Myself and 4 other people went to Japan for 3 weeks, Naturally, booked our Airbnb's ahead of our departure date, we had 3of them for the 3 cities we were to visit the longest in. However, our 2nd week there we notice a overnight gap between our second and last Airbnb. We were in Kyoto Japan. We found a really nice hotel we wanted to stay in Anne Crowne Plaza Hotel. $246.98 and I needed 3 rooms, we got on the phone with what we thought Was the hotel I made a reservation for one night September 4th-5th, I made this call on September 3rd. I September 4 I went to check into our hotel much to our surprise we did not have a reservation. I checked my email and lo and behold there was a reservation for a holiday inn in Reno Nevada in the US. They said I could not have a refund even though they are the ones that messed up I mean really I'm 5000 miles away from Reno, I'm in Japan you messed up not me, not only that, but they made the reservation for 2 September -3 because Im a day ahead of the US (in time zones) this place is a scam they only $740.94 I'm gonna get it back even if I have to sue them in small claims court I'm gonna get my money back. Just beware when You're making a reservation and you think it's through the hotels website check carefully because chances are if I transferred to a scam number
This is A COMPLETE SCAM! Do NOT make any reservations under CCI Hotel Reservations or Getaroom.com - Made Reservations to stay at the Radisson in Green Bay, WI in July. Never received email confirmation, and called the hotel on July 31st to cancel reservations made for September. The hotel canceled & stated to contact CCI Hotel Reservations at [protected] . Which is just a voice message and we couldn't get through to cancel reservation. Called the hotel back, and was told not to worry it was canceled on their end, and unless we sign for the room we will not be charged. We then contacted Capital One to advise it was a fraudulent charge when we received our statement. Getaroom sent an email to Capital One disputing the cancellation, and even provided the cancellation policy FROM The Hotel itself that states: Each room in this reservation is subject to the hotel’s cancellation policy which is: Cancellation before 9/8/19 12:00PM (America/Chicago) are FULLY refundable. Bottom line have been on the phone for numerous hours with Capital One who transferred me to some Middle Eastern company to speak with Charlese in their Risk department to get transferred to a Call Center in TimBuckToo, for them to give me another phone number, that doesn't connect to ANYONE! Now we are out $320.58...which we can't afford, with my husband being disabled. I am also notifying the Attorney Generals Office & the BBB and I suggest anyone else with issues do the same...ABSOLUTELY the BIGGEST SCAM EVER!
I called and booked I was given rate of $106, on credit card the charge appeared as $160. How do I retrieve the excess charge?
