callipo tuna
For some reason Coles has removed from its shelves the range of Callipo Tunas. This Italian tuna is the only canned tuna sold by Coles that was not made / canned in Asia. We always prefer to buy quality products, and Asia has a poor track record in providing such. We as a family do not buy products processed in Asia. Unless Coles restocks this product we will be forced to source it elsewhere.
himalyan pink salt grinder
I brought the salt grinder on the 25th May 2017 so it was fairly new.
Yesterday the 5th of June 2017, I was making soup. A whole pot of beautiful soup that had been slow cooking for over 12 hours... all the ingredients were also from Coles. I thought it needed a little salt to taste so I grinded some salt directly over the soup... the lid came off the salt and half of the container went into my soup and spoiled it completely! My soup now tasted like the ocean and was inedible.
It was very disappointing.
No, I didn't.
coles global roaming sim
Product is listed on the internet by Coles, however staff say it is not available.
To Coles Southland your lack of interest and preparedness to offer customer assistance was extremely off putting.
I would say it was definitely a well theirs nothing I can do so buzz off.
Then if you try and ring Coles it is the endless delay on hold, then they flick you to another person who cant help.
just want you to give up or die waiting online.
service
I am here to escalate a previous complaint which I was dissatisfired with the previous response.
Coles online decided to cancel my order the DAY before the delivery was.meant to happen, they did not even try and reschedule to another date ot try to partially fill the order. Heck, barley an apology, instead sent and email of cancelation with no explaination and a phone call later that day explaining it was ny fault i ordered TOO MUCH, handled very unprofessionally by the closest store to us that can do online delivery.
I even had someone hired to recieve the delivery so that went to waste.
I dont see why firstly i didnt get more notice for the cancelation, secondly it couldnt be rescheduled, thrdly why the store who called us was so rude, lastly the response to the complaimt was so vague, unhelpful and basically brushed off.
Not only after that incident, the reply to my complaint was worst / unsatisfactory that the actual incident.
The complaint was basically brushed off like nothing, if this is the way Coles treats their customers then we will have to take our business elsewhere.
We were spending approximately $400/month, had no major issues till this incident but i believe this whole thing had been handled very poorly by that store and the customer service department who handled the complaint did very poorly.
I do not wish to continue using Coles.until i do see an improvement in Coles customer service, I only wish to inform you of my situation so it doesnt happen to someone else.
I have attached information if you CHOOSE to investigate further but in summary I am dissatisfied with that store who dealt with the order and the customer service rep who dealt with the complaint below.
Dear Shirley,
Thank you for contacting us regarding your recent Coles Online order.
We were concerned to hear about the items you ordered being unavailable and extend our apologies.
Although we attempt to fulfill every order, unfortunately there are times where we are unable to. This is mainly due to the fact that we pick your order from a local Coles store and not a warehouse – which can sometimes limit available stock.
Unfortunately it is not possible to ascertain why the products you ordered were not substituted, as appropriate substitutes are at the discretion of the personal shoppers at time of picking.
Please also note that our pickers are restricted by our Minimum Acceptance policy, which dictates the minimum use-by/best before dates that products delivered online must have when they arrive to you. Therefore, if there is stock on shelf that does not meet these requirements, this item cannot be supplied to you.
We appreciate you getting in touch. Your custom is very important to us and we hope that in light of the information provided, that you will give our team another go.
Yours sincerely,
Savanna
reselling bought items
Did you know that at coles mooloolaba if you leave a bag of groceries at the check out, that you have already paid for so the items belong to you and you don't go back and get them before closing time that day. That they do not keep them or make a record of them that those thieving [censor] but then put them back on the shelves and sell them again. How the hell can they get away with this act of theft. As the items do not belong to them they were paid for, I am so pissed off that I will never walk into a coles supermarket again. If you walk out without paying for items you get arrested and have a criminal record and a fine. So why the [censor] can they get away with such a blatant act of theft...
I am complaining about a sim card I bought from coles ellenbrook.
I was in rush this morning when I went to Coles to buy a sim card for my new phone. I bought a 29.90 plan with amaysim, came back home to activate to the sim. I put my deities in and at end one of the staff asked me to put my credit card in, I asked her what for? And she said just put in your credit card deities because you need to pay for the sim card, I explained to her that I have already paid 29.90 at Coles and am not going to pay another amount of money to you guys. I went back to cole to explained to them what happened because before I bought the sim card I did check with one of the staff if the sim card comes with credit, she said yes you shouldn't have problem with that just go online and active. So when i tried to activate the sim is not working that's why I decided to go to coles to explain what was wrong with the sim card. I spoke to the staff at the front desk and we tried to activate the sim together but still not working. She called Jane the manager to come and see what was wrong with the sim card she was like I don't care you have already opened the sim card the and the policy of Coles said no refund I also told her if I could change the sim she said no. I told her that I want to see the manager and she said no I'm the manager. She told m to call the amaysim, tried to call them and the told to go to Coles where I bought the sim. I was not happy the the way she spoken to me . This is not a $2 sim this is a 29.90 sim. Staff should learn manners on how to talk to people. If something is wrong you have to fix it or give the person an options to pick.
purebred-white loaf
Hi, I am a big fan of the Purebread white loaves and have needed to shop at 3 stores on average (Fountain Gate, Eden Rise and Dandenong Plaza) to purchase the 3-4 loaves per week I eat as stock has always been limited. I have spoken to the very helpful bakery manager at the Dandenong plaza store who informed me that Coles no longer stock this brand and are unable to purchase it on request. I tried the 'Genius' replacement however have had a reaction to it. Purebred's main ingredient is rice flour, making it for me, a much healthier alternative than the other gluten free breads made with maize/tapioca. Is there any way for this bread to come back in store at Dandenong plaza? It would be great if you would consider stocking the Purebread raisin loaf also to save me from going to Woolworths to purchase it. Thanks for your consideration.
coles victoria gardens store 686
This is the complains to Coles Victoria Gardens store 686. I usually shop in the morning before 9am, there are only 1 check out line open. Last week I only need to pay for 1 item but people in front of me had a whole trolley. There are more than 5 people waiting, we complained as a lot of us need to go to work. Then store manager Brad came and opened the self check out. I asked Brad "what time does self check out open", he didn't give me a time, just said " it is open". This morning I went to shopping again at 8.40am, only need to pay 1 item. There are only one check out open as usual and there are 2 people waiting already. I went to self check out and assumed like store manager Brad did, if there are more people waiting to pay and not enough lines open you can use the self check out. However, there are 3 ladies came saying you can't use it. I said I asked Brad last time and there is no sign saying you can't use a self check out and there is no opening hours visible to customers the opening hours for self check out. They had a go with me because I am trying to pay and I made a comment, "if you don't want people to use self check out, put a big sign for open and close time and make sure you have enough regular check out lines open". Woolworth the Hive in Richmond did heaps better as they always have people stand by to let customer pay. I am just wondering instead of arguing with customer whether you should or should not use the self check out, why can't your store work on customer service, if there is no waiting time, why would people use self check out? why can't 3 girls just help me pay and let me go back to work asap? Even bring me to a different regular line to pay.
king prawns
Last night around 4 pm We bought just under a kilo of king prawns from australia at the Coles in Noosa Heads-junction 4566. We cooked them for diner the same night.
We both woke up feeling sick, were sick all day, couldn't eat anything and had to call and sick to work. As I'm casual I lost a whole day of pay.
I can not believe that you would sell products that make people sick !
I told my friends around and they all said: no you shouldn't buy from them, they freeze, defrost and freeze again ! That is outrageous !
coles long white rolls
I have a standing order at Coles Reynella for 6 packs of Coles long white rolls every week for my shop. Suddenly these rolls are not available and it is really hard to get hot dog rolls long enough for our hot dogs. Please reinstate this product or bring out hot dog rolls that are much longer than the ridiculously short ones that are available now. I have a business to run and no time to be running from store to store looking for rolls long enough for what I want.
western star spreadable butter
This product has been clearly advertised as an everyday low price of $5. Yesterday the sticker was gone and the price had jumped 80c! This is an absolute disgrace! I can understand putting things up but this is rediculous. Does your company think that consumers will not notice this? I am sure there are many many other low price everyday items that are no longer there now after this, and I will definitely notice. Not happy. Maybe Woolworths is a better option afterall.
pricing error policy
This morning(27/05/17) 10:43 at Garden City Mount Gravatt Brisbane, I brought a pack of Coles Marinana which was priced at $13.50. However, when I checked the invoice, I found I was charged $14.50 for that. So I went to the counter to tell the lady who did refund the money $14:50 to my credit card and then charged my credit card again $13.50 for the Marinana. However, the customer next to me telling me that according to Coles Pricing Error Policy, I should be given the Marinana for free. So I came home and checked the Coles Policy online and found that according to Coles Pricing Policy I should have the Marinana for free.
I really don't know why I was treated differently and would request you look into the matter and advise me accordingly.
Attached please find the photo of the invoices with all my flybuys card details. If you check the records you will find me a loyal customer of Coles.
front desk
I called Coles Wanneroo and was put straight through to the front desk. A man with a strong Scottish accent answered, I just wanted to know if they stocked a Winfield packet of cigarettes called 'original menthol boost' I did ask to speak to someone else as he didn't seem to be understanding my request - but everyone else was obviously busy. After a while waiting he came back and named 3 brands of Menthol cigarettes they have and I asked 'but what about the Winfield brand' he told me to hang on again as he would check. He came back and said that 'yes they have the menthol cigarettes by winfield'. (Bear in mind Winfield make 4 types of menthol cigarettes that I know of so I needed to be sure they stocked the ones I am asking about.) I repeated the name numourous times. Finally he checked for the third time and a lady in the background yelled out yes we have them. I told the man that I was on my way if that was the case. He assured me they definitely had them in stock. 10 minutes later I arrived at the front desk greeted by the man I had spoken with, I ask him for the cigarettes and depending how many there were I wanted a carton or 2, a lady jumped in to say they didn't sell them. The lady that originally told the man they sold them walked over and assured me they did in fact sell them... So I'm waiting while she is searching in every draw until she comes back and says 'No we must have sold them' I told her I just called and the man stepped in and said that HE DID NOT CHECK THE STOCK he was just told that they sell them! I was fuming. Absolutely lost for words. Completely waste of time!
french vanilla almonds
My long term favourite French vanilla almonds which I bought last week at the Coles Southland shopping center wasn't the same quality as I usually buy. The flavoure is ok but I think they left the nuts somewhere moist for a long time...? They are not crunchy and even a little chewy almost. Miss that original quality of it. It's the one that you can weight yourself. Please pay attention to the sustainability of produts
cigarette sales
This morning I went to my local store to purchase 3 items. I waited 2nd in line in the fast lane. There were three of us in the line, one was before me. There was one person on the cigarette side of the counter, who was there when I joined the line. The checkout lady served the person requesting cigarettes, and rightly so. She then came & served the lady before me in the line, again, rightly so. Whilst she was serving the lady in front of me, another person approached the counter after cigarettes. The checkout lady then went over & served the person requesting cigarettes. Bad move! This is not the first time this has happened. Last Sunday there were so many people at the cigarette counter that people were struggling to exit the store, and you have to go past the cigarette counter to do so. I strongly suggest you change your work practices. People at the local IGA store have to line up in the checkout line tp purchase cigarettes, a much better practice. This all happened this morning, 24 June, at our Kurri Kurri store.
original kombucha
I am someone that drinks Kombucha on a daily basic, it's delicious. I was excited to see that you now have it in store & just tried it and it's awful.
It still tastes like tea, which mean's it has not been left long enough to become the bubbly deliciousness that Kombucha is.
Disappointed. Someone needs to try a few other brands and compare with this one. Something is not right.
coles dark chocolate
Hi we buy coles dark chocolate 200gram block plus other,
Love the chocolate however the red silver coating comes off on your hands when handling leaving some on your hands then put the chocolate in your mouth possibly tainting the taste.
Please don't stop making it we love it .
Previous blocks didn't do this and the coles mint chocolate doesn't do this .
eggs
I recently had a disappointing episode. After I returned home I went to open the eggs pack and found that instead of extra large the eggs were actually extra small. I used a couple for a dinner recipe and breakfast but decided that coles should be made aware. The cost of one pack is really insignificant but what if someone is substituting small eggs for large ones and pocketing the difference, which could be significant on a large scale. My disappointment rose when I had my assistant take the eggs back and inform store management. She was chastised for consuming some of the eggs before returning them. There were more than enough remaining eggs to demonstrate their small size. The manager missed the point, which was not to obtain a refund or replacement but to inform coles.
ice brake ice coffee
Coles is the only supermarket that sells the ice brake and u have stopped stocking this item when its the most selling product and so many people are unhappy about it why did this happen for as now u cant buy a 2 liter or 1.25 liter any where now so if this is going to keep happing when people find a good product and where its stocked to be able to buy it then with out warning u take it away very blody unhappy
1 kilo of 3 star beef mince
Bought 1 kilo of mince to half and use 500g in 2 dishes. Went to measure out first meal and noticed I had used way more than half. Measured all of the mince together total was 807g! Thought it might be my scales so checked 2 other products and scales were accurate. I find this extremely deceiving and very inconvenient. Photos attached show comparison to validate scales
