opening hours advertised
I live in Habana near Mackay in Queensland 4740. Every year I like to make the most of extended trading hours to avoid the Christmas rush. I researched the opening hours for Mount Pleasant and planned my shopping agenda in accordance. One of the last things on my list was to go to Coles at Mount Pleasant shopping center and buy the crackling ham roast that's been advertised and some other goodies, as my Husband and I approached the store, I said in shock 'they're closed' a passing security guard stated that they decided to close at 10pm instead of the advertised 12am. I want to pass on my disappointment and frustration as I have to make another trip into Mackay today to purchase the things that I was going to pick up from Coles last night. This is unacceptable behavior from Coles and I felt the need to let you know my frustration and the inconvenience that it has caused.
berries with mould
I have purchased three punnets of berries this week all with mould growing on them. Two punnets were Krimson berries and the other was raspberry. I have photos and 2 of the 3 receipts. I would like to be reimbursed as these were not able to be consumed. This is a direct risk to my health and my sons as we both ate a few before seeing the mould at the bottom on 2 occasions. So disappointing! This mould was found the same day as purchase all 3 times which has led me to making this complaint.
customer care negligence
Store: Westfield Burwood NSW 2134
I cashed out $100 in $20s on 17th dec 18 but found one of the notes was physically damaged next day only. It was my fault that i didn't double check them at the counter because i trusted them. I went there to exchange the note the next day but they refused straightaway saying they don't keep such notes at all. I was absolutely shattered by their response.
I'll have to go to a bank to exchange it.
Also I might change my shopping store .
phone support & overcharge
Coles...
My name is Pavel Batal, and I have been shopping at your stores almost exclusively, [ apart from few lines like seafood salad that I have to get from Woolworths ], and also shopping online for deliveries for many years now.
I placed a delivery order today online as I always do, and then rang your assistance Department, [ as I always do too ], as there was some 'stop message'.
I am an elderly man, and I always want to make sure that the order goes through OK, so I always ring.
Until today, all your assistants were more than helpful, and I was satisfied with the service.
However, today I was on the phone with a female named Emily, and she was profoundly unhelpful. She wouldn't finalize the order for me as she wanted to 'TEACH ME' for next time.
We argued about this point over 10 minutes, I requested a different assistant, but she continued to play with me like a cat and mouse.
Finally, I somehow worked it out, and placed the order.
I find this attitude disgusting, and my next delivery will definitely be with Woollies.
Also, I have been this morning at your store in Innaloo, [ W.A. ], and tried to return two items that were bought there about 4 weeks ago, for my Lady friend, who wants a different brand. I shopped at Innaloo store for a very long time.
I have been sick lately, and 4 weeks is a long time, and I couldn't find the docket.
I didn't want a refund, but wanted an exchange for different goods as I am a Disability Pensioner, and have no use for these items myself.
I was left there standing for half an hour, only to be told that it is not possible.
I realize that that's your Company's right to refuse help, but the way I was treated especially by a woman at the desk named Anita, was disgusting.
Needless to say that I shall NEVER put my foot in that store.
I then returned a packet of cigarettes, [ mainly out of anger ], and at my Bank Account, it still appears as a charge but not credit. In this instance though, I think that it mat take some time.
I don't like changes very much, but it's off to Woolworth or Aldi, [ where I've never been ], and good-bye Coles.
Your very unhappy customer...
Pavel
abandoned coles trolleys
There are a number of abandoned coles trolleys littering the streets around Wanneroo Shopping Centre and there seems to be more everyday, why can't the big supermarkets adopt the same policy as Aldi with a coin donation to get a trolley which is returned when the trolley is taken back, rarely do you see Aldi trolleys abandoned. I report these trolleys on your lost trolley app but they are never collected so what is the point, they look unsightly and make the area look like a third world country and the consumer ends up paying the price at the till surely as one of the largest food retailers you could come up with a solution to the problem as it seems to be more of your trolleys than any other retailer in the area. Or get the company collecting them to make a sweep of the surrounding streets it's not that difficult there are so many they can hardly miss them, outside one house I counted at least 4 and at a bus stop at one point there were 8.
service on north sydney branch 2.12
I wrote this email on 2.12 night after experiencing a verbal attack by the manager and didnt get a reply:
I just did my shopping at Coles north sydney and was slow since recently had a brain concussion. I was in great pain and confused so i was slow.
I didnt do any harm to anyone. Just did things slowly. When i got to the end and went to the cash, the manager Andree asked me if i want him to do the checkout i said no id like to go to the self scan(thats how i always do i like bagging myself so fruit are not squashed by heavy things).
It was free aside from 3 others who did self scan i think. So I didnt interrupt anyone with my slowness as there was no line. Also the time was 9 something, not closing hour.
The cash kept saying to put the items in the side after scanning and i asked if it has to be this way (i have back injury and the angle was difficult for me.) the manager Andree saw im slow and came like a crazy person commanding me he will help me from now. He did everything shaking like a maniac and tossed my things when scanning, puting in my bags in an order i didnt want and i asked him to stop. He started speaking to me violantly saying he has cameras and ill be banned. I said i didnt do anything and good to have cameras to show this. i dont understand this behaviour. In the end he scanned twice an item that i scanned and i had to check the whole scanning again after his crazy-drama show.
After i told him i would like to complain so please give me your name (and i was speaking in a polite way not aggressive like him. I was stating facts. Even though in this stage i was crying.)
He refused giving me his name(didnt wear a name tag) and started speaking to me very disgusting as if hes a bully teasing me. Like harassment.
He said his first name and i asked for the surname to file the complaint in case there are two employees with the same name (and again i was speaking politely calmely and to the point the whole time, and he was nasty.)
He refused and spoke to me in a violent way. I said he scanned double he said "no no u did it!" i can't explain good enough because english is not my first language but he was speaking like a bully and like hes on purpose trying to insult and fight, it was such a horrible experience that i had to take the time write this. He made me feel ashamed in public, made me feel like im being attacked, made me Even shake from stress.
The last lines he talked was as well of a bully. I stuck to facts and logic and he took it to my personal level and was aggresive violent.
This is not a behaviour certainly not a manager's.
I will never go back to buy coles after this. And i think this person should not work as the coles manager because he is an attacker.
You can see in the camers everything.
hope island.
This store abuts the Hope Island Marina.
I have been a marina resident for the last 7 years and have seen Coles become more unfriendly towards marina patrons.
The parking system was changed to suit Coles customers which is still causing major inonvenience to bertholders in the marina.
Then the trollys were fitted with brakes making it impossible to wheel goods down to the boats.
There are 300 berths in the marina, with a large number of livaboards. Some of them elderly. This should be a huge customer base for Coles, but with all the restrictions in place, more people are shopping at the newly opened Woolies
...a brand new store with Aldi and undercover parking. If I have to get my own trolley, which was advised by your store manager John, when we spoke today. I will probaly drive the short distance to Wollworths as well.
John advised that the body corporate and council were calling the shots and it was out of his hands. I am not sure of this fact, as I have seen many changes to the status quo over the years, many of which have benefited Coles, with scant regard for marina customers.
Surely it would be in Coles interest to try and address the issues and retain the shoppers living right at their back door.
Looking forward to a response.
Yours
Norm Walker
Well said Norm, I hope they take some notice, seems amazing that so much money is spent advertising to attract customers yet they ignore or worst disrespect those right on their doorstep !
packing of groceries
As we now bring our own bags for groceries, staff are continually over packing my bags and making them so heavy. I have plenty of bags always but they pack as much as they can in each bag and i go home with spare bags. Staff dont seem to care what goes in together, I have bags for my cold things and they always get used for tin items. Today when I came home I found cream with my fruit and vegs, biscuits in with meat, iceblocks with washing powder, soft food items underneath cans.. This has been happening almost every week. I spend at least $200 each week and dont expect to have squashed groceries all the time. Maybe some training of packing groceries and what food goes together would be good. When I put my groceries out of the trolley onto the counter I make sure the items are together.. cold things together, meat together, fruit and veg together etc. I have shopped with Coles for more than 35 years but the service is getting bad.
Something have to change so please help.
undelivered goods
About online Coles(flybuys ID: [protected]), my order [protected] is undelivered, but the order information changed from undelivered to delivered(Wednesday 05 December, 6:00am - to 8:00am). The driver first delivered goods at 5am which showed in order information. But he did not leave any goods in front of the door.
I send enquiry to online.[protected]@contact.online.coles.com.au.
Jai of Coles Online Customer Care said he has contacted with the driver. And I send another enquiry to online.customercare. Harpreet of Coles Online Customer Care said I should contact with others.
Hope a refund or give me the goods.
Thank you very much!
coles sim card
I bought a coles prepaid SIM card on 7/12/2018, and I tried to refund it on 8/12/2018 12:30. The Revesby NSW staff Amanda said I can't refund rudely impatiently due to the policy. Also she questioned me that maybe I used this card. And asked me to come back to see store manager on Monday. This customer service is extremely awful and terrible that make me sick.
gift card purchase - cotton on
I purchased a $30- Cotton On gift card from Coles Warradale SA, paying with my credit card. The gift card did not scan properly & the bottom of the Coles receipt said "3rd Party Gift Card (94) Declined". As the gift card was for a teenager's birthday present I queried why it said "declined" on the receipt & was promptly advised by Cole's staff that it had nothing to do with them as it was a "third party transaction". This was the extent of their ‘help'. I requested a refund or replacement gift card & was once again told "it's not Coles problem" & to contact Cotton On. Becoming annoyed & insisting that Coles needed to offer assistance as they were more than happy to take my money & sell me the "declined" gift card, I was advised that it was Coles company policy Australia wide that it was not Coles problem if any issues arose with the purchase/activation of any gift cards they sold & that I needed to contact the gift card store. When contacted, Cotton On confirmed there was indeed a problem with the gift card & it was unable to be used. They advised me to go back to the point of purchase - Coles. So back I went to Coles Warradale who eventually supplied me with a phone number to ring & then attempted to send me on my merry way. I stood my ground, insisting on using their in store phone to make the call. The call was pointless as that department dealt with Coles brand gift cards only, not other businesses. Complaining once again to Coles Warradale staff, I was provided with yet another number. This time I was advised that if I supplied an email with photos of my receipt & the gift card then Coles would undertake an investigation, check with Cotton On that the $30- had not been used & "may" issue a refund or replacement card after that. No time frame was provided. Again I requested a refund of the transaction or a replacement gift card so that Coles could follow up with the "declined" Cotton On gift card they had sold me. Once again I was told no. Moral of the story is DO NOT buy gift cards from a third party, only purchase them from the actual business where the card is to be used AND do not expect any form of customer service from Coles Warradale, SA who could not have cared any less about the problem THEY created.
fresh made up pizza with expiry date 7/12.
I bought 2 pizzas on 5/12 late night from coles so I don't have to find food on the hottest day like today 37c.
To my horror after grabbing it from the fridge, both of the pizzas were mouldy around the corners. I had a closer look and discovered it was the tomato sauce that was used on the base of the pizza had gone mouldy. I have photos if you need them. I'm very very upset!
service
I am not happy with the service & I am not the only one but most [censored]s don't complain so here's my complaint why after 9am in the morning they don't have the self service register's open & they only have one register open at the front of the shop & one at the back so I have to walk from the back of the shop to the front because there was 8 people waiting at the register self service closed & people waiting at the only register open at the front of the shop this happens on a regular basis it's only 28 kms to Leeton Woolworths I'm told much better service looks like I'll have to start shopping there
coles asian style salad kit
On the 1/12 I bought a prepackaged Coles Asian Style Salad Kit from Coles (Wyoming centre) to have with my dinner, I constructed the salad and then served it, once it was on the plate a small black spider crawled out from within the pile of salad.
This completely put me off my dinner and all of the contents of my plate was discarded. Everybody refused to eat the physically contaminated salad and it also went to waste as well as the $5 it cost to purchase.
This is my favourite salad and now I am unsure if I will ever purchase it again due to this experience.
Below I have attached the packaging of the contaminated product as well as the contaminant (spider)
My contact details are Lily Owen, [protected], [protected]@gmail.com
I would very much appreciate a refund/ gift card, thankyou!
coles organic australian sultanas
It just occurred to me that the ingredients of this product have been changed. What was once 100% sultanas is now 99.5% sultanas with the rest made up with vegetable oil (Canola). Calling this organic is utterly ridiculous given all vegetable oils are hydrogenated thereby rendering them impossible to digest plus it is almost certain that the canola is genetically modified and doused in Roundup. Monsanto losing recently in the courts regarding Roundup causing cancer pretty much null and voids the organic label. I'll never shop at Coles again and I'll certainly be telling friends and family that Coles is making a mockery of the organic section.
tobacco
For the past 5 weeks the tobacco & cigarettes I have always purchased at Coles have been unavailable. Therefore I have to go down to Woolworths to purchase same, & have calculated that this has cost me an extra $65.00 over this period, as Woolworths are much dearer. The Coles store concerned is Noranda. Can someone please explain this to me.
Thank you
Ron Brown
coles online
I placed an order online and was given a time frame of between 2_10pm. I checked order several times and was first given the time of 7pm that changed to 8pm and again a change to 9pm.i am a single mum with four young kids and five months pregnant and thought shopping online world be easier for me to do. I was not expecting to wait till 9pm and have the delivery show up to have the driver tell me payment did not go through and they would not except cash. Had I been sent an email or text or a phone call earlier in the day I could have made other plans. I was left unable to feed my children there dinner and would have nothing for breakfast. At such a late hour I had already had a baby asleep and was forced to wake him and have him screaming all the way to the service station just to be able to give my older kids something to eat. I don't think this is appropriate for your staff to do. If there is problem with payment going through can someone not call or email to allow alternative to this situation. One very unhappy customer who will be shopping elsewhere in the future

Abandoned trolley that have been reported and not collected
I have reported numerous times the trollies that are littering the streets around Wanneroo shopping centre, there are 8 in Dundebar road by the Council Offices and across the road, a couple on Civic Drive and it's growing daily.
This is not only unsightly but must be at a cost to customers when lost and damaged trollies will result in us the consumers paying in the end.
I cannot see the point of having a Abandoned trolly app and nothing being done to collect them
coles home delivery
I just had a Coles truck turn up while watering my garden and lawn, he ignored that I was there watering my fresh fertilised lawn and parked right where I was, he asked if it was ok, I said no you can see clearly I'm out here tending to my lawns, he ignored my request to move the truck, he deliverd to the house/duplex across the road. 33 Elizabeth Circuit, Flinders NSW, 2529.
Mind you their driveway was available for him to park in. When he came back I told him how rude he was, he just smirked. No apology.
I consider this behaviour extremely rude and inconsiderate and will now be forced to plant trees or put stakes into the ground to avoid this happening again.
I was in clear view hosing my lawn. He asked if it was ok then ignored me when I said no. I wish to make a formal complaint regarding this driver.
I live across the road at number 26 Elizabeth Circuit.
Sindy Took.
Please email me back on
[protected]@hotmail.com
For starters, the grass he is parked on, doesn't belong to you as it's the natures strip, so council owns it. Secondly, based on the photo you posted, this truck doesn't interfere with anything you're doing. I don't see how a truck parked maybe, 30 centimeters off the road interferes with you watering your lawn (which by the looks of the photo is before 4pm so you're currently breaking water restriction rules but we wont go there). To over exaggerate that you "will now be forced to plant trees or put stakes into the ground to avoid this happening again" is a bit excessive considering this is a first time occurrence, and with lack of additional posts I will say this is the one and only time this has happened. Sure this gentlemen could have been rude to you, but based on the way you've reacted and posted online in seeks of putting through a formal complaint, it looks more as though you are seeking some sort of "revenge" for a man doing his job than a resolution to a non-extant problem.
