On November 22, I purchased gas for my truck and boat. I live less then 3 miles from the station. By the time I arrived home, my truck began to run rough. Later when I went to start, the truck would barely run. I had to have the truck towed to the Ford dealer ($180.00). Upon inspection by Ford, the gas that I had purchased contained a large amount of water (the station at 11743 US 15 in Clarksville is the only location I have been purchasing gas for the past several months.
I spoke with the owner and he assured me that there was no water in his tanks(he did a stick test which showed some water present in the tank tested,I do not know if this was the correct tank for regular fuel) He did state that he had recieved a fuel delivery the previous day(6000 gal). There was a vacuum truck onsite on Friday November 24 working by the pumps etc.
The repair cost for my truck is approximately $2,600, which the owner said he would not be willing to reimburse me (I would assume this would be covered by his insurance).
Please advise if this can be addressed and I can be reimbursed. Jack Koeppel
