bad service and can’t satisfy guest
First of all when I placed my order I asked if my 7pc tenders could be made to order. The order taker told me yes! Total was $11. Xx. I was given 4 luke warm tenders instead of 7. I stated nicely that I wanted them fresh. I was argued down they were fresh and hadn't too long came up! But I only like them fresh out the grease. I eat chicken express often in texas and they have never disappointed me with my request. The rude, ugly, prejudice manager come flying to the window talking about "I can just give you your money back because we not about to cook" it was only 7:00pm and I didn't want no refund I just wanted my food fresh. That lady don't need to be working in nobody establishment with that kind of attitude. Then when I asked for corporate number she told me I will just have to look it up online.

My husband and I visited Chicken Express on 82nd/University aroubd 5 pm. Apparently it was close to a shift change and the manager was yelling at all the employees. He was yelling about them trying to clock in, then yelling at day shift to "GET OUT" while people were still in the middle of trying to take orders. We were standing at the register and he completely ignored us then when an employee came to take our order she asked him if he had already taken it. He was extremely rude to her and treated her like she was stupid. I then heard him yelling at an employee because a shirt had not come in. The employee seemed lost and didn't know what to do, all the while the manager could be heard yelling at him from the office. From what I observed the employee was new and didn't seem to know now anything about a new shirt. The manager kept coming out to the dining g room and yelling at the employees from the dining room. Our experience was so uncomfortable we had to leave. We visit often, but if this is what we encounter we will never give our business to Chicken Express again. Most of these employees are high school kids, this is not the military. I don't enjoy eating my meal while listening to a manager yell non stop the whole time.

There was thread hair like material on my chicken stuck in my chicken i got sick and threw up stopped eating went to complain to manager at stire she touched my short and said oh thats thread from your shirt my scrub top is not thread y at all. That made me very mad. I will never go back to that location ecwr agaon and im telling all my staff and my job to not go there either. I was sickened.

9/18/18 8pm Staff was the most disgusting bunch of undisciplined food service employees I have ever seen. Unorganized, poorly trained, foul mouthed degenerates that I did not want serving me something I would be digesting. The staff was arguing, yelling, and cursing at one another while the store was filthy. The Rockwall tx location used to be a decent place to go eat but because of the low caliber of employees working there currently working there, I will not return. It's sad because my family really likes Chicken Express.

I am writing in regards to a complaint with the Chicken Express located in Alvin, Texas which occurred on September 16, 2018.
I pulled into the drive-thru and waited several minutes without a greeting of any type. There were no cars in the lot and two vehicles at the window. I assumed the store was short-staffed so I was patient. After four minutes, I called out to the speaker with a "hello". The response was swift and terse, "it'll be a few minutes".
I waited five more minutes and was greeted with an equally terse "what's your order". No, "how can I help you", "sorry about the wait" or a pleasant ""what would you like". I order livers and received yet another terse response, "that'll take ten minutes, you want to wait for that'? I have ordered the liver dinner many times at that store and the Hartz across the street. Typically I have to wait for them to be prepared so I expected to wait. I continued my order.
When I pulled up to the window, I was greeted by the host, Suzanne. She was very pleasant and friendly. I was asked to pull around to the front of the store while the order was prepared as there was one car in line behind me. Again, I anticipated this. I sat an additional ten minutes and then was informed by Suzanne that they had no liver and asked if I wanted gizzards. I did not.
I did not appreciate the poor attitude of the person behind the speaker, nor did I appreciate the unnecessary extended wait. The person taking the order did not process my order in a timely manner or she would have known there were no livers fifteen minutes earlier.
Someone with your company needs to hold this person, including the manager, accountable. It may just be a training issue. I certainly understand people have a bad day. I had one after this experience. Doing nothing, however, will not solve the problem.
I do wish to commend Suzanne. She was put in a bad position by her coworker and by extension, her manager. She represented your company well. She also credited the purchase back to my card.
wrongfully charged at 2 different locations
I am extremely upset. I went to a location in Grand prairie texas off 360 and ordered a #1 with fries. When I recvd my food i had an xl drink. When i looked at the receipt I was charged for an upgrade which is somthing I didnt order nor agree to, I didnt say too much that day, however I visited another location at eastchase pkwy in fort worth texas and ordered another number 1 and was charged the same [censored]ing upcharge. I dont know what the [censored] yall have going but you are getting over on people charging them for things they did not ask for. I demand that you [censored]ing stop this now are I will go to the extreme to have chucken express shut down. I would like a representative from chicken express to call me immediately.

The owner refuses to provide the necessary tools to run the kitchen effectively. He has told the kitchen staff that they dont make enough money to fix the cameras to provide safty from theft. He also refuses to give adequate pay for those working 5+ months, claiming they need to go out of their way to go to training for a job that they already know for even a $0.25 raise. Tools have broken and he forces the employees to pay for it without refunding them, even when the employees provide the receipt and spending $10+ on items needed to provide adequate customer service. He also constantly yells at his employees and cause many to quit, leaving the store store short-handed and blaming management when employees leave. Management is required to provide the necessary paperwork to file the money at the end of the night, and when the store is running low or is out completely, management gets writen up or yelled at for 15 minutes, or more, on them not running the store correctly. Corporate has repeatedly told him to start serving a certain product and he claims "its a waste of [his] money and more of a reason for the employees to waste [his] product by over cooking." It wasnt until he was threatened to take action on the product or his license would be revoked, that he started serving in one of his three locations. He refuses to pay for employees to get a food handling license and refuses to pay for managers to take a manager class which is required if someone becomes manager. He has also threatened to deduct the manager's pay for reasons that are ridiculous. Reasons including; correction of punch-in/out times, lobby tables having crumbs on them, CO2 pump being out and management not notifying him immediately, and many others. He also threatens to deduct the managers pay when they inform him that what he accused them of was incorrect, or tells them they should quit/find a new job. He also forces management to call companies, (i.e. Coca-Cola, CO2, HotCo), if anything is wrong and if management doesnt say the right thing on the phone to the companies, they are yelled at for 15 minutes or more and told that "[they] have one job and that is to run [his] store the right way and [they] couldnt even do that right. [They] might as well find a different job." He tells the managers and employees that they are here more than he is, therefore they know the store better, but when he does visit the store once every two weeks, he tells them they are doing everything wrong and wasting his product, but turn around and tell us we dont have enough chicken up. He has told management the females are incapable of being cooks because "they dont know what it is like and that they have to lift 50Ibs bags and (do nothing but complain)". When confronted about this, he claims to have never deneyed anyone a job at his locations, but constantly management has to turn down many qualified employees bevause they cant have a female cook.
He also does not have any burglary safety precautions, such as alarms and/or cameras

My son in law went to buy chicken express on 4th and slide Lubbock, texas
he ordered two orders of the chicken tenders the 3 count I believe we live in between Lubbock and Levelland when he open the dinner notice there was a bug in bedded in the chicken tender by the time it was taken back maybe in about one hour later. George the manager there said he could only replace the chicken tenders . I did not want the dinner replace I wanted my money back he said he could not do that. So yes I am mad and that is [censored]. How can you resolve this? One of my dinners was for my special needs child.

First of all the managers are rude. Yall new ppl that's going to be professional . One of ur managers where shorts nd the other one is just plan rude. I know from experience that they I've went thru the drive thru nd it smell like marijuana even when I've been on the inside it smell the same way. Also the tenders are small nd not cooked right nd they b stuck together nd they do not know how to greet customers. They orders backed up nd it takes forever just get an order cause they just sit around nd not do nothing . My suggestions would b get new managers nd more friendlier ppl to work because if not ur business will go down really fast nd quick .

Manager was rude and acted very unprofessional. I was shocked and suprised at her conduct. It was not Stacy but the manager above her. Stays conduct was exemplary. I asked if Stacy was there and she said no. Tomorrow. I asked what time she said she can't give that info out. Then I said well how do I know what time to call. She hung up on me. So I called back and you'd her when was rude. She said she didn't care. So I told her I was going to report her to corporate. She said she don't care. They won't do anything anyway

I went to the Chicken Express on Blue mound Rd. in Saginaw, Texas around 5. When I walked in only one register was open and the girl at the counter was taking an order. When she finished I stepped up to the cash register and she didn't greet me or anything so I was like "Hello can I get..." then she cut me off asking "for here or to go." So I just told her my order (6 cups of ice and a gallon of Sweet tea). When she handed me my change I asked if she could make sure the person making my cups filled them up all the way because usually the person making them would fill them up less than half way and I wouldn't notice until I got home. So she replies "I'm the one who makes it so you could've told me, " I didn't say anything but in my head I was like I did tell you, all she had to do was go in the back and fill the cups up. So anyways she rudely sets my gallon of tea on the edge of her side of the counter then walks to the ice machine and 5 minutes later brings my 6 cups of ice. She tossed them on the counter and disappears. I assume that she's going to get me a bag because she seen that I was in the store alone so how was I going to carry 6 cups of ice and a gallon of Sweet tea and transfer it home, but I see her starting to mop so when she walks by again I ask "Can I get a bag?" And she sighs then walks off, grabs and bag and tossed it on the counter, she didn't even offer to help me do her job. So I pack my stuff and say "Thank you" and she doesn't even acknowledge the fact that I'm thanking her. I then get home and pour me a cup of tea and realize the ice cups STILL aren't full, it's about 75% full. The attitude was my main problem because I can easily take my business else where that's not a way to treat someone who's paying for food where you work at. And as smart as her mouth was she wasn't smart enough to know that I would need a bag to carry the ice. The other employees will usually ask if I need a bag. Chicken Express needs to check their employees and show them how to properly make cups of ice. Their ice machine can make unlimited ice, what filling my cup up going to prohibit? I'm paying for a cup of ice, if you're going to fill it half way up then I might as well pay you half the price. I used to work at a different chicken express and I would never treat anyone this way, that was wrong, I would never blatantly disrespect anyone who is putting money in my pockets. My mom buys tea and ice from them ($8) daily. If anything she should've been kind because I was in a good mood and would've gave her a tip because I know they barely make above minimum wage but I guess if chicken express wants to run all their business away they can keep these types of employees in their establishments.

I came up there because I noticed it was new to town and was amazed by the prices... unreal... kind of ridiculous... I didnt get my son his own food because I am not paying $5 for 1 strip and 1 leg that just too expensive... I got 2 number 1's when i got home the fried pickles I could barely even finish because they were WAYYY too spicy... I love fried pickles but those were not like any I have ever tried... they were gross too... tasted like pennies or something... also why do you only get 2 cheese sticks with a $8 combo... who is that supposed to feed an ant? And they were cold... the cheese was not hot at all and you could tell they were not done any time close to when we ordered... the chicken wasnt even that fresh... the whole order was not satisfying at all and I was very displeased... most likely not going back

I said I'm not coming now it's to hot my car overheating sitting in drive thru line before and I'm a heart patient & elderly! I said can you take my name so next time I'm in town I can come by there? She said NO! If I don't come now then save tenders until I come back? What ? Any time I have ever had an issue with food there they take name & phone number not save food for couple days to take back. I was so pissed when I took one bite I threw box in trash furious! So now go dig it out trash & save in car until

I went to chicken express is roanoke today. The person taking my order could not get my order correct. It took him 3 x's of repeating to get my order correct (snack pack and tea - not difficult at all). I drove up to the window and was behind 1 car. He came out to my car, I gave him the money (expecting change back) and he gave me my food minis my iced tea. He never came back out. So I drove up to the window after the car in front of me deovw off. The same staff member opened the window, leaned out and asked if I was ok. I said no cuz I didn't get my tea or change. He then asked me how much money I have him. It's a good thing I'm an honest person cuz I could have gotten an extra $10. I told him I have him a $10 and the correct change due. He gave me my change then started to shut the window. I said excuse me you didn't give me my tea. He said they were getting it. He finally gave me my tea. I told him thank you and he snidely said Uhuh. So rude and disrespectful. Don't know if I will be going back there and I usually eat there a lot.

I'm goiung to start off by saying I love the spicy chicken strips only reason I go and the sweet tea. I've always had good food and service until now. I am a night nurse so we barely make it in before closing, we ordered on sat 6/23/18 drive thru a little after 930. Did not get to start eating until after 10 which means the restaurant is already closed. Strip s were partialy battered and under cooked. Called around 1036 no answer. So I called the next day and informed management of the awful quality of food manager was pleasant, took my name down and said to come in with receipt for food replacement. Did not go in that day but the following evening went thru drive thru again about the same time, there was many cars in line so I called go inform manager that I was in line at the moment. Manager assured me that they wouuld take orders until line is depleted and should be no problem. Well got up to intercom let them know of my purpose of replacing my food I was told there was not any spicy strips at the moment and would be 15 min wait. That was fine with me, but could hear the frustration in employees voice. So I wanted they practically threw my food out the window and slammed it closed not even allowing me to request sauce which I already did over the phone while in line. But of coarse no sauce and bad service.. Very disappointed
two number 1 meals
I went threw drive thru and got 2 number 1 meals both meals were full of grease. The fries were cold and greasy.. I called and talked to manager and she stated I would have to drive back with food and she would return money or replace meal. I live at least 20 min away, I explained I lived this far away and she stated they close at 10pm that I would have to keep food until I could drive back, who is gonna keep food till night time if I decided to drive back not me this accumulates bugs this was very unprofessional in my opinion and they have lost my business 18.00 down the drain very disappointed.

employees being scared to say they do not want to work doubles because they say they will be treated unfair and will be made to feel out of place and uncomfortable. Employees dont get to sit for a moment when they are tired unless they smoke and employees and mangers only get 2 to 5 minute smoke breaks, and no breakes unless employees work doubles. Manager's should understand and take responsibility if their employee ask something from them and not get angry at them thats what being a manager is, isnt it? To fill the needs of their employees and customers. Leave the personal at home and business for work.

I went to Chicken Express located on Rowlett Rd and Hwy 66 in Rowlett Texas on 6/14/18. I ordered 3 piece fish filet dinner with mash potatoes and green beans. The fish was very hard and the mash potatoes where dry. I called on 6/14 to complain. I asked to speak with a manager but was told there was not one onsite at that time. The staff member in turn heard my complaint and offered me to come back in to get a replacement meal to just bring my receipt with her name on it. She didn't not tell me I had a 3 day time window to come back in. SO today 6/21/18 I send my daughter to get lunch with the receipt with the documentation of who and what time I spoke to the staff member. The manager on duty today tells me she will not honor my receipt and that their fish is cooked to order so there's no proof that my food was messed up. She then in turn tells me that the staff member is not a manager and she should not have told me that. As a customer I don't know that the staff member can't satisfy a customer if a manager is not available. How is that my fault. Needless to say she was rude and nasty to me this afternoon. I typically go here at least 2 times a week. I don't have to lie to get no food. I paid for a meal I wanted to eat and at the end of the day I didn't get that. I just want my meal replaced. I won't be back and neither will any of my family and friends.

On 5/20/18 at approximately 6:15 pm, I went thru the drive thru, pulled up to the menu board, saw the price of the 32 oz tea (1.25), waited when the car in front moved two cars up, I also moved thinking there maybe another order speaker. Since I've never visited this location, I was not aware of their set up. After waiting through approximately 4/5 cars, I reached the windo, I sat at the window for maybe a minute or two she opened the window and asked if she could help me. I told her I needed an unsweetened tea, she then told me I had to drive around and go through the line and order at the speaker, I told her I already sat through the line and I only needed a tea. She then told me it was not fair to the other behind me and I had to drive around, I know I must have had a shocked look on my face. I proceeded to tell her I would be contacting corporate and the franchise owner, she said that was fine. I'm still in shock that this was her response, upon calling the location to ask her name, and what the problem was, I was told that was their policy that you had to order at the speaker and wait in line, due to line cutters.. I explained I DID wait in line, and I never heard anyone ask to assist on the speaker. My question is, was it customer service to tell someone they must go through the line again to get a cup of tea, that had already went through the line, was it fair to that customer. Maggie obviously might need a refresher coarse in customer service, when she knew her customer was shocked at her response, maybe she should have asked for her team lead to come to the window, instead of insulting a customer over a 1.25 cup of tea!
