when I have to wait in line I notice there is on phlebotomy who never changes her gloves literally help more than 5 people without changing them I have complained to other staff but it seems to have done nothing. she actually helped me the last time I donated and again she didn't change her gloves her name is Kiya I'm sorry but this is absolutely disgusting you are dealing with blood they need to be changed for ever donor not just when you feel like it. This is for the safety of all donors not just herself.
Desired outcome: She needs to be educated on how important blood pathogens are and how dangerous her not changing her gloves is. I will not continue to donate if this isn't taken care of.

Tattoo from over a year ago
6/16/2022 I was getting a physical forgot about back tattoo I got over a year ago was told I could come back next day if I found a picture of it from a year or old so I found one and took it back the next day was told I could come back after the date of the picture to donate went back 3 days after the picture and was told I was deferred the place is a joke
Desired outcome: Deferred for no reason

Plasma referral bonus
My name is Pamela Babbs and I referred my neighbor Shakina Gentry. She has already given 4 donations but I did not receive the referral bonus. When I called Biolife Lewisville and told them Shakina said she provide this information to Tyler during the interview. I spoke with several people and was left on hold for 30 minutes. When the supervisor got on the phone she started explaining company procedures. I told her once we provide staff with the information, we do not have control over them entering this information into the system. This supervisor was rude, overtalked me, and became argumenative. I will file a BBB complaint if I don't receive my referral bonus.
Desired outcome: Pay me my referral bonus
Plasma donation
They lost my protein sample, blamed it on UPS, and didn't have the courtesy to call me and let me know I couldn't donate. I drive approx. 30 miles round trip and with gas $6 a gallon this is totally robbery. They said they would call me when I could donate, but they won't. You try to get a hold of them no answer and straight to voicemail. Leave a voicemail...

This is just a copy paste of my original Google review, so excuse the fact that this is three reviews compounded into one. They refused to ever read it so I kept adding on as more awful experiences occurred. Here they are!
One more review. My other two are still below, obviously never read or given a sh* about in the slightest by BioLife. This review will be short: GO ANYWHERE ELSE. There is not another company that hires such disorganized, confused, and pissed off workers that just treat you like cattle. The doctor that has to verbally you a 5 minute speech, for literal legal reasons, did not say it out loud. She had it recorded on her phone. Where is the privacy in her being on her phone? And why bother putting on your gloves if you're just going to touch your phone and computer which are both covered in your sweat and fecal particles? While she played me this so-called very important speech on her phone, she was looking for trucks on KSL. Do I not matter? Is the office really the place to be doing your personal chores? Just do yourself a favor, don't bother with the idiots here, go LITERALLY anywhere else. They will treat you better, they will respect you more (or AT ALL), and they won't be such a pile of confused freaks running with their heads cut off.
Below is my LAST TWO WONDERFUL REVIEWS. Maybe READ IT BIOLIFE. YOUR RIVERTON LOCATION IS A VERY NEARLY LITERAL GARBAGE FIRE.
Obviously my last review was never seen or read so I'm leaving it down after this one. Just wanted to let everyone know, make absolute sure that you bring headphones. If they're wireless, make sure they are CHARGED to 100%. During my four hour wait today they've decided to play Megan Thee Stallion, Nikki Minaj, Doja Cat, Erica Banks - if that means nothing to you, it's the garbage TikTok music about having a sexy body (body-ody-ody-ody), butts & [censored], N words, tits, twerking, god only knows what else. I'd be fine with it if it was on shuffle, through a variety of music, but GOD D*MN this music is terrible.
Shoutout to the "owner" for responding to EVERYONE else's reviews but never mine. What an absolutely horrible company.
Here's my other review from the past.
When you go in, it's a very easy process usually. The people are great, they treat you with respect. Don't ever think about calling them with a question, though. In the past, I've called and left a message multiple times and have never gotten a response. Today, I had a time-sensitive question. I needed a response today. So I called them, was sent to voicemail after 8 seconds, so I kept calling them. I wanted a response today. Finally they answered and go "Hello, you've been VERY persistent, I was on another call, what do you need?" So I started my question and she cuts me off with "Uh-huh, and?"
This is NOT respectful or caring at all. At the end she had the snarkiest and rudest "Thanks, bye". Thanks guys. Putting *ssholes on the phone is wonderful. Find better people to answer questions on the phone. Literally DON'T send me to voicemail after 8 seconds when I have a TIME-SENSITIVE QUESTION. I am willing to wait a few minutes for a person to talk to, since you refuse to ever call back about any messages I've left.
Hopefully this review even gets read. Obviously my last one didn't.
Desired outcome: Literally anything. I want ANYTHING to come out of this.
Permanent dismissal / green bay, wisconsin. Finger road
I was a previous donor in 2015.
I tried to reenroll today 6/11/22. I was permanently disqualified due to mixed info regarding an ear piercing.
I have my ears pierced twice 2 holes in each ear and have since I was 12 years old. The nurse stated it wasn't in my 2015 disclosure (how do I know someone didn't forget to add this 7 years ago) I don't wear earrings in the second hole and never do and haven't tried for years, they are closed. I am confused and shocked at this, treated me like I did something wrong and I did not, this should be changed.
Desired outcome: Permanently disqualified removed from my chart and a better explanation of why i was dismissed, because it makes zero sense and you made me look bad.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer's satisfaction.
How was this resolves? I am having the same issue and missing out on donating due to permanent deferment!
Incident
It’s been weeks since I reported a bad review. I reached out to Christopher Kreeger on this incident. And no update was returned on his behalf. Per my previous complaints at this facility he called & emailed me I hoping I would continue coming back to BioLife. The only concern I have that he verbally stated on the call was none of the texts are certified to which indicates no training to insert a needle. Secondly, states that they do not follow OSHA or HIPPA.

Customer service
The BioLife located in Morrow Ga is awful at customer service. The managements attitude towards not only me but other patients are totally unfair and disgraceful.
Desired outcome: Better management.
Villa park location
This location is misleading and not informative about your next payment. I still had $100 and received $20. There's NO WAY I WOULD DONATE MY PLASMA FOR $20! I DON'T CARE IF I CAME IN ON THE 31ST I STILL SHOULD HAVE OR WAS TOLD I WAS ONLY RECEIVING $20. IM NOT THAT HARD UP FOR $20. SAD ANYWAY that you all would give anyone $20.
Desired outcome: I want the rest of my $100 owed $80. I will not refer anyone to Bio plasma you guys are ripping people off. $20..
Staff
Everytime I go to this place the staff is very rude to me. They don’t want me there when I went yesterday they act like they didn’t even remember me as a regular donor. I really think they need new staff there. everyone questions were in English except for mines was in Spanish I believe they did this to discourage me from coming I also think they ignore me...

I have been treated horribly by the staff at the center in Mobile, AL. The technician that did my plasma donation after 6:30 pm on May 25, 2022 calibrated the machine so fast in which there was leakage at the needle site and arm pain for about one week . I was in on Saturday, June 4, 2022. My pulse was elevated for a third time when it is always normal at...

I donated plasma on 06/03/2022 and ended up receiving a hematoma and phlebitis. When contacting this specific center I was informed by a nurse that I could be reimbursed for my doctor visit. Once completing the doctor visit I went to the center right after and was told by another nurse, Ashley, and the manager, Jaqui, that they do not normally reimburse...

Read full review of BioLife Plasma ServicesTime of donation
I donated plasma on 6/2 everything seemed fine once they poked me with the needle but after the first return I knew something was wrong. It was busy so no one could help me, someone finally came over and I felt like my bicep was going to explode. It was hard and very uncomfortable. He took it out and proceeded to try the other arm but then he said we were done for the night and he got the nurse. She came over and said might be bruising but I’ll be fine, gave me a Gatorade some goldfish and that was it. I went home crying and I’m so much pain. My arm was so swollen. The next day I went in and the nurse was so nonchalant about it and said some bruising was normal and that was it. Over the next couple of days the swelling got worse, the bruising got worse and the pain got worse. On 6/7 I went to the hospital to run some tests and do an ultrasound. Every nurse said they have never seen it this bad
Mounds view BioLife not letting donate because of house arrest
I had to see the nurse for new medication and a bruise so I let him know I was on house arrest cuz I only had so much time and that just led to him asking more questions about my house arrest in finally sent me out to donate and then 5 minutes later he comes and gets me tells me they don't know the policy of somebody that's on house arrest if they can let them donate I talked to the manager they didn't know the policy either kind of think it's a little bit invasion of privacy and there is no reason to not let somebody donate just because they have a GPS so they wasted a half an hour of my time and then let me know that I couldn't donate and invade my privacy
Permanent deferment
I was going to one plasma donation center but I was dissatisfied because they let some people skip me and once I complained I just stopped going to the facility so I went and started going to BioLife I went and donated plasma one time but when I went back to donate the second time I had issues they made me come in three different times on three different occasions only to tell me I will be permanently deferred because of the understanding that I have went to another facility prior to coming to them if they had to explain the situation to me and we talked about it it could have been resolved without me being deferred because I no longer go to the other plasma center so a permanent deferral I don't think it's justified especially if I didn't understand the rules I never tried to do plasma donation at two different locations because I value my life so for them to permanent defer me without even really discussing the situation with me and getting a better understanding I think was too extreme
Desired outcome: Permanently deferred
Permanent deferral
Hello, My name is Jill Beaudoin and I have been donating since BioLife opened in Tempe AZ. I had two medical issues they wanted clearance from my doctor. I answered the questions on the form and my doctor looked it over and then signed the form. BioLife permanently deferred me. They said I forged the form. My doctor read the form and he signed it so I disagree with this. I offered to have them call my doctor or I would have my doctor resend the form from the doctors office. I feel if they wanted to punish me then defer me for a period. Deferral for life is ridiculous. I feel like if plasma is needed so bad, you shouldn’t be deferred for frivolous things. Thank You
Desired outcome: I would like to have my doctor send the forms from his office and I would like to be able to donate again and help people.
Injury due to improper placement of needle
I went to the BioLife located in Tempe, AZ. and the phlebotomist that did the needle placement for me lodged the needle in too deep causing too much pressure. After the plasma draw was done my arm felt awful and heavy. I have limited mobility in my arm and immense swelling. Contacted them and they plainly told me that they gave me a hematoma. Something truly has to change, specifically the training that the phlebotomist receive. It’s usually a hit or miss when going in because not everyone is good at needle placement.
Desired outcome: Every time an injury like this occurs donors should receive a sum of compensation and their training needs to be improved so as to avoid instances such as these.
