May. 2019
Went in to have toilet replaced under warranty, this item was carried out with minor problems. Lid bolts fell out. Replaced locally.
I asked that they check out and repair back-up and mirror cameras as their last repair did not fix the problem. I was told that the radio was defective (I didn't think so because it played fine, but what do I know). They contacted the warranty company and was told they would only pay the amount for the original and since that product was no longer available I would have to pay an additional $342.58 for the replacement. I didn't like it or agree but said I would pay if that fixed the problem and was assured it would. Well it did not the problem got worse.
Next problem. While the motor home was in the shop they called and said the battery was dead and would have to be replaced at a cost of $224.99. I thought that was a ripoff price but I live about 80 miles away so said oK. When I got home the battery went dead in the drive. I suspected that it wasn't replaced so I looked up battery location and removal on Thor's site and discovered that the battery is under the work station in the dash, passenger side. I pulled this work station and saw that on initial replacement it is necessary to cut two 1/4 " sections in the plywood cover to remove this panel and get at the battery. It had not been done!
I took the vehicle to a local shop who pulled the battery, tested it and found that it was strong as ever but the cables were corroded. He cleaned those and I am good to go. So the battery had never been changed !
Final. Since replacing the radio was not necessary, (I have the same problem). A local repair shop says it is most likely a CRV, whatever that is, and will be replacing it.
Also I was charged to replace a battery that was not replaced. For those reasons I think it is reasonable to request a refund of work order #152807 in the amount of $833. 05.

I would appreciate hearing from you on this matter, locally I can get no response.
I had a similar problem before when I was charged for a tire repair that was never done. They refunded for that as the screw was in the same place, in the same tread, of the same tire. You might want to look into what is going on at this dealership as I'm sure you could not be doing business this way country wide.

sales, delivery of camping trailer
May 7 I started communicating with Colton Baker of the Sherman TX Camping World for the purchase of a new Forest River 171RBXL. I was in CO on vacation in our Coachmen camper. Colton said they could deliver the new camper to me and pick ours up as a trade in. I started texting pictures of our camper, my drivers license, etc. until we agreed on a price. I...

I had my 2016 Keystone Impact 361 in for bearing repack and dewinterization exactly 2 years ago at the selling dealer in Saukville. I am cognizant of the many poor reviews so when it came time to do some regular maintenance this year I took it to Burlington rv. Burlington found The bearings installed two years ago are scored and seized because they were the...

They have had my motorhome for 3 weeks and have done nothing. I get a lot of promises, when i can get in touch. I had a chance to save 15% on parts but could not get any one to tell me what they needed. That passed now i get shoved around from person to person all saying they will get so and so to call me then that person, if they call, says the same thing. My mother passed away and i bought this motorhome to live in as i was staying with her to help in her last days. Now because i can't get my repairs done i am living in the street. Something that should have taken 10 days has turned me into a homeless person. I mean i can not find out ANYTHING. I am going to call one more time then i call an Attorney.

2017 mallard
Purchased a 2017 28 ft. Mallard from Camping World in Swedesboro, N.J.. We used the unit one time last summer due to my wife falling. Since the unit was winterized for the winter I noticed a bulge in the slide. I inquired about it and they told me that I was out of Warranty and the bulge was due to Improper care. BULL. Since when do new campers leak and cause a bulge. I was told by another dealer that this was not a leak but a factory defect. They inturn contacted the Heartland Co. and decided that it was our problem. Heartland requested an estimate that cost me 167.00 and the estimate was for the repair. Then Heartland refused to allow the repair and said they wanted us to drive it all the way to the state of Indiana for another inspection. I just laughed and decided that Camping world and Heartland joined hands to deny me any satisfaction.
I don't know what the outcome will bring but these two companies have betrayed me and I will use this unit and explain to all the people that walk by our site just what happened and how they disowned us after the 27, 000 dollars we spent. Thanks.
I purchased my newmar canyon star motorhome from mcgeorge's 12/2016.
I am a retired u.s. navy retired disabled veteran of 31 years of military service. My wife and i stopped to get 2012 motorhome serviced. Ended up purchasing a new 2017 newmar canyon star. It would be nice if these people you have running thsese sites to run then like a business that would like return customers.
I talked to Mike Mullahey by e-mail and we talked on the phone, i told him what I had 2015 cougar 5th wheel, we purchase form them and this was my 2nd unit from campingworld told Mike what i had to have out of my unit and he said sounds great to me.
So was asked to take to Oakwood Georgia so I did and when got there I meet with a young man neme Scott. talked with him a minute, he took down some information and left to see his boss, came bake and give a price of 16.000 ( now mind you it is a 40.000 dollar unit) they did not even go out to look at it just a slap in the face. Never mind the fuel we spent going over 80 oneway and over 80 back. never again do i buy anything for this company not even from there stores.
camping world of oakwood, ga
I bought a new 2018 Jayco camper from the Oakwood, Ga location on January 26, 2019. Since purchasing the camper we have not been able to use it, in fact it was in the Oakwood location shop February 9-May 1. We brought it home and went to check out everything after a rain and it turns out the camper is still not fixed, so we are having to make another trip to drop the camper off. Keep in mind the location is 3 hours away, and we have made this trip 4 previous times to get the camper, and 3 times leaving without it because it was not fixed. I have spoken to everyone they said I can including David the district manager for that branch, and no one seems to want to help get the camper problem taken care of. It's always excuses or that campers have a break in period. I have paid payments and insurance on a camper for 3 months that I have not been able to use. We have missed 2 family vacations because we have not had our camper. We have another trip planned for next weekend and will probably miss it as well due to Camping World having our camper again. This doesn't even begin to describe the lies I have been told regarding the camper nor everything that was wrong with the camper before i purchased it and was not made aware of. I am beyond frustrated, I would never buy another thing from Camping World, not refer anyone to them!
misinformation about the type of fuel to use in my diesel motorhome
when I bought my 2011 Monaco Cayman I was told that ultra low sulfer diesel fuel was DEF. I didn't know anything about DEF, because I had a 2007 Damon Tuscany that took regular diesel fuel. When I bought the coach it had 3/4 tank of fuel . When I needed fuel, after traveling from Ruskin, Fl. northto the FL. panhandle, I put in DEF fuel. At the next fuel stop, I also put DEF fuel in. By now we were 1/2 mi. from where we were going to stay. As we pulled in tward the campground, my coach died . Roadside assistance towed it to a diesel service center, where it was determined that I had been using the wrong fuel . I called the engine manufacturer and was told that my engine indeed was to run on regular fuel . So I called Camping World of Tampa and the service manager told me that the salesmen that had talked to would not have told me that because they were experianced . So he, the service manager, would look into this. Meanwhile, I am on the hook for draining and dropping the fuel tank, purging the fuel system, installing new filters, and checking if any damage was done to other parts, such as fuel pump or injectors .

Dothan alabama camping world 07/2018 purchased a 2005 sunline solaris both of us are disabled purchased online they sent pictures of everything but what they did not want me to see, was told it was a very nice camper, and that everything was going to be checked out and in good working condition, paid full blown retail price for this camper I thought it would be in top condition when delivered, not the case when delivered the pig tail rubbed the pavement and rubbed into, ref. Roof vent busted to pieces from dry rot, roof vent in bathroom busted to pieces from dry rot, skylight over shower cracked leaking, spare tire flat dry rotted, tail light did not work, electric brakes all 4 wheels had to be rewired they did not work either, brake linings wore out, brake drums have deep grooves in them, brake magnets wore out, refrigerator circuit board was fried, ref gas burner rusted out, gas regulator and hoses had to be replaced on the tanks, gas valve on water heater had to be replaced leaking gas, gas valve on furnace had to be replaced was leaking gas, roof leaked and rotted floor and back wall out like this when it came to me still leaks, tag holder was broken had tie straps holding drive out tag on, tongue jack didn't work had a sheared pin in it, battery cover missing, bumper plugs missing, radio does not work, shower head leaked, outside shower hose leaks, smoke alarm in kitchen missing, 12 volt water pump don't work, fuse to gas detector was missing because of all the gas leaks fumes building inside camper, no keys to doors or storage compartments, they did not even have the title to it. Exaust fan in bath room is noisy, some inside lights don't work, some ext. Running lights don't work, propane tanks hold down bracket wing nut was missing, roof needs to be resealed, or replaced exterior needs to be re caulked at seems, window seals need replaced. Come to find out the camper was consignment they did not own it after they told me they just got it in and haven't had time to clean it up. (quote top reputable sales person) sold it to me. And they said it was checked out and ready to go. If that's not taking advantage of disabled people not being able to travel to see it then I don't know what is, the least they could have done was offer to bring a comparable replacement camper. Forgot to mention the holding tanks level indicators don't register right either some show 3/4 full when empty some shows 1/2 empty when full, roof still leaks when it rains. So everyone I talk to that wants to buy a rv I will tell them my story with camping world and post on the internet on any feed back sites I can find about my experience at camping world. Pics sent never showed roof or any fixtures, rotted wall and floor, spool for paper towel holder was missing, leaf springs amd hangers snap and pop when turning no doubt bushings are wore out, if it was checked out none of the above mentioned would have needed done, not even road worthy when it arrived.

Camping World of Concord. Bought camping Oct 29, 2018 Radio was broken at the time we got our camper. Told us to take it home and they would get us a new radio. I purchased a 2019 Class A RV with Camping World and my refrigerator stopped working a few weeks after I purchased the RV. I placed the RV in the shop in October 2018 and it is May 2019 and they still do not have any answers for me. The employee turnover is insane and the customer service is the absolute worst that I have ever seen in my entire life. This place is a total joke and the sad thing is that everyone working there knows it.
product sales and installation
Went to your location in draper utah, inquired about buying and having installled a power inverter on my rv, when I asked the sales associate. Behind the counter about the installation charges of $59.00 which is being advertised until may 12 I was immediately told that they would not do the install for 59.00 and that it was up to his discretion of what would and would not be install for that price and that was what the advertisement read on the bottom of the sale sign which he pointed out. (see sales associate for details) no where on the sign or in the ad does it state up to sales associate on what they will or will not install. So I asked to speak to the manager of the store. When she came over I was greeted by a phony pathetic hello and asked what the problem was so I explained my situation and then was told that I would have to buy an upgraded $1500.00 inverter and then they would install the inverter with 1 outlet and if I wanted to have more it would be$135.00 hr plus a supply charge. I wouldn't have these lying over priced con artist touch my rv and i'll do every thing I can to make sure the word gets out to the bbb, ftc, yelp, facebook, etc. So this kinda bs stops..
camper /
Have brand new camper and have only had it 2 weeks and first time i have slide open it leaks .
They are willing to fix it but didnt really care about my time I'm losing to drive nearly 2 hours one way to bring it back .not very good way to keep customers or have good reviews gonna cost me prolly most my day and 100$ in fuel for something that should not happen on brand new camper !
Just seems like there would be something they could do to make it right
dealer false advertising and dirty tactics
On 4/20/19 we purchased a 2018 heartland 2375 bh from your Spokane dealership. It was advertised with having a cover, even pictured and mentioned in in the add. It was even part of prior discussions before we headed out that way to get it. Needless to say we never got it. Have spoke with Braden (sales) the manager Mike, and an email sent to DJ (financing...

Calvin and Beth Holloway bought a brand new 2019 fifth wheel. Every time they call us saying it's ready it is not. Wrong parts ordered, new damages to rv, each time we come. We live in Maine and this is an all day trip. We have never been reimbursed for expenses. Couldn't camp in sept oct Now can't camp in May. We spent a lot money and it hasn't left the lot. Ridiculous! Ask for follow up and call backs We have to call. Very disappointed and frankly want our money back to go somewhere that will treat as valuable customers. Extremely concerned about service and care after / if we ever get to use it.
winnebago era 70 x
I bought a new rv from camping world in kingston, ny in dec, 2018. We took a trip the end of december to nc. Enroute, we realized that the navigation and radio and speakers did not work. Nor did the generator work. We took it to a camping world in nc. They found that the rear propane valve had never been closed so all the gas leaked out which was why the generator did not work. The camping world in nc said the radio issue was a problem for mercedes. We drove back to ny and took it to mercedes. They evaluated the rv and said it was not their problem and it needed to be taken back to camping world. It was brought back for service at camping world in kingston, ny in january to correct the problem. They had it for a week in january 2019 and delivered it to our home saying it was all fixed. It was not! the microphone did not work and the navigation still did not play through the speakers. We were in the process of moving and could not tend to getting it fixed then, but we were in contact with the salesperson we bought it from. Now the radio works through the speakers, but the navigation does not play through the speakers and the microphone does not work so the blue tooth cannot be used. These are 2 important issues for traveling. I called yesterday to make an appointment but no one called me back. I called again today and spoke to nick. I was told that the earliest they could even look at it is may 6 and then they would have to have it several weeks. This is absolutely the worst customer service i have ever had. This new rv has not worked right since i got it. Camping world released this vehicle to me without it working correctly. They serviced it in january and delivered it still not working correctly. Now i have moved to maine from ny and have to make a cross country trip in june but the camping world that i bought it from is making no attempt to fix this problem. I see and know a lot of people. Rest assured i will tell everyone i know about what a terrible experience this has been with camping world in kingston ny.
Sincerely,
anthony cicoria md

internet marketing
Retired sales/marketing manager. Internet shopping for RV. Disappointed in the Camping World ads. Bad pictures that are dark and ones that don't show the front to back interior layout. No floor plan pic you have to go to a competitor site like PPL Motorhomes in Texas to see it. No condition rating like PPL Motorhomes does. Description area usually doesn't have the trailer weight. Some ads don't even have the length listed. That shows me whomever is doing the job of listing the units is not doing a good job and they should be replaced for being lazy and incompetent. Your not providing a good customer on line shopping experience. Your losing sales to competitors. I'll come out of retirement and help you correct the problem and increase sales. Call me if your interested.

I came in last Sunday to the Panama City camping world and started the process of buying a camper. I put a down payment down and set a delivery date of Friday the 5th.
