missing pair of shoes from my checked bag
I boarded flight # BW36 on 27Sept. from Ft. Lauderdale arriving in Kingston Jamaica at about 7 pm .
When I went home & checked my bag, I discovered 1 pair of ladies shoes was missing from the 2 i had packed .So i called Caribbean Airlines & was told to email '[protected]@[protected]@ caribbeanairlines.com 'and inform you .
A slip was placed in the bag by TSA indicating baggage inspection .besides the missing shoes the front of the bag though sipped up, was left unsipped & as such few pieces of clothing there could have fallen out -, may i suggest they sipp up once they search .
The cost of the pair of shoes was $55.00 + tax . Hoping to receive some compensation
I thank you for allowing me to complain and inspite of the loss I will always travel Caribbean Airlines to Jamaica & the Caribbean Islands .

unauthorised credit card charge
On 2nd September, 2018, I traveled from JFK to POS on BW551 at 12:50 am. I had three pieces for the first time because as a tertiary student completing a thesis in Literacy Education, I need many books. I presented my UWI ID and a decision was made to waive the $35. I proceeded to present the credit card for the third piece. I asked how much my credit card was charged. I was told $100.00. I was given a receipt to sign. The receipt had no figure. I was given two receipt. I was told that one was for the waived bag and the other for the third piece, On the plane I looked at both receipts and realized that my credit card information was on both. I am not happy that I was charged the $35. Therefore, I am seeking a refund of the $35 because I need every cent to complete my research. Why would you imply something and do something else? Would $35 make or break the airline? I am disheartened by the event. I am hurt and feel like I was tricked.
hand luggage claim
24th August 2018
RE: Wrongful tagging of hand luggage
It is with great disappointment, that I report an incident where my hand luggage was tagged wrongfully by your airline agent on flight BW 551 24th August 2018. Due to this I was inconvenienced greatly as the luggage had items contained that was not mine but belonged to close friends and family.
While proceeding on the aircraft I was advised that it would be wise to tag my hand luggage because of a booked flight and limited room in the over head locker. As I was travelling with my son aged 15 we both decided based on the request to have our hand luggage tagged.
On arrival at Piarco I spent a great deal of time trying to allocate my luggage. After some time I asked the baggage handler if that was all the luggage that came off of my flight 551, to which he replied in the affirmative. He then asked for my tag ticket which I gave to him. Immediately he brought a small black hand luggage and said this is it. I quickly looked at the brand of the luggage and said that is not mine.
After being told that the number on the ticket matched the number on the luggage I reluctantly took the luggage.
Later when I arrived at my destination I quickly opened the luggage and realized that the contents in it was not mine. I made a rush back to Piarco in an effort to give back the wrong luggage and receive mine... I was later told in the baggage area that I will have to fill out a form C 88and that reports will have to be made to both JFK and Guyana airports respectively. I received my luggage 3 days later. I looking for a desirable resolution of compensation for the inconvenience I experienced
flight 603,438 aug 04 2018, flight 441, 600 aug 18 2018 from canada to grenada return
I am filing a complaint about my flight with my husband, daughter and myself from Toronto Canada which stopped at Port Spain, Trinidad, and the final destination was Grenada. The e-ticket numbers are 106-[protected], 106-[protected], and 106-[protected]. The reason I am complaining about the flight is because there was a 3 hour delay in Toronto when heading to Trinidad. After we arrived in Trinidad, we delayed another 2 hours to get to our destination to Grenada because our plane to Grenada had to go to Tobago first to drop of passengers. We also weren't allowed to leave the Trinidad airport. We then arrived in Grenada after eleven instead of 9 p.m. Coming back from Grenada, we delayed two hours and when we arrived in Trinidad we delayed another two hours. The trip overall had too many delays. I am not happy with the service for my family of three. My email address is [protected]@cogeco.ca. My phone number is [protected]. Thank You.
missing wheel on suitcase.
On August 30 I boarded flight BW 459 to Antigua with my twin grand daughters. On arrival in Antigua I collected my bags only to discover that the bag I had purchased only that morning for $12, 500 now had a wheel missing. On examination I discovered that the other wheels had signs of the bad treatment they had received.
I spoke to several persons in customs when I could not locate a representative of your airline. They tried to locate one for me as I had the bags and two travel worn 6 year with me. When I was finished in customs and I was talking about not seeing a rep I was approached by a gentleman from your airline. He advised that I should go to the desk and wait. When I told him I was trying to catch the ferry he told me that I was to go as it was more important to catch the ferry with the two children as it would soon by leaving.
When I got outside it was raining and the taxi stand was closed. I however along with eight others who were also trying to catch the ferry, some of whom had lost their baggage on your flight, was rescued by a kind gentleman. We arrived at the Ferry station and most of the group was processed but when I got to the window the system closed down. I had to use money I did not have to stay at a guest house for the night with the children.
I am sure if your representatives were available I would have been at the ferry on time and would not have to spend the night in Antigua. I am not however, requesting reimbursement for my expenditure I would like the wheel on my new suite case replaced as it is difficult to manage. I am 67 and it will be a stretch to manage a suite case with three wheels after I abandoned my other cases and bought one which was easy to manage.
I await your favourable response asap.

redress for my ticket
on the 21st of August 2018 my daughter and I arrive at Piarco airport around 12.30pm she had a confirmed flight bw1526 departing at 2.25pm we got to the counter to book in she was having problems reading the itinerary she said she did not see the ticket number i showed her the booking #which wasTT72UO my daughter was bookin she was told her flight was delay I told her the connecting flight to London was at 6.15pm she was given her ticket for4.00pm on flight bw1630 she was told to check in at the international gate and go to gate 8.i left after she check in only to receive a call at 6.02pm that the agent told her she was not book for the connecting flight ba2156 also confirmed and had to rebook or contact British Airways I immediately call some one I knew in Tobago and ask if they could go to the airport and check my daughter they arrive shortly after 7.00pm.the agent at the airport said they were looking for my daughter to get her on the flight and that ba2156 was delay by half an hour where and how did they search for my daughter isn't the PA system used to paged passenger when they cant be found if there was contraband in her luggage I am sure she would of been found. now my 1711usd is down the drain with no redress because of some human error, when human error goes unnoticed and cover up look out the big one is coming real disaster. I have travel on connecting flight and my luggage is bookin from the first destination and onto the connecting flight why my daughter luggage was with her in Tobago and she was to be on a confirmed connecting flight
delay of flight #bw10 on 17 july 2018
Please be advised that we booked a Business Class flight # BW10 departing from JFK to MBJ on July 17 2018 . The flight was scheduled to depart at 7:15 am and arrive at MBJ at 10;10 am. Upon our arrival at the CA departure at JFK we were informed that there is a delay on the flight due to mechanical issues and being reschedule to depart at 3:30 pm. However it came past 3:30 and the attendant could not give an updated answer, we and others waited without being told what the decision is until approximately 4:30 we were informed that the flight is due to depart soon.
We probably lift off about 6:30 pm and arrived at MBJ after 9 pm. We missed our ride to the Hotel and consequently arrived at our Hotel ( The Grand Palladium) approximately 11 pm, at which time every restaurant was closed and we had to accept an inadequate room due to the delay. having lost of an entire day of our vacation, we had to booked an additional night that costs us in addition to all teke other incurred costs an additional$350, 00.
We are interested to know what compensation will caribbean Air offer us for this dlemmna and for us to be continued customers, this was not our fisrt flight and we would like to know if the CA will make it our last.
Thanks kindly for your consideraton on this matter.

caribbean airline first class experience
thI flew on cw#521 from jfk to port of spain, Trinidad. i paid for first class experience, i was send to cw lounge which was comfortable and i felt special, i had w/c service which they came to pick me up, when i get to the get to board 2 black gentlemen treat me less than customer service, i just bought a head pillow and he argue that i now have 3 bags, so i explain that i would place the bag in my carry on to please him, but i am at the plane door. For he never offer to assist me, he tell me i am breaking the rules, i then open my carry on and place the bag in the carry on. I state to him if my eyes were blue this would never be a issue. I asked the stewardist to please get the gentlemen name, she told me she spoke to him and he was rude with her and she then call his supervisor. The other gentlemen wears glasses he scan the boarding pass, theses people should not be customer service. Next subject my opinion on first class chairs are best if you want raise the divider between the seat its your choice, they feed me breakfast, never offer snacks and beverage to give you the first class experience. Then we watch the same movie as the entire plane. this is not a great first /business class service, you need upgrade aircraft with tv in each chair at least for first class, I can choose from Netflix or other choices
I flew on CA#520 from POS Trinidad to JFK, I use w/c services, not was available and one of your supervisor had to volunteer to push me to the gate. then Trinidad security refuse to let me and other w/c customer thru because it seem that all the wheel chair assist people were service imcoming flight and all the other employee who were helping out don't have access to this part of the airport, we had to wait till employee higher on the pay grade come to get us access, now this take away from me shopping for my duty free . I felt rushed
damaged luggage
2 pieces of my luggage were severely damaged on BW525 on 1st august 2018. i checked in my luggage in perfect condition at JFk and on collection at Piarco i found them to be damaged. i made a report to the representative at the baggage claim area and the luggage were weighed and inspected by the agent. i was given a receipt with refrence # POSBW36387/02AUG18/0347GMT. these are new luggage purchased on my trip. the damage is of no fault of mines and i look forward to have them replaced or compensated for.
missing items from luggages (vhadsila silas) and my mother-in-law basmatee raghunandan
On July 17, 2018, we boarded Flight BW527 at JFK airport to Cheddi Jagan Airport, when we reached home some items was missing from our luggages, 2 bottles of mouthwash from each of our luggages and some other items. Also one of my luggage was damage a long rip in front, I can't used it anymore.
On July, 28, 2018, we boarded Flight BW726, from Cheddi Jagan Airport to JFK Airport, we were given seat #26B and 25 B, all the way at the back of the plane, my mother-in-law is 84 yrs old, we were seated next to the toilet which smells very badly, our flight was disgusting and very unpleasant,
was not informed about my delayed flight
on july 23rd 2018 I was waiting to board flight number BW522. We did not get an email that the flight was delayed or any announcement while waiting at the airport. The flight was scheduled for 12.15am and was delayed until 4.00am. they were giving out vouchers for food and when I asked for one I was told that there wasn't any more ….. very disappointing. I missed work due to the delay and non communication with your airline. I would like to know if I can some how be compensated. my booking ref is BW/09NZRI and ticket number is [protected]. my name is Avian McDaniel and you can reach me at [protected]@hotmail.com. looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks in advance
unauthorized credit card charges
We received two unauthorized charges on our credit card in the amounts of $649.38 and $39.38 which were made 7/22/18 but appeared on our statement today (7/23/18). I called the customer service number and spoke with someone in reservations who told me I had to call back, but there may be more charges on my credit card and that she refused to give me a direct dial for the credit card dispute line, refused to give me any information on the charges made with our card. These charges (and any other charges made with our card) should be refunded immediately.
stolen items
On the 13t July 2018, 10pm, flight BW 438 travelling in transit from Trinidad to Grenada, 10 items had being stolen from my luggage,
A new bcbg small bag, guess handbag, male watch set, Rihanna perfume, Pollo cologne, ralph lauren sun glasses, pair of earings, solar/electr charger, pk white men tees and 1 side of my slippers.
All of tese items are newly bought different malls in Florida and online (amazon) except slipper to which I found only 1 in my suitcase.
my destination was 5 mins away from the MBIA Grenada wen I realised my luggage was ramp sacked and so I began searching to ensure everything was there,
surprisingly unbelievable all these stuff was missing. certain items that was inside the bags was dumped out including the plastic the charger being in.
I am very very much upset of the fact, still hoping I can get them back or else need reimbursing US$1000.

customer service
To whom it may concern,
I was traveling from Grenada to Fort Lauderdale Florida this morning when I received a comment that was inappropriate and rude. The male employed at the service desk for caribbean airlines asked me for my last name. I said "white" and he replied with "I could have guessed that". I am a white woman and I did not find that funny at all. I did not laugh but he began to laugh after he made the comment. After feeling uncomfortable the entire time, I began to walk towards security when the same male made the mistake not charging me for my baggage. He asked me to come back to the counter to pay for it. I had to get out of the security line and walk all the way back to pay for my luggage which took an additional 20 minutes which almost caused me to miss my flight. I have flown with Caribbean airlines more than 7 times and I have always been a loyal customer. I really felt embarrassed when this all happened and I'd have to say I'm very disappointed.

My flight time was initially set out to be for 12:15am for the 8th of may to head to NYC. To my surprise I was not told that there would be a delayed flight, nor was I told that it had been rescheduled until further notice. Not only was it highly frustrating to had not been told that the flight was delayed, but also to had been lied to about an email that was sent out to all the Customers about this delay. It was only until everyone kicked up a big major Fuss we were accommodated shelter at a hotel that was an hours drive away from the airport to wait for the next pending flight. I'm very disappointed with this airline, and the agent that booked this flight, to not having the common courtesy to contact it's clients. Laslty I want to add I had work the very next morning at 11:30AM and as this flight delayed I missed a days pay and never got to get any work done. These airlines are very quick to take payments for flights but don't want to do their very best to communicate or be helpful with the inconvenience. Laslty the airline did not organize a Morning pickup shuttle to get us back to the airport on time which is also unacceptable. I would like something done or the other alternative is to seek legal help just for the principle of it all. Oh lastly one of your staff mêmbers was extremely rude and unprofessional and should learn some manners and etiquette in how she articulates what she wants to say to customers Absolutely Appalled with the drama she was giving back, I didn't catch her name but I would definitely remember her face if I go back to Trinidad. Who speaks to customers like that, it was a frustrating situation she should have been more empathic to everyone's worries about not getting home on time. So, so, rude!
Harrassment...Returning from Guyana on the night of the 17th April 2019 I was met with a harrowing experience meted out by two Caribbean associates at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport. As we waited for the flight, which was scheduled for take off at 11:30 pm., kept being pushed back by the hour until 2:15 am the next day. The crust of the matter is however, at the time of boarding I was sitting right next to the first associate with her back facing me and as my seat number was called I was the first one in the line walking up from behind. To my surprise upon my approach she claimed she did not see me and suggested I go to the end of the line. At that point I said “why are you harassing me? She said “I don’t have eyes at the back of her head”. At that point I asked her why are you doing this? When I was the first in line. She gave no answer. She refused and would not board me. Meanwhile others in the line say my position and offered me a place in front of them, which she flatly and arrogantly refused too. All this time I waited without a word being said. As the last passenger left she stood there watching me with no word. So I said to her in a calm manner “are you going to board me or not” she then took my passport. Now, as if that was not enough and to add salt to injury, as I sat in the plane the other associate that collected the ticket entered the plane and came straight to me and asked if I was in my right seat. I said “yes” and she left. I asked myself ‘why just me’ and is this courtesy and professionalism. Awaiting Caribbean Airlines response before further dispatch.
I was charged for one luggage for me and one for my wife
My name is Ray Daniel and my wife Carol Jean Daniel we travel yesterday from Trinidad to Fort Lauderdale, when I checked in at 1131am I was told that I have to pay for our luggage, I pay $79.00 US to the supervisor who took more than 8 minutes for that transaction. My luggage was not over weight my wife luggage was not over weight. I also was told that I have to pay tax for my luggage that came up to $79.00 US. I am complaining because I don't think that I had to pay for one luggage per person, my cell number [protected] my phone number [protected], this is not the first time I travel with Caribbean airlines and this is the first time this happened to me
loss of items in checked baggage
i travelled from jfk to piarco on 15th april 2018 on flight bw521. on arrival at piarco when i recieved my luggage, one of my suitcases was tampered with. on checking i found 3 red dor perfumes missing. the value was $35 US each. my clothes and other items were rummaged through and these items were bought as gifts for my family. i personally packed my suitcase and placed these items in it.
flight delayed
Hi my name is Denise Keitt, I was returning from piarco trinidad & tobago to JFK airport. My original flight was Sunday 8th April 12:15 am, it was delayed to 10:am on Sunday 8th April, however when I got to piarco only to find out that the flight was delayed, the explanation was that there wasn't enough crew members, the staff was extremely disrespectful, rolling their eyes with attitude, at that time i ask to speak with the coordinator which explained that this decision was made at 7:30pm on Saturday 7th, she never once apologize to us because myself and others were asking for hotel stay because at the time I was travelling with my 7 year old son, it cost me 100.00 us to get to the airport from fyzabad and since there was no accommodation I had to leave and it cost another 100.00 us to get back to the airport, I do have cab receipts and would like to know if somehow I can be compensated, I always travel with Caribbean airlines because I never had an issue until now. My passport # is [protected], my telephone # is [protected], my email address is keitt.[protected]@ yahoo.com . I also never received a call telling me that my flight was cancelled. Flight # 520.
My complaint is about flight delay with no phone call and it cost alot to get back and forth.
cancellation of flight
I Edgar Laboy had booked a direct flight from NY, JFK to Guyana, Georgetown with my wife, Shakuntala Deokie. E-ticket [protected] & [protected]. We arrived at the airport 3:30am to discover our direct flight for 7am was canceled. We had to take another flight that was not direct and had a layover at Trinidad. My issue is that where never notified nor given reason why our flight was canceled. My issue is the cost I paid for a direct flight that was not rendered. I feel there was no consideration for this inconvence that was given to me and my wife. I paid for a service not rendered, what is carbbian airline going to do for us so we could feel satisfied with the service it provides to customers. Can we again feel comfortable that we could rely on your airline on our next Caribbean vacations?. Thank you.

I was scheduled to travel on BW 449 from Bridgetown to POS on October 21st 2018. Due to the flood, the flight was cancelled.
Efforts to contact CAL by phone were aggravating .and unpleasant .
After holding on for 46 minutes of the phone in Barbados, the call disconnected . I was caller no 2 .
I had to restart the whole process . The recording was terrible, listening to the services offered repeatedly.
Can’t you play some soothing music ? This further exacerbates the situation . It’s downright annoying !
