poor service
Hi,
I purchased baby girl top (191755080536) from "194 buckland hills dr. manchester CT 06042) on 03/16/2018 at 09:07 PM.

I found a hole in the top and wanted to returned the item today (03/18/2018) but associate did not return the item saying that it was a final sale.
I do not have kids yet and I purchased that item to gift someone.
I offered to purchase some other item in return. but my request was declined in very rude way.
I am completely disappointed with your associate's rude behavior towards me and my wife. I feel cheated.
Associated were talking in their language (not english) and I had no clue what they were discussing about me
I find this behavior unprofessional and I am looking forward for some responsible person's reply on this complaint.

On this day, I walked into this store with my manager and she is from central America and I am Black African American. As we came in, they came following me every where I went making me feel uncomfortable. TMI but all this week I have been with the stomach virus and I asked "Rosa" (the one who was following me) do they have an available restroom and she replied "Yes! but I can not take you right now because there are to many people on the floor that I cant take you right now. So I approached"Daline"and asked her can she take me to the restroom and she told me they have no bathroom and it is out of order. When my manager approached me at the register, rosa and daline were talking in Spanish saying"Who was asking for the restroom me (Black African American) or my manager (Central American)" So when I looked at my manager, I seen her facial expression and I asked her whats wrong and when they both realized we were together, they knew that they have made a big mistake. White, black, or yellow it does not matter, if someone is needed By Law, every location needs to provide restroom service for every customer. I have never ever been treated in such way and I will never walk into that particular store spending my hard earned money for disrespectful service.
I am complaining about online order
I am complaining about my online order. I placed an ordered February 23 haven't received anything yet. I had to call customer service because they had not shipped my order. Still waiting on my order as of now. It's not the first time this happens. It's unpleasant to have to call customer service for my order to even be shipped. And then have to wait longer to receive my package!

I went to return 2 t-shirts which were under $7. Unfortunately, the closest store to me is 45 min away. I was 10 days past the 60 day return policy. I asked if I could just get merchandise credit since I was going to purchase about $100 worth of additional clothes. They said no. I asked if I could exchange it for another t-shirt and they said no, only the same one. This is the second time this has happened to me there and I walked out without making a purchase. The last time I hate about $30 worth of clothes. I had vowed not to go back, but hard to pass up on some of the deals. Well now I got burned again. All the other Children's stores I deal with are very accommodating and at least give in store credit. They know how to keep customers. Do not shop at this store if you think you might have to return anything.
children place cancelling my order without giving reason
My online order was place and by the next day I received an email stating the order was cancelled. Up to now I have not received my money back into my account nor was I given a reason as to why my order was cancelled. I'm feeling very frustrated cause every time I call customer service I get a different response as to when my money would be back on my card!

I went to my local children's place yesterday in Morgantown wv. It is my daughters third birthday and she has out grown most of her clothes. While shopping an associate overheard me telling my daughter she couldn't get everything she wanted because being a single mom of two I am struggling financially. I could barely afford to get her anything. This kind hearted associate went out of her way to help me by offering me her discount she gets there. There are not a lot of people left like her in this world. Without her my daughter would not have clothes. She made my daughters birthday special and it really touched my heart. Today I found out that associate lost her job for helping me and my children. That is completely ridiculous that she is being punished for having a big heart. The other associates working were rude and didn't even greet me when I walked in but this woman went above and beyond and went out of her way to help a stranger. She should still have her job! I am forever grateful for this woman something should be done about this.
the style of clothing
I am a mother of two little girls (4 & 6). My six year old was a preemie and has had many special needs. She is biracial and hates her skin color. She has a really hard time in school, and settles for mediocrity because she feels like she can't do any better. My daughter struggles in many areas, and at the age of 6 is already on antidepressants and Therapy because of these things.
I know that this is a complaint board, but I didn't know where else to write the company. I walked in to the store today, and was amazed at all of the inspiring shirts! I couldn't afford a particular shirt that had the word princess and diva marked out and replaced it with smart, intelligent... I loved all of the shirts that promoted these little girls to grow up and be smart, confident, motivated women. They are more than just a princess waiting to be saved by a man. They can be more than just a "pretty face." I appreciate that the shirts have all different races as friends. I think that this is the kind of revolution that we need for our future successful women! They don't need to be in abusive relationships, have eating disorders, cutting, or suicidal because these subliminal/subconscious messages you are sending out are changing their roles to become better and reach for the stars. If I had the money, I would buy everything in your store to support your company, and inspire more little girls. Thanking you for changing the world by just something as simple as one phrase on a T-shirt at a time! It makes a difference. I hope that my little girls can experience more to come and market this to the girls sitting across from them reading their shirts in school, parks, recesses, lunch tables... everywhere! Thanks for starting a movement! You're turning girls into confident women! Thank you 🙏🏼 ❤️

I visit the store today 01/21/2018 @ 2:34pm @jersey Garden mall it was HORRIBLE and the reason of my complain is I don't know if I did spell her name right but her name is Aisha or Alisha she's the most nasty assistant mananger I ever deal with don't know how to take care customer at all cursing beeing rude regarding I question I ask her I apply for the credit card and I spoke to the general mananger on the phone cause I never got my 30%off for getting approve and I told her and she didn't want to give it to at all and that's the reason I will cancel my card cause I don't need to have a credit card if the mananger from children place don't know how to take care of customer and plus she was beeing racist to I had the worst experience ever I don't know how she got that position cause she's not professional at all she's horrible ghetto sople like that is going to put the store down on business cause with my experience I won't recommend no one to this store rude assistant mananger

I called my closest children's place store at the barboursville mall in WV. I had a problem with an item that did not go back onto my card. Since we are 40 minutes from the nearest store I thought it would be convenient to talk to a manager and have everything straightened out easy! Instead I was told there was nothing they could do for me because I did not have my receipt, which I asked for them to please look up for me seeing how this purchase was a month ago I did not keep this receipt. They insisted nothing. Not even a suggestion to call customer service. She was very rude. I have worked in retail for many years, and half of that time I was a manager myself. You should ALWAYS find a way to please a returning customer. And I know for a fact they are able to look these transactions up, but they were both too lazy to do that. So thank you, because instead I called customer service! I buy all of my son's clothes here and have for a few years now. Not to mention I buy here for others as well! Maybe I will take my business to Carter's. That's how I feel at this point to be treated like a burden to some young girls!

I was attempting to place an online order on January 11, 2018 at 11:44 p.m. for 5 pairs of boys jeans at $12 each. My total came up to $63.18. I have 3 place cash rewards that I was attempting to use. While trying to use them, the coupon box kept giving me the message that the coupon code was not applicable. Upon research on your website, I was able to locate information that said the place cash would be available on the day of expiration until 11:59pm. I am very disappointed that I was not able to purchase my things because the coupon codes would not work. My son is a larger child, and there aren't many places that I can find the size husky jeans for him. Listed below are the items that I was attempting to purchase:

My mother bought a Christmas dress for my daughter. When we opened it at Christmas we noticed that she accidentally bought a 0-3 month and my daughter is 7 months old. When we took the dress back to the store and explained what had happened to see if we could exchange it for a bigger size the staff was very rude. They kept telling us that the dress was over the 45 days and nothing they could do. I told them that it was never worn, it was brand new we just wanted to exchange and they didn't care. I showed them on the receipt that everything else was 6-12 or 12-18 months, why didn't anyone catch it when they rang it up and they didn't care. I also called the customer service department and they were worse than the store. My mom spent $275.00 at the store and they didn't help her what so ever. I am appalled and disgusted with the service that we received. You guys need to get better staffing, maybe older than 16 and get your [censor] together. I would never recommend this place to anyone after the [censor]ty service we recieved.

December 18, 2017, I visited and bought some clothes for my daughter. I was with my wife and 7 years old daughter.
This store # is 3028 and my invoice # 0208372.
This store has a square counter for paying for your goods and line of a customer is stays on one side of the counter.
I was on the opposite side of the counter and looking for some stuff while my wife and daughter were 2 aisles away from me.
This store manager (a middle age African or Caribean looked lady) very ill-mannered way loudly yell at me that "Go to the other side of the of the counter in the end of the line, move from here.
I just told her that first of all I know where the line is, I am just looking at some stuff and this is not a way to talk to your customers you are way too loud and impolite.
She yelled back and say this is how I talk and do not tell me how to talk.
I said then you should consider to change the way you talk to the customers.
She replied me back in same way loudly that"Sir cut the crap and have nice day"while she was giving me sign of moving her finger over her neck.
Almost everybody in the store looked at me and I felt so embarrassed.
There was another employee in the store a white very healthy woman in her middle age standing next to me. I looked at her and said do you think she should talk like that and she said"I know this is very rude", I asked her can I talk to the store manager and she said she is the store manager. I asked her what is her name and she said I can not give you her name. I asked what is your name as you are refusing to give her name as you are protecting her. She refused to give her name as well.
Meanwhile another customer who was passing by with his family stood and said I heard her and she was very rude and she even talk to him in the same way.
I spend almost 2-3 thousand a year online and in store and this is how I was treated in this store.
I am going to stop spending money in The Children Place and letting other people in my circle and community to do the same thing.
I am also going to put this on the social media and involve Canadian concern authorities regarding this behaviour.
I demand that she should apologise me in front of her staff the way she yelled at me in front of her for no reason.
I will also see my legal options regarding this issue.
I just wanted to let this thing bring in your notice as well. I am also going to send this information with your CEO and GM of stores and other concern company managers/directors.

I went in to Children's place in Miami, FL on Flagler Street on 12/24/17. I took some shoes and a head band for exchange with receipt and tags. They stated because of store policies they were unable to exchange my purchases because it was passed the date of return. I wasn't asking for my money back simply just an exchange for bigger shoes (because they were too small on my daughter). The cashier was very unhelpful, like she had no idea what to say because she was afraid to say the wrong thing, then I asked for the manager and she shrugged her shoulders and said "sorry" can't do anything.
That's so wrong to treat any costumer that way. I worked in costumer service for many years and was always taught try and make sure the costumer leaves happy and to always find a solution, obviously Children's Place has a different idea and "policies". Very disappointed at Children's Place and the unhelpful staff.
Update on my compliant!
I had a children's place rep contact me and they gave me $25 in Children's Place reward points to use for a bigger size on the shoes. Now that's COSTUMER SERVICE!

They have very CLEAR policies. 45 days return or exchange. 45 days is VERY generous as most stores only offer 30 days and some offer only 14. 45 days is a LONG time to return/exchange items. Your purchase was made over 45 days ago. They could be a previous season's wardrobe. They did nothing wrong.
Like I said EXCHANGE for BIGGER size! Product was still in the store, plus the attitude and not willing to help is something VERY wrong!

I ordered clothes for my children online for Christmas. Usually I go into the store but due to some personal issues I ordered online. I received an email the next day that my order had been cancelled. So I waited about 3 days for my money to be returned to me and nothing happened, so I called customer service and they said i needed to talk to my cardholder. I talked to my cardholder and they told me to call the place that I ordered from and every time I called they had some excuse or another and I had to wait on the phone for over an hour. They told me that I wouldnt get my refund until AFTER Christmas. I am NEVER shopping there again.

I went online on December 19, 2017 I see children's place has a sale and in the bottom of the screen I see it says if order by extended orde by 12/19/17 5pm and get your order by Christmas so I wanted to make sure that was true so I called the [protected] and they confirmed that if I order by 5pm December 19 I will received my order by Christmas. Well I was lie too and I don't appreciate it. Children's place promises to ship something they could not complete and now i have to go out and purchase more gifts because you lie to me. I will pay off my credit card and I will never order from this company again. I called customer service several times and everyone kept saying for me to way for the confirmation that I will received my order on time. I got the tracking number and my order is not being deliever until Dec 27, that's very unfair after I was told I would received it by Christmas.

issues with online orders
I have had MULTIPLE issues with online orders. The first issue I had was Children's Place not applying my $70 worth of rewards toward my purchase, even though it said they were applied in my checkout, and instead charged my credit card. So I had to call customer service, cancel the order, and start all over. On top of that I had to wait 10 DAYS to get my money back. I was promised I would receive $15 worth of rewards points to make up for all of the issues, which of course did not happen. So I placed my order again, which was time consuming but I had no other choice since Children's Place can't take orders over the phone which is very lazy in my opinion. This time my order gets cancelled without ANY notification. I waited patiently for my order to arrive and after 2 weeks goes by with no shipment yet I check my order online to see the cancellation notice. I call to ask what is going on with this order and the representative tells me all 12 of my items are no longer available, which makes no sense at all. I asked to talk to a supervisor at this point and then got hung up on. I am beyond frustrated and will never shop here again. I can't believe how horrible the customer service has been.

Can't say anything about their clothes. I was their first-time buyer and of course, I didn't expect my first experience would be bad.
I ordered an item but never received it. To find out why, I called their hotline that was constantly busy. Then someone picked it up and asked me to wait for a little longer. But I was on hold for almost 40 minutes. Is that their "a little longer"?
I needed their assistance, that's why I had to wait for them to pick up. By the way, they were useless and didn't help me. They just advised me to wait. Cool.
the quality of the clothing
I purchased several clothing items for my daughter who is in preschool. The majority of these clothes have holes in them in several spots. I have had them 3 months. I have shopped at the children's place for 9 years however, I may have to go elsewhere to find better quality clothing. I have always enjoyed the clothing made by the children's place however, if I have to replace my kids clothes every 3 months it's not worth it. Also, when I emailed the contact email from the website, I was given a generic reply stating thank you for letting us know you had an issue, well pass the information along. No resolution. Ridiculous.

I should probably stop buying from children's place, i ordered few leggings for my daughter online and bought some in store, . Just with one wash everything faded out, i took them to store and asked them to take and give me refund and lady said she can only give me what is the price that day. I am not going to shop here. I spent $300 on kids clothes and that's what I got very disappointed. Below is just one picture.
