First let me just suggest DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM CAMPING WORLD!
My father-in-law and my husband purchased a brand new motorhome from Camping World and it has been NOTHING BUT TROUBLE. They never "detailed" it properly and that should have been a sign of things to come. The service department is next to impossible to reach unless you show up in person. The "Good Sam Roadside assistance" is wasted money! The service they attempt to provide is totally unacceptable!
My 2018 motorhome has only 2100 miles and on the 3rd of July 2019 this motorhome DIED! It would not start at all and left me stranded at an HEB parking lot with groceries. The roadside assistance claimed they couldn't find anyone to go out (3:30pm) due to the next day being July 4th. I had to get a rental car and a hotel for 2 nights before I was able to get the motorhome towed...THANK God for MERCEDES roadside assistance who came within an hour on the 5th of July. Mercedes diagnosed the problem as "improper outfitting " by Camping World. Wires were crossed and caused fuses to short out resulting in my getting stranded. The motorhome was at the Mercedes dealership for one week then we had to drive the 2.5 hours back to Corpus to get the motorhome...all at OUR EXPENSE! This is frustrating as we pay over $600 a month for a motorhome we can't even depend on and it only has 2100 miles..."transport miles" when we bought it had it at almost 1700 so we've not even been able to go 500 miles without issue. On top of everything the generator doesn't work and because it's under warranty we HAVE TO go back to Camping World so we don't pay even more out of our pocket.
GO SOMEWHERE ELSE OR BE PREPARED FOR PROBLEMS WITH NO ACCEPTABLE SOLUTIONS!
customer service
I hate to even give them 1 star but it didn't have a zero! This may be a long review but should be read. I also reported them to the B.B.B. and I'm waiting to see how it is handled.
my name is Brandy Phillips. I bought a camper in April of this year. I have had several issues. Let me start by saying I paid full listing price for the camper I bought. They actually charged more than they were supposed to.
Problems since day of purchase.
I had 2 dates set for delivery that the camper did not come. No one notified me that they were not coming. I had to call and ask where they were, both dates that they did not show. Then, finally they brought it. It was supposed to be cleaned which did not happen. It was dusty. The refrigerator still stunk like a dead animal. The vents were filthy. The windows were all dirty. The floors, shower, cabinets, sink and toilet were all dirty. Nothing was done. We can't get the smell out of the refrigerator. The fireplace was broken and supposed to be fixed. It was not. I had a pricing issue, I was charged more than I was supposed to be. I finally, after many attempts was told it was for a destination package which is not listed anywhere or approved by us. It was added without my consent. It is supposed to be for hoses. I don't have the hoses they say I paid for. This is the newest issue as of today. I have not received my title or tags which I paid for. I have spoken to and even went to the clerks office in Cheatham County and they absolutely do not have any paperwork for us on this. I can't take it anywhere or get insurance on it due to this. I have sent multiple requests this to be dealt with and that request was sent to several people at the Nashville lot. At this point I want to return the camper and get my money back. I feel that Camping World of Nashville is careless, lacking customer skills and careless when it comes to appointment times, funds, guarantees were in no way fulfilled. My next step is to take the paperwork, emails, texts and marketplace messages to the attorne. This has now been over two months since the purchase and none of the staff I have dealt with is willing to deal with it. Since I filed the complaint with the BBB they wrote that they had come to a resolution with me. I had not spoke to them at that time. I certainly did not and have not come to a resolution. Camping World did however get with the BBB the day U fikesmd there complaint with the BBB. To bad nome of the employees, managers or even the C.E.O. Marcus Anthony Lemonis could find the time to speak to me. I originally fell in love with the camper. I hate the company has treated me like I am insignificant. Camping World depends on it's customers. I hope if you sre reading this that you think twie about purchasing a camper from Camping World.
montana high country
I brought a brand new Montana high country 5th wheel camper for your kissemmee, Florida location. And have nothing but problems with this camper. From the washer/dryer that was installed and Never tested. That it dumped water all over my floor. Just this location customer service is the worst that I ever had to dead with. In my dealings with camping world. Thank you, Nick LaConte

My name is Kristine Sawyer. I bought a 2018 toy hauler from one of the camping world locations out of Alvarado Texas, January of this year. This experience has been HIDEOUS, and it keeps dragging on.
The day that I went to pick up my new trailer my family and I were greeted warmly by Robert, Michael, and Randy. It was extremely cold outside, so Robert offered us coffee. We accepted the offer. Upon the acceptation, Robert said, "take as much as you would like, but it is probably cold. It was from this morning." After waiting about 30 minutes, a young man made his way to us. He was going to do the walk through on our new trailer. When we went in the trailer we discovered the trailer was filthy. I took pictures. There was hair in the shower drain, hair on the toilet, the air conditioner vent was unspeakable, the trailer had NEVER been cleaned. The manager nor our sales person cared or even tried to correct the issue. The finance guy talked badly about other employees as I was signing all my finance paperwork. I then had to ask several times to have a copy made of the paperwork I did sign. The whole experience was Horrible.
As we were leaving the dealership after 4 1/2 hours no one walked us out, no one said THANK YOU for coming. No, Congrats on the trailer, I hope you enjoy it. No. As I was leaving, I had the finance guy walk out to ask me, not to add his name in any bad reviews! This was my first trailer ever purchased.
I was glad it was all over, but still very anger that I was treated so poorly. Little did I know that it was long from over. We are 6 months into owning our trailer and can not get TAGS OR REGISTRATION. The camping world location can not seems to get the title on the trailer. I now have a trailer I am paying for and can not use or enjoy. To me it seems as if the dealership is not concerned. Was I sold a stolen trailer? 6 months seems excessive, why can we not get a title?
I understand that I did not buy the most expensive trailer on the lot, but I deserve customer service too. Because of this I am not even willing to go to the camping world store and buy wanted items for my family or trailer. I wanted to buy a bike from camping world, but I refuse to give you all another dollar.
I hope that this email helps another first time buyer, such as myself, not have to go through this hell.
Thank you for your time.
Sincerely,
Kristine Sawyer

repair of a newly purchased 2003 fleetwood fiesta
We purchased this 2003 Fleetwood Fiesta in Feb. planning a drive to Alaska, starting our trip May 30. I work for Homeland Security, was granted June, July, August time off. At time of purchase I inquired would the motorhome be repaired by March 31. The manager chuckled, replied it would be completed February 28. This is an older motorhome, I do realize parts are difficult to obtain. Today, June 24, we are still waiting. Obviously there cannot be a trip to Alaska. I regret buying this motorhome, feel if we had not paid ($14735.76) for it up front we would not have been put on the back burner while they are doing their current work. I have made numerous trips to Camping World, 1 1/4 hour each way. From Feb.11 to May 10, I have made 65 calls to Camping World to try to find out where we were on repairs. Camping World rarely returns calls. I printed the telephone bills out, showed them to the Service Manager. He did apologize, and told me they were working on customer service. We have spent additional funds to retrofit this 2003 Fleetwood Fiesta, it has turned into a nightmare. Thank you for your time.
customer service and price gouging
I brought my 2108 Palomino Solaire in to the Winchester VA Camping World on Saturday 6/22/19 for a part repair and to give me an estimate on a repair of a hole in my roof made by a limb falling on it. I did mention that my insurance would most likely cover the damage and asked them to call my adjustor with the price. The price quoted was over $6900! I am enclosing pictures of the hole and can assure you neither I nor my insurance will be paying that ridiculous price for this repair. Additionally there were some other minor things that I wanted looked at and the manager Kirk was exceptionally rude (rolling his eyes and informing us that it would cost about $50 to just LOOK at these items...for example a broken blind) I am furious about the nasty customer service this store provides. I will be looking elsewhere for future purchases and repairs. The quoted price for this roof repair is borderline criminal.

online order
In May of 2019 I ordered a bathroom roof vent for my RV and paid to have the order expedited and overnight delivered; mine was damaged during a storm. We are now in mid-June and although Gander (a Camping World subsidiary) has changed me for the product and service, they have yet to deliver my order or respond to my request. I contacted the Better Business Bureau and it appears that Camping World and Gander refuse to own up to the poor service because the BBB has now transferred my case multiple times.

fraud and lying
Bought a new Jayco travel trailer in January. Table was broken when we purchased it but they said it would be fixed before we picked it up. Picked it up and table wasn't repaired. Made a schedule to bring it back to have the table repaired. Also had the dewinterize done which cost over $70. Brought back to have table repaired and ask why the onboard water pump wasn't working. Turns out that they never did the dewinterization which would explain why I had to flush the system to get all the anti-freeze out. Pump wasn't working because they never turned the valve which would have been done had they actually dewinterized it. Argued for an hour with the service manager to get my $70 back for the work that wasn't done while he rolled his eyes and treated me as an annoyance for taking up his time. Jo, the service desk woman lied to me and said that they never flush the system of the anti-freeze but the technician said in front of her and the service manager that they always flush the system after a de-winterize. No respect to customers who just spent nearly $30, 000 and to argue and lie is beyond just dishonest. Still haven't received refund back.
service
This is for the Camping World on Jefferson Avenue in Newport News Virginia!
I am entering the 3rd week my 2019 Ford Gemini is sitting in Camping Worlds lot for someone to look at the fridge that did not start for my 1st trip out on Memorial Weekend. I purchased a 2019 Ford Gemini back in December 2018 at your Newport News, VA location. I got a great deal on it and the Sales Associate Debbie did a great job in negotiating a great interest rate and payment I could afford. Your service department there sucks! My Gemini went into the shop at the beginning of March 2019 for 2 sticking locks, missing tabs for my privacy curtain and a wheel well trim piece that had somehow came off. It stayed there for 2 months. Not because of approval of work, the shortage of technicians. I got it back 2 weeks before I was to go on my first trip Memorial Weekend to Camp Hateris I planned for 4 months. I took it down to the Camping World on May 23rd to make sure I was starting the refrigerator correctly. The Shop Foreman turned it on and explained to leave it on Auto and it should do its thing and be cold by Friday morning so I could stock it for my 4 day trip. Thursday early evening checked it was still warm. Checked the mode, it has switched to DC power. I manually switched it back to LP gas. Checked again on Friday morning to load it and it was just as warm as it was on Thursday. It has switched again overnight to DC power and the house battery was drained. I called service at camping world Friday morning (the morning I was to leave) and asked if I could bring it down to see if there was a way to tell that if it was directly plugged into the electric at the camping site would the fridge work? I would have packed my 4 days of food in a ice chest and left. Check in time was 1:00 at Camp Hateris. I was almost in tears when the lady said they couldn't even look at until the afternoon and no guarantees. Even after I explained I had planned this trip for 4 months and all I needed to know is will it work if I plug into electric current. They didn't care. I called Camp Hateris in tears and canceled my reservations. My Ford Gemini was dropped on that Friday May 24th and at that time I was told it would be 2 weeks before they can even look at it. Check on it today, I was told that time has now stretched out to 3 weeks. Checked today on the 3 week mark and still no movement! This is unacceptable and HAS TO BE FIXED! I don't know what the answer is on how to fix it but this is just ridiculously long. I am now worried that I won't have it back fixed by Labor Day for another trip I have planned. I may get rid of my Ford Gemini before I even get a chance to enjoy it because it spends so much time in the shop.

Forest River Sierra Destination Model Model# 385 FKBH Serial # 4X4TSER22JJ046024 I recently purchased this unit on May 3, 2019 brand new and I have had a series of problems from the time of purchase. On May 10th we purchased a camper, the camper had some defects from which we noted at the time of purchase. I have a document listing the number of people we have been thru to get assistance and repairs done. To date, Yes it is now June 10th and we still do not have a camper. After speaking with a Manager, she stated it would be ready last week and was checking on it, we still have had no phone calls and we still have no camper. We have had to cancel (2) camp trips and were not able to make plans for the 3rd because we traded in our old camper and now are without a camper at ALL...we purchased a camper made the first payment and do not have a camper in our possession. Please, just give us our old camper back and we will move on.
camper still in service after almost a year!
On July 27, 2018, we took our camper to Camping World in Columbia, SC for warranty work on our slideouts. 2 of the 3 were sagging, a drain pipe was missing (which they refuse to fix and blamed us, and the awning broke due to the slide out). I checked on it about 2 weeks ago and the report I got was their technician had ripped our awning replacing the new arms. They had to order a new one. I has been there nearly a year! I want some compensation on the payments I've made. It's a 2018 Coleman Lantern BBH37.
mallard 335 trailer
I purchased a brand new M335 trailer less then 6 months ago. I have had three thermostats replaced, a leak from the bathroom, a leak from the bathroom sink that has caused my floor to buckle. I still don't have the track at the entrance of the door, my air does not flow into the bedroom, my kitchen sink connection came apart so I can't use it. Have been using bathroom sink to wash dishes and cannot cook. Also a cabinet latch and if you look closely you can see where the cheap board that was used to put this thing together is not finished.
I have called camping world in Nashville and I keep getting the run around. When I purchased this trailer I explained that I did not have truck to move it back and forth for them to repair. I stated that they would have to send someone out. Yesterday, someone named Mark was beyond rude and said for me to call Heartland direct to solve my complaint. He also stated that he would have someone in management call and still nothing yet. I need a solution. This is unacceptable.
service/warranty
Purchased a used 2015 Thor Freedom Elite class C motorhome in April of 2017. Motorhome was like new and had approximately 16000 miles. I purchased a full extended warranty at a cost of approximately $6000. Took in for a slide out issue on May 4th. After several calls to find out about the repair, I was notified today (May 29th) to inform me the repair...

Approved for a "new " 2019 keystone Montana. Completed the deal over the phone due to living 4 hours away. Notified the dealership I would be onsite at 4pm on Friday to sign. Arrived to find the unit had been gutted. No television in the living room. Trim removed in the living room leaving led light strip exposed over an 8 foot section. Ceiling fan removed leaving exposed wiring hanging from ceiling. Underbelly access panel removed with wiring pulled out into storage compartment. Water heater panel removed leaving a hole in the outside wall. Exposed wiring hanging from front bath ceiling. Sales manager refused to come see the unit for himself stating he was too busy so instead he sent a new salesperson who stated she had just started working for the company a couple months ago and didnt know anything about their stock. She did however call the sales manager while in the unit and was told to instruct me to make a list of what would need replaced so that I could file a warranty claim before purchase. Also stated items removed from my unit were needed for another customer so they had used it as a parts trailer. If there were items missing once I took delivery it would be my responsibility to file an additional warranty claim and return the init to the dealership for repair. Needless to say I did not sign and make the purchase. If this is camping world practices I will take my business elsewhere. Please advise.
charged for products not needed, charged for items not installed, phone calls not returned.
May. 2019
Went in to have toilet replaced under warranty, this item was carried out with minor problems. Lid bolts fell out. Replaced locally.
I asked that they check out and repair back-up and mirror cameras as their last repair did not fix the problem. I was told that the radio was defective (I didn't think so because it played fine, but what do I know). They contacted the warranty company and was told they would only pay the amount for the original and since that product was no longer available I would have to pay an additional $342.58 for the replacement. I didn't like it or agree but said I would pay if that fixed the problem and was assured it would. Well it did not the problem got worse.
Next problem. While the motor home was in the shop they called and said the battery was dead and would have to be replaced at a cost of $224.99. I thought that was a ripoff price but I live about 80 miles away so said oK. When I got home the battery went dead in the drive. I suspected that it wasn't replaced so I looked up battery location and removal on Thor's site and discovered that the battery is under the work station in the dash, passenger side. I pulled this work station and saw that on initial replacement it is necessary to cut two 1/4 " sections in the plywood cover to remove this panel and get at the battery. It had not been done!
I took the vehicle to a local shop who pulled the battery, tested it and found that it was strong as ever but the cables were corroded. He cleaned those and I am good to go. So the battery had never been changed !
Final. Since replacing the radio was not necessary, (I have the same problem). A local repair shop says it is most likely a CRV, whatever that is, and will be replacing it.
Also I was charged to replace a battery that was not replaced. For those reasons I think it is reasonable to request a refund of work order #152807 in the amount of $833. 05.

I would appreciate hearing from you on this matter, locally I can get no response.
I had a similar problem before when I was charged for a tire repair that was never done. They refunded for that as the screw was in the same place, in the same tread, of the same tire. You might want to look into what is going on at this dealership as I'm sure you could not be doing business this way country wide.
