Shoppers drug mart outlet / parcel pickup / disgraceful customer service
April 12, 2023 16:30 at CP Shoppers outlet, Southgate Mall, Chilliwack BC
A parcel p/u notice was delivered to my residence by the letter carrier (spoke to him directly) at 10:00 am on the date mentioned. I also checked the tracking notice on-line and it was stated the item had been delivered to destination at 06:58 that morning. The carrier did not have the package on his person, he only had the notice. I waited till 15:00 to go and p/u my item. I waited in the lineup for 1/2 an hour. Always, very poor service at this outlet. The clerk proceeded to tell me that my item was not “available” for p/u, I had to wait till AFTER 13:00 the NEXY DAY (13th) to retrieve it. I proceeded to tell her that it was at their location as of 06:58 that morning & the carrier did not have the item on his persons as he handed me the notice directly AND in accordance with the tracking info, it was indeed at their destination at 06:58! She went on a tangent that the parcel was out for delivery & would not be returned to their location till after 16:00 by the truck & then they sort them AGAIN for p/u. I asked her to make an effort to locate my parcel regardless of what/where she believed it to be. She started to raise her voice, flatly refusing to serve me, dismissed my presence, moved aside to, called for the next customer to come forward to serve (there were at least a dozen in the line) and ignored me! I left, EXTREMELY ANNOYED. This is the 2nd time in as many weeks that I’ve encountered disrespectful, disgraceful conduct by a clerk at this particular outlet. Most times I attend the London Drugs outlet as they always provide good service, in this case, because I HAD TO p/u a parcel at this location, I didn’t have a choice. I was told an outright LIE by the clerk in regards to my package location. It WAS NOT out for “delivery” - never was - it was at the outlet at 06:58 that morning and remained there. She would not address my insistence it was there, I showed her the tracking info and asked her to make an effort to locate my package. She disrespected me - totally. I am a senior and she had no respect or decency when speaking to me. These clerks are very poorly trained at this location and CP should seriously consider canceling their contract. I am sure, for those who care to take the time to write, like me, you have plenty to put that place on notice.

Desired outcome: An apology! What training are they receiving? And to do MUCH better in the future should the contract be renewed.
package delivery
The people in Sheppard-Bathurst Canada Post are very unexperienced, unable to provide information, work very slowly, waiting times are long.
Post officer did not know that packages from US to Canada with USPS deliver to Canada post. The officer could not provide any information by tracking number, said the the package is not here.
Waiting time in the post office is ridiculously long. I had to stay in line twice and both times - more than 30 mins waiting.
Only one person was working in spite of many people waiting.
I got the notice about delivery from the very same post office, when I got home.
Again came back to the Post Office, the same long line, the same girl delivered me my package. She even did not realize that this is the same tracking number I asked about.
Desired outcome: Better training to new workers, more workers at the desk to serve Canadians (only one girl was working),better attitude from workers to help minimize the waiting time
Non-delivery and investigation and settlement incompetence
Canada Post literally does not know how to do their job. I paid for signature required - Canada Post delivered to wrong address, accepted a wrong name and signature, then wouldn't tell me where they did this. I was not able to recover my parcel. Investigation took almost 2 months just to call me back, and their conclusion was that now too much time had passed to be able to do anything about it. Incompetence at its finest! Investigator and Ombudsman were just as bad as the delivery driver. Save yourself the agony and avoid Canada Post at all cost - or it will cost you.
Desired outcome: I needed to retrieve my parcel from whom they gave it to, but they wouldn't do it themselves, they would tell me where it was, and they didn't compensate me for my losses.
Xpresspost - Canada Post
Will never, ever, again use Xpresspost. I needed to send legal documents to my lawyer so I took them to Canada Post in Hamilton Friday Feb 24 for 'next day service' to Mississauga. I paid extra for a signature hoping it would help ensure proper delivery. When the lawyer messaged me two business days later, I promised to look at the tracking, and found to my horror that it was in the process of being returned to sender. It wasn't until too late on Thursday March 2 that it showed up as available for pick up at the post office so I went Friday morning March 3. The worker was rude and dismissive, as well as unhelpful. She insisted there was nothing she could do about the fact that it had been correctly addressed and it was not delivered. Apparently I had to go back to the post office where I had sent it to talk to them. To add insult to injury, I had to pay a surcharge for Canada Post's error and incompetence in returning the item, just to receive it, so I could resend it. So I walked over to the UPS Store, and discovered in so doing that the only address visible anywhere online for that lawyer's office was the exact address I had given. There exists no suite number, as the Canada Post worker claimed, so there was no way that it should have been returned. It cost me less for guaranteed next day shipping with UPS and I am much more confident it will actually be delivered. Not only will I never, ever use Xpresspost again, I will be sure to let everyone I know not to use this service.
Desired outcome: Full refund of all charges.
Mail delivery
For several years, I have subscribed to a weekly British magazine, The Tablet. Prior to the pandemic, the delivery of this magazine was as good as could be expected for a publication from a distant country. During the pandemic, the delivery was slow and inconsistent. However, in the last year, the delivery is slower than ever. Today is March 1, 2023, and I have not received any of the magazines dated for February. My postal code is T6C1R3. It seems as though these magazines go into a warehouse and sit there for an unpredictable length of time before the letter carrier decides to deliver them. Perhaps that is not the case, but I do not understand why the delivery has become so poor.
Desired outcome: Speedier delivery of my magazines from Britain.

Wood pruner / still have not received /tracking ticket says delivered on feb 6th/2023 at 1:40pm
Hello,
I have spoken to several people with no luck in obtaining my Wood Pruner that I had order in mid December 2022, online via Facebook. So I am going to your team for assistance.
In order of latest info:
Feb 11th
Went to Shoppers Drug Mart Post Office in Carleton Place on Feb 11th, 2023 at 11AM (opening time).
I gave Allison the Canada Post Ticket Number: [protected] (submitted on 2023/02/08)
I gave Allison the Tracking Number LV665549230CN - received from Supplier
I also gave her my address
Allison of Shoppers Drug Mart Post Office could only inform me that my parcel was in Carleton Place (where?) and that it was not at their Post Office...
Feb 10th
Went to Shoppers Drug Mart Post Office and spoke to Margaret (nice lady). She was unable to assist me as I had no numbers with me. She did try my address which is 3099, 9th Line Beckwith, Carleton Place Ontario, K7C 3P2. No luck either. She told me they only track by the Ticket Number in their system.
Feb 9th
Called Shoppers Drug Mart Post Office and spoke with a nice lady (name?). She told me she had too many people in her line up to assist me and had 500 parcels in the back. She and told me to check their website Canadapost.ca tracking.
I obtained a list of dates and times and it already told me it had been received on February 6th at 1:40PM.
Feb 8th
Trish, nice lady, our mail lady delivery person has rechecked the Post Office Building in Carleton Place (downtown) and it is not there and rechecked her truck and it is not there.
If this parcel was delivered on Feb 6th at 1:40PM where is it? We never
received a card either in our mail box telling us where to pick it up.
I still feel it is at Shoppers Drug Mart Post Office in Carleton Place.
Please provide assistance.
Thank you
Karen Fulton

Recurring monthly parcel
Every month, our household receives a shipment from the USA. Everything seems good until it hits Calgary. The goods will sit there for a good week, if not longer, until I start making calls. I am an hour outside of Calgary at a postal box. This makes no sense to me. Also, sometimes the parcel will come to Calgary, head to Toronto and come back to Calgary again. I do not understand. There is no reason this should take a month to get to me every month. It ships from our warehouse in Texas the next day of smart ship order. Also, it ships via US DHL and it seems it's a toss-up at the border to either go DHL Canada or Canada Post. Who decides this? Is it decided at the border or in a Calgary hub? Either way, it is unacceptable in this day and age.

Delivery driver
On Jan 24, 2023 we had a delivery made by Canada Post. The tracking number is 1A327B-D7DB00A0. On this day we inadvertently left our dog out - but our daughter was home in bed.
The delivery driver called animal services - which we are ok with and condone. However, we received a letter from the delivery driver yesterday, that is not only harassing but threatening as well. I would like someone to contact me from Canada Post via email [protected]@gmail.com. This letter was sent by mail with no return address, 2 stamps (but not marked by canada post - so we think it was delivered by the driver personally) and no contact information on it.
The letter has been shared in the pictures as well as the envelope it came in.
As you can see I'm sure their heart was in the right place, but they are making certain assumptions about our dog Lilly, about us and our situation and the particular day that this occured. Calling animal services shows care, coming to our house and checking on the dogs well being after the fact would have shown care. Writing a threatening/shaming letter without a return address or contact does not show care and is extremely alarming to say the least. It's easy to hide behind a wall and hurl threats.
Canada Post needs to address this person directly and confirm that this is the delivery driver as we don't want to falsely accuse anyone, but all indications that this is the person as we had no other deliveries this day that we can find.
Desired outcome: This person needs to formally apologize to us in person and be held accountable for their actions by Canada Post.
Package not delivered
I sent a package to a friend who was going through a rough time to cheer her up found out she ended up in hospital and when released from hospital she has to use a walker and a 15 minute walk took her 4hours to get home she tried to call because she found the slip in her mail box stating she had to pickup her pkg she called the post office and while she was trying to explain her situation the person told her it was her problem and hung up on her so she called again and the same thing happened they hung up on her again they where very rude to her and with the walker it would take her all day to walk there and back as she doesn't have a car and there is a sign stating to leave pkgs in the room where the mail is put in the boxes she also has a sign saying to do the same thing and for anyone who pushes her buzzer to wait as it takes her at least 20 mins to come down also the security camera was checked and the pkg was not brought to the address as they only scene the postal person leave the slip in her po box

Packages missing from main Whitehorse YK Postal depot.
Hello:
There seems to be some general ineptitude at the Whitehorse Yukon main Canada Post depot, according to my family who lives there and has experienced continual problems associated with it over many years (packages missing, etc.).
And now I am very frustrated to learn that two packages I sent to Whitehorse in mid-December are missing.
One was a pre-paid/insured medium box that I tracked in mid-December (approx. Dec. 19th) and it was "delivered," according to Canada Post tracking. I subsequently threw away the tracking information, having faith in Canada Post, unfortunately. This package WAS ACTUALLY NEVER DELIVERED to its destination, which is a reliable private postal service located at Suite 218 - 108 Elliott Street Whitehorse (a competent business). This package was addressed to "Eli Kent" at Suite 218 - 108 Elliott Street. This was a much-anticipated birthday gift for an 11-year-old boy, who is now very disappointed.
The other MISSING package is a padded CD envelope with two CDs (one I special ordered from Germany at considerable expense and is not replaceable!) addressed to Eli's mother, Amanda Leslie, at Suite 218 - 108 Elliott Street (the private postal service location). This package was sent/mailed from a Canada Post outlet in Calgary approximately Dec. 19th and I was unable to track it (no tracking provided). It was never delivered to the address.
I understand that Canada Post mail and packages sent to my family in Whitehorse at their private postal outlet (Suite 218 - 108 Elliott Street) first get sent to the Whitehorse Canada Post main depot, from where it is sent on to Suite 218 - 108 Elliott Street. Once at Suite 218 - 108 Elliott Street, my family is phoned and notified that mail and packages are available for them (There is a personal warm relationship between my family and the competent people running the private postal business.) When tracking, the packages are then in "delivered" status as per the Canada Post online tracking.
However, there seems to be a serious flaw in the handling and actual delivery (and notification) with the Whitehorse Canada Post depot. My family has had numerous frustrating experiences such as the one I am describing with this depot, to the point that they now avoid all business with it and use private couriers whenever possible (and the private postal service where Canada Post mail is supposed to be delivered to them).
There is no other explanation for this situation. There is a problem at the Whitehorse Canada Post main depot.
What is being done about this extremely inept situation at the Whitehorse depot? Particularly, as a tax-paying citizen, I demand that the staff (preferably a competent manager or other capable person with some ability and sense of responsibility) comb through the Whitehorse Canada Post depot to locate my two missing packages and ensure they are both DELIVERED IMMEDIATELY please to Suite 218 - 108 Elliott Street to my family. They were both very clearly and legibly addressed with phone numbers provided.
I have not had my packages "returned to sender" and it has been about 6 weeks since they have both gone missing. I understand this is a common occurrence in Whitehorse. This is a disgraceful state of affairs for a government, federal business, and it is entirely unacceptable. Are there thieves among the employees at this depot?
Since the ineptitude of the Whitehorse Canada Post depot has misled me by falsely claiming my package had been delivered when it WAS NOT, and I subsequently discarded my tracking sheet in good faith, I would like the full $100 refund to me to cover the insured value of the goods enclosed in the package, which are valued at slightly higher than this amount. How can this be effected please?
Desired outcome: - this complaint relayed to MANAGER at Whitehorse depot- thorough manual search performed for my MISSING packages- packages ACTUALLY DELIVERED IMMEDIATELY- if not located and DELIVERED in a week, $100 insured value mailed to me
Delivery of packages
I live at 880 Riley Crt apt. 310 Mississauga Ontario, postal code l4y4e2.
Whenever I order parcels to be delivered I always get a card telling me to pick up my package at the post office at shopper's drug mart on Cawthra road, The address is 377 Burnhamthorpe Rd. east, L5A3Y0. I am usually home when the post man arrives. The problem is that the post man never calls to tell me I have a package. This is very annoying. This has happened a lot. I have called Canada post & they said they will talk to the mailman. That doesn't do any good because it keeps on happening. I am a senior & I can't afford to take a taxi to pick up my packages all the time. Can you PLEASE help me fix this situation.
Thank you very much. Jackie Hutchings.
Desired outcome: I would like the post man to call me when i have a package instead of leaving a card in my mailbox.
Intl Surface Parcel
Tracking number CC239268969CA
This was purchased in Grand Falls Windsor NL 12/29/2022 at a cost of $48.07, to be delivered to Bermuda. The postal employee said 8-11 days. This document was received 01/26/2023. I tracked the document and it was still in New Brunswick on 01/18/2023.
This document needed to be delivered in a timely manner. It was not. The time to deliver a one page form at such a high cost was pathetic.
Desired outcome: Some level of refund. I paid for a service that was not provided. It was delivered in the time promised.
Easy to track… vague oversights
My Family in the states agreed to let me use an older cell phone when I wanted a back up. I had one parcel with mail and the phone, valued at 45 dollars. But if I repaired it, it would be much more valuable as it’s not very old. In another bag, I got wool socks and some earrings. So with the tracking, for 4 weeks BEFORE Christmas rush, this was mailed, great… never saw it. So the tracking was all fake. Said it came within 8 days with a 35 dollar fee. How? Once we let them know…7 times they said I couldn’t speak on her behalf or her claim. So I had to refill with her name and share the details as if it was her because she is Old and can’t read much! Well 4 days later, now the bags showed up. Why don’t you fire people who can’t figure out my house number? You don’t know they dropped these off at the wrong place huh? Like do you read? Edit: it took almost 8 weeks for the stupid mail to come from the Detroit border here 2 hours from the border. You can’t handle business.
Now I have a phone finally and I know not to deal with Canada post unless it is absolutely ideal.
Desired outcome: Explain why your deliveries suck
Shipped parcel within Canada - Expressmail
I paid for an express mail to ensure fast delivery of a package to Montreal. The address needed correction. The customer service was contacted and a ticket was opened with the corrected address.
2 days later, the package was put forward to return to me as the sender! When called to clarify why the package to return to the sender and the address has already corrected through a ticket? the answer was "correcting the address with a ticket does not necessarily be taken by Canada post"!
So, Why to open a ticket?
Just because! no mandate to make any correction!
So, Why to call a customer service?
Things does not go as per customer's expectations and needs!
This is ridiculous and irresponsible behaviour.
Drivers
There is a Canada Post station/warehouse on Eglinton and Dixie - Mississauga, Ontario. I have to drive by this station every night on my way home. Every single day I get cut off by a driver, a driver is driving way too fast or carelessly. Tonight, I was driving home, visibility is bad and its freezing rain. I was doing the limit. I had a Canada Post driver race up behind me and then was riding my a*. He was so close to my car trying to push me to drive faster. Instead, I slowed down because he was blinding me with his lights. Once he realized that wasn't going to work, he moved to the next lane, flew by me and cut me off going right in front of me. I'm getting so irritated by the lack of safety from your drivers. I would like this driver reported, suspended without pay and disciplined. The license plate was BS 66720 or BS 66270. I was driving so I couldn't write it down and it was already dangerous conditions with the freezing rain. He turned into the station at the lights at 1750 (5:50pm) on Eglinton. If this doesn't improve, I will continue to write down these plates and start reporting them to the cops and social media plus the news.
Desired outcome: Driver disciplined and suspended without pay plus send me a personal apologize.
Personal delivery ongoing problems
Over the past seven delivery days, I have had four days wherein my mail was delivered to someone else or I received their mail. This has been a problem on and off for over 25 years. I have complained before, it is O.K. for a while and then you give our delivery route to someone new who cannot understand that there is a difference between Penthouse 5 and Upper Penthouse 5. Six times in the past year, I have not received a bi weekly newspaper and have had to call two weeks later for another copy to me mailed (In an envelope)
Desired outcome: Please teach the new delivery person that there are three levels of penthouses in this condo building. The address is 880. Yesterday, there was mail on the ledge for 800 (the building next door)
Postal service doesn’t even try to deliver packages to our home
Tracking number [protected]
My partner and I live in a single family dwelling in downtown Toronto. We work from home. We are always home. This is the n’th time canada post has not dropped off our package and instead required us to go pick it up. There is no duty on this package. We tried to pick it up today but the post office worker at bloor court PO (1016 bloor st) said the delivery person did not leave anything for them.
Can Canada post please actually try to deliver packages to us? Knock ring call - we are home. I don’t understand.
