As I was shopping in the store this evening I overheard an employee being exceptionally rude to another customer. I didn't hear everything that the conversation was about but it was enough for me to decide that the items I wanted to purchase were simply not worth it. I have never been to a store where the customers were treated so poorly. I happened to catch the name Genie on the nametag. If that's the standard that the store is being held to then I would prefer to take my business somewhere else. For a store that is named The Children's Place is most certainly is not very children oriented.
wrong packing slip
Ordered my daughter a pair of snow pants which I wasn't overly excited about because I was pretty disappointed with the quality of the last pair I bought at the children's place but I couldn't find them anywhere else so I bought them. I ended up finding a thicker pair else where so I bought those and planned on returning the ones I ordered. I went to the store in Augusta ME to return the snow pants the cashier said she could put the money back on my master card or give me a gift card, well I don't have a MasterCard but the packing slip said they were ordered with a MasterCard so I look at the packing slip closer after she put the money on a gift card. the backing slip that came with my order was for a brown sweater for a women in a different state 😡. I would like attention to detail should be one of the job requirements. And good customer service skills for that cashier, she was annoyed with me from the start because I had the nerve to return something I wasn't happy with. So disappointed

I placed an order november 29. Saw no movement for days then started to see items being cancelled one by one. I had 14 items total ordered and more ham half were cancelled. I called to have the whole order cancelled so I could go into the store and buy the stuff I needed for christmas. The next day the remainder of the order ships and now i'm told it'll be another 10 days until the money from the cancelled items is refunded to me. That's bs. These are supposed to be christmas gifts and now they're going to be late because they take forever to do anything, don't do it right, and the customer service is [censor]. Never again will I order from here.

Yesterday I placed an order online for two sweaters for my children's school activities. I put my husband as the person to pick up. I just had a serious surgery on Wednesday. I am in no position to drive or be mobile to the point to pick up an item from a store. I arranged Pick Up for the store in Huntington Park, CA which is near my husband's job and would be easy to pick up. I should mention this store is a 45 minute drive from our home. When my husband went to pick up my husband was not listed. The store associate was rude to my husband. She said my husband and I do not have the same last names as this was proof my husband was lying. We live in a modern society. I have chosen to keep my maiden name. Many couples are doing this. There was no need for this comment by your associate. We both find it disrespectful. I called your Customer Service to have my husband's name added to pick up and they said there was no way in the system to add him now that the order is placed and ready for pick up. I find this ridiculous that your system does not have this capability. The Customer Representative suggested I let Order cancel and redo my order. This is such an inconvenience to the Customer. I am completely dissatisfied with your Company, which is a shame because I have been buying from your company for the last 15 years but I will take my business else where.
promo code e-mail
I recieved a e-mail on 11-25-27 stating "Here's $20 to spend". The e-mail stated that the coupon was valid on a single purchase and expired 12-2-27. I was unable to view the coupon code and apply it at check out. This was seperate from the "place cash" e-mail I revieved. I called customer service for assistance placing my order and applying the $20. After confirming this was sent from Children's Place a rep and 2 supervisors refused to honor the coupon. After one hour on the phone the manager disconnected the call with no warning. This is terrible customer service and I would like this rectified immediately.

Someone from your Corporate office really needs to visit the store in Bakersfield, California. This store is so disgusting that it's gross just to walk into. I hardly shop at this store for that reason. There is clothes all over the floor, on the floor behind the counters, dirty clothes from where it has been dragging on the floor and the sizes are not even coordinated. I can not believe that these employees can't take the time out after the store clothes to clean up and make that store nice and neat. I have never walked into a Children's Place store that looks as horrible as this one. You guys really need to look into it. I actually took pictures with my phone the day I went in because it was so disgusting.

unhappy with children's place customer service
I placed an order at the end of September (fairly large order). When I did not receive it by mid October, I sent an inquiry as to the status of the order.
I did not hear back from them. Followed up 2 weeks later and was told by a client service rep "Oh yes, we've started an investigation with Canada Post, but it will take about 14 business days to hear back". She provided no details on WHEN the investigation was ordered.
Never heard back from Children's Place - so I called them back today (November 14) and after being placed on hold for about 30 minutes, I was told "Canada Post says they delivered it". I expressed confusion because when I look up the tracking number it does NOT say that it was delivered.
I asked them for proof that Canada Post says that they delivered it.
They said that they would offer me a one time COURTESY refund. And that if I don't receive the refund within 7 business days to take it up with Paypal.
When I asked for an email to confirm that I would be getting a refund, the rep expressed surprise - saying generally they do not do it - but that she would because I requested it.
Thank you for the refund - but I feel as though I've been given very poor customer service. I had to repeatedly follow up. Children's Place provided NO proof of Canada Post's claim that it was delivered to dispute the information I can get online using the TRACKING number. And now I'm made to feel that I'm somewhat dishonest and that Children's place is doing me a huge favor by refunding me as a one time courtesy?

Hi, I'm Kathleen Wilson, today nov 8, I received a email for 60% off site wide, however I have been trying to check out all afternoon & until now 10:56 pm it's still not possible. I had 8 items in my cart to check out now the site has whipped my cart clean, will not allow me to add anything else & then this message popped up, sorry but our site is down. This is very inconvenient & now I will lose my chance of getting my 60% discount.

I am sick of their customer service. They have such incompetent reps over the phone who do not even know what they are saying.
i placed an order on Monday nov. 20th and chasing them for update on the shipping status. The rep always tells me the shipment will be with me with-in the next 24-48 hrs but is never able to give me the trk#. I am already regretting placing an order with them!
SAME EXACT ISSUE WITH ME. I CONTACTED CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THEY HAD NO IDEA WHAT I WAS TALKING ABOUT. SUPER UPSET AND WHATS EVEN WORSE IS THAT THEY ARE NOT ACKNOWLEDGING US AT ALL. NO RESPONSE ON ANY SOCIAL MEDIA SITES AND THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS NO HELP.
I have the exact same complaint, and I did contact them and was told that they were unable to do anything about it. Told me that there were absolutely no problem with their website. I tried 3 different computers and my phone! The stores must be doing really good to no need a $200.00 order! I am a school principal and I will be sharing my experience.
I would contact Children's Place directly over the phone for assistance. They may need to enter the discount manually if they honor it for another day.

I went to the children place at eastchase mall to purchase clothing for my daughter for her birthday and got a few extra items mind you I'm from Greenville Al. So I don't normally come to Montgomery unless I have too. Got home and noticed that the cashier left the security magnet on my babies outfit she was going to wear on her birthday the morning of her big day. Had no time to go back that day mind you it takes 30.00 to get to and from Montgomery. So I had to wait until I had time tried to call with no answer to let the worker know that I was coming back. So this was Tuesday and I couldn't get back until the following Monday got into the store to face a cashier that was rude when I got in with bag of clothing I brought that day all I wanted was the lady to take the alarm off but the lady was so rude I started to return every she never apologized for their mistake or even me have to return spoke with management on duty told her the incident and when she was told that I didn't get a sorry from the cashier. She let out a bit of an apology. I think this location has definitely lost my business and I carry your credit card I may have to rethink my decision to shop this business I want to support businesses that respect their customers.
While the cashier could have apologized, you mentioned that the manager did give an apology. If your return was processed successfully then I'm unsure what else they can do to resolve your issue.

I placed an online order in August 2017. Then I returned three items for a value of $24.80 on October 4. The amount was credited to my account two days later. Then I noticed on October 12, they had taken $24.80 out of my account. When I contacted them, they told me that their computer system was accidentally crediting double, so they took the money because they had refunded me twice. NOPE, that didn't happen. So I had to file a dispute with my credit union for the return of my $24.80. They have indeed lost a valued customer!

I made an order online of two girl pijamas and one boy which I paid, then I call to corfirm if my items were ready at the children’s place located in Irving mall Irving Tx and the girl who answered said she had just process it and that she had sent an email that my order was ready, this was on a Thursday after room. I went to pick up my order today Saturday and the same girl who told she had process it said they didn’t have 2 of my items and I wasn’t been charge because they didn’t have it. At the end she ended up saying that I had to pay for the item they did have because “the order had been expired” what does that even mean? All hose three girl working together were rolling their eyes and the one talking to me was even laughing sarcastically and saying “whatever, I can’t help you” this is on October 21st 2017

was in your store on Saturday 10/7/17, to return items bought offline (tags still on the items). Valerie (key holder) was helping me and would not return the 3 items, because had no receipt. I just wanted to exchange for other items in store, along with spending more money on my children's place credit card. called the children place credit card center and got the order # and batch #. she never told me that I need pricing. then she thought it was funny that I did not get the right information. asked for mangers name and hours, she would not give me that information and then gave me the wrong phone # to the store. I have NEVER had a problem at any other store with returns without receipt. I want a phone call back from store area manger.

I ordered almost $200 dollars worth of clothes from The Children's Place online. have only shopped in their brick and mortar stores. This was my first time shopping with this store online. The clothing was for an excited little boy's return to school. The shipment never arrived. I was forced to shop again elsewhere. In this economy who has that money to spare?
I was assured by their customer service department that the matter would be handled and that I would be given a refund. To date nobody has even contacted me to say a word. I found out recently through my own efforts that the matter had been closed because the UPS driver left the box on the porch. For the record I do not have a porch!
I was quite justifiably upset. A supervisor at the company assured me via phone that the matter would be reopened. I wasted valuable time contacting UPS who claimed they could not get an answer whenever they called the company. They assured me they would look into the matter. To date nobody has contacted me. I think the entire matter is reprehensible. The callous and dismissive way that I have been treated is beyond unprofessional and cold-hearted.
Below, please find the relevant information. I expect the order to be resent or a refund issued.

The exact same thing happened to me today, I got an email saying it was delivered but it wasn't, and they also said mines was left on my front porch when I called UPS. I'm at home that's how I know it wasn't delivered.

Today I was giving the most horrible customer service experience.Early today I called to put 2 items on hold prior to my visit to pick up later.
During my visit I was accused of stealing a blue emoji hoodie onesie at the childrens place in the riverhead tanger outlet by the sales associate Dianne who was helping me with my transaction while at the register I noticed the pair of jeggings I called earlier for to be placed on hold were the wrong size So the sales associate Diane & I went to the table area to switch them but none were out so i asked her to see if she can pull them from the back and she did as she came from the back I was by the hats section in Toddler girls she looked down at my daughter & asked me to take her hoodie onesie off & said "aren't u gonna pay for that"? I replied Excuse me no I'm not gonna take it off if I did my daughter would be naked she wore it here so I'm not gonna pay for it! I dont understand Why just accuse me especially if u didn't see me trying anything on my daughter nor while shopping I didnt ask to use the dressing room. This bothers me because I'm a returning customer to riverhead location, Shirley & Smithhaven mall location where I purchased the onesie my 2yr old daughter wore today.

FRAUD! SCAM! RIP-OFF! So I purchased items and gained two Place Cash coupons ($10 off $20) which I could not use until September 12th, 2017. The night before I logged in and placed all the items I would like to purchase in my cart for the next day equaling $43.65(coupons applied). September 12th came and the website was down I called and was told to try it back in an hour. I did so and realize all the prices had now increased drastically! I had screenshot my cart items prior and the comparison was shocking, $9.58 to now $19.95, $12.83 to 24.95, $8.21 to $19.95 and few shirts 3.25 to $7.00, all the items were more than double and my total was now $72.85 with the coupons factored in. What a scam!, is this even legal? They encourage you to think you are getting a great deal but they went ahead and doubled + all the prices. I want people to be aware of this scam and how they cheat their customers, I will no longer shop with them because of the way they do business.

I am so annoyed of the lack of customer service provided in store and phone over half hr to pick up. My daughter got blisters that have left marks for ever reps said box n postage was being mailed to return and a dam $5o gift card. Well the dam shoes were 30 plus tax 5$ gas for going back so what's the compensation here? That is an invasion of privacy and it was not her business to contact her mother to tell her that I was in there shopping ... dress under 50% off sign
Yesterday I was at the children's place at lincolnwood mall, Illinois and bought at dress which was under the 50% off sign. When I was checking out the girl said that it was 30% off and I told her that there was a big sign with 50 off. She call the manager which name is Crystal and with a really bad manner and attitude told me that sign was for the skirts that were there before but she did not took out the sign I told her that the sign refers that the clothes on the rack are 50 % off and that I reserve to honor the price because they did not took out the sign and I thought that the were referring as the dress with the skirt. She scream at me and said take or leave it and it is what it is. To be honest I was in shock the way she is because gues this is not the first time she treats customers like that. At the end she if you want call customer service and throw at me the card then she stars to ignoring me. Really bad

I attempted to return a dress to the Children's Place in Markville Mall in Markham, Ontario today (June 09). The item was a gift from a family member and I received a gift receipt but was unaware that there was an expiry to it. When I went in to the store today a sales associate informed me the gift receipt was expired (June 06 was the expiry date) and there was nothing she could do. She was less than helpful but eventually gave me a customer service number when I continued to press. I called the number and spoke to 3 different repersentatives who all reiterated it was company policy to refuse returns past the expiry date and there was nothing to be done. I am now left with a dress that my infant daughter won't wear and a sense of disbelief and frustration that Children's Place, which one imagines caters mostly to busy parents, was unwilling to resolve such a simple issue. Please consider your customer base and reevaluate your return policy. Parents frequently receive gifts for their children (with and without gift receipts) and it can be difficult to get to a store in a particular frame of time. I could understand if the receipt had expired a couple of months ago but it was 3 days. Surely you could have made an exception in the name of good customer service?
This is an unfortunate situation.
