Donation & Scheduling
I have been donating plasma for awhile now but after these last few weeks I believe that BioLife has gone down hill. They seem to keep over scheduling for appointments and understaffing their centers. This has caused the employees to rush during donations and this last time I went I had an issue which has never happened. This could be prevented if they...

Why are donor fees different in different counties of the same state? And why, with inflation being what it currently is, do your donor fees keep going down when other plasma donation services pay twice as much? My time should not less valuable than last week, and it certainly isn’t less valuable than a neighboring county. Crazy! I feel devalued!
Bruising
I am disappointed I started donating in June . And have only been able to do it 3 times. And on August 2nd my coupon will expire. I have be refused because off the bruises. I have a friend who has donated 300 times and havent had this problem. I really want to continue. I have an appointment for Tuesday but I think the bruise is going to stop me once again.
I would like to continue with Donating is there anyway I can get someone who is an expert to do it so I can be a more Productive with my donations. At this point I should have received my total bonus. But only have received a small amount. Thanks Rita the photos off the bruise is after a week.
Company is descriminating against us.
The first time I went in I had my id on me but not mail, or my social and they plugged in my social on their computer to check me that way, and told me for the first donation they could left the mail slide, but for any donations after that I would need a piece of mail with my name and address. Well my blood pressure was a little high then so they told me I could return, I did and they asked for mail despite telling me the first time they would wave it. I mentioned I didn't have a first time because my blood pressure was a little high, so I waited a few days and returned, and then they changed the wording...ok fine.
I got my fiancee to go instead since most of the bills are in his name so he gets most of the mail. We don't have state id's for Florida yet due to lack of funds now, something they told me was fine since they said the name just had to match what was on the mail.
He went in today, showed them all the necessary documents, and was called a liar and told we didn't live here, even though our condo is a 7 minute walk from the biolife place. Why lie each time and say something is fine, only to change what you say each time?
We are having a hard time financially, that's why I was trying. We tried for food stamps and they told us we make too much, even though the bulk of the money goes into our condo payment, electric bill, and phone. I was going to use the money from when we donated for food.
I feel like we are being discriminated against due either being originally from another state or our age. So are you guys racist too on top of that, sexist...anything else?
Desired outcome: I would just like to be able to go in and donate and move past all of this, but if they keep changing the rules each time we go over not sure it will happen.
No leniency on appointment
I made an appointment at 6:05 for 6:10 and I was 10 minutes away I called and they said that was fine then the bus was training somebody so it was way stupid late and so when you're 45 minutes late they make you sit and wait for 8 to 10 hours so that you can take their way way in the afternoon schedule instead of just squeezing you in like they should when you went out of your way to be here to donate to save people bunch of crap and I believe I will find somewhere else to donate unless you let me now.
Also the security guard working this morning seems like she thinks she knows me so when I walk back into inquire about maybe talking to somebody like a supervisor or squeezing in she is bashing me to the employee up front as they stand there and laugh don't give me anybody else to talk to you and just say no I'm sorry with a little smirk on their face so that's how you treat people who are donating to save lives really not interested in dealing with you rude rude rude
Desired outcome: That security guard to never be on site again and you guys have more latency with people we can't control the buses and when they decide that they are going to do training with new drivers and drive 2 miles an hour you know that's not fair
Customer Service
This companies customer service is horrible. I have put in multiple requests for contact on the corporate website in which upon submitting it states you will be contacted within 3 business days and I have not heard back once in over a month.
I have also requested a call back from a manager 2 times from my donation center in Denton. TX and have not had the call returned. I have referred multiple people to this service/company and will not be any longer. They don't care about their customers, only their bottom line.
Wait, you want me to go thru the same process I have already gone threw 3 times and expect a different result? How about you find my already existing contacts via my name, and reach out to me. I'm not going to continue jumping thru hoops.

I am complaining about an employee at the FM 1960 location
I had gone through the whole process of my first time donating and made it to the interview. This really tall black lady with braids asked me one question "what did you eat today?" And i told her I had a glass of milk, water and a breakfast burrito from taco bell she immediately shut me down and said i hadn't eaten enough and she wanted to "terminate" the...

Do not use them! Go anywhere else! They pay $20, screw you out of promo codes and tell you "sorry"
They get paid by your donation - boycott this dump!
I became a donor for the $850 pay out. My initial spe sample was short.1 of protein, they made me wait a week to retake, so I did. Then another week for the sample results, then another week for the doctor to review and approve. By this time I was now a month out, and my "coupon" expired. So when I donates, expecting the $110, I got $20.00 and eas told sorry, your coupon expired. You are the reason it expired! You delayed this for a month so you wouldnt have to pay! Fix this!
Desired outcome: Fix this...give me a BETTER PAYOUT COUPON! And be a better company

Compensation $20
I donated twice in 2018 at the Hayden, ID Biolife for $50 and $60. Now on 7/19/2022 I brought in a promo for 8 donations at $850 that was not valid as I was not considered a new donor. So I was paid $20 minus a $5 fee for a new card. $15 is ridiculous. I would never have wasted my time and gas for $15. I could have tracked down a returning donor promo code if I was aware of how thing worked. Unfortunately the phone service was so slow in the building I was not able to do so during my appointment.
Desired outcome: Other promo codes exist. I just happened to bring in the wrong one. Compensate me appropriately considering inflation doubled the price of everything since I last visited 4 years ago. The pay rate of $20 / $65 is insane.
No communication found. However a 4.95 and 50.00 appeared. Fair enough. Thanks.
Compensation
I was told I receive an extra $20 for my first donation as well as my $80, I was only paid $20 for a 883 ml donation! I was at the casselbetry fl location on July 16th 2022 3:30pm
Desired outcome: Full compensation for plasma received.
Plasma donation
7/15/22 time 3:55 pm. I arrived feeling fine and checked in. 3rd visit. First 2 visits went fine. No issues. While taking my vitals my BP is fine as usual. I'm 55 years old. I have a resting heart rate of between 90 and 110 at any given time. I also have ADHD. My heart rate was 101. They said it had to be below 100 for me to donate. I sat down for a bit as directed. Took my own heart rate using my apple watch 7. I got 95, 97, and 98. They took mine again after 15 minutes and said it was too high again. Do you guys want anyone to be able to donate? Why is a heart rate of 101 in a perfectly health male of 55 years, 185lb 6ft tall and BP 172 over 78 bad?
Desired outcome: I would like a little leniency considering my situation. My doctor knows it runs high and is not concerned. No heart problem history. I would like to donate plasma, it's very important to me to help where I can. Thanks.
Employee mistake
Hi I went to donate plasma I never had a problem donating ,until I start coming here first time they blame it on the machine ,,this time they blame it on me ,, but before the lady stuck she made a comment about me having small veins I ask her three times ask could she see them she said yes,,than she stuck quickly but fast she came back twice to adjust I ask her was it kool she said yes but it wasn’t than they ask to stick my other arm I refuse because the last time they through the blood away said they couldn’t put it back this time I no she was wrong I have a report from urgent care so y’all could see she needs to be fire
Desired outcome: She need to be fired and plus I would of got 65 I only received 20 im go seek and attorney because she need to lose her job

Plasma donation compensation
I donated at the Ypsilanti center on 7/13/2022 and they paid me $20 even though it was my second donation in the same 7 day period. Their excuse: our week starts on a Tuesday…something no one bothered to tell me so instead of a $20 and a $60 payment, they gave me two $20 payments. Keep in mind they sell these units for about $400 per unit so for $800 worth of plasma, they couldn’t even give me the promised $80. Instead they used a technicality to screw me over. Also at the Elgin center in Illinois they punctured my vein which gave me a massive bruise. Finally when I signed up, I brought a $900 coupon for my first eight visits, but was told, they don’t honor those even though I printed it out from their own website. All in all a very bad experience.
Desired outcome: Depends on how long they want to read about their lack of integrity and scruples online because I am making it my mission to let everyone know about this company until they make things right with me!
First time doners
I started donating June 16th. I have a 1st time doners coupon that pays up to $800 first month. I had no issues passing first 3 screenings. On the third donation they attempted to take 880ml from me wich is 40 ml over my limit according to federal guidelines. I became dizzy and blacked out at 870 ml. Now I have been attempting to donate to meet my special promo amount per donation and they keep telling me either my hermetic rate is too low by .5% or my protein is too high or I am too hydrated. Bunch of crock. When protein was too high two days ago my hermetic read 45% now today it's 37.5%. I only have 4 more days to try and get the promotional pay. They won't extend it. Bet once I am only set at $20 base pay I won't have any low hermetic levels etc...it's bull crap!
Desired outcome: Extend my coupon
Second donation amount for the week
Hello,
I have been donating at the Hayden Idaho BioLife Center since it first opened. I do not understand why the companies decided to give their donors only $65 for the second donation of the week that is not right and something needs to be done about it if you want to keep donors coming back. I called the center and Hayden and they said they've had a lot of complaints about this issue. It would be greatly appreciated if you could do something about this problem and add money on to your donors second donation thank you you, Kelly Kennedy
Must be a training facility 1st donation lady didnt tighten bottle plasma went on floor twice wasn't wrapped good bled out today didnt get poked right got giant bruise I'm done .
Deferred
My questions showed up in Spanish so I exited out and then was not able to start again. The nurse said that I was deferred for the day because she couldn’t unlock me. This was my second donation for the week and a Saturday so I’m no able to collect my $60 after driving 20 miles to donate. I have donated for over 13 years and feel like they come up with new ways to turn donors away. Had I been offered any kind of compensation, I’d have been satisfied. There is no excuse for the lock out with thr modern technology available.
Desired outcome: Compensation for my time.
Pay
I went to bio life today July 4th 2022 in desperate need of cash, I donated per usual and upon leaving several minutes went by without me being paid, I contacted the center I donated at (6331 Kenowa Ave Sw, Granville Mi) and asked to speak with a manager concerning this. I waited on hold for over 10 minutes just to be hung up on and rude to. The manager stated that payments are supposed to take up to 24 hours to post which never was visible for me or any other donors to make a decision on if my time or gas was worth the drive. It’s not clear anywhere on your site or the center I visited about the payment process, which it should if it’s true, in order to give me the option of if I would like to move along with donating my plasma. The manager Quinnette is one of the rudest most nonchalant, inconsiderate managers I’ve ever delt with in any establishment. She’s careless to situations in this manner and it was nothing she did to go out her way to figure this situation out besides being rude, since I was in need of the funds asap as it is usually available like that from previous donations, my entire holiday was ruined because I set around waiting on money I probably won’t ever see. I’m reaching out to see how this situation could be resolved and how I’ll receive my funds and how will BioLife make this right. I’m not looking to hear apologies or excuses, if your business is open to accept donations it should be open as well to pay donors. The worst experience thus far from BioLife and im really considering leaving this company and visiting CSL, where there are guaranteed payments waiting.
Desired outcome: Being paid and definitely being compensated for my time wasted and ruined holiday
Deferral
The BioLife on 3101 Greenway road deferred me saying that I had been talked to five times about my physical appearance and smelling like cigarettes five times about my physical appearance and smelling like cigarettes but I had only been talked to three times so I wanna get this taken care of, Thank you. This happened on June 28th
Desired outcome: Them allowing me to donate again
Unprofessional
I’ve been to the BioLife on McKnight road twice now. Each time I have been there the person at the front Dess has been extremely rude. This past time I went in and the person barely knowledged me at the front. I could hardly understand him and when I had to ask again what he needed me to do he gave me an attitude. They put me in a room where I waited for more than 20 minutes past my appointment time that I felt like I shouldn’t have been in because it looked like a conference room and it made me feel very uncomfortable because no one else was in there with me. When I got called to come out I was at the front for a short amount of time and then I was told to follow the guy to the nurses office and there was no nurses in the office he told me to wait in the hallway for a nurse to come and that was it. About five minutes later three nurses I think one or two of them are training they come up to the hallway stared at me and asked me “what I was there for?” confused I said “I’m not sure I think I’m here for a physical the guy just brought me over told me to sit and wait”. A couple of seconds went by and one of the nurses asked me “well did you do your fingerprint they ask you questions etc?”. I said “no, but I did it the first time I was here but I had to leave right before I did my physical because something happened so I don’t know if maybe I don’t have to do it again?” Right then and there two out of the three nurses yelled and jump down my throat saying “no! that’s not true you still have to do it again so why are you here?” in a very rude way. I again repeated myself and said “I don’t know the guy brought me here and told me to sit down and wait for a nurse to come maybe you should ask him.”. At that point I was told to go into the office with the two nurses and they proceeded to ask me questions. I’m sorry but that is no way to talk to someone who is in there for donating plasma if I said the first time I am not sure the guy just told me to sit here and wait I feel like one of those nurses should’ve went to the front or asked for my name and asked one of the guys upfront why I was sitting here waiting instead of being rude to me because I was not given the proper information that they needed. Well after that I went to go get my vitals checked and two of the nurses who had approached me the first time asked if they could watch him while I get checked for my veins and I said it was fine. The guy then put the rubber band around my arm put it around my left arm he was able to find a vein put it around my right arm and had made a comment about my tattoos. Well I am very heavily tattooed on my arms and on my right arm I have a tattoo that is in the inside of my elbow where most of my veins are, the first time I was here I had no issues with my tattoos they were able to find a vein. never once did anyone ever say that I could not donate if my tattoos were covering any of my veins. Well One of the nurses who was training made a comment about not being able to stick me close to my tattoo and the guy said “no that’s not true, we just can’t stick it directly in the ink” and they started going back-and-forth about if they can do it or not right in front of me which I found that to be very unprofessional. Well the guy had trouble finding a vain in my right arm so he calls for a second opinion when the other nurse finally came over and saw my arm the first thing she said with an attitude was “well you can’t stick it directly in the ink!” Whereas the guy explain to her I know that I just need a second opinion on finding a vein. while she was looking and looking and she started tapping next to my ink and the guys “like do you feel that be right there that’s where I was thinking that we could that vain next to her ink” and she “said I feel it but that’s nothing I would stick anything in” and they were literally talking about me with an attitude in front of me. And then she walked away and the guys like “unfortunately you don’t have any good veins that we can use so you can’t donate” and that was it. No follow up no recommendations no nothing. I asked him “is this for the rest of my life I can’t donate is there anything I can do to make my vein stronger like is there anything I can do to help fix this?” and he just stared at me and said you just can’t donate and I was like OK and I walked out. I’m sorry but this is the most unprofessional place I have ever walked into and I have worked in retail with people for the past 10 years and I don’t think I have ever been treated so poorly before. I know plenty of people Who are fully tattooed on both arms and they donate every week. The first time I was in there not one person not one single person said anything about my tattoos and actually the nurse was able to find a vein and I’m pretty sure it was underneath my tattoo and didn’t say one word about it not being viable because my tattoo was over it. My tattoos are extremely extremely visible he saw that I had a tattoo over the inside of my elbow where my veins are and not once did he say anything or say let me check this before we move any further. Every single person I encountered yesterday was extremely rude and disrespectful. Honestly every single person in that bio life center should be fired and replace for how they treat their customers. I will never recommend a single person to walk into that plasma center and donate their plasma to them just because of how rude and disrespectful they treated me not once but twice.
Grandville mi biolife
I’ve been donating for over 3 years. I know they’ve been taking patients for way longer than that. Why is it they cannot seem to figure out a smooth process!? Waiting an hour just to check my vitals. Another 30 minutes just to get a chair. Another 20 minutes to get poked. Another 10 minutes to get me off the machine and out of this place!? WHAT IS THE POINT OF APPOINTMENTS!? This place should run like the movie theater! You know what time and how many appointments you have. You know the average time it takes to pump. You know how many chairs you have in the building. You know how many workers are scheduled! For the life of me; I’ll NEVER UNDERSTAND. It’s absolutely ridiculous! This place should run smooth as butter. FAR FROM IT! on top of that; these workers are joking around, taking their sweet time! JOKE
Desired outcome: STAY TRUE TO YOUR APPOINTMENTS!
