when delivering parcels, my postal delivery person is indicating I did not answer when I was home at the time of delivery.
I order a lot of rare books and some odd electronic devices online so I generally receive about 3 packages per month on average. Due to my work schedule I am almost always home and awake when the mail is delivered. I live in a small 9 unit building right above the mail slots so I can hear everything when the mail is delivered and see out my window that it is a mail delivery in progress. In the last 8 months is has become apparent to me that my regular mail delivery person is not even attempting to knock on my door and deliver parcels to me, she is simply indicating "no answer" on the ticket and leaving it in my mailbox so that I have to go to the local postal outlet to pick it up THE NEXT DAY. My apartment door is maybe 30 ft from the mailboxes. It is not a large apartment building. I can understand that sometimes she might be busy and do this, but no, she has decided I am never home even though I almost always am. This has to stop. When I get a delivery from another delivery service this never happens, and in the last 8 months I have had 2 "fill in" Canada Post delivery people come to my door, knock and give me my parcel as they should. This actually makes everything more difficult for you as my parcel was RIGHT THERE and SO WAS I, but your delivery person did not make the connection they could easily have made.
Discussed the situation with CP and it's all good again.
inability to properly deliver mail and parcels
I have had so many issues with Canada Post mail and parcel delivery. I live in an apartment building and one time i waited all day for an expensive item to be delivered. No one buzzed up i went out and found it at my door, why not even knock? They are supposed to leave a card not abandon parcels, complained got ignored, i have a new mail carrier so i will give abit of slack to her but my small parcels have been put into the wrong box luckily my neighbours were honest and brought them to me, but i was pissed when my rent check got lost and 4-6 months later it was returned from the kind person who lives elsewhere in my city. Canada Post ignored me again. Now every parcel that comes with their 3rd party carrier does not get delivered he skips out doesn't even come here no card i track it online that's how i know about this, i use my ID and pick it up they were pissed because he's doing this with a lot of people and now they know what driver it is they were reporting him to Canada Post, guess what he's still working and doing that. Why they pay people who don't even do their work is absurd i don't get it, i'm always complaining and they ignore me or close my complaint in their favour. Why can they get away with doing what they want? Totally uncaring towards customers not caring that by keeping an employee that dosent try to bring parcels dosent care enough to at least drop off a card, not caring some are elderly or disabled and have a hard time getting out once they get a card in the mail saying they are late picking up a parcel they didn't get a delivery attempt for. Most mail carriers are nice happy people but there's that few that are not so nice and don't care about the quality of their work. And these 3rd party carriers are the worst they don't care at all asides from my usual guy who dosent attempt delivery or leaving a card the others have asked over the intercom if they can leave parcels outside my apartment building i say NO! Even after saying No! one guy did it anyways and ran off than saw me and ran back for my signature, terrible service!
parcel delivery to apartment buildings
Once again i was home all day and i looked online and saw that delivery was attempted and now i have to pick it up at the post office. The person that delivered did not try to contact my unit as we have a secure door at the front entrance and a buzz code is required. I get around with a walker and i am extremely sick. Unhappy to say the least. If your company can not deliver to apartment buildings, when i am paying the same as everyone else for delivery, perhaps subcontracting out would be an idea.

Mail delivery to 40 regan rd, unit 5
Today, April 30, 2018 I went to retrieve our mail from our box only to find mail for 2 other units in our complex. This is not the first time this has happened either, as a good neighbor I deliver the mail myself. If the mail person is not able to put the mail in the correct slot maybe I can be paid to do their job! Please ensure you are sorting the mail correctly in the future.
Delivery
Canada Post failed to deliver on the expected delivery date. On the newegg website I clicked on my tracking number and it showed me the expected delivery date in great detail including expected delivery time. I waited till 9pm at which time I decided to call them. I was informed by the person on the phone that my package was still in Toronto. So not only did I waste my time waiting, they failed to provide the correct information on their website with expected delivery date and time. This is the second time in a row that I have had to deal with Canada Post. This is unnacceptable and an apology phone call simply won't due this time around. My time was wasted with their misinformation and feel that I should be owed something in return for my time. This is unnacceptable. Here's a photo of their lies for proof and evidence.
2nd time they don't deliver package at residence. they simply leave the notice in the mailbox and i can't pick up til after 1.00pm next day. I do not use canada post to ship anything and only receive from them when I don't have an option. UPS, Fed EX, and Puralator have same day evening pick, by far the best way to go!

paysimply
I took my paysimply barcode to Canada Post location 375 Eramosa Rd, Guelph, ON N1E 6R0, on, Tuesday, April 24, 2018., at 6:30pm. Neither clerk/post worker knew what paysimply was. One worker told me that they don't make those transactions at their location and told me to go to the post office downtown. Neither employee even bothered to make an attempt at helping me or trying to figure out how to use the paysimply service. So, I left the post office.
I then called your complaints/customer service phone line. First customer representative put me on hold and no idea what paysimply is. After waiting several minutes, I hung up and called again. Same thing. Customer service representative has no idea what paysimply is.
I have used the paysimply feature at other locations with no issues.
My question is, how is it possible that these employees have no idea about this payment service, paysimply?
This experience put me at a great inconvenience.

Mail delivery is not delivered to proper mailboxes and addresses
For the past 6 to 7 months our mail delivery in the country side has been a
caos. Our mail is put in other people's rural boxes, and we
get other peoples mail in our rural box. If you are waiting for an important
piece of mail and the mail is delivered elsewhere, it can take a few weeks or more to say the least, before you eventually get it, and it can be a disaster and a very frustrating experience.
there is no hours the wicket is open
woodridge Manitoba is 15 kilometers away from us as you in you infinite wisdom moved it away from sandilands Manitoba. i need to mail a parcel and for the run around i get on the web there is no way to find out what hours the wicket is open. on top of that you took away the phone number we used to call to get that information locally. it seems eastern Canada is only able to handle these very complicated calls. the service we get here would be better if we used donkeys and rode 40 miles to steinbach. your service and your web site suck so badly you make turd boy look like an angel. smarten up a give us the service we pay for. Unfortunately she has refused to spell her name and when I asked or name tag she refused to show it to me, she was annoying and she refused to extend my mail box she said too early for the extension, it is going to be expired on August 3-2018 and I want to extend my mailbox service for another year, she said that if the mail box is full, they return all the mail back to the sender no matter what.
I think this is not legal to send some one mail back to the senders instead of keeping it in the mailbox, mailbox is full or not the purpose of the renting mailbox is security, unfortunately she is the worst person I have dealt with, just wonder if her mental healt is good enough to deal with the customers or how to communicate with the customers., honestly if I knew this person is working there I would have rent mailbox cross the street from UPS, at least UPS people know how to treat customers.
She said that I should figured out the way of spelling her name, what was that I am still in shocked
Said it was delivered but not to me
My package was supposedly delivered to my community mail box but there was no key to get it and by now i assume it was delivered to the wrong address altogether. I have contacted the sender (international) and they have chosen not to open an investagation to find my package they have chosen to resend the package. I have had canada post deliver items to my community mail box and neglect to leave the key until a day or two later but this is the first time a TRACKABLE item was sent to the wrong address. (I have had many things get lost in transit that werent trackable).

Xpresspost envelopes
I am a Chartered Accountant and function as a charity specialist and also do some income tax at this time of year.
At certain points in the year I have hard copy information that needs to be sent to clients and I use Xpresspost envelopes. I have a VentureOne account and find buying the regional Xpresspost envelopes in the 4-pack meets my needs. It allows me to deposit items in the local post box instead of having to go to a postal outlet to send the items Expedited Post. I estimate I use about $700.00 a year of the Xpresspost envelopes .
My concern which today reached the highest level regards a change to the Xpresspost envelope labelling format that I noticed several weeks ago when I purchase a 4-pack. The upper address panel was changed to the "To" party and the lower panel was now the "From" party. I discovered it the hard way as I slapped my mailing labels on a package to get it in that day's postal pick-up and used the CONVENTIONAL format with my address in the top panel and my client's address in the lower panel. So with the new format I received my package in the mail the next day. I called Canada Post to ask why such a change would be made when it changed a long-standing convention and the representative was not even aware of the change. I discussed it with my local postal outlet staff and they were aware of the change, but that was all. MY QUESTION then was why CP would not have placed an ALERT regarding the change.
Fast forward to today. My postal deliver is a great lady rang my doorbell (my office is a home-based business) and wondered about an Xpresspost envelope in her hand. I assured her I had sent it out to a client and it contained time-sensitive tax return information. It was properly labelled to my client (in the new-format upper address panel) but it was delivered to me .
THis causes me grave concerns which I expressed to my mail carrier weeks ago when I mailed the package back to myself as I had noticed the change.
And now I wonder if the change in addressing convention will create similar problems in the future. It concerns me enough to consider abandoning use of the Xpresspost envelopes and moving to a courier service. I simply cannot be wondering what is happening to time sensitive information I send out.
I am not looking for a refund. I am looking for some reassurance that CP is dealing with this problem and would like to understand the rationale for changing a long-standing addressing convention that would leave items open for error.

Rude delivery woman
Delivery lady Rung the bell twice and when I got down to open the door she was so rude and complaining that she waited for 10 minutes at the door when in fact it's not even 5 min. She keeps talking over and over that she will not deliver twice because she is not being paid. I don't even know what she's talking about she sounds so annoyed that we didn't open the door right away.. That lady who is delivering in our area has no good customer service. Rude and arrogant.
Carrier - numerous issues but nothing being done!
I have complained numerous times about our carrier and there has been NOTHING done:
- NOT delivery packages
- Falsifying cards
- Used to leave my packages downstairs, with neighbor or super or just in the hall by door but now makes no attempt to deliver
- Just putting cards in mailbox and NOT calling
- Double-parks or worse parks in our stalls (this has happened a couple times to me personally) and I had to ask him to move his vehicle so I could get out AND another time had to ask him to NOT park in my stall
- Delivers any time of day
- Then packages are NOT available as per card...sometimes days later because I have on 3 occasions went numerous to the outlet to pick up the package and it's still not there, not even days later?...AND the people working at the outlet say this carrier is a problem, has been for some time and they have also complained but that it falls on deaf ears.
The final straw was last delivery when he buzzed and of course I had to go down because he won't deliver sating Canada post's policy (condescending & rude) and had to ask him for the package (because he ignores you) - then I hear him "bad-mouthing" me to 2 guys in my building - THAT IS NOT OK! Complained again and I received a message back that she (Pat) again talked to him..."Wasn't sure what more she could do, " and continued to defend him without even discussion or addressing what he said about me and mouthing off - REALLY?
Come on!...how in this day and age does an employee get away with this list and number of complaints and the guy still has a job?
I would like this escalated to the top - years of this and to outright say things, lie and tell these guys that I've even said he's stolen my packages is defamation and NOT just a slap on the wrist anymore and expect this to be resolved immediately!
If you won't do the right thing - then put him on another route and let him be someone else's nightmare - enough already!
As for the rest of the building - most everyone has resorted to putting the mail in the correct mailbox, leaving it on the counter or delivering personally...and this is every single day - so what is he getting paid for exactly? People have complained so many times, they just gave up!
The manager is no better! Apparently, he is to record every dealing - which for privacy laws has to be to the person's knowledge...interesting that he could then represent good behavior but wondering if he also recorded himself badmouthing me to people in my building - as I know them, heard it all, have 2 witnesses and also record!
Express post still in transit since 28th february
I was supposed to receive my important document through expresspost which was stucked in canada post since 28th february. It contains my ID and canada post is forcing me since beginning to re apply for the documents. I have tried to talk with facility supervisor and she keeps saying " we have no idea where your mail is." I have opened several ticket and there is no outcome of it.
The service and threat I received
I send an xpresspost international tracking documents with Canada post I pad $70.44. The service the offer is that it takes 4 to 7 working days for parcel to be delivered. The document was mailed out on the 26 March 18. The last tracking update was on the 28 March saying it left Canada. Ive been following up with Canada post since 02 April as my tracking has still not updated they open up a ticket and said I would get a 4 hr call back.. no callback happened call back of the 4th April 18 they blamed NZ saying they have not updated the track.. another call back submitted no call back. I call New Zealand post open up a ticket on the 6th April and New Zealand post wiyh there amazing kiwi service call me back same day internationally advising that they took the time to call Australia and the last update they have is that the parcel arrived in Australia on the 29th March. I would need to contact Canada Post as they have not followed up with Australia or New Zealand and should be investigation. So I call Canada post back Mohammed tells me he will issue a call back for a supervisor to call me back on the 10th April. It's 6pm on the 10th April and I call to advise 3 call backs requested and no-one has called me back... Kyle answers my call with an attitude and tells me that after waiting 25mins for Canada post to even answer my call that the supervisors office has closed now and that noone has ever issued on the system a call back... At this point... im in tears, frustrated, annoyed and tired. he then says I have to wait till th 17th April for them to even open up an investigation... I tell him no way I leave on the 15th April and I need this sorted he says there is nothing he could... Also threatens me by telling me that if I don't want to wait he can close this ticket right now and I will get no call back at all... I told him that's a threat I'm not going to say anything else this call is recorded I will call in the morning and make a complaint... Im so frustrated and tired of following up... I'm going to call Sydney tonight and ask them if they still have it or has it left because Canada post clearly refuses to do anything until the 17th April...and I leave Canada on the 15th April... I want to cry...
Mail found on the ground near intended destination on 2 separate occasions. One was a gov't of canada payment.
Earlier this week, as I went over to my neighbor's house (on Louis Riel St.) to take in her mail (house sitting for a few days) I found a letter addressed to her on the ground near her mailbox. Yesterday I received a call from the same neighbor that she found a letter as she was walking around her house, addressed to me on the ground. It was my GST cheque which had been processed just the day before. One occurrence I can overlook, but 2 times in the same week? Not acceptable.
Employee unsafe driving
9:22am PDT Port Coquitlam, BC. CP delivery driver heading N on Oxford St, turning right to head E on Prairie Ave. Cut me off - I am cycling N on Oxford. I expect some action regarding the conduct of the driver - mid 30-40 white male with very short, military style haircut. Totally unacceptable driving in any case, but I'm sure there is an employee code of conduct regarding driving your vehicles. I expect a manager to call me in regards to this and what sort of remedial action CP takes with employees like this.
Cheers,

Makes you wonder what the criteria for being hired is, do they check driving records even? I saw a Canada Post worker with crazy road rage on the news in Surrey a few months ago, she was chaising someone yelling opening the van door shouting at people and doing very unsafe driving. They need to really care about complaints even more so when it's a safety issue such as yours. I always see vehicals with a contact phone number saying how's my driving? Maybe Canada Post should get some of these stickers and follow up on reports.
Clerks are unfriendly and unwilling to assist
I am specifically complaining about the clerks for Canada Post, located in 52nd St. SE Calgary, AB. Located at Shoppers Drug Mart store number is 0347.
Early in February, I went to send three packages and after the clerk enter all the info. she requires and payment, she have asked me to carry the packages myself to the floor by the door where all the packages are. I thought that it was ridiculous but she insisted that she will not move my packages inside her office because it was heavy for her.
I normally go to this branch because it is the closest to my office and the parking is convenient. Each time that I went and even if I am not the customer, I can tell that these 2 workers are not happy with what they do.
They do not smile and does not acknowledge the customer.
Today, April 3, 2018 around11 AM, I requested my assistant to request for a copy of receipt that accidentally lost. I called your hotline and I was told that it should only take a few minutes for the clerk to attempt to find the receipt. But the clerk in the store there said to my assistant that she will call my office to follow up and refused to provide her name. She also did not provide the date when or what time she will call back. There was no other customer at that time. I contacted Shopper's Drug mart at [protected], they transfer my call to Canada Post but no answer. I tried again after an hour and again, nobody answers the phone there.
It will be in your best interest to review the behavior of your employees in this particular branch.
The clerk returned my call after 2-3 hours and was able to provide the copy of my receipt. She was polite. I have posted my complain with the thought that my email will be sent directly to Canada post. I asked to remove my post from this website but the administrator said that they cannot remove complaints. Best NOT to use this website.
I received the email from Flex delivery about my package which was delivered to RPO Maryland, 676 Portage Ave., Winnipeg. When I came to receive my package the worker told me that my package was already received.
Bad news - it was not me who received the package. They handed my package to somebody without checking the ID properly.
The manger told me also that if the address is the same on the ID, then they can give the package to the person with different name but with the same address. (which I think is not right thing to do, anyway)
But in my situation it is only me who can receive the package in my address.
I was promised by Canada post that Flex Delivery is the safe way to receive the packages in the Post office location. Is it really?
Regular mail
On February 26, 2018 our company, Impact Personnel Services Inc. located at [removed] mailed out approximately 400 T-4's to our employees. We were unaware of the fact that you cannot mail so many at a mailbox at one time. We have been doing so for the last 20 years and never had a problem.
The mailbox is located within our condo business park at [removed].
The female postal worker barged into our office slamming the door stating angrily that we were not allowed to post so many letters, that we had to bring them to the post office. She complained that she had to bend down to get all the letters out of the box.
The incident would not really be a problem as everyone has a bad day but I am getting several call a day, approximately 40-50 in total so far of employees who have not received their T-4's! We have confirmed the address' as correct.
I am not saying that the postal worker did not handle the letters to be posted properly but seeing as they did not arrive and we had to reprint and re-mail the T-4's, I would like to be reimbursed for the postage paid twice!
Sincerely,

Canada post provided me with a tracking number 1014104307719525 and a order number p169155785 and reference number 964026 and 6529621 then wed sent me an email that my package was delivered! Not! Waited 24 hours as suggested still nothing so I contacted all my neighbours no delivery then I phoned canada post they can't help they issue numbers and don't know to who according to the phone gal I talked to. So I inquired who sent it or an email reference as described in the notice, no such items, so canada post charged someone a bunch of money to deliver a parcel to me that I didn't get and don't care! A parcel been send out on MAY 1ST. 2022 from the post office at shoppers drug mart
at 301 cherryhill village London, ontario, canada, It was to go t o Sweden, It is over six months
an Sweden has not received it. Last it was traced it was at Sesto sorting station, on May 11th,2022
at their time 9;47 a.m Cann't trace it just tells me it is in transit over six months now,
I have been told by the post that it had been given to the investigaters, to find were it may be,
Can we trust the postal delivery at all for others have not received their parcels, hadn't been delivered to the destination . Now this postal are offering to reinforce what the parcel is declared.
Therefore, they are trying to cover up in a way, since, the parcel has not been located.
THOU, the internatioal investigaters are working on it to locate the parcel that should have been
in Sweden, in a months time not six months.
This will be my 4th complaint about this issue this year and my 6th complaint about it in the last 8 months. I live approximately 300m from the local Quickie Convenience store, which has a post office. I have lived at the same address since 1988 and there has always been a postal outlet there. Parcels used to go to the Quickie store when we were not at home. Now they are sent to a store in center town (Ottawa) 1.4kms away and where one has to pay for parking. This store is in an office building and closes at 18h00 daily, not too good if one works normal business hours 30kms outside of center town. This started in Oct/Nov of 2021.
What will it take to get our parcels dropped off at the postal outlet we can walk to rather than being forced to drive to and pay parking?
