Since 20. feb my Card was temp. cancelled bec of overdue date although I had sufficient fund at my Bangkok Bank from which Citi automaticly debit the outstanding balanc, and this was perfectly working for about 20 years I am a CC customer. I was in no way informed either by sms by which I usuale get any news from Citi nor by phone! I sat in a foreign country and CC did not work, what a horror! Requiring infos by e-mail did not get any clear answer as it only said "we are working on it"But in the meantime I received countless calls from citi but when I answered and asked for english the respond of the staff were always "no english" and closed the phone without any further infos, no bye no good day - unpolite and uneccebtable behavior of a staff of a worlwide operating CC Company! I had no chance to talk even one word. The same experience I encountered when I called [protected] no english speaking staff and when my wife called again and staff saw my phone number they opend and closed with any comments and on a further call even did not answer at all! I was very shocked and truly upsat and at loss by this unbelievable treatment of a CC Customer! After a lenght searching by luck I found 66 [protected] and by help of my thai speaking People, bec the operator also did not speak english, and after a lenght reconnection I was finaly able to speak to an english speaking staff. After much enquiry he told me to go to 7/11 to pay my outstanding balance which I did immediately today 12.03 at 10.33 thai time. The amount of due balance was 14,706,72 thb and due according to Citi sms on11.03 but it was again not debited from my Bkk Bank account therefore I went to 7/11 and paid all the outstanding balance of 19,196.64 THB. I was told by a staff of citi after paying the due balance the card would be Valid immediately but after using the card it was still cancelled and by contacting Citi CC was told it takes 24 hours to reactivate, I was wondering why so long as money transfer from one Bank to another one in Th is done in seconds!
My resume of helpful citi customer service : non available, almost no english speaking staff in a worldwide banking doing business company, unpolite staff=closing phone or not responding when ask for english, no information how to pay the so called overdue balance, letting the longtime Customer clearing and sorting out by himself! The amazing info I found in my account it was never never mentioned I was overdue in payment and it was not possible to transfer money by using link make a payment!
I used several Credit Cards like Mastercard, Diners, Amex and more, when travelled to more then 65 countries and never ever had any cancelled like citi Visa did!
Now I am just wondering IF and what kind of respond and answer I will receive of my mail, after so much of non reaction in fact I do not expect any at all
