I had an office call with Daniel Basinski, a physician assistant, on June 4, 2020. I have been coming to this office for 15 years for arthritis. We decided on this visit that I needed one of the new blood tests that detects allergies to metal, since I have had problems with a left knee replacement done at another hospital. Mr. Basinski told me that Dr...

I was appalled today when the radiology technician coughed into her gloved hand instead of her elbow. I was at the Cleveland Clinic on Columbia Rd, Westlake, for a mammogram and bone density test. Very unsanitary to have her touching me for the mammogram then. Wasn't quite sure whether to say something or not. Advanced training might be in order with protection against covid 19. I expected much stricter hygiene practices.

So, upon arrival, I was literally hasseled by the "nurses" or whatever they are just inside the doorway. They took my temperature and forced me to remove the gloves I had just put on before going inside. They insisted I not wear gloves inside their facility, by some twisted psuedo logic they think is somehow safer. It's not. Upon moving through the...

I had an appointment at the Cleveland Clinic on Cooper-Foster Park Road in Lorain, OH, on Monday, April 20, for ear infections. During the phone conference on that Friday, April 17, I was assured of the utmost safety precautions that would be taken during this Covid-19 pandemic. I was met at the main entrance by a team who took my temperature and asked me...

Cleveland Clinic Orthopedic PA

Dr. Piuzzi PA Margie had my mother on too many pain medications that my mom could not stay awake and she wanted to discharge her along with her sugar being 327. Than as I was trying to awaken my mother she came in and said you are fine you are definitely getting discharged tomorrow. As my moms eyes went shut again. My mother couldn't even speak correctly because she was on way to many medications. My mother also has cirrhosis of the liver and this just adds to her problems even more. This PA needs looked into.

Cleveland Clinic Emergency room personnel in Avon, Ohio

In the Emergency Room of the Avon, Ohio facility there is/was a technician/nurse/doctor trainee or whatever his categorization is who likes to bully patients. He's about 6'1" to 6'2" weighing approx. 220 to 240lbs and is completely bald. I went in for an issue that needed tended to and he gave me a hard time in a harassing manner because I was wearing a baseball cap. Unbelievable. Then when it was painfully obvious he was trying to provoke me, he attempted to open and look into my mouth with his bare hands...that's right, no gloves! I told him to get out of the exam area and send in someone else. He leaves, and unbeknowst to me he calls security. I'm all of 5'10" 185lbs. Where I come from, we call guys like that chicks. The the security guy takes one look at him and then looks at me and instantly realizes the absurdity of that idiot calling security on me. So I have a talk with the security gaurd as he walks me out and it becomes very clear that he knows that punk is jerk. Months later I flatly refused his assitance when he tried to treat me again. And in front of other clinic personnel I explained exactly why. Be forewarned Cleveland Clinic, if that punk ever comes near me again, I'll file charges of harrassment against him and sue the heck out you all. To other patients, never be left alone with that piece of garbage. Mental issues like the ones he suffers from should preclude him from being near other human beings at all. And certainly he has no business whatsoever being in healthcare in any capacity.

When checking in for a CT scan recently, I was asked in front of about a dozen people what my birthday is. This is completely unacceptable, dangerous and unsecure. The Cleveland Clinic needs to change this "procedure". I'll be happy to bill you for this consulting advice. My usual minimum fee is 100k. Your people need to offer anyone they ask this question of, the option to simply show ID with a birthdate on it. This allows patients to maintain some level of security and dignity. So there you go, problem solved. Let's see if you do it.

I feel that it is very important that before I submit this complaint that I share that Cleveland Clinic literally saved my life about two-and-a-half years ago. Cleveland Clinic the clinic

The Cleveland Clinic's main campus in Cleveland, Ohio is a pathetic poor excuse of a hospital. What a JOKE! DON'T go there if you value your life and self-respect. If looking to donate funds keep a wide distance and your money far away from them. The people running that place is slowly running it into the ground. The Founders motto there was...Patients first. Now it's Patients LAST!

Cleveland Clinic appointments

Why must I give my DOB to make an appointment? We are having ID theft issues and were told to NOT divulge DOBs except to law enforcement or other government official. I know my Cleve Clinic # but that is not considered as secure as my DOB. Obtaining someone's Cleve Clinic has tyo be much more difficult than a DOB. This policy is RIDICULOUS!
In the past, I have used my Cleve Clinic # instead of my DOB to make appointments, check in, etc. Why is this no longer sufficient?
How can I make appointments without divulging my DOB?

Cleveland Clinic dr dahlia mccoy refused to honor patient appt

I always had good interactions when going to Cleveland Clinic Weston Florida. Until... I was late 7 minutes to my appt with this doctor . She refused to honor my appt. because I was late by a few minutes. She Rude assistant told me " you were late" and you will have to reschedule. When I explained I was only a few minutes late she said I could wait there all day until someone cancelled but no guarantee per Dr McCoy. I was not happy and this doctor even knew I had a breast biopsy appt in 3 days and I just need a clearance. She didn't care and I was shocked at the insensitivity and not caring. I am shocked this hospital that strives itself for patient satisfaction and " do no harm" has this doctor on staff.

Cleveland Clinic disgusted and disappointed

05/21/19
THE DISAPPOINTMENT
I went into Dr. Kontact's office at 0845 this morning for a blood pressure check in Wadsworth. I live in Perry which makes it about a 40 minute drive one way. I got there about 0850. When I got off of the elevator the office was a little dark. The lights behind the receptionist desk were off? I thought that was a little odd, but hey whatever. There was no one waiting in the waiting room, and very few cars in the lot. I thought I'd be in and out considering that it normally takes 5 minutes to do a blood pressure check. Not today though! Today it took 25 minutes to get back into the room and roughly 2 minutes to do the check. Mainly because I was over the whole ordeal and was more than ready to leave. The good Dr. was not in? I asked both of the nurses working about files that were supposed to be in. And no one knew anything about that? When the cat's away, the mice will play...

THE DISGUST
Normally I wouldn't bother writing about something as trivial as a couple of nurses dropping the ball when their boss isn't in. In fact I could care less. But today it was really just the icing on the cake. Dr. Kontact lied to me about medication that he prescribed to me Lisinopril. Dr. Kontact and I have discussed on numerous occasions about my concerns with taking medications. And I have on numerous occasions told Dr. Kontact that I will not take any medication that I can't stop taking whenever I wish to do so. So as I've researched the side effects and my ability to stop whenever I choose to stop. I have found that by stopping cold turkey, I could increase my chances of "experiencing rebound hypertension, which is a sudden increase in blood pressure in response to stopping or reducing hypertension medications.", and potentially cause a stroke? Does this sound like what Dr. Kontact and I agreed to? The answer is no it doesn't. The Lisinopril was prescribed for high blood pressure. Which subsequently has lowered from where it was when I began seeing Dr. Kontact. In fact the good Dr. told me on my last couple of trips to see him, that it was only a few points higher than it should be. So with that being said why prescribe something that goes against the patients wishes? Why throw away the patients trust? Have Doctors forgotten the Hippocratic Oath that they had to take? Or could it be the desire to "fatten" the size of the year end bonus from the pharmaceutical companies for prescribing their poison? Not only is this disgusting but potentially could have caused my death. Is this how the mighty Cleveland Clinic operates? Pocketbooks first, patients second? One last thought Who needs a Hippocratic Oath when you can charge $50 for a .25 Tylenol...

Cleveland Clinic taylor rush phd-mellon center

Dr. Taylor Rush PhD has got to be one of the rudest people I have ever come across. Very incompetent and treats her patients like garbage once she gets them to trust her. She breaks their hearts when they need her the most. She has the abilility to be one of your best Doctors at the Clinic but falls short because of mental issues I believe. When talking with her patients Dr. Rush seems to get extremely uncomfortable when some subjects are brought up and starts staring at the floor almost as if remembering past horrors from her past and not being able to look at her patient the whole conversation. This is quite sad but it is her job to help the patient. If she doesn't want to deal with people's painful memories then she shouldn't get us to talk about them. Its not fair to us.

Cleveland Clinic dr. taylor rush phd-mellon center

To whom it may concern
This Doctor has got to be the rudest I have ever dealt with. She is nice one minute and a [censored] the next. She can be caring one visit and the next act like you are completely annoying her. This is very unprofessional of any Doctor especially a Psychologist with a PhD. She is supposed to be there for the patients in their time of need. If a patient screws up even in the smallest way she dumps them like a can of spoiled sardines. Doesn't even bother to check one on how they are. Very unprofessional! The way she carries herself Taylor Rush needs her medical license REVOKED ASAP.

Cleveland Clinic hiring process and communication problems concerning your hiring process.

To Whom It May Concern,

My name is Christina Crandell and I was recently told on April 23rd, 2019, that I was no longer being considered for hire due to non respondence to their phone calls and not completing the tasks they sent via email on time. This is not true. It is hard to complete a task on time when they send you the task and it says that it's already overdue because they were late sending it to you in the first place. They said that I did not respond to their phone calls. This also not true for I explained to them in a vioce mail that I work 9am-5pm and that I am not allowed to use my phone during those hours because I am a caregiver and we can be terminated if are caught using our phones when we are to be taking care of our clients. When they called and left voice mails I would get back to them the same. She still called me during my work hours or when I was driving on the freeway trying to get to work but I made sure I got back to her that evening or the next day with a message on her voice mail and thought we were duing fine with that arrangement but now I here otherwise. Then also if you have rescinded the offer of employment on March 29th, why was she still sending me tasks afterwards. I already have my badge and everthing and I did not see the email she sent on the 29th of march because she sent it under an email address that I did not recognize. Mrs. Sara also admitted to in a voice mail that she had been sending emails for me to the wrong email. So here I am stuck trying to figure why I'm being blaimed for their tardiness with sending me emails that when sent were already overdue, saying I did not respond to their calls, and sending emails for me to the wrong email. I believe I should be compinsated by hiring me for the job I applied for. I can be reached by telephone at [protected] 0r email: [protected]@yahoo.com. If you send me a fax number I can fax over copies of the emails sent that overdue. It would be greatly appreciated if I could be reconsidered for hire.

Thanks Sincerely,
Christina Crandell

Cleveland Clinic hospital

In January, 2019 I had 'chat messages' and secure email with the Heart Nursing representatives. After having a few chat sessions /secure email. I responded to each of the questions in detail. I decided to make an appointment with CCF and the doctor that was suggested. When I looked into what this particular doctor's 'specialty' (so to speak) was -- it was for open heart - in all the correspondence I indicated that I was looking for 'minimally' invasive procedure or trial. When I called to explain that I really would like to look into the minimally invasive avenues for my issue. Nurse was irritated that I had wanted to go in this direction. She said that my records would be sent to the doctor's that would handle my type of request.

After weeks of not hearing anything I happen to login to MyChart and to my surprise I was schedule for two days worth of MD visits and a multitude of tests on March 28/29, 2019. It took a while for me to digest that I had appointments but never contacted either by phone/email/snail mail. I proceeded to try to find out who I should talk to about the new development. I finally found a very nice and informative assistant who led me thru some of the process. I was told that after I finished the MD visits/testing that the doctor's (3 of them) would compare notes and let me know the best course of action. The 2 days of visits/testing went without a hitch in spite of the lack of initial communication - each and every one of the stops that I was to make during these 2 days was well organized - so I was impressed.

What I am not so impressed with is the fact that there have been NO follow up conversations from CCF since my visit. I was expecting to hear what these 3 doctors thought would be the best course of action. All I have heard is that they suggested is join a random 'study' (it took 3 weeks to get the study information). I was unable to get any type of ‘course of action' other than the information about the study. I have made several phone calls asking for copies of the correspondence between each of these doctors to see what they even thought about 'another course of action'. I have been unsuccessful to get copies of the letters/emails/doctors notes /thoughts on each of my 3 MD visits. This type of correspondence is not normally considered part of medical records but I feel is is vital information that I should have considering I have yet to hear the final recommendation. I want copies of each and every item in my file including the doctor-to-doctor correspondence - each of their individual thoughts on all the tests that were run other than the test results that are viewable on MYCHART. If they are not going to give me their recommendation as least I should have their notes, etc. to share with my doctor's here in Columbus - this is my right!

Please send all this to me via secure email based on last 4 of my SSN (3352) and DOB of 8/**/1954, MRN #[protected]

BTW - for the readers of this if you are asked whether you are a user of MYCHART for ease in looking at tests, etc. from other EPIC system facilities - don't bother because NO ONE LOOKS AT PRIOR TEST RESULTS EVEN IF INFO IS ONLY A COUPLE OF MONTHS OLD - CCF can't be bothered. No one goes over any of your labs/test results with you. Not that I am an expert - but if there is a RED exclamation point next to the test result name - I'm thinking the RED exclamation isn't there just to look pretty!
