Cash Crusaders Unethical employee behaviour

There is a scam going on in Cash Crusaders Melville and it appears the manager is a part of it too. I was a victim of the scam, they trick customers into "buying" products and then retain the products and take the proceeds for themselves. When I went to enquire they insisted that I indeed did buy the product and will not get a refund until I return it. I then asked to see the footage of me purchasing the product after which they decided to give me my money back without further questions. It's not about the money for me, it's about the fact that such a reputable company would be involved in such scams. It probably wasn't the first time they pull this off and will not be the last unless action is take to ensure that such does not occur again.

Good evening, I am also experiecing a problem with the same shop appearently it is under new ownership. I bought a laptop on 04 January 2018 and it could not switch on anymore so I took it back on the 17 April 2018 and I was told it will be taken in for repairs and I will get it back within two weeks. It has been a month and I been excuses.

Cash Crusaders Stolen items accepted at a cash crusader branch

My son's 7 month old Yamaha YAS 480 Saxophone (valued at R28 000) was stolen on 18 April 2018 when a robbery took place at a well know Afrikaans public high school for boys situated in Pretoria. The school reported the theft and a case were registered at the Sunnyside SAPS on 19 April 2018 (CAS 598/4/2018).
On 20 April, my wife phoned a total of 25 second-hand shops including Cash Crusader branches in and around Pretoria. Eventually the Cash Crusaders branch in Arcadia admitted that they received a Yamaha YAS 480 saxophone the previous day. The school then send one of their staff members to the branch to verify that it were indeed our son's saxophone. The police were dispatched to the branch but the owner refused to hand over the Sax as we were unable to provide them with a serial number. (Marshall Music in Pretoria were the Sax were bought do not include serial numbers on their invoices).
The Arcadia branch informed us that the person took out a loan of R2890 and left the (R28 000) sax at the shop as security! He apparently told them that his employer gave the Saxophone to him as payment for worked that he performed. Two other Cash Crusaders branches grasped that this story does not add up and refused to accept the item but the Arcadia branch accepted the story…
We contacted the Cash Crusaders Operations Manager (Denis Kloka), and he put us in contact with the owner of the Arcadia branch (Brian Muthwa). After several interactions with the owner he offered that we can buy back our stolen Saxophone for an amount of R2 890 (the amount that they loaned to their "customer").
Despite several discussions with Brian and Denis, Cash Crusaders Arcadia were adamant that we should pay the R2890.
Our son is taking music as a subject at school and urgently needed his instrument back so we had no choice but to follow this option. I am however of the opinion that the Cash Crusader branch should not have accepted this item in the first place considering the doubtful circumstances surround the story of their customer. We therefor request that Cash Crusaders, as a goodwill gesture, pay back this amount to us.

Cash Crusaders Sony tv sold instead of being pawned.

The manager and area manager was there at the store 14th Ave, 2 weeks ago when I found out they had sold my TV that was pawned. The day I pawned my TV I was not given a slip. I informed the white salesman the next day and was informed he will get the manager to do a copy of.my pawned TV and to date that never happened. I was only informed when I went 2 weeks later that my TV had been sold. Once again I am following up. For a week and a half I waited calling twice to follow up on my replacement TV. Again me calling. I even emailed the store and no response. This is certainly not acceptable. Wow is this the service the company offers? Is a sorry seriously all I must accept.

Cash Crusaders 2 x x9pro handsets

Please note after the below 2 mails sent to Cash Crusaders, we have now received another replacement handset for Phone A, but not a single word regarding Phone B. They still feel the customer must pay for the damages the repair centre caused to the handset.

Good day

Further to the below email, to which I have received 0% response, my husband have collected both phones from your store at Sunward Park last week.

Attached are 4 photos showing how your repair centre have damaged phone A - why can your people not do the work without causing damage? Will you now blame the customer again for the damages caused?

I have also attached a report received on the 1 handset that was damaged by your repair centre - phone B. From this you still state that we have caused the damage, despite the shop assistant agreeing with us that the phone was not this badly damaged when it was handed in for repairs. No surprise, the phone is still not working as you refused to repair. After the damage your repair centre caused, I would probably also refuse to repair.

What more does a paying customer have to endure in order to be treated decently and with respect. After all, if it isn't for your customers, would you have been in business still?

Is this the way all of your customers are treated?

Good day

I trust you are well.

I write this mail to you as I am very disappointed by your organization's lack of pride in service to your paying customers.

On the 26th of August 2017 we have purchased 2 x Doogee cellphones from your store in Sunward Park - 1st attachment. We have received covers for both phones which was immediately used for these handsets. The same day of the purchase we took these phones to have screen protectors fitted.

At first it seemed like decent phones, but after 4 months, on the 9th of December and on the 29th of December 2017 respectively, we returned both phones due to factory faults.

See below details since the first handset was handed in for repairs:

Phone A:
Appearance of handset: Good condition - handset was clean as it was always in the cover provided
9 December 2017: Phone was handed in for repairs as, even though you could hear the phone locking and unlocking, the screen went blank
29 December 2017: Phone handed back to us, seemed to be working, but started shortly thereafter doing exactly the same thing.
5 January 2018: Due to the phone not working properly, we returned this phone for a 2nd time - blank screen again
February 2018: We were very thankful when we were told that, as this phone was still under warrantee, the handset was replaced with a complete new handset.
17 March 2018: We returned the new handset for repairs as the screen had a line through it. The top part of the screen is grey and freezes up sometimes

Phone B:
Appearance of handset: Good condition, screen had a single crack. The handset was clean as it was always in the cover provided
29 December 2017: Phone was handed in for repairs as the phone would show 100% fully charged, but when you use it, it would switch on and off by itself, stating battery too low for radio use?
11 January 2018: As your repair centre were closed for the holidays, the phone was finally sent in on this day
15 January 2018: We were informed by the store that a quote was sent for the repair of the screen on this phone. This was not the reason the phone was sent in! When we saw the handset that was returned to the store, we were shocked as it looked like it belonged to someone else as the screen was full of cracks and the handset was so dirty. We did not accept the quote as the phone was not this badly damaged when it was sent in to your repair centre. Further damages were caused by the "technicians" who supposedly fixes the phones.

How much more would you be willing to accept when you purchase a product that is clearly faulty? As for the quote we received for repairing a very badly cracked screen, I will be contacting the Consumer Board as your repair centre have been dishonest in expecting us to pay when they were the ones cracking the screen so bad.

Please do note that this complaint is in no way due to the service received from the store, but most definitely due to the poor service from the repair centre.

I would really appreciate you looking into this matter as this is totally unacceptable.

Cash Crusaders iphone

I always wanted an iPhone 6s space gray .. last year October as I was passing Cash crusaders near Traduna mall at Govern Mbeki PE, I went in the shop and saw that the exact iPhone I always wanted was on the listed phones so I asked for the price and the told me it was R5800, I was excited that I'll finally get an iPhone. I sold the Samsung J5 I was using at that time at the same store and they gave me R1200 cash, I used the money to pay deposit for the iPhone, when I was done paying they gave me an iPhone 6 instead of the iPhone 6s and they never reduced the price, I just found out recently the difference between the two phones and I remember the 6s had an s in the box below the iPhone behind the phone and an iPhone 6 doesn't have one, they just said to me when they changed the two phones that the other one I originally bought had a problem and they are replacing me with a white one but it's exactly the same thing.. I feel so stupid right now .. they have cheated me 😭

Cash Crusaders sony xperia xz 64g 4 g

I phone your branch in Welkom firstly to sell my phone they offered me to little the i phoned them again to pawn it on that they told me to bring it in they offered me R 2500.00 to pawn, on arrival the consaltant said he must speack to the manager first which he afterwards came back and told me they do not know if it is a original Sony Xperia XZ or a inport how the hell is this possible i traveled 18 km because i was told to bring it in with my id and the original box and the they dont know.

Cash Crusaders playstation 2

Purchased a playstation 2 on saturday the 31 March 2018 Wandile checked the game it was fine went home there was no sound went to return it Sunday morning they were closed went back monday wandile said there was music in the store so he didnt check for sound spoke to the manager was prepared to add more and take a new one he refused he said he needs to send it for repairs it will take 21 days so I told him how can qe repair something we just purchased he said thats what you get for buying 2nd hand us that the service you give your customers

Cash Crusaders digital fitness tracker smart watch h30

Good Morning Not so dependable or Helpful Cash Crusaders Team.

I received this wonderful Digital Fitness Tracker Smart Watch H30 from my husband on Christmas. Due to being involved in an attempted hijack incident I struggled with the thief trying to steal my car and ended up breaking the clip ( fastener) on the strap of my fitness tracker. We went back to Cash Crusaders in Randfontein (who I might add has the most Useless and un-educational and unhelpful store manager I have come accross, ever, in my working career. Being a Manager myself at the Company I work for I would have either signed a warning or gotten fired on the spot for not assisting a valued customer in a professional manner! First we tried to find out if Cash Crusaders Randfontein can source the straps for my fitness tracker as if and when you sell a specific type of product surely you keep the accesories for that product. Right? No! Not at Cash Crusaders! Nor are they willing to even try and assist to find out where they can source these straps(This now as confirmed by Head office as Confirmed by this So called Randfontein store Manager). Talk about very good Service or walking that extra mile for a customer who has been supporting the Cash Crusaders group for some years now. That Manager promised us he would he would call us back a week ago, to no avail. I had to go there myself on this morning of the 10th of March just to have another door shut in my face! Totally unexceptable and the Service so disgustingly poor. I suggest that the whole Of Cash Crusaders Staff in Randfontein goes for customer Service training! Hello Peter here we come. Randfontein Harold here we come. Why then Sell this item to the public but if need be, they cannot help with something as small as stocking or sourcing a strap? I am going to make it my life' s Mission Cash Crusaders Randfontein to warn every possible potential customer to not support you at all. Spread the word on how pathetic the service is! Not to mention Head office how you guys are also not even willing help! Thanx for Absolutely Nothing! Congratulations on losing a Continued Valued Customer.

Cash Crusaders manager (leeroy)

Good day, Im Ncediwe from Queenstown. I have been a customer at cash crusaders for the longest time. My husband and I got ridiculed by the manager and he used vulgar language to address us([censor]). I did contact Headoffice and the owner called me, he later said that the manager would call to apologies but he has not yet apologised to us. Please assist us regarding this matter as this is not the first time I am complaining about the same manager.

Cash Crusaders refund

My name is Napo. I send my brother to buy a second hand power amplifier at cash crusaders diepkloof in soweto on 28 November 2017. I wanted either hybrid or berhinger amplifier, my brother couldn't find one. He was advised to take the new dixon one for R2400.00. When finding out that he bought the dixon, i immediately told him to take as i previously had the bad experience with that brand. He returned it on the 29th of Nov 2017 and was told he will never get a refund rather anything of the same value. The amp was never used, it was returned in the original packaging We went to the store and demanded to speak to the manager who refused to see us and referred us the lady called Habiba. She still reiterate that they dont give out refunds. After many visits to the store, i decided to call their complaints department at headoffices. I spoke to serveral ladies Thembi who promised to solve my query. Never go a call back. I called and requested the manager, the guy by the name lodwyk promised to sort out the query. He told us to go to the store all has been cleared. We went to store, they said they never recieved instructions from lodwyk. I called him and even send him a shot message. He never came back to me. This has been going on from November to date. I send him another message today he didn't respond. This is how cash crusaders work. I have lost a lot not only money but time as well. I never again buy any thing there and will continue to ensure that they pay for this.

Cash Crusaders pawn items

I went to protea Glen branch and pawned items I went to pick them up but when I got home the TV just played for an like literally 3 hours then it died I sent my items well in a very good condition I can't afford to buy another TV I checked the serial number it did correspond but tried to check if it wasn't tempted with but as I pulled the bar code number number's just faded that really gave me an impression that something is wrong in really need answer please otherwise I'm going to take this matter further.

I went to pawn my TV jvc as I collected it i connected it paid up the loan. When I arrived home the TV just played for 2/3 hours literally. I sent my items in a very good condition working perfectly I can't afford to buy a new TV. I tried to check if the serial number corresponded of which it did but but tried to check if it wasn't tempted with but as I pulled the bar code it numbers just faded of which it gave me that conception that it has been tempted with I really need answers otherwise Im going to take further action steps.

Cash Crusaders unethical behaviour by cashier and manager on duty

On 05/02/2018 at 09:37 the morning I went to Cash Crusaders in Belhar airport mall where I went to purchase a toolbox for R1300. I than went to the cashier Zuretha Freeman who assisted me and asked me how am I going to pay.During this transaction I informed her that I will be paying R500 with bank card and R800 cash, i swiped my card and signed and was given my proof of purchase (slip) and left the store.As I am a mechanic I went straight to my work place and started working and going up and down to buy car parts, not realizing that the cashier never took my cash.
The next morning at 09h35 I was rudely awaked by the staff member Zuretha by whatsapp message as I am a regular customer in the store of the money I had not given and I stole it.The problem is not that they informed me about the mistake it was the rude and vulgar language that was used as communication, I had than replied and informed the cashier that I have by accident used the money and she must give me time I will bring as soon as I have it.Worse part is that I have a slip to proof I paid but was rudely threatened with the police and that they are making a case against me for theft.After almost an entire day of up and down with this cashier I manage to get the money and took it to the store, and instead of the cashier thanking me for bringing the R800 she started screaming and shouting at me and my mother and swearing at us the we are thieves, best of all is that the manager Ashley Peters on duty at that time did nothing to calm down his staff member instead he also just grinned at us and said we must go if we want to go compliant his not scared" go run we not scared".Where is CPA in this store, is this the caliber of people you employee in you're stores, I am disgusted in the service and will go as far as every media support to make my voice known. Very upset.

Cash Crusaders shop condition of parow station branch

I am always at cash crusaders Parow station
The shop is too hot as there are no air conditioning installed the staff might fall sick and customers might boycott the shop as the condition is very bad

I must commend the branch manager namely Oscar for his professionalism in the use of internet marketing and his help and assistance when ever am there he has such a unique marketing skill that I haven't seen before elsewhere

The shop is properly located it's neat to walk around and items are properly displayed on the shelves and glasses

I will always want to return to the shop as their items are properly advertised and the manager willingness to help will always bring people to the shop

I feel if the air conditioner is installed the shop will perform twice more than it's doing at the moment

Cash Crusaders car radio

I buy a car radio on the 20th of November 2017 is was ohk, and the radio started to turn it self off on a daily basis when I go to the store they told me they can't help me cause I don't have an installation slip. I am not happy with the service I got there which means my money is gone for something which is not working, and if this is a service we get when returning goods I will never purchase anything from cash crusaders

Cash Crusaders hand vacuum

Good day.

I went to your Randburg branch looking for a hand vacuum cleaner and requested a sales person to assist me ( Pumelelo ). I had been waiting half an hour to be assisted and had to repeatedly ask for assistance to test the item. The sales person said he could not find the charger and accesories and continued to assist othe clients without assisting me or communicationg as to the accesories. Very dissapointed with the level of servive i was given trying to purchase an item from your store.

Cash Crusaders flat screen t. v

Good day i bought a t.v from cash crusaders in Mamelodi Denneboom and whiten a few months the t.v died without any physical impact i went to report this immediately at the which a lady by the name of Lebo who is also a manager there helped, i told her my story and she advised me to bring the t.v in which i was unable to do immediately as the result of my job however i eventually got around to doing this but before then i had spoken to a lady from stylico the repair center by the name Rainee who explained the problem and she understood and told me to send take the t.v back tell the store to send it to Lenseria repair where it will be repaired at no charge. a week after taking my t.v in i was told that physical damage was done to my t.v and the refused to fix, further more if its to be repaired it will cost me more than the amount i bought it with, i feel like cash crusaders takes advantage of its customers and it it is abusive to our customer rights. first of all i know for sure that my t.v did not receive any physical damage of any sort, secondly there is not even signs of impact on my t.v it just has marks it just looks like something cracked inside which could have done by short circuiting or whatever i m not sure, i just know that it was not physical damage. and now they turn their back on me and refuse any form of help to me which i don't think its good ethics. if anybody know how i can bring them to justice please inform me

Cash Crusaders rude staff

I went to cash crusaders northmead square today 25/10/17 to sell my sons xbox 360 games . A black assisted us by escorting us to the buying department and mentioned that they will offer R50 for each game although I paid between R500 to R1000 for eac game . The reason for selling the games was because we upgraded to an Xbox one and no longer required the games . The black gentleman seeked advice from a white employee "who seemed to be superior" about a game that did not have a proper title label on it the superior seemed unconcerned and rejected accepting that game . I then enquired about the other games that was cased and labelled originally. I was told that games were not new . So I asked " do you want new games for R50 each?"
He harshly replied "yes we wnt brand new games for 50 bucks " How unprofessional?

Cash Crusaders smartphone

I bought a Sony Xperia F3111 at Cash Crusaders 4 days ago.At the back of the phone where the price is there's also a date when the phone came in the store and it was 4 October 2017 and when we looked through the phone we realised there's pictures off the staff of that Cash Crusaders in Parow Sanlam Centre that was taken in January.

When we went there to take the phone back they refused to take the phone back the Manager took it and was 15 minutes gone to the back and came back and refused to give our money back.

Its Fraud what they did and they Overcharged me and the staff was very unprofessional especially the Manager in charge there after we gave out R2000 for the phone.

Cash Crusaders steam iron

I Purchased a steam iron on the 29/09/2017 at the Cash Crusaders Overport Branch. The Cashier was Till 2. Sales person: Mandla

When I went home I plugged the Steam iron and it came on for 5 seconds and afterwards it just did not work afterwards. I placed the iron back in the box for return. I managed to get to Cash Crusaders Overport on Wednesday the 04/10/2017 (4 days later) to get a refund or a credit note. to my dismay the staff I must say are VERY RUDE! especially the cashier. I was told that this iron will go in for repairs which will take up to 21 days to repair. All I want is a refund. If I wait 21 days what will one do without an iron. Obviously I have to now buy a new one elsewhere.

This is unacceptable that I cannot get a refund as requested.

I asked to speak to the manager and was told by the Cashier and the Sales person Mandla that they were all in a meeting.

Cash Crusaders cheated out of my gold chain

So Times are tough and i went to put in a Gold watch and a Gold Chain in by Cash Crusaders Durbarnville for buy back. It expired last week Monday. I phoned the store and said to them i cant make it however i will be back in cape town on the 20th the evening. The gentle men told no problem we have a 10 day Grace period . I still thank him and said I will be there this morning he said yes we are at the shop from 08:00. This morning I arrived they told me first of no they cant help me come back at 09;00. Okay I went back at 09;10 to find out that the cGold chain had been sold and the watch is for sale. No one can help its pathetic and now i have lost a chain that cost R4800 for not even R400. This is day light robbery and Un Acceptable i want answers and if this is not sorted out I am force to take it up until I am satisfied.
