No compensation received for flight delayed over 12 hours from Kingston to New York
On July 25th, 2023, my scheduled flight from Kingston, Jamaica, to New York City was severely disrupted, resulting in a delay of over 12 hours. My original departure time was 7:05 am, but the flight was postponed until 6:55 pm. Faced with the risk of missing my connecting flight from New York City to Berlin, I had no choice but to secure an alternative...

I have called at least 6 times to ask about the refund and was told each time that they are in the process of doing the refund. I need my money back ugently, I cannot wait anymore.

Unreceived refund
On August 29th, I purchased two tickets for my parents to travel from TAB to JFK. Due to an error in the booking, I promptly contacted Caribbean Airlines within 5 minutes of the purchase, in compliance with the 24-hour rule, as I was unable to process the refund online. My refund request was approved, and I was informed that the refund would be processed within 7-10 business days. However, as of today, I have not received the approved refund. I have made several attempts to follow up on the status of the refund through phone calls to CAL's customer support. Regrettably, despite multiple assurances of callbacks and promises of resolution, I have not received any communication or the expected refund.
Desired outcome: Refund

Luggage
On August 31, 2023, I checked in 2 pieces of luggage at Toronto Pearson Airport for a direct flight to Guyana.
Upon claiming my luggage in Guyana, I noticed that one piece was compromised. I contacted an airline rep and together opened the suitcase.
I found that an item was removed and a note placed in the suitcase by CATSA stating that a dangerous item was removed from the luggage and handed to the Airline Rep
The item in question was a small electric lawnmower. It had no battery or gas tank. I had checked the website before packing it and there was no indication that it was categorized as a dangerous item.
After trying unsuccessfully to contact Caribbean Airlines, I went to the airport on September 21 and met the rep who told me that she had not received the lawnmower from CATSA.
Now I am out the cost of a brand new lawnmower
My contact info is [protected]@gmail.com
Desired outcome: An explanation and compensation for the cost of the lawnmower ($169.49)Compensation for parking fees at the airport for September 21I am attaching a copy of CATSA document, and receipts

Compensation for change of flight time
Booking reference 2OUSBW,
Confirmation of a return flight from Curacao to Trinidad for Monday 20 November 02:35 PM was given to myself and wife. We have booked a resort for accommodation.
Caribbean Airlines has now changed the date of the flight to TUE 21 NOVEMBER 2023 17:30. I do not have the funds to stay an additional night on the island. I have made a claim to the airline to be compensated for footing the additional unplanned night.
I am in undue debt because of this and it is unfair I have to borrow money.

The reason we were travelling business class is because my wife has a serious back problem.
Instead of getting to travel business class we were both forced to travel via another airline on the 22nd of August - i really don't know how to describe the accommodation on that flight -Cattle Buss - maybe.
We are in formed that there is some sort of compensation.
Looking forward to hearing from you.

Refund
I had 2 plane tickets booked to Kingston, Jamaica from Toronto, Canada in June 2020.
In June 2021 Caribbean Airlines finally approved my refund on the tickets they were no longer flying to Jamaica.
They told me it would be 6 months to receive my refund, I have followed up every month for 2 years and they have yet to get a call back or an answer as to why it is taking over 2 years to refund my money.
Desired outcome: I would like my refund

My wife and I book a flight to travel from Trinidad to FLMiami on the 4th August to 7th August 2023 . However a family emergency cancelled our trip. I book over for the 28th September to the 2nd of October 2023 for my wife but change airport to Miami instead of FL. I was told I had to pay a hundred USD plus vat and a additional forty USD to change airport. I'm quarrying the change of airport fee.(ticket #[protected]). Reservations give me the amount to pay at Caribbean Airlines counter which was just over (1100.TT). Afterwards I did call reservations and spoke to supervisor Nakita to quarry the charge but they told me I have to go back to the Airport to find out what they charge for. I cannot understand if reservations give you a figure to pay why I have to go back to the airport.

Due to the pilot strike and the lack of communication from your airline, I was forced to book a flight back home with JetBlue costing me over $1400USD. No consideration from the airline to the passengers who were in the terminal experiencing this situation. Instead you were quick to post comments on Social Media but not communicate with the passengers at the airport. I want to get a Full refund for my Caribbean Airline flight from POS to JFK and my JETBLUE flight from POS to JFK which has bought me home on 8/22/23. Totally disappointed. I have a health condition that no one in Caribbean Airlines cares about except me. I could not wait until CAL figured out what to do since I had no more medication and do not want to end up in a hospital in Trinidad. Just refund me and let’s end this. All my credit card charges are attached.

Refund from Caribbean Airlines
I purchased a one-way ticket from Trinidad to Tobago on May 28th, 2023, flight date, Sunday June 4th, 2023. On June 1st, 2023, due to extenuating circumstances I called CAL and requested a refund to which I agreed to the terms and conditions.
On my return to Canada I followed with CAL on July 6th at 10:57am for an update, spoke with Terry-Ann who asked for my email address and advised I'll get an email. To date I have not received any emails.
On July 31sent an email to CAL asking for a status on my refund and on August 6 I received an email from my July 31 email asking for the booking reference number and the ticket number. I provided CAL this information on August 6th.
Followed up with CAL again on August 15th for an update and they have gone radio silence.
Desired outcome: Kindly send me my refund. The delay and lack of communication is sending the wrong message. Customer service should be paramount.

I HAVE RECEIVED AN EMAIL FROM LEANNA BALKARAN-PARMASHWAR THAT SHE WOULD ADVISE ON THE INVESTIGATIONS ON MY MATTER SINCE JANUARY 18, 2023.
I HAVE EMAILED HER SEVERAL TIMES AND TO DATE, THERE IS NO RESPONSE.
THIS MATTER IS VERY URGENT AND I AM AWAITING YOUR RESPONSE.
HERE IS MY EMAIL:
Please direct this email to Ronnie Mohammed and his Board of Directors
December 27, 2022
Dear Board of Directors:
On Friday December 16, 2022, I checked in at your Caribbean Airlines counter to board BW601 which was scheduled 23:00 for departure. Unfortunately, your frontline Airline Representative (#761892 – this is what we got on the ID) handled my request for an aisle seat in a very high-handed manner. A series of events listed hereunder evidently pointed to the fact that she wanted to remove me from the flight (see below). The details are as follows:
(1) I was travelling to Trinidad after 10+ years with my daughter, Laurianna Chadee and her partner, Dawid Bober (first-time visitor to Trinidad). He was excited to visit our beloved country after we told him so much about it.
(2) There were delays and some people were coughing in the long lines. When we got to the counter, I asked #761892 if she may be able to help me with an aisle seat since I am over 60 years and I do get sick when there is coughing around me. #761892 informed me that flight was full and she was not going to help us with any request. I tried to request help a second time and it is then she started her threatening behaviors yelling to us that she is not prepared to help and that she will give us back our passports and not check us in. It was this intimidating attitude that led me to say nothing and my party and I stood there in shock; taking all her insults. We were travelling together and combined, two checked-in bags were less than 20kgs; mine was 24kg and she bullied me at that stage that she will press me to pay if I say one more word. She also tried to frighten me stating that I was 1kg+ overweight with my carry-on; I quickly removed my ipad and couple items. She did not tag my carry-on bag deliberately and took photos on the screen in front of her on her personal phone. Why did she use her phone to take photos of our records? She then gave us the three boarding passes and we left feeling distressed and flustered.
(3) I then went to couple Air Caribbean employees whom I saw on the other side and I enquired for the Manager’s name because I wanted to report the matter. To my dismay, they informed me that she was the Manager. I explained to them the incident and they told me I should report it. When she saw me speaking to them, she left the counter and ran up to me yelling at me to return to the counter in front of all the long lines of travelers. Would you believe this? Totally shocked, my party and I continued to walk away.
(4) It didn’t end there; I continued to be targeted by her as I tried to board; now the staffers informed me that I am not allowed to board because my bag was not tagged. I asked them if I was continued to be targeted and they told me to sit in the corner until they boarded everyone. They did everything possible to humiliate me and embarrass me because she deliberately did not tag my bag. I met a few more of your employees where I was sitting in the far corner and they told me to report her since they witnessed everything she did. I was in total disbelief. After everyone boarded, she they made her appearance and lifted my bag and told me to go in when I asked her why I was targeted.
(5) Unfortunately, her targeting me did not conclude here; when I arrived at Piarco, the only suitcase that went missing was mine. Imagine she was able to block my suitcase as well! I had to wait two days after I arrived in Trinidad for them to deliver my suitcase to the hotel. I had to be confronted with additional expenses to buy clothes and basic amenities for two days before I received my luggage from Caribbean Airlines. This expenses was an additional Can $800.00 (funds that I did not have).
I am kindly requesting your investigation into this matter and as leaders of change who are concerned with building a productive caring workforce, I am hopeful that you will offer a possible solution of continuous training and development for your employees to up-skill themselves with lifelong learning. If you continue to do this, then you build your image and brand’s reputation successfully. I am also kindly requesting a reimbursement for the unnecessary expenses which I incurred as a result of being targeted by your staff (this excludes emotional distress).
Yours respectfully,
Satie Margaret Chadee

Improper information given at nmia
good day.
My name is Violet Manning Porter, and on Thursday July 13, 2023, I turned up at the NMIA in Kingston Jamaica for a flight to JFK. The service rep pointed me to the 'Caribbean Inter' line only to discover that I was sent to the wrong desk. By the time the mistake was pointed out to me the desk for international flights was just about closed.
My first issue us that my flight was moved from 1 in the afternoon to 7am, and I had no way of changing or rescheduling.
The next issue is that the reps. are not very helpful and don't ask customers questions with a view to assisting them with finding their right lines/desk.
I was curtly told to go to the ticket desk after the flight "closed" on me and was not sure if I could make the flight the next day due to the fact that someone else was using a card overseas to upgrade my ticket.
I was eventually approached by a representative from another airline who saw how distressed I looked, and was ably assisted 'right on spot' to book a flight for early the next morning. The assistance I received from this other rep far outweigh the service I received from the Caribbean Airline desk/reps.
Desired outcome: I would really appreciate some form of compensation for the distress I faced on July 13, 2023, in the form of a refund fully or partially, seeing that I had to book a flight on another airline.

Caribbean airline baggage claim
Ali, Arlina, and Alain Drigo travelled from Grenada to St. Lucia through Barbados on the 27th of July with one checked luggage. The luggage contains all their tennis clothing and food items needed for the trip as they will continue to move to St. Vincent and onto Trinidad for the rest of the Summer on the tennis tour.
That luggage was first said to be left behind in Barbados on the 28th, 29th and 30th after multiple calls. On the 31st, the manager on duty (Samantha) said that the luggage was lost, she also reports that there are no cameras on the airport that can be used to review if someone walked out with the luggage.
Contents of the luggage
For Arlina- 2 tennis dresses, 5 skorts, 5 dry fit T- Shirts, 5 pairs of socks,
10 underwear, 6 sports bra,and contact eye solution.
For Alain-2 Grenada uniforms (jersey and pants), 7 pants (5 dry fit) , 7 T- shirts(5 dry fit) , 5 pairs of socks, 5 underwear and one turtle plushie.
For Ali- 5 dry fit T- Shirts, 5 short pants,5 pairs of socks,5 underwear
For each- toothpaste, toothbrushes, lotion, deodorant, perfume, listerine
Food items- Large condensed milk, 5 Sardines, 8 sausages.
This is a very a inconvenient and stressful situation as the availablity of tennis wear is very limited.
We would be very grateful if the bag is found and returned as soon as possible.

I checked 2 pieces of luggage at jfk airport on July 25th 2023 at 2:30am. on flight BW527 to Trinidad via Guyana. When I got my luggage in TT there was a missing equipment part for a backhoe. The part is a hydraulic cylinder for a backhoe valued at US $1,146.13.
