parcel delivery directly to customer (not happening)
Hello:
I have completed several online purchases with the intent of having them directly delivered to my son, his wife or my grandchildren.
Each time the delivery service is "canada post" and each time the direct delivery does not occur. Instead, the delivery is redirected to the nearest canada post outlet and and my family is notified to pick it up.
The convenience of ordering and having direct delivery is definitely a perk for me. My family lives a fair distance and it gives me comfort knowing I can reach them by sending a small or large token of my love.
My son works sometimes 24 hours in a day and this leaves my daughter-in-law to care for the home, children and perform all the chores. My gift, which is supposed to be delivered directly, instead she must pack up the kids drive a fair distance, into town and pick up the parcel.
This is embarassing for me and it takes away from the gifting because she ends up doing all the work.
Can you please look into why this is happening? I would appreciate either a call back or an email (at the very least)
The area in question, for deliveries is: Port Perry, Ontario
My contact information is: Donna Brown, [protected] email: [protected]@yahoo.ca
lost parcel
I placed an order online and the package valued $124 CAD was shipped international priority with China Post and handed over to Canada Post. I tracked the package online which showed that Canada Post had received the package on June 15th, 2017. The item was processed and was scheduled for delivery on June 20th, 2017. When I tracked the item again on June 21st, 2017 after I didn't receive the package the status showed delivered.
I called Canada Post and I was informed that the package had actually been sent to a house, which was the wrong address because I live in an apartment complex. They told me that the sender had to issue a complaint with china post in order for them to begin an investigation. This is Ludacris Canada Post is liable and responsible for this package being lost and delivered to the wrong address and they refuse to take accountability for it.
The sender provided me with a copy of the way bill and shipment confirmation from China Post all of which had the correct address on it. I requested to be contacted by a supervisor at Canada Post and never received a call. I am requesting a full refund for this item from Canada Post or I would like to have the package delivered to me
Even after getting a service ticket done over the phone with a Canada post representative, the packaged has been returnered due to a mistake in the postal code which was first supposedly corrected by one of your officials for the package which had to bw delivered yesterday. I am really annoyed with your services and will take a legal action if nothing is done about this. Thankyou
delivery of parcel shipped from uk
A package was sent from U.K. (Books) and it was returned to sender saying the adddress did not exist.
My address 74 impasse John-Roney #2 Gatineau J9H 0H7 was correct. I had to pay for the package to be sent again and gave a different addresss to make sure there was no problem again. The sender had even put my phone number on the package and no one called me.
I have had this problem before with a letter.

mail delivery person, in barnhartvale kamloops, b.c.
My tenant who lives upstairs wathced the mailman give mail toa squatter I was trying to remove from my yard. She observed him go up to the mailman as he was filling the boxes and when the squatter started talking to him the mailman rummaged through his truck and hand the squatter various mail envelopes. Now in the 30 plus years that I have been here I have gone out to get my mail leaving my key in my house only to be told that I could not get my mail until he had loaded the boxes and closed them up for security reasons now I have no idea what he gave him but that blew the canada post security requirements out the window.
Canada post secure delivery is TOTALLY non existent. I'm reminded of the conversation I overheard in a bar where a number of postal workers were bragging about their atrocities and one of them mentioned not wanting to go into work one day and giving a friend his uniform to deliver the mail. The gap between the necessities of unions and the dangers of them were never more apparent than with this pathetic federal institution we rely on for our mail delivery. We have the worst and most expensive postal system in the world, hands down. With all of the talk of robotics taking over the work force in the next couple of decades, I can only hope that Canada post is the first in line to get rid of these overpaid lazy black holes to the tax paying public.
poor customer service
This morning Wednesday June 14-2017 I went to Pickering, Ontario post office and I spoke to a lady behind the counter. I explained to her that it has been three days since my business last received any mail which is very unusual as we receive invoices / bills and cheques on a daily basis. She was so rude to me and said that she only works the counter, that she does not know why we don't get any mail, but she said maybe you will get the mail today. What I am complaining about is her attitude, tone of how she spoke to me and her lack of customer service skills. To be working at a counter dealing with customers on a daily basis she should not be acting this way.
I live in Mississauga and went to the post office yesterday morning to have an important package delivered to my Grandson. I paid to have it delivered priority post and they promised it would be delivered the next day June 14th to Wasaga Beach. My grandson is still waiting for the package at 5:45 and very disappointed. It is somewhere in Barrie to be delivered to Wasaga Beach. This is not Satisfactory Service. I am not happy.
Also I was so angry that unfortunately I too my anger out on my grandson. I told him to stop being a big baby or he would not get a birthday gift or Christmas gift from me again and that I would take back the package and everything that I gave him. He started crying and I called him stupid. Which made him cry. Now i am fighting with his parents because of their mistake.
canada post parcel delivery service
We had purchased a computer from Best Buy who use Canada post as their delivery service. According to the website the computer was going to be delivered on Tuesday (June 14, 2017). We were home all day waiting on the delivery only to receive a delivery notification that it was at the Shopper's Drug Mart depot for pick up. My husband has had a stroke, and I am certainly not able to pick up a computer let alone bring it home myself. Canada Post has delivered parcels to us before, for example my husband ordered a computer and it was safely delivered by a Canada Post person without any issue. This is completely unacceptable as we are not able to get this computer and will likely have to have it sent back because of this. And we can't get anyone on the phone to talk to about this either at the SDM or at Canada Post.
service
Im writing this cause i'm sick and tired of the lady running our post office
(martina), from the day she got here she is rude to people and so rule oriented that it s not even common sense the first incident was I had gotten back on holidays and I walked in to the office and she went up one side of me and down the other because I was suppose to pay 10 dollars a week to get my mail held, if I had know that the previous lady did not tell me when I left. And moving on the negative energy is unreal when u go there, the second thing is then she decided to move my mail box so I had to change a number I had since I came here now i'm running two box number if thats not a pain in the [censor] and i've talked to others and there not please either. The third thing is the other two part time u have working there are the best thing thats happened to the post office, we had a beautiful good energy and good customer service while she was on medical leave then she came back for a week and then went on her holidays, I like a job like that, to be gone for 5 months and still get yr holidays lol, and now I heard that she is giving one casual lady a bad report when its probably her fault and the lady been there 1 1/2 years, sorry I had to vent ny frustration but someone hads to say it can u please get rid of her, thxs for your time
customer service
The women behind the counter at this canada post location (20800 lougheed hwy, maple ridge) need a serious lesson in "customer service". each and every time I go in there there's a line up with typically 4-6 people waiting to get served.
While they obviously have more than one person working... they choose to make everyone wait while only one of them works the counter. almost every time I go in there, someone is walking out (including myself) because of the amount of time it takes to get served.
Today was the last straw. today one attendant decided to have a very lengthy conversation (at least 15 mins) with four people she was (supposedly) serving about absolutely nothing! they talked about their kids, the weather, and even what they were going to on the weekend while all of us stood there in line waiting. are [censor] kidding me?
If management doesn't doing something about this soon I will take take the issue higher up because it's been going on now for months (if not longer). what a joke!
failure to deliver the mail
The attached photo of an envelope indicates that Canada Post was incapable of delivering a package from the US (which cost the sender US$15.50) to a legitimate Toronto address clearly marked on the package. Apparently the postal service can't recognize a Toronto postal code.
This package cost the senderUS$15.50, which, as a poet, he can ill afford. Who will reimburse the sender?
never getting mail
On McLean street nobody gets mail but one house every time is very annoying seeing how I was suppose to get my package but I can't because of McLeans stupid mail carrier and don't say I'm sorry but it's not our problem well guess what it is who hired this person not me not anyone but you guys so do something about it is you don't like it give us our mail and stop but I want my [censor] mail.
inconsistent hours of operation
On Monday, June 5/2017 I had attempted to pick up a parcel the Canada Post outlet in Leader, Saskatchewan. I work out of town and find it difficult to pickup any parcels that arrive during the week, as I am not back in town until after the business closes for the evening. Previously I was picking up parcels during business hours on Saturdays (which worked quite well, being that I work out of town during the week...but unfortunately that service was discontinued). I was told by the postal mistress that they were extending their hours on Mondays to 6:00pm. Upon arriving at the post office on Monday, June 5/2017 at 5:45pm, I discovered that the post office was in fact closed, 15 minutes early! This is unacceptable, in my opinion. If there was no intention of staying open until 6:00pm on Mondays, don't tell people that you will be open.
postal carrier themselves
This incident occurred at 2700 Saratoga Place, Gloucester, ON @ my apartment building. It occurred at 2:15 pm on Friday June 2, 2017. The mail person who is a woman that delivers to my building, stated that my roommates name isn't on the board at the building. However when my roommate purchased his items online and the seller put together a parcel it was noted in the comments in the seller's information that my roommate had to also state that there is a ring number to deliver the parcel to for the seller. The seller had put in capital/big number the ring number and when my roommate went to the other apartment building in the area he did get his parcel from the mail lady but also said to her why didn't she ring the door number so I his roommates could have come down and got the parcel. The mail lady said that she didn't even see the number and it was noted on my roommates package in big ink written numbers on what the ring number is. This now has made my roommate very anger and he wants to "kill" so to speak the mail woman for the building as she isn't properly doing her job as far as he is concerned.
I have told my roommate that I would forward a verbal complaint to your office as he wants the mail woman for my building here at 2700 Saratoga Place to be repermanded as she the mail woman doesn't know how to do her job correctly according to my roommate.
On top of this it was the same mail woman that told both of us to put comments into sellers additional remarks to state that a ring number needs to be noted on his packages in case she is not delivering the mail. Now there has been other carriers that have also delivered mail besides her and they have seen that there was a ring number on his packages. They were able to call up to the apartment suite and get either one of us to come down & get his parcel with no problem. However, this past Friday June 2, 2017 @ 2:15 pm. the mail woman here for the building didn't do her job correctly and my roommate is still floored even now. He also, I believe wants her fired as she said after everything was over and done with that once he pointed it out to her that she actually did see it anyway but ignored the number and didn't seem to be to interested in really delivering my roommates package after all. So if that's the case, which it is then maybe she should be fired, however I am aware that, that not something that I can have Canada Post actually do, but if she were to be fired my roommate would be much, much happier, let me tell u.
Thank for anything that U are able to do so this doesn't happen in the future.
delivery carrier not ringing the bell, just leaving delivery notice
This is probably a new guy but I had to pick up my parcels twice after receiving delivery notice on my door while I was at home. Leaving delivery notice is the same as dropping off my parcels, with addition of ringing the door bell and meeting the receiver who is wearing a wonderful smile due to excitement. But instead I had to go over to that very busy post office near me because some lazy person is too shy to meet and have my autograph. The last thing I wanna do is wait at the door for my parcel and meet the carrier as he/she hangs a delivery notice at my door knob without ringing the door bell.

lost mail
I sent a piece of mail through our mailbox that had a broken phone in it that was going to the warranty program to be repaired or paid out. Was never received and because I just dropped it in the mailbox there was no tracking number or insurance. The 1-800 number customer rep was absolutely no help at all. I would like to speak to someone at the undeliverable mail facility but I can't find a direct number.
mail lady
She isnt letting me know that i have a package and she isnt calling up to my apartment she expects me to come downstairs to receive my packages instead she leaves a notice card as i cant make it to the post office as im sure with other residents in my building she is very lazy and we are having alot of upset residents today a package was supposed to arrive she did not let me know she just left a notice card and I've been home all day she sucks we want another postal mail lady/man
delivery of the registered letter
I have a passport delivery on 29th of May, 2017. The postwoman went to the basement of the building, where the mail boxes are, and started to call people from there to come downstairs to pick up the parcels and registered post. I find it absolutely appalling. This kind of post should be delivered to the door. She did not even check up my identity and gave me an envelope with a passport!

unethical behaviour
I was at home the time the courrier tried to deliver my parcel. Our street is under heavy sewer reconstruction. If he couldn't have reached me by knocking on the door he could have rung the door bell which is extremely loud so that we can even hear it in the basement recreation room.
This has happened before, and I have had to delay getting my parcel until the next day by going to a sub postal station in Shoppers Drug Market.
I do not appreciate this incompetence and would not have chosen Canada Post as my supplier . I would have chosen FEDEX instead. No problems with
them.
I will spread the word around my friends to avoid Canada Post parcel policy as their delivery service is outrageous. Their courriers are so lazy they just want the drop their loads at the nearest Shoppers World for pickup.
canada post provided wrong information to mailer
Dear Customer Service Manager,
Canada post informed one of my vendors that our mail box is non existent, as a result, the mail had to diverted somewhere else.
Canada post should be aware that our mail box is still active. This incident could just a tip of the ice berg since our other mail could be mailed somewhere else. I also believe that quite a bit of my mail has not reached me.
I would need an explanation as to why this happened. Canada post would be held responsible for lost mail and I would be happy to sue Canada post for negligence.
Look forward to your response. Thank you.

Good luck. This seems to be the most common complaint I have come across in this section. It does not matter if someone pays extra for express post delivery with Canada Post and it definitely seems as if it is left up to the discretion of the mail carrier if in fact they decide to take the inordinate step of knocking on a door or ringing a buzzer to an apartment. We may as well all have our post boxes located at the local pickup place and forget receiving anything in our mail boxes besides bills and advertising. With the constant buzz about how AI and robotics are going to deplete the work force to nothing, I hope and pray that Canada Post delivery is the first one on the chopping block to become a victim of robotic delivery! If something important needs delivery, the best bet is to bypass Canada Post altogether and pay the extra dollars for a courier company to deliver. And for this "wonderful" service we receive, we are expected to endure postal strikes every other year, the like of which no other country in the world goes through.
