Hair dye Clarial Bold series
I purchased 2 boxes of your Bold series hair dye 2 weeks ago in a light red shade to lighten my hair up. I have so much hair I have to buy 2 boxes of dye to cover it sometimes 3. To my grave disappointment the result was nothing near what color was to come out as on my hair. Nor was even near the shade the model had on the box. It actually darkened my hair severely, almost to the shade of brown when my hair was red to begin with. I have been dying my hair at home for 25 years now so I wanted to wait til I washed my hair quite a few times before I ever thought about sending a complaint. Washing didn't help the shade at all unfortunately. And because it turned it almost brown in order to get the red I want back I will now have to bleach my hair first which I never do nor want to do. Clairol Natural Instincts no amonia hair dye
I used this dye 3 months ago, and since then my hair has been falling out in clumps. I have lost half of my hair. Every time i wash my hair my shower drain gets blocked, my hair is constantly falling even when i’m not touching / brushing it. To make things worse, my hair gets greasy within 12 hours now. This dye has ruined my hair, and my confidence. I am embarrassed going out with my hair like this, i have spent so much money trying to find products that will rectify this, but nothing has worked.
Desired outcome: I would appreciate a response, and compensation for the money I spent on the product, products that I have had to by to try and fix my hair.

Hi, please please listen to your customers and go back to the original version of your nice n easy ! This was perfect and not only colour but tge condition of hair. The newer updated version is dreadful both colour and ruins your hair ! It's costing me untold stress and money trying to source the original light Ash blonde. 😤 please do something about it and look at all the horrendous reviews on your changes to what was a brilliant product.

Nice and easy permanent hair dye
I followed instructions on the leaflet to the tee, however I am now left with lank and very smelly hai.
I have used this product for a number of years but NEVER had this problem before. Numerous washes of hair using the conditioner Noo3 provided has had no effect. I would like to know how to remove the awful smell left on my hair. Used 29/10/2023

My usual hair colour ( Nice and Easy 9PB) was not available at the store and to avoid another trip,I purchased Your Natural Instincts 9.It promises to be gentle,
last 28 shampoos, and blend away grays and no harsh root line.
Well, it did colour my hair, but I still have my 1/4 to 1/2 dark grey roots, which I had before I used your product !
I am so annoyed to have to go back to another store, buy my regular product
,and start all over again. What a waste of time, gas , and money !

I have used the hair dye on my hair, and my hair is so very damaged. I will now have to shave my hair off which is something I would never have done in my life. I'm really so devastated and depressed of what the product has done to my hair. I need to get treatments done, which I can't afford 😫 😩 😭 😪 . I had purchased the dye at our local spar supermarket. On 17th September 2023. Application was done on the same day.

Clairol nice'n easy root touch-up permanent #4
This complaint is coming from someone who has been using this product for decades. Applied a few days ago. Two days later, I was styling my hair and noticed some swelling just above my ear on the right side. I never get sick or have poblems so I didn,t think a lot about this. I wish I had tied the two together because yesterday(a day later), or 3 days after the application, I woke up and my left eye was so swollen, I couldn,t open my left eye. I looked in the mirror, and along my hairline, I was swollen, red, and little bumps and itchy. Above and below my lips I had the same reaction. Unfortunately, I always wash and rinse my hair in the shower. Same for rinsing out my hair dye. I have always done this with no adverse reactions. This has been a nightmare, since I also have the swelling, bumps, redness and itching on my torso and above my knee.
Desired outcome: My outcome is a desire to let people know and be aware what products they are using. I am a creature of habit, but just because you have used a product for years, doesn't mean they using the same formula.
Nice n easy sb2
Having used nice an easy for around 10 yrs. Had a slight break for a few months had decided recently I preferred the coverage this product gave me. Bought 2 dyes ( on offer at superdrug). I can only describe what I could call a really bad burning sensation on the whole of my head. Now I usually onlyy had the usual itch and was a little shocked at the amount of burning this produced. This product only needs to be on my head about 35 minutes as it does the job perfectly.
On finishing the colouring process I started to notice my head was very sore. I got my daughter to check my head and can only describe what we found as terrible blisters and burns. I have pictures to verify this. I suffered for over a week with pain constantly having to take painkillers and antihistamine.
Desired outcome: I wmdont know if the product has been changed in the 2 yes but I am beside myself with what happened to me. I would appreciate a response in this matter. As I stated I have pictures of the issue I suffered.
Clairol Blonde it up Crystal Toner in Rose Quartz
I coloured my hair with this product and it turned out muddy brown. I followed the instructions exactly and the starting colour of my hair was light, bleached blonde full head highlights. This result should not have been possible.
I'm very unhappy with this result and have received a very unsatisfactory response from Clairol to my posts so far. Your social media bot keeps directing me to phone you. I do not wish you phone you, as I'm in a different time zone on the other side of the world. Review sites list Clairol as having terrible customer service. My experience is demonstrating this to be accurate. I would have kept this complaint brief and to the point but your own system demanded I add more information or "my complaint would be ignored or unlikely to receive attention". This is absurd.

Allergic reaction to nice and easy hair dye.

My name is Yvette and I used the nice and easy hair dye in the colour black. I brought the product from Superdrug on Tuesday the 15th of august. By the 16th of august I developed bumps on my forehead and then the next day on the 17th both my eyes became swollen and I had to go to A&E I was given medication and told I have had a serve allergic reaction. I then had to go back to the hospital on the 18th as my condition got worse and both my eyes were completely shut and I could not see. The doctor once again told me that I have had a serve allergic reaction and had to inject me with anti histamine and give me steroids and pain relief tablets. Due to using your product I have gone through a lot this whole week my scalp has been leaking and my hair line is red and bumpy.
Desired outcome: I would like compensation as I have missed a wedding due to this and I’ve also had to cancel all of my work shifts due to this. I have also had to pay for Ubers to get to the hospital.
Nice’n easy hair dye
The instruction leaflet concerning “allergy alert test instructions” is very misleading. Throughout, the term “tint tube” and “developer bottle” are used instead of “colour crème” and “colour activator” respectively and repeatedly!
Tube 1 colour crème tube does not have any mention of tint tube.
Bottle 2 colour activator does not have any mention of being the developer bottle !
This could cause confusion and maybe the printed leaflet hasn’t been updated ?

Clairol Root Touch-up shade 8 (UPC [protected]) lot 227020 bought from Amazon in July
I do my wife's roots, and am very familiar with Clairol Root Touch-Up. The color tube contained a partially separated, partially grainy product (as though it had coffee-grounds in it) that did NOT blend homogeneously with the activating lotion. My wife was familiar with the normal look and feel of Root Touch-Up, and we felt that this unit had been subjected to some extreme condition or manufacturing error.
I found the online chat unuseable and was invited to "leave a message" when I called [protected]. Honestly, your customer service seems to have taken the day off.

I bought my first box of Clairol nice’n easy and the bottle exploded on my counter!
This is the first time I have ever bought a boxed hair color. Seems like Clairol nice and easy. Doesn’t like to make good product anymore I guess. In order to test it, I had to make it to put it on my arm. I then sat the finished bottle, completely sealed and tightened on my counter in the kitchen. I’m not sure when but when I came out to get something out of the refrigerator, the bottle had exploded and left a stain on my counter that I cannot get off now!

Nice'N Easy cream nº9
I used this for the first time and my hair now has a green tinge to it. I used it as instructed, on light blonde/white hair and am so depressed to see this, especially as I have long hair. In the past, have used other brands and this never happened. My last hair color, about 2 months ago, was Nutrisse, and it was a neutral, natural blonde, neither ash, neither gold. Plus, the colour had already washed out. This Clairol product is a disaster and I don't know what to do. I looked up Clairol help line and it directed me to a place where I need to give a credit card number so they can bill me $2 just to answer my question. This is ludicrous. Help!

I am so very sorry you went through that. I’m also so very sorry because you probably are still going through it. I just bought my first ever boxed hair color and it was also Clairol nice and easy. I made the product so I could test it on my skin. I sealed it up nice and tight next thing I know it exploded on my kitchen counter and left a stain on it which I cannot get off. Hopefully it’s enough people complain. The company will pull the product or maybe they just will lose customers in the business will go down the tubes! Good luck!

I purchased the above product on 17th May 2023 from Super drug in Braintree Essex. When I opened the box I discovered that the colour cre'me and the protective gloves where missing. This is obviously very poor as it has rendered the pack as useless. I feel I need to be compensated for this purchase as it was unable to be used. The bar code on the box is as follows:

I was looking on the Boots website for cruelty free hair colours, when I came across the above product.
I have already reported my findings to boots and trading standards. This product is NOT VEGAN. A vegan product cannot be tested on animals and this company clearly does, this is a deliberate act to mislead customers that care about animals and are against the barbaric use of animals for cosmetic testing.
Desired outcome: I want this product relabelled ASAP This is against the law in the UK
Nice 'n easy brown/black
Th! S product is dangerous. The chemistry is so caustic that if you accidentally get a splatter or drop in your eye in can cause blindness. There is a warning on the side of the box that actually warns against using it on eyebrows for that very reason! There are currently many products on the market that are much more nice 'n easy - as well as much, much safer! Furthermore, this product stains you skin when used as directed. This was unsettling. I have never had this occur before while using the aforementioned "safer" products. I had to scrub using an abrasive to remove the staining from my skin. With the alcohol/soap I was using - this caused stinging because the clairol product was bonded to the top layer on my skin and that layer needed to be abraded off to remove the color. However, the staining of the skin beneath my hairline could not be removed because to do so would have removed my hair! This product is also dangerous because the print on the box is too small for many people over 40 to read without glasses and when you are in the bathroom - one of the things you probably don't have a reading-glasses! In 2023, this product should be! Llegal!
Desired outcome: We need a class-action lawsuit against CLAIROL for damages - & the FTC fining them for marketing a dangerous cosmetic product to the general public. Licensed hair salons should be the ONLY distribution channel.
Clairol root touch-up - COLOR BLENDING GEL
I purchased this product from Coles in Claremont Western Australia on Wednesday 19th April 2023. I used it this morning 22nd April. I am very very dissatisfied. I have never lodged a complaint about a product before. I followed the instructions to the tee and even left it on for the longer time of 15 minutes as per leaflet. It did NOT blend away the greys as stated on the box. I am between colouring my hair and usually use Schwarzkopf Hair Mascara Dark Brown 16ml
$11.00 Woolworths. I thought i would try something different as it said it lasts up to 10 washes and seemed easy to apply. Very disappointed that I wasted my money on this product. It is intended for multiple uses but pointless using it again. The only good thing about this product, are the gloves!
Desired outcome: A response and possibly a refund but I would need to find the receipt.

Oh hi, I prepared the root touchup color as normal. It came out with streaks of very dark brown color. When mixed up, it looked very dark. Not like normal. Since it looks so bad, I did not use it and I open a new box which was perfectly normal. I would like a replacement for the bed box.

Incorrect Color on 8 Box of Nice'n Easy
I have been a Clairol Nice'n Easy hair coloring for over 20 years. I always give companies that I prefer, three (3) times to continue using their product until I give up on the Company.
This afternoon I used color 8 of your Clairol Nice'n Easy hair coloring. I left it for 40 minutes on my hair and when I washed the dye out and shampooed, plus used the tube #3 on my hair, it was a dark brown color on my hair.
To say I am quite disappointed, is an understatement! I have brown hair naturally and do NOT want brown hair.
This is the third time that I have had a different color come from a box that stated #8 (which is medium brown).
What is going on at Clairol? I totally understand what you are pulling on your long-term customers and I do NOT like or want it anymore.
I am done with Clairol products. Stop doing what you are doing or you will NOT be a company much longer, as customers stop buying your products.
Desired outcome: You can NOT do anything to change my mind. I gave you three (3) chances and you failed all three (3) times. What a shame!
