Stolen items and cash from checked in hand piece
HELLO
My parents travelled from JFK TO GEO-Guyana on 31st January,2023.
They were asked to check in their hand piece by an employee.
Upon arrival in Guyana, my mom hand piece was completely search and left half open with no tag number.
Gold jewelry and US$1300 was missing from the same hand piece.
After given to royal rush around a report was made and that was it, no help from Caribbean Airlines.
I just cant understand that while being one of the most expensive airline they do not have a direct line for customers to call.

Flight experience
I was on Caribbean Airlines flight BW527 on September 4, 2022, from Port of Spain to Fort Lauderdale. In mid-air, the pilot announced that the aircraft encountered engine problems and that the flight must be aborted. The flight was returned to Port of Spain, Trinidad. After a lengthy delay, we finally took off to Fort Lauderdale.
After four months of calling the airline and trying to find out about compensation, I finally found this site where I could lodge this complaint.
I would be grateful if I could be provided with information about what will be done for the passengers who were on that heart-rending flight.
Desired outcome: There was no outcome

I was charged twice on my credit car for the same flight from Tobago to Trinidad!!
On November 30th I was charged twice for a flight from Tobago to Trinidad! There were 3 of us travelling back to Canada where we live.
My credit card was charged 33.15 x3 and in addition I was also charged $167.68 on the same day! Attached to the $167.88 is this information
877-3192250TXamt 120.00
I noticed the EXTRA CHARGE RIGHT AWAY AND WENT TO THE CARRIBBEAN AIRLINE COUNTER. THEY GAVE ME A PHONE NUMBER TO CALL. I HAVE CALLED THAT NUMBER, AND NO ONE SEEMED ABLE TO HELP ME!
What a disappointment!
MY NAME IS Annette Yearwood-REID
Desired outcome: I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE THE $167.88 RETURNED TO ME.

Refund on purchase made on ticket
On 26th November 2022 I attempted to purchase a ticket via credit card on behalf of my mother (Ann Marie Craig Quintero) to return to Trinidad from St. Vincent on December the 7th, 2022.
After the ticket was purchased, I received the confirmation email from Caribbean Airlines and quickly noticed that there was an error. The error being that instead of my mother's name - Ann Marie Craig Quintero - being on the ticket, my name - Natoya Quintero - was issued as the passenger on the ticket.
At the end of the email noted that if there were any changes to be made or if a refund was needed once a request for such was made within 24hours of purchasing the ticket a fully refund would be granted.
Within minutes I was on the phone with a Caribbean Airlines customer service representative who confirmed the information and said that indeed my ticket was fully refundable, and she would submit the request for the refund which a confirmation email of such was sent to my address as proof that the request was submitted and would take 5 - 10 working days.
I couple days after I was contacted by the said representative who told me the information, she had given me was not accurate and I was only entitled to a half refund. I expressed by deep displeasure for the misinformation as a representative of Caribbean Airlines and informed the representative that I would like to lodge a complaint about such and the fact that I followed all the necessary steps within the stipulated time and was told the refund would be issued to my account.

Date purchased: Saturday 26th November 2022
Desired outcome: In light of such I would like to receive a full refund credited to my credit card seeing that the misrepresentative was on the part of Caribbean Airlines which doesn't reflect well on the company.

Reduced airplane size made our luggage remain in Trinidad
Good day, my name is Raajdai Samuel. On the 20th of December, my husband travelled to Guyana. However, a small aircraft was sent to pick up a multitude of passengers resulting in their luggage's being kept back in Trinidad. My husband destination is a 5-hour drive from the airport. This drive cost $10,000 Guyanese dollar which is equivalent to $350 TT. My husband has to pay that fee two times today to collect come back to airport to collect their suitcase. This is not only a waste of time but money. It is ridiculous. People are working too hard for those inconvenience. Since this is Caribbean Airlines fault, what are they doing to resolve this issue? Are you going to refund their transport expense?
Desired outcome: Refund back their transport fee

Disembarking the Vehicle
My name is Jayme Hoyte, and I traveled yesterday on flight BW 414 to Jamaica.
On disembarking the vessel, I felt a sharp pain to the back of my right leg, when I turned around, I saw a gentleman being wheeled by one of the airport staff. As the pain got more severe, I realized I had a bleeding gash behind my right ancle. Because the wheelchair had bumped into me. This happened just as we came off the air bridge at around 9:50am.
I was never offered any medical attention or another staff notified to wheel me to customs. I had to limp all the way customs. On notifying Caribbean Airlines staff, I was greeted with disgruntled attitudes that made the situation worse. I was only treated at 10:45 by a Fire Officer.
Desired outcome: I would like an airfare refund and compensation for my Tech Beach ticket, which cost 1500USD as I am not able to attend as I initially planned.

very upset that my flight was canceled for 1 day later, I had a death anniversary to attend on the Saturday for my father, my flight was booked since April to ensure I got a flight to attend now seems I still missed it. Very upset and sad about the whole episode that transpired. Have a good day. My flight was supposed to leave on Friday 9th 2022, now it leaves at Saturday at 11:00pm.

Stolen Item from flight
I travelled from Trinidad to Miami on Monday 21st November, 2022 on Caribbean Airlines flight number 484. In my luggage there was an Amazon Halo watch which was packaged to be returned to Amazon in order to be refunded the purchase price. I have attached a photo of what was left in my luggage without me being notified that my luggage was tampered with.
Desired outcome: Refund of the cost of the item.

Service
Regarding flight BW 460, scheduled to leave Trinidad for Guyana on Nov 17, 2022, the flight actually left 7 hours later. It's only after we cleared customs and were in the waiting room were we then advised, around 10 pm, that no crew showed up and the flight was delayed to 6.00 am the following day. It was scheduled to leave at 11 pm on Nov 17. Note, no announcement was made; it was only after I approached a CSR that I was told what the issue was. This is horrible service. Let the records show it was a family of 5 persons (Dexter Emrit, Basdai Emrit, Carl Emrit, Nikisha Emrit and 18 month old Kaliegh Katwaroo). Although we had a child with us, no compassion was shown. I repeatedly asked to speak with the Rep, one Tanisa, who showed up 3 hours after, at which time nothing could have been done. This is outrageous; a delayed flight for over 7 hours, and a child in our company, and no compassion or concern was demonstrated. This, we will not tolerate.
Additionally, on our return flight to Trinidad, BW 239, on Nov 27th, it was only after we got on the plane were we told there was a flat tire and we had to disembark. The flight left at 5.30 pm; originally scheduled for 3.00 pm. Again, we had a child with us (same family of 5). We find your service horrible. Even your staff whom we spoke with on both occasions expressed disgust about the company and its customer service. This is really very poor!
Desired outcome: We need some kind of compensation for having endured these delays, poor customer service, and the inconvenience caused to the child, the parent, and the relatives. I can be contacted at [protected] - DEXTER EMRIT

Refund
In July 2021 my refund request was confirmed. I was told that my refund would take up to 6 months to process, as they were dealing with a lot of Covid related refunds such as mines. In December 2021 I followed up with Caribbean Airlines about my refund and was told someone who follow up. Never happened.
Reached out again in January and February of 2022 and was promised a follow up, no one ever called or emailed about my refund. In March of 2022 after calling in I was told that unfortunately refunds were taking up to 9 months to process and someone would follow up. No follow up again! Called in June of 2022 and was told they would follow up as they were unsure as to what was going on with my refund. A dozen calls later, a dozen promised follow ups and still no answers as to why 18 months after my refund request was granted, why I do not yet have my refund. I would also like to know why the airline is refusing to communicate what the delay is and when I will be getting my money!
Desired outcome: I would like my refund processed asap

Did not receive my Senior Citizen Discount
My name is Kay McSween. On September 13, 2022, I booked a Business Class Flight to Trinidad for the Christmas Holidays. I forgot to ask for the Senior Citizen Discount, and the person who booked my flight never offered me the Senior Citizen Discount. Now when I am asking for this discount, the representative, after having me on hold for the longest while, came back on the line telling me that because my flight had been ticketed they cannot offer me the Senior Citizen Discount. I find that is intolerable. In the first place, it should have been offered to me. I should not have had to ask for the Senior Citizen Discount.
Desired outcome: I would like to receive my Senior Citizen Discount.

I made a transaction on expedia for tickets. The card was declined but yet the sum of $681.00US came out. Damaged baggage
Good Afternoon, My daughter came in on Caribbean Airlines flight on Friday night 9th September 2022 from Miami. Flight number BW483.
On receiving her luggage there was a rip on the back and long dirty lines as if the suitcase had fallen to the ground and something had rolled over it. The rest of the luggage was very dirty.
She purchased this suitcase from Ross, Sunrise, Florida on September 7th 2022 (US$64.99 plus sales tax amounting to US$69.54), two days before she travelled (She has the original bill as proof of purchase) and pictures of the damaged luggage.
The suitcase is of no use and will have to be disposed of.
When we tried to include a scanned copy of the original bill, we are getting an error report.
Desired outcome: Would like to be fully refunded the cost of the suitcase.

Ticket cancellation/refund
I booked three tickets to travel from JFK to KIN on June 27, 2022 with a return date of July 13, 2022. The price for the three tickets was $2662.26 One of the traveler was unable to travel on June 27 so I tried to get in touch with Caribbean Airlines to change the dates, I was unable to talk to someone so I reached out to my credit card company to seek assistance. My credit card company submitted a dispute about the tickets. I kept on receiving alerts from the airlines about my travel dates and check in options. When I went to the airport on the date of travel I was informed that my tickets were cancelled. I had to purchase new tickets for my self at a higher price to travel on the same flight to KIN. My ticket was $1168.42 and for my 3 year old daughter $1248.42, way above what I paid for the initial tickets. I reached out to the airlines about a refund for my tickets and was told that they can’t have dialogue with me they could only do so with the credit card company because of the dispute filed by the credit card company (company policy). Today is September 5, 2022 and I am still unable to get a refund from the airline. I made several calls to the airline and they take my info each time but no one ever got back to me. I reached out to the credit card company and was informed that the airline is the one that can settle this matter. I urgently need this matter to be resolved.
Thanks.

Damaged Luggage
I recently travelled on BW 520 on the 8th of July, 2022 to JFK Airport. Upon arrival, when collecting my luggage it was discovered that there was a huge cut/tear on it. I proceeded to fill out the Property Irregularity Report and was told that I would be contacted but no one did. While unpacking I realized that some pieces of clothing ( about four) and some make-up were missing. Due to the extent of damage I was unable to use it again and had to buy a new set to return home.
